302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IOTA Shuts down it's mainnet as investigations is ongoing about stolen funds on: February 16, 2020, 10:53:10 AM
That is very very bad news for IOTA because it only shows how centralized this project really is. IOTA will have problem to gain the popularity back again after this incident because everyone will know what happen. The situation is similiar what happened to Ethereum after DAO hack.

Centralized? Just because it got hacked. IOTA isnt a type of blockchain mate. They incorporating Dag Technology and the first one to employ it. How come can you compared IOTA to rubbish hackable which cant regain their popularity? Come on..

People above you is true and you are the one who doesn't understand how centralized the DAG system is. Even if it's not a blockchain but that's a truly centralized system and look at the title of the news that already mentioned by OP. IOTA has shutdown the mainnet and what fuck is this thing? that has proven if DAG is a truly centralized system.

Some people made a lot of funny comments about this situation, the most interesting one was about pausing the main network! How is that possible with a decentralized system? It's not possible, that's the illusion. This move from IOTA made me think about my holdings, I have some IOTA for a long time now, and until I saw this I thought it's a good long term investment, now I am not sure in that.
What should we do now? To keep holding and investing in IOTA or to dump IOTA and move to some real decentralized coin?
303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is this time to Sell altcoins before BTC Halving on: February 15, 2020, 06:18:51 PM
A common question here, tell me what to do and how to make the highest possible profit?!
Nobody can give an answer to this question, we all make decisions and hope for the best. There are experts that think they are better than others in predicting the future, anyone can choose to trust them more. I will not sell my altcoins, I have what I think I need to have for the future. I have my opinion and I stick to that, which I would advise others, to have an opinion and believe in that.
304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whoa, Ethereum breaks the $200 barrier on: February 14, 2020, 10:06:48 AM
Ethereum price already passed away 250$ marks. Seeing this, I feel that alt sessions is back again. I really believe that this year Ethereum price will hit 500$ mark after a long time.

$500 is far away from here, I doubt in that. I will close my longs it hits $300, I believe it will come to that mark before we see a correction. I bought a couple Ethereum's at $100, x3 is a nice profit, I thought it will come sooner, but after some time here it is. I also believe in correction, I expect Ethereum to drop back under $200, it will be an awesome opportunity for buying and multiplying my Ethereum stack.

I agree that you can close your long when it hits $300, and it's good that if you have bought them at $100 x3 is not that bad. I still have my long open though, not going to sell at least @$500.

I don't see it dropping back under $200, maybe that is like 20%-30% pullback and it unlikely to happen unless bitcoin as well goes on the downward spiral which is doubtful, just saying.

I will not sell all I have, I will save something just in case the price skyrocket to $500. Following Ethereum for years I developed some strategies, in my personal opinion rise to $500 is almost impossible, in some short period of time. One day the price will get there, I believe in that, but not so fast.
Unless Bitcoin got's downtrend momentum, which will happen. After every rise we have a drop, I don't see why the same thing will not happen again. Over a week the prices rise, and soon the price will change direction.

306  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is back with a bang. on: February 12, 2020, 07:08:17 PM
Bitcoin always comes back with a bang, didn't you learn that by now in all the years until now? I think even birds know that Bitcoin always bounces back, it will take time for Bitcoin to make new all times high, but that will happen eventually.
to be honest, I'm not really surprised to see this, because I believe that the price of bitcoin can be higher than it is today. I predict that the price will be above the $ 12k price before halving, and higher after that. I think it's still early, so I'm waiting for a bigger price.
well, you might not be surprised to see the price of bitcoins that experience price increases like this, but for new traders who are still familiar with bitcoin and only buy bitcoin when their cheap prices enter the right position and can get a lot of profit so they are very happy now, it's better indeed save bitcoin until halving occurs so that the profit gained can be more.

Me neither, this is a usual Bitcoin price movement. I believe in a much higher price of Bitcoin, this is just an intro in what Bitcoin can do!
307  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy only bitcoin or take chances in altcoin casino? on: February 12, 2020, 11:30:43 AM
There is different type of altcoins even if we can indeed speak about casino.

However, we can look at some parameters:

- How old is the coin?
- Was it attach overtime and how did it evolved to prevent such attack again?
- Does it have an active development community?
- Does it play the marketing part at 100% in order to attract people or is it reinforcing it's technology foundation to make sure it will stay overtime?

Bitcoin is a reference. 50% in the portfolio is great. Then you can probably put 5% here and there. I would keep 10-20% for highly undervalued coins such as Feathercoin for instance.

