3001  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Pi Network, Could it be a new coin? on: August 30, 2021, 10:00:33 AM
Don't be fooled by fake promises , this project is a liar since the beginning as they are claiming to be the First mineable cryptocurrency while there are already many coins who is mineable from the start but all end of dying project if not scamming.
so please be aware of this or else you will end up losing your time and effort for nothing.
stay away from this coin and instead use your time in other bounties that may generate you real income if not that consuming.
in our local section this has been advertised 2 years ago but gain nothing but attact from knowledgeable members who knows that this has no future at all.

And as far as I know, they are requiring you to complete the KYC for those who will use the app.
Curious what they are doing now with all those info that they gathered who willingly submitted their vital docs.
This article below provided the details on how KYC is done for this Pi network.

https://www.cozycrypto.com/pi-network-kyc-verification/

And with those million of users who downloaded the app and keep on mining, the big question is, will they ever hit the exchange?
Or this is just a lost cause for those who are diligently mining this coin and still hoping that one day, it will finally hit the market.
3002  Other / Off-topic / Re: The WBA is reducing the number of tittle holders. on: August 30, 2021, 04:25:18 AM

Other organizations should follow, there are so many boxing organizations now compared to 40 years ago, there are so many champions and worse these so-called champions are not fighting each other to have undisputed champions take the case of Crawford and Spence, their respective promoters are making hard for the boxing community for them to collide, they don't want their cash cow to stop bringing them money, they all should be like Manny Pacquiao who never ducks any opponent.

This is the sad reality in boxing, the promoters have big influence on who's gonna fight who.
They always want to have the advantage and if possible not lose the 0 figure of their boxer.
And this is why Pacquiao is liked by many boxing fans, he never ducks and he always wants to fight the best.
In addition to that, he fights toe-to-toe not running away from his opponent.
With so many champions coming from WBA, WBO, IBF and WBC, we don't know who's the real champion anymore.

3004  Economy / Gambling / Re: New Crash Gambling Website! betbitcoin247.io on: August 29, 2021, 11:28:37 PM
At least you have two accounts on this forum, creating the same thread betbitcoin247.io gambling site.
Maybe you are right that they both are alt of this OP but they both shared betbitcoin247.com while this OP has shared url with dot(io). Not sure if they are same people. Not trying to defend OP of course.

High possibility they are the same person. Similar domain, same type of game, same "fake" license (with the same number but different expiration date). The first site (with dot com) is no more accessible, I guess they decided to shut it down after some people exposed the fake license. Now they are coming back with new domain (dot io) but keep the old mistake unfortunately.
Great spot! If they are working with the same team and same scheme, we should not put any money here. OP have to explain this one so they can at least clear they name and clear the connection of these two accounts, new gambling site are always welcome here but they should not offer a poor service and a scam project, they'll be expose because many gamblers here are really doing the search.

Only naive players will deposit on this site without doing any quick search.
The OP has not gotten back nor replied any concern here.
So don't think this site is going somewhere else.
Creating another account to offer the same site, just using a different domain, is signifying a different motive here.
3005  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lopez vs Kambosos - Aug 14 on: August 29, 2021, 10:27:42 PM

We will talk about a rematch after this fight as it's not certain yet on who will win although Lopez here is a heavy favorite. We know that upset happen in any sport, especially in the sports of boxing, so let's see how conditioned Lopez is after he got infected with covid-19.

This was reported last June 29 this year.
https://www.dazn.com/en-US/news/boxing/teofimo-lopez-still-very-sick-with-coronavirus/btw4n2raikzx1bqewbipzbo6i

It's a mild case I'm sure he'll be back to his old and dangerous form he has a great training camp and conditioning coach, I don't think his getting infected with Covid will have an impact at all on his performance in case he loses I hope he will not blame CoVid as the case, this is a fight between two boxers who are eager to engage and the fight could go either way.

No odds yet for this match. But yes I believe Lopez will be favored here by bookies.
I don't think it is right to blame covid if in case he will lose the fight.
Because if he feels that he is not healthy enough, why not arrange the fight in the first place?
If you are a true warrior, you will accept defeat if it is indeed a defeat no matter what the underlying reasons are.
3006  Economy / Economics / Re: Life Insurance and Blockchain on: August 29, 2021, 09:24:14 PM
I don't believe in what life insurance they promise and offer attractive benefits but when it comes to reality it's not, and I watched my aunt buy life insurance and she regretted it. , so I have a different view of buying such insurance.

Legit insurance company is registered and binded by the law. Maybe your Aunt avail the scam insurance or the insurance agent didn't explain to her the content of the policy. I have many client that already claim on insurance and I always remind them carefully the dos and don't and especially the coverage. I understand your aunt experience about insurance don't categorize them in general. Some pointers to get a perfect life insurance is too avail only to the company that running for a long time. A stablished insurance company will never try to trick there clients.

