Goldman Sachs: Bitcoin can be useful for a troubled economy

According to the report of Goldman Sachs, Bitcoin and other crypto-currencies can be a good alternative to the national currency for countries with an unstable economy.

Analysts at Goldman Sachs Zack Pandle and Charles Himmelberg said that digital currencies and, in particular, Bitcoin, can become a viable means of payment in countries where traditional money is not sufficiently provided.

Goldman Sachs experts: crypto-currencies can help the troubled economy

But how will they earn bitcoin? Same logic goes to how they can earn fiat? Fiat or cryptocurrency, there must be a means to earning them. Sure, cryptocurrency could open up new opportunities but I don't think a large percentage could utilize it, especially for third-world countries. It does, however, provide ease in transactions, removing limits and intermediary. It could be, as it said, me another means of payment, but I don't really know if all of these would do better to a slow economy. Given that bitcoin transactions require network connection, and validation is not that fast, it will still be a theory.
Your analysis is very accurate, Bitcoin can easily become a payment method but the government how to manage it when it is too secure about user information, besides this, people of that country really love this method and accept it, even if they have enough money to be able to buy some bitcoin or mine. And another theory, some people's economy is better with bitcoin but whether with a country or even a lot of people, will it really work with all or will it work with very few people?
302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stable Coins are a Threat for Bitcoin? on: October 21, 2019, 01:00:56 PM
Let's discuss the potential effects of stable coins which are bound to usd or eur. We usually use them to avoid the volatility or short bitcoin in a way. There are many stable coins in the last year. By writing threat, I didn't mean issues like tether's issue. I mean, they are not coins, they are just usd and eur.
No, i don’t think that stable coins are a threat for Bitcoin or Ethereum. Yeah, a lot of controversy regarding stable coins specifically Tether (USDT) is the most using currency that's why all of the people’s used it for many different purposes. In the trading it’s highly used. Actually, stable coins can be protect your losses when the crypto market is very badly go to downtrend. This one is really big advantages in the crypto space. How it will be threat for Bitcoin i don’t know.
Yes, stable coins are good and it is suitable for every user to be able to trade and transfer money to each other in this area, even looking further, this could be a connection between the crypto world and the outside world but even though everything has such great points, it's still not likely to threaten bitcoin. Because if stable coins are the connection and make every transaction easier without volatility, Bitcoin is the dominant place, it creates money, creates jobs and changes for people to make money, Bitcoin is the center of interaction, while stable coins are just a small bridge
303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin is the sleeping giant on: October 19, 2019, 11:47:22 AM
Litecoin is the sleeping giant

Yup a fat giant that did nothing in last 8 years expect sleeping.  Smiley    It is time to wake up and start working buddy. Bring innovations on crypto table or be gone!
Before he wakes up, you better save any amount from him, because you will get great profits after he wakes up.
I'm also holding the LTC bit by bit that I bought a few months ago. I will sell it by the end of 2020 later.
I also agree that before litecoin has a strong awakening, we should accumulate, more or less depending on our thoughts, but remember that don't miss the opportunity because litecoin has received a lot of good reviews from the community, combined with the price has been going sideways for a long time, this accumulation can create strength in the future. And if you were planning to sell by the end of 2020, my intention for this is unclear, when the profits match, I will sell, unable to say anything in advance.
304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to be profitable in sports betting? on: October 19, 2019, 11:28:35 AM
You must master the type of sport you want to bet on.
don't place bets for things you don't know.
the results will be different if, you only rely on luck you will never win.
That's why just like I said if you want to increase your chances of winning, you should take time to do your research. Statistics plus luck will surely give you a bountiful profit. Luck is not enough to win especially in a sports betting game. And also playing with different types of sports will not going to help to win, just like you said, picking your type of sports to master in betting.
In other types of betting, when we no longer have the right elements to rely on, we are forced to rely on luck but for sports betting, luck is also a factor in this game, but more than that, we also have a few factors to optimize profits like you said, the analysis and statistics of past matches, increase the odds of success in predicting and turning this game into an analytical game, instead of pure luck. However, consider this as an investment to make more money for snacks and coffee, sometimes we will have money from it, do not imagine the further issues when going deeper into gambling, it will be more troublesome
305  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 95% fake volume :) on: October 19, 2019, 11:12:03 AM
I don't trust exchanges anymore except binance in terms of volume, they alwayd shows fake volume, one time I trade in one exchange then I am seeing different orders in the history that are not in the list. I think they doing just to gain investors. I only believes in binance list and nothing else follows.
many exchanges use fake volumes to attract investors and traders, I don't know, is actually making fake volumes allowed? because in my opinion this is very detrimental to traders, especially for novice traders who don't know anything yet. but of all exchanges I also agree with you that binance is one of the exchanges that has real volume.