I agree with you man, 50% in Bitcoins is great for every portfolio. We can't deny the existence of some altcoins, and their potentially great future. I have around 10-20% in some undervalued coins, with the price under 10c and market cap lower than 10 million. Who knows what the future holds, the crypto market is changing all the time, making progress, upgrade, I wouldn't be surprised if we see some changes in the top 10 in the next few years!
308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Am done with KYC on: February 11, 2020, 04:51:41 PM
Based on the data submitted by users, it is possible to calculate certain statistics that many projects abuse the requirements to provide passport data and this is a way of deceiving the participants of the Bounty company.  According to statistics, most of these projects do not even pay the required fee, which leads to the idea that the Bounty Hunters provide their personal information to whom it is not clear to anyone.  Although if you look a few steps into the future, then according to the forecasts of global legalization of cryptocurrency, in any case, KYC will be provided for each user of the cryptocurrency, in order to avoid fraud and criminal activity using cryptocurrency.

KYC hurts normal people more than it hurts criminals, it's what I think. Ordinary people are forced to go through some verifications for what? So they can invest their own money in project they believe in? Or because someone wishes to buy something he needs to be verified to do that?
I try to avoid KYC whenever I can. I do that just if there's no other option for me.
309  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best trading platform? on: February 11, 2020, 11:16:46 AM
For me the best trading platform is KuCoin, it has a good volume, high security and I don't need more than that. Very reliable exchange, with many promotions, trading competitions. They are constantly working on upgrading and developing, that can be seen by their KuCoin shares, they hold steady price with occasional spikes, but it never falls below $1.2 mark.
I use other exchanges too, depends on the coin I wish to trade, but KuCoin is always my number 1 choice if they have a pair I am looking for.
310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will 2020 be bearish as well? on: February 11, 2020, 09:13:27 AM
BTC has been bullish since 2018, remember the lowest low? $3200 Dec 2018? So from $3200-$10k that seems to be bullish to me.

As far as altcoin goes though, we have seen some steady growth this year alone. So they might have recovered as BTC does, but I'm sure that we will see it flourish once more when we official enter altcoin bull run, perhaps in April, prior to bitcoin block halving and till after.

I agree with you, the rise from $3200 to $10K looks like a bullish trend! But many altcoins are left behind, and that is what bothers many people. Some altcoins had a steady growth in the past year, but not all of them. Some of them are still going down, and for me, it's a question will they recover at all in the future. The bull run is coming, official or not I think that many altcoins will not recover, they will drop more because of better ones appeared on the crypto stage.
311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum very volatile on: February 10, 2020, 09:17:30 PM

I don't think that the Ethereum price can continuously rise at the same pace until May. It will rise to $300 if we are lucky and then it will drop back under $200. People are getting excited by this market movement in the past week or more, but this is not the start of the new bull run. Regular fluctuations in cryptomarket, I will sell if it comes to $300, top can't be far from that.

no mate this is already the start of the bull run that many people awaits  .if i were you , i wont limit my expectations by this year but its true that prices of the coins have a break time . what i mean is that they cant continue to increase forever but at some point , they can stop and go down . eth is not also volatile as btc or other unstable coins but eth in my opinion is more likely close to as a stable coin   . its not hard to predict eth in this matter  , thats why many people are rooting for it  .

Oh, my friend, I limited my expectations for a reason! I know that prices are going up, and I too believe that Ethereum will make a new all times high price one day, but that day will not be this year I think. It's my opinion, and I am trying to have reasonable predictions. In that way, I practice my patient too, I rarely get disappointed by the price movement in general. My trading is mid and long term, and I sold some Ethereums now over $200, I think it will drop and I will buy again!

313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum very volatile on: February 08, 2020, 03:15:20 PM
Ethereum is a good coin but very difficult to predict its movement and that explain the volatility. Now is over 200$ , we can only hope that we do not experience a draw back.

It's not that is hard to predict it. Market movement has pattern and this happening now to ethereum is not shocking cause the TA show that it will increase up to 500 up to May 2020 if the surge is continously in this level. IMO, the current level will continue to its support, as you can see the resistance is quite strong.

I don't think that the Ethereum price can continuously rise at the same pace until May. It will rise to $300 if we are lucky and then it will drop back under $200. 314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: sell bitcoin to buy fiat or altcoin? on: February 07, 2020, 07:03:07 PM
Bitcoin is growing, it doesn't make sense to sell and buy alts at all, it's better to keep both alts and Bitcoin, but it's definitely not worth selling Bitcoin for investment in alts.

