I have never heard of anyone that made an investment in Bitcoin and it turned to a sham. I think you must be mistaking Bitcoin for another coin probably you generalising the term Crypto currency. Probably the OP invested at the wrong time (all time high) and since Bitcoin has suffered some corrections, he could be at a lost which brought about the whole sham statement. If that's the case OP then you just have to hodl unto your investment as there's one certainty about Bitcoin, returning back to its previous all time high and surpassing it, is a constant reoccurrence in every bull cycle. Op you should learn from your mistakes and don't be in a hasty for something you're yet to understand. The mistakes you made are quite similar to what other newbies make when kicking off their journey in the industry so don't beat up yourself as the mistakes has already been done. Firstly I would like to second majority of the advice you have received above. Get yourself educated first then you can make better choices. Jumping right into investing is one of the biggest mistakes newbies make that cost them opportunity of profiting more in the future. When you're enlightened you won't let your emotions gets the worst of you, you'll be able to make better decisions as you know the advantage and disadvantage of whatever choice you intend making. Secondly, don't put all your savings into bitcoin, keep some for emergencies Incase there was to be any situation that needs funds, you won't be tempted to touch your investments. Dollar cost average your investment and put a specific amount monthly until you have been able to save/invest alot to satisfy you. Don't rush the process, first you learn before you earn. Exactly. Chelsea can be the most comfortable team in the league now. Because they don't have anything to worry about now.  It seems too hard for them to be out of top four now. And there is no way they are winning the Premier League title too. In this situation, they would just target the Champions League title for sure. It will be nice to tell people about bitcoin, but not to force/pressure them to invest , because if investing goes wrong sometimes it is funny to see the reactions of people when money is loss, the loss of money is a case that has ended many good friendship and misunderstanding between family members.
Why would you even force anyone to invest in Bitcoin when you should know of its volatility as a participant in the market yourself. The only good you can do for them is telling them about the industry and it's left for them to take the final decision. In the future they won't be having the excuse of not hearing about the currency when it becomes more established/adopted. For those thinking timing isn't a necessity for having a successful trade they should have a rethink. You don't go trading when the news is out there of some negative directives been issued towards the industry. You can only end up losing as the market will be moving in an opposite direction to your calls
this situation only favours you when you're probably shorting then will the market move to your calls.
As a trader you must not follow all the guidelines given by the OP and by others on thread as you have to look for what best works in your favor and those suggestions mightn't. Trading is about developing a strategy that suits you and trade consistently until your perfect those strategy and become a professional yourself. Big congratulations to the winners of this year's competition, perfection doesn't happen in a day. With time I believe similar competition will be less controversial and have more participation from forum members. I was surprised similar controversy araise again this year but hopefully the next won't have them again, we should learn from mistakes. I was in the forefront of the previous controversy and wasn't proud of the assumptions it lead to as they were never the intention, stayed away from repeating similar mistakes and this year atleast we can boldly say the winners do deserve the awards due to their contributions to the continuity of the forum.
