301  Economy / Economics / Re: Blockchain technology is not a trend on: June 22, 2018, 04:12:47 PM
Well it is obviously a trend. I get calls all the time about it.  Roll Eyes
There is hardly a large tech company without a blockchain group now. I don't understand what 90% of the population has to do with it. For that matter I bet 99.9% of people have absolutely no clue about how the IP protocol works, yet they use it every hour of every day.

You are welcome to lose as much money as you like with airdrops!  Grin
303  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin the predominant one among forks? on: June 22, 2018, 02:40:45 PM
For me. Because alt-coins are bitcoin for dumb people.  Undecided
304  Economy / Speculation / Re: Very strong bear market is back. on: June 22, 2018, 02:02:42 PM
Hi kuwkduck! Long time no see. I thought a drop in valuation would bring you back. lol

Still advising people to "SELL SELL" based on fear? That did not work out well for you when you sold for... what $200USD. Ouch. I would estimate I made $5Mil. ignoring you last year alone.

P.S. Although we are clearly in a bear market. You are right about that.
305  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-06-20] Amsterdam Schiphol Airport Installs Europe’s First Airport Bitcoin on: June 22, 2018, 01:55:12 PM
Well. that clinches it. My next vacation to one of my favorite cities. I was going to stay in the USA for a change. But my money is too good for Trupshits small minded America. Europe and Canada are the leaders of the free world now.

Here it is:

P.S. I know this airport very well. It looks like the ATM is near the currency exchange near the train exit.
306  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin keep falling? on: June 22, 2018, 01:48:29 PM
So if you have some desire to see a high valuation I ask you what are you doing about it? Did you demand that a retailer accept bitcoin before you shop there again? Did you ever contact a place you shop about this? Then why on earth would you expect thee price to go up?

The price is fine. It is the valuation of their utility. It will go up when it is used more or go down if it's not. As far as alt-coins being "dragged down" by bitcoin. That is completely backwards. Alts have no value other than what they can garner from bitcoin. So bitcoin is the only thing dragging them up at all. When bitcoin falls they have no support.

Nuclear weapons are the answer.  Simply exterminate the humans.
308  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a Ponzi scheme? on: June 21, 2018, 03:08:43 PM
Seriously, this question is so 2010

If it is a ponzi then why does nobody get any money from it?
309  Economy / Speculation / Re: How Bitcoin will end 2018 ? on: June 21, 2018, 02:56:17 PM
The first thing to know is there is no such thing as a bitcoin/blockchain expert who can predict the future. This "expertise" is also called bull shit by anyone who knows better.

Why not challenge him to a real bet with real money? Then you will see his confidence shrink back into a hole. His figure of 60K is nothing more than a daydream he convinced himself of. If it does go to 60K+ then he will declare himself a genius. If it falls to 2K he will claim the whales did it.

 Cheesy
310  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Are Bitcoin Casinos Legal ? on: June 21, 2018, 02:50:49 PM
Not legal. I assume you live in the Islamic state. Oh... you are in Las Vegas.? Then totally legal.
311  Economy / Speculation / Re: When Will Bitcoin Be Back To $20,000 ? on: June 21, 2018, 02:12:09 PM
I assume you mean IF, not WHEN? There is no destiny here. What will happen is going to depend on what you do, not what you think. So what are you doing to cause the price to climb?
312  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should I buy the current ICO? on: June 19, 2018, 03:54:25 PM
If ICO's had any value then the issuer wouldn't want your bitcoin, right? But that is not the case. The ICO is specifically designed to get your bitcoin and leave you holding a bag of crap. So as to your question, a hard NO from me.
313  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin and astrology !!! on: June 19, 2018, 03:49:07 PM
You need to update your science. A lot has happened since the bronze age.
314  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No women in Bitcoin you say? on: June 19, 2018, 03:45:48 PM
But the biggest fuck-up of all: Lightning Network / Lightning Labs is led by Elizabeth Stark.  If you like train wrecks, get Elizabeth to lead us there.

You can see for yourself how Lightning works...

My wife has been experimenting with lightning. She likes it. If you use it correctly it can save a lot in fees. However it does not work in all use cases. I think lightning does have future, but it needs some more work, and more importantly some more adoption.

Here is a fun place to experiment with lightning:  https://satoshis.place/

Here you can pay 1 Satoshi per pixel and post whatever you want. It is a demonstration of just how small transactions can be with lightning.
315  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A short guide about how to earn money online! on: June 18, 2018, 08:28:09 PM
That's good advice too. Is Craigslist.org international?

It is in many parts of the world. and I think the "cryptocurrency ok" button is available worldwide. It is at least USA wide.
316  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: i don't know what website my wallet is registered under. on: June 18, 2018, 05:42:19 PM
I do remember what password i had used.

That could help. Don't say your password. But different sites use different systems. It may help to know if your password is a pass-phrase.  Some of the biggest players are perhaps Coinbase.com,  blockchain.info and greenaddress.it Does that ring a bell?
317  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A short guide about how to earn money online! on: June 18, 2018, 05:34:17 PM
I would add Craigslist.org to the options for selling. They now have a button to advertise that you take bitcoin or other cryptocurrency. Check it out, there are likely things for sale near you that can be bought for bitcoin.
318  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: i don't know what website my wallet is registered under. on: June 18, 2018, 04:50:35 PM
Unless you have exclusive control of your private key then you don't have any bitcoin. I'm afraid it may be very hard to figure out what website has the bitcoin wallet you are looking for. Whichever site it is may also require you to remember any password or pass-phrase you set up.

In any case, there is no money in that wallet address.

319  Economy / Speculation / Re: why now all coins are going down and when are they are are going to stable on: June 18, 2018, 04:44:57 PM
Supply vs. demand, like always. IMO the reason they all go down is because only bitcoin is credible.  The alts fall and rise with bitcoin, and that's if you are very lucky. The overwhelming majority of alts never bounce back after a crash. If you bought alts consider it a lesson learned.

320  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has no built-in consumer protection? on: June 18, 2018, 03:56:08 PM
Bitcoin offers no such protections? And the Transactions are Irreversible as well.

These includes the following like:
Protection from counterfeit bank notes BTC
Protection from financial surveillance BTC
Protection from identity theft BTC

What are you opinions?

No other currency in history offer consumers as much protection as bitcoin.

Protection from counterfeit notes =

Producing a counterfeit bitcoin can be done if you can create the largest computer network in history. It will cost billions to make and only MAY work. This is why there has never been a counterfeit bitcoin.

Protection from financial surveillance =
If you know what you are doing then there is absolutely no way anyone can tell your wallet from any other wallet. Of course all transactions are recorder in the blockchain, but nobody knows who owns those coins or who they just paid. Unless you add that functionality on top of the protocol.

Protection from identity theft =

Last year I replaced my bank card three times due to data breaches. Guess how many times I had my identity compromised with bitcoin? Yep, zero in eight years of use.  No currecny offers the protection bitcoin offers against identity theft. Why? Because unlike ALL other payment systems bitcoin does not tie your identity to your money. Thieves don't care about your stupid identity, they want your money and getting your identity is the key. With bitcoin I can, (AND HAVE), posted the password to my Overstock.com account.  You could get in and see what I bought, but there is no credit card on file and no path to my wallet.