That's why I always prefer binance who don't use the dirty trick of bot trading to show fake volumes like coinbene and I have mentioned this exchange named coinbene numerous times because they use too much of bot trading,  they are responsible for downfall of a well planned project named policy pal as the false volume killed the project.
Fake volume is just a plan of small and medium exchanges, they want to increase their credibility and presence in the crypto market, which allows them to receive more income, with big exchanges like binance, it's really unnecessary because for a very simple thing, they have created a steady demand and attraction, what they need to focus on are strategies and advertising, fake volumes will create bad reputations for them. Users should have an overview of the market exchanges, choose the right destination, know what is real and what is fake
306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Multiple Round ICOs? on: October 18, 2019, 12:34:14 PM
I've seen a lot of ICOs who had multiple rounds of crowd funding. Some even extend their crowd funding event to make sure that they have enough money to develop the project. I actually invested in an ICO 2 years ago and had forgot about it, it almost took them a year and up till now I haven't had any news if they were able to finish their ICO. I didn't bother too much since it is just a small amount of money. Most projects delay their launch date if they think it is needed to be done.
To be honest, I don't want to complain too much about ICO projects with many rounds but from my experience, I see most ICO projects launch many rounds and call for funding, the rate and success of these projects is very low because my first thought about these projects is that they don't have confidence to attract enough capital, so they need to create many rounds to help the project lengthen and attract more people. However, this road only reduces confidence from investors when the time is too long, the stagnation always makes people have aversion.
307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dont be surprised if ETH hits 4000$ on: October 18, 2019, 12:18:39 PM
I will really surprice and i'm sure it won't that much.
4k is really too much for ETH. It's daily volume is just half from bitcoin. If ETH price is 4k. it means the volume will multiply by 20 and the marketcap will surpass bitcoin.
I'm ok with 1k with bitcoin halving and ETH 2.0 , but 4k is too far