Sometimes you can diversify, it can be profitable if you pick the right time for that. Now it's not the time for that, Bitcoin is rising higher and faster than other altcoins. When this rise comes to the end, or close to it, it will be good timing for exchanging Bitcoins for some altcoins. Who can say where will be the peak of this rise? Probably there's nobody with that prediction skills, what's left for people is to risk, to try to do something to make more profit and if they succeed it will be great, but be aware that you can also lose!
315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull run top 5 Alts for 2020. on: February 07, 2020, 04:03:36 PM
NEO and ETH, this year can be a year of the platforms. Stellar, Tezos, TRX, BNB, and many more. Which one from these will jump high and which one will stay where they are now is a million-dollar question. I think Ethereum is a good pick, along with NEO and Stellar. All of them are surviving this bear market. While Ethereum and Stellar, TRX, BNB are constantly in the news, about NEO there's almost nothing. Price dropped under a dollar, and do you people remember where it was?
316  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the most popular cryptocurrencies for investors? on: February 06, 2020, 06:19:26 PM
Maybe the one that everyone is using, Bitcoin. Many people are speculating that bitcoin has a better future compared to altcoins because first of all it is on the game since the beginning of cryptocurrencies. It starts with a small price and by the year 2017 it went to the moon making it the greatest achievement of bitcoin. That is why the hypothesis of many users is that it will happen again and even go up to a hundred thousand as years go by.

I believe that people are using most of the coins from the top 100. Normally the most popular are in the top 10. Bitcoin was and will remain the most popular coin, I don't see any other coin that can move Bitcoin from that number 1 position. In the far future who knows what will happen, but for now, Bitcoin is one and only.
317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Binance price prediction for 2020 on: February 06, 2020, 01:49:00 PM
I think the price of BNB will reach around the price of $ 30, and most precisely, the price can be above the price of $ 25. for now, BNB prices may reach $ 20, when crypto prices start rising again. maybe before the end of the month of February, the price of the BNB will be close to $ 20.
if it was able to reach that price last year and BNB made a new ATH, it would be possible this year since it looks like we are slowly stepping into a bull market. BNB ATH was $39+, (close to $40) so maybe the next target would be $50 usd and I believe it will be easy to achieve as BNB still has more room to grow.
Even now the price is much close to $19 so the first target which you mentioned might be not that difficult for binance to reach. They already have a huge number or registrations each day and that is what deriving the price on a greater price range. That time is not too far when we could see BNB price above $20.

I remember when the price was been traded on much smaller price gap and that time not most of the investors trusted  BNB coin but now as the coin is showing us significant growth, we could trust the coin for short term profit. For long term, we surely would at least gain 70% margin so this seems a good coin to invest into so far.

On some exchanges, Binance Coin is already over $20, more than 6% up today. We don't know what BNB is capable of. With just a $39 all-time high price we can assume that BNB will make a new ATH price very soon, probably this year. I think it's possible BNB to hit $100, that wouldn't surprise me. This year only started, there is a lot of time and free space ahead of us, one thing is sure, BNB is a great coin for long term investing.
318  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm trapped in trading on: February 05, 2020, 04:47:03 PM
I think Bitcoin will go a couple more times under $9k before it takes off. Now $10k is close, it wouldn't be strange for the price to check that high levels before it drops back under $9k. In my opinion if Bitcoin crosses $10k that will be a good signal for selling, if it goes under $9k it will be a good signal for buying.
319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Yobit X10 Token on: February 04, 2020, 06:35:46 PM
Huge drama is around Yobit and Yobit tokens! If you search this forum you will find some people explaining why Yobit tokens are a scam. I will not tell you to invest in X10 or not, it's your call, but don't say later that you haven't been warned!
By the way, the Yobit campaign on this forum is stopped because of the X10 signature that leads people to invest in the Ponzi scheme. It smells fishy around the Yobit.

Cryptocompare exchange review
https://www.cryptocompare.com/media/36639870/cryptocompare_exchange_review_2019_11.pdf

The Cryptocompare portal has some interesting reports where they explain how they evaluate the exchanges, in the portal you can select the list of exchanges by centralized, decentralized, by country and some more variables to order the presentation to your liking.

The reports are quite extensive, but they provide a lot of data, reading them will not save us from possible hackers in an exchange, with the information they present we have an "approximate" idea of the veracity of volume or liquidity of the exchange.

If you wish to save yourself from a possible hack and losing funds you have on some exchange you can do only two things, withdraw your funds when you finish with trading or use a decentralized exchange. Withdrawing funds after trading can be expensive, fees are high! Decentralized exchanges are slow with their low volumes. What is better to do, risking with leaving funds on an exchange, or being slow on dex but safe is a question for each of us.