That's before 2021 according to OP, and we know a 1 year bullish movement would make it possible to rise further.
We've reach over $1K in the last bull run and if we might see some bull run it the next 2 years, things are possible.
However, i would not be expecting much like that price, at the current price now, I am okay with a x10 return in just 1 year, I think its too lucrative.
You do not need to repeat the prices that eth has broken out in the past because everyone can see from eth's price chart and more, we can all understand that it was the most favorable year for the crypto market, especially with the top altcoins, the development and receiving a lot of capital from the community. But since that year, market conditions have gradually stabilized and could not break through as in the past, it seems to be a recession, more precisely, the crypto market is saturated, and the price of eth will be difficult to go further, it will only fluctuate at the current low level.
308  Economy / Economics / Re: The U.S. Government Tried To Shut Down Bitcoin on: October 17, 2019, 12:21:05 PM
It was easy to shut down the crypto market in the past when it did not gain much attention from the investors in sthe starting phase but now the market has grown vast and its impossible to decline the usage of these coins like bitcoin. The governments are really afraid of these decentralized coins on which they have no control and thats why they use different ways to nib it but they also want to implement blockchain technology in their system. But nothing can stop the growth and usage of bitcoin around the world even not the US government as they have tried earlier also and failed each time.So be positive.
Indeed, the U.S. government was too subjective and missed the opportunity to close bitcoin at an early stage when bitcoin and the system did not receive too many major investors or any attention but only for a short time, the system and the crypto sector have been overgrown, bitcoin being the most prominent figure in this field, the shut down will face many protests and face many traders that have a great impact on the economy. Instead of trying to tightly control this system, the U.S. government, even other countries, should be flexible with bitcoin to create an additional source of profits for the nation.
309  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can I still get wealthy through Bitcoin? on: October 17, 2019, 12:04:07 PM
Anything can make you rich, as long as you have a formula to maximize what you have. Bitcoin becomes a very expensive asset, being rich is possible and being poor is also possible. The prediction is not 100% correct, cryptocurrency is very difficult to guess, so saying late there is no correlation with cryptocurrency volatility. Because if you want and try and have talent you can become rich.
Agree, if we are truly talented and strive on the road to work, wealth will come to us in any field or job but of course, you and I still can't deny that bitcoin and crypto are truly fascinating opportunities for all of us because as you say, bitcoin is an extremely valuable asset, with exceptionally high value at times, that makes our wealth rate through it also become higher than usual. However, no story is perfect and good in all circumstances, Bitcoin is similar when the risk has been said too much since its value spiked
310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: p2pb2b exchange top 1? on: October 15, 2019, 11:29:25 AM
I don't really know much about the P2P2B2B exchange, if I'm not mistaken this exchange was launched in January 2018 but I observed that most tokens generated from many new projects can already be traded there. I see again whether it is true or not or maybe it's just market manipulation but it's true that the P2P2B2B exchange is No.1 on the CMC site list and No.123 on the Coingecko site list.
I don't know too much about p2pb2b but some of my friends seem to underestimate this exchange even if it is ranked high on CMC because as you can see, this exchange lists a lot of new tokens, the quantity is too much which leads to poor quality control. In addition to these issues, many rumors have shown that the p2pb2b exchange is constantly faking trading volume, capitalization, and investors who are not very focused here, they are often in binance and some other quality exchanges, the first position on cmc doesn't seem to fit p2pb2b
311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What do you think of ETH Price will be by end of 2020? on: October 14, 2019, 01:06:16 PM
Yep, I'm sure there will be big movement of the price in eth because of eth 2.0. By the end of 2020 maybe it will reach around $1000-$1500 I guess. Well hopefully alt season will come in the year 2020.
Can you explain that you will reach this point using data or analysis? I am unsettled by the statements of many people without any basis regarding the prediction of ethereum from 2018 when the downtrend has occurred they believe this year will happen bullish
Perhaps he will be hard to come up with any analysis and database to become the basis for his predictions when so many people make speculations according to their inspiration, they just have a feeling that eth is good and except for that, they have almost no element to make it clear about their feelings. Talk about my comment, from what I observe on the graphs of eth values, it is recovering from past accidents, very slowly but very steadily, combined with those updates can be released, that could be a good source for many people to accumulate and help eth prices go up in 2020
312  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Technical Analysis Bullshit or Not? on: October 14, 2019, 12:48:24 PM
Technical analysis works to most traders, if its ineffective then they should have stop doing it long time ago. Only we can call it useless if it don't make sense or baseless, I find it useful because it is applied in stock trading and now on crypto trading too. Though its not accurate but it gives you an idea of market scenario.
Agree, technical analysis has been proved so clear by many traders, it's not bullshit, if someone considers technical analysis to be ineffective and nonsense, they should rethink the method and the way they approach technical analysis, whether it went right or they were overly imagining technical analysis. Because some people think that technical analysis will give us a perfect decision but in fact not, it only gives us a certain picture of the market, and this image is just a script out of millions of scenarios, it's just a reference
313  Economy / Economics / Re: Taxless society idea on: October 13, 2019, 10:31:04 AM
Our economy would definitely die without taxes. Honestly, it's really a burden for most of us to pay taxes but we can't just eliminate it for our own good. Our taxes are allocated in a lot of departments which would benefit the economy and society. It's a burden yet a part of the circulation of the economic needs so we got no choice but to be responsible to do it as our duties. Everything must be put into balance, the taxes, the printing of money and the role of cryptocurrency.
A country can't survive without having this, Taxes are the life of the country it's need to pay your obligations so the government can act and perform things that's needed around their jurisdictions. Implemented taxes is design to returned the favor to the citizens by providing the needs of the entire communities. Without collecting this obligations we also will not see any improvements from the society.
I strongly agree that taxes is very important in a country because it is a contribution of every citizen in their country. The reason why we pay taxes to our government because it provides the needs of every citizen in their country which they can also use it to build establishments like public schools, hospitals, highways, centers and many more, that is why without paying taxes it will be difficult for us to build such establishment and improve a certain country. People just don't want to pay taxes due to corruption that they don't trust their government that they will use it for good.
Some people always think that the government will be corrupt, the money we pay taxes will be in vain, it only serves some individuals in the government apparatus, this thinking is not wrong when the corruption in the government is always exposed in the news every year. However, we should not just look at such a bad side, we need to look at the positives of the tax payment process, facilities, equipment, everything around us are upgraded, evils and robberies will decrease with a high educational level, no taxes, no one is responsible for these issues
314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sold my house for buying altcoins need your help on: October 13, 2019, 10:06:33 AM
this is my current investments. do u have any suggestion

20k$ = BNB
20k$ = ADA
20k$ = EOS
20k$ = XEM
20k$ = NEO
10k$ = XRP

Your decision to invest in the token above is very good. But this is really crazy, you really sell physical assets (your home) into digital assets (cryptocurrency). Have you considered it very mature? Investing in cryptocurrency has a huge risk because here it has a very high level of fluctuation. If indeed you are lucky in choosing then you will get richer, but vice versa. I just want to add one suggestion to don't forget to buy Bitcoin and Ethereum. They are the main tokens compared to the others.

The proposals are really good but the risk seems to be over the level that an investor should do, you may also feel it's a crazy idea, and to be honest, you continue to offer suggestions to him more ideas are not a wise choice, we should let him make a decision, calculate the next path, should not allow our random moments to harm his thinking. He had original ideas and suggestions, he should continue to analyze and find more plans, if he really doesn't know about the issues I mentioned, the chances of him getting rich through crypto investment will be very difficult in the future.
315  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin holding will be worth this year or in the long run? on: October 13, 2019, 09:51:17 AM
It is always risky to put your money in volatile currency like Bitcoin. It may increase your capital to many folds in a few months and the same time it can decrease your capital many folds. Think about the people who bought Bitcoin at $19K and even after 1.5 years they are at less than 50% of their capital.
I am not against investment in Bitcoin but people should always calculate the risk before investment. In my opinion investment in Bitcoin will be fruitful in coming years. If someone invests amount for 4-5 or more years, he/she may get good return.
Agree, this is a fact that people should pay attention to before holding bitcoin because the volatility of bitcoin is always a very important point, it is the key to deciding whether we will profit or lose in the process we hold this year or long term, many people have had great profits in the past but many are also regretting when they hold it for so long. Risk is not measurable exactly, according to my personal feelings, smart holding and in the short term will be better, the longer the time, the more dangerous the market
316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If You Win Big Will You Remember Your Losses on: October 12, 2019, 12:00:43 PM
Come think of it, I've won a couple of bucks in gambling before but the only thing that I can remember is the happiness I felt when I won and it made me think that there's hope in gambling but I didn't really think about my previous losses. What I was only thinking that day is what am I going to do with my winning should I gamble it again or save some of it. So I guess whenever a gambler wins regardless if how much he had lost already in the process he/she will not remember the losses once they have won big.
I think the common emotion of people is often as you say, when they achieve a certain victory from gambling, happy feelings then some expectations, the next question is whether to stop or continue to bet on their luck, no one wants to think about past failures when their happy emotions are welling up. Remembering the losses in gambling may only occur when we baked all the money into gambling and remembered the money we lost, it's so huge and we really regret this wrong path
317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will BNB reach $50 This Year? on: October 12, 2019, 11:39:21 AM
Well this would really depends on how high BTC go
Look at the past few month where BNB hit $40 at peak

Binance is the most use exchange there
Thus, when people start to FOMO buying every crypto, binance will get to generate more revenue and profit which also increase the demand of BNB (Can be used as Fee, or joining the IEOS and etc)
But the key factor you say is having a lot of problems when bitcoin has been flying for a long time in recent months, at present, the value has dropped quite a lot and we still can't see the bottom where it will go down, such adverse conditions will affect the rise of binance coin. Besides, after strong price increases through new events and features, binance has almost no new plans, IEO is no longer a strong point of this exchange when profits have diminished, it is very difficult to find a good condition to help binance coin achieve the expected price
318  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to control your emotions while trading?👨🏼‍💻 on: October 12, 2019, 11:23:15 AM
I think emotional challenge is the biggest problem for most of traders, especially newbies. Fortunately, I managed to control them. I just accepted the fact that I can't always make profit, it doesn't work like this. And of course I never risk those amount of savings that are crucially important for my life right now. I always knew that I can afford it to loose, so it reduced my emotions.
Well, disturbed emotions during trading are always a problem for most traders and the origin of this disease comes from the fact that we have succumbed to the pressure and did not accept everything that was not in our prediction, newbie is the one who often gets involved in this problem as you say, the crypto market is still too new and not like their thoughts. Each person will have different handling methods, with you you will relax and accept, my method is more binding when I set limits on profits and losses, the plan won't be changed by my feelings
319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Libra the new crypto king on: October 11, 2019, 01:09:58 PM
The fuck is this shit?
Another altcoin that is being hyped too much and later on will try to exit as a failed project.  Cheesy

Anyway, crypto king belongs only to bitcoin so stop the hype with Libra because Zuckerberg will not become the Cryptoking as well, since he's reputation is not that good anymore. I support the mass adoption especially with Facebook but not to the extent of taking the place of bitcoin, that's not gonna happen and investors will not let any centralized coin to beat bitcoin, never.
Yes, I agree.  so many people glorify libra, that they forget the king of crypto himself is bitcoin.  without bitcoin there is no other altcoin.  it's true, libra will be great later because it has a name from facebook, which includes facebook is social media that already has a very big name on the internet.  as long as I haven't released libra I still think of it as normal altcoin in general.  we'll see what libra can do when released on the market
Well, libra still doesn't have an emphasis on the official launch date and even things are only in a development plan of facebook, although facebook can be a strong corporation and is a great advantage for libra but people are flattering too much about libra, they should understand that this product is only in its original form, the extent of libra's impact on the crypto market is untested. And bitcoin is still here, an alien like libra wants to take over bitcoin's position, it's probably a fact that many crypto users cannot accept.
320  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin is not that good as currency? on: October 11, 2019, 12:54:24 PM
It is I think because of the market value stability, bitcoin does not have a stable value that's why I think the reason why it is not easy to accept others just like our current currencies. Although we all know here in the forum that bitcoin is really good especially when time goes by so that the price will improve, let's also accept the fact that bitcoin has also its disadvantage.
The value that always fluctuates so dramatically and suddenly is really a drawback of bitcoin when bitcoin wants to be accepted as a currency, many dealers have thought about the idea of accepting bitcoin for payment but unfortunately, the application is not simple when the movement range of bitcoin is too wide. Besides, the popularity is still only relatively and the tax regulations in bitcoin are very unclear, using as a currency only creates more problems in the management and payment system.