It depends on the insurance you avail of, usually, life insurance is to ensure that your family gets the insurance when you die, so as an insurer, you'll not enjoy it and you will not regret if in the first place you understand the insurance you sign up. As long as they are a legit company, you should not worry about anything as the authorities will be after them if they'll scam you.

Some insurance has investments plan included, i think that's a good one too, but you need to increase your premium as well.

Before you sign up or avail an insurance package, make sure you read their policy.
Because that's where the problem usually is, if you are not aware of the coverage and the limitations, you will really end up not getting the benefits you think you can avail of.
And yes, you should be very choosy what company you will get this package, much better if you can get it from established company with long years of operations.
There are several insurance-related blockchain projects that were introduced before, but I am guessing, they haven't gained success in the market.
But this will be good if an existing insurance company will integrate blockchain tech not a new company that will try to operate as insurance with blockchain integrated system.
I believe, the success can be attained if the insurance company is already existing as they just need to develop their system according to blockchain technology .
3007  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Cryptocurrencies on: August 29, 2021, 02:48:16 AM
Well, its not about the crypto that we use, regardless what currency it is the chances for us to win the game depends mostly on our luck followed by knowledge and skills.

I also tried to switch the currency that I use for gambling to TRX but not for the reason that maybe I can be lucky by choosing this crypto, but just for a change.

Anyway if you're continuosly losing in gambling then refrain for a while. Come back if you're already in good condition and has a positive thinking that you might be lucky by that particular moment, but of course its not an assurance.

Also, some are switching to other alts like TRX or DOGE, because it feels that you have a lot of money as compared to when it is in the form of BTC.
Like for example, if you have 100 TRX, it is about 0.000182 BTC, it seems so small when it is in BTC form.
But other than that, I am not seeing any advantage on switching crypto, as your chance is not getting any higher.
Also, some casinos can accept small amount like for example in TRX or XRP, but if you deposit in BTC or ETH, they have cetain min deposit.
3008  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥶 Winter Beijin 2022 🥶 Discussion and bet thread 🥶 Winter Game 🥶 on: August 28, 2021, 11:57:23 PM
Yess, finally! I'm much more fond of the Winter Olympics than Summer. I'm actually surprised that the Games will take place, considering that the pandemic still isn't over, and with delta spreading, who knows what will be in China in winter? But in any case, I'm really looking forward to it. My favorites are figure skating, freestyle skiing, cross-country skiing, and, of course, ski jumping.

I wonder who's going to nail it this year: the US, Norway, Germany, or maybe Russia?

Japan Olympics made it and so I believe this Winter Olympics can do better.
As the vaccination is really in full force in most countries, I think, by next year, we will be more contained with the spread of this virus. Hopefully.
But let us see how China will approach regarding spectators. Are they going to be more open or not?
3009  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | 8 Years of Dicing | 90 Billion Bets | 113 BTC Jackpot! on: August 28, 2021, 11:23:28 PM
There has been a focus on forcing users to complete the KYC in order to withdraw funds from stake.com and since both the sites are owned by the same person, does this mean PD will be asking for documents as well soon? I am only asking because if that's the case I may want to withdraw my coins that I have at PD right now.
Are they really forcing their user to do KYC verification? Where you found this information? Crypto casino asks for KYC verification if they find any specious activity in user account. The number of active user has increased significantly at Stake in this year. They are offering various promotions now. So it's normal that the number of abusers has also increased there. Probably Stake asking KYC to those abusers. Primedice/Stake won't ask for KYC verification if you aren't doing anything wrong.

Yeah, Stake is not forcing users to do KYC verification for withdrawal.
Seems he got misinformation or misunderstanding about the information related to KYC.
There are still many users deposit/withdrawal in Stake without KYC.
Indeed, Stake is offering extra bonuses for users who want to do KYC but the decision is on the users whether to do it or not.
KYC might be something "forced" in special cases only IMO.
yes it's true stake is giving additional bonuses for those who will process KYC, but they are not forcing anyone to complete the process
unless your account has some suspicious activities.

there are still gamblers who enjoyed playing without providing their true identities, gamblers who are not doing anything that may
attract suspicions.

Still, gamblers decide, so if stake have that, probably it will be the same with PD.

They may possibly apply the same bonus program with PD but I don't think they will require it as a compulsory one.
This is one of the oldest in crypto dice game, and honestly, I played on this site much earlier than I registered on this forum.
So I don't think they will be requiring their players to submit their KYC as this may really have an impact in terms of players who don't want to submit their docs.
3010  Economy / Gambling / Re: PLAY FORTUNA Casino [main topic] on: August 28, 2021, 10:42:41 PM
I don't think the notes mentioned in previous replies determine in anyway that this casino is bad or trustless. Having a withdraw time limit isn't a bad option even when it exeeds that limit. I didn't yet try the casino by myself, but  I found no negative reviews about the casino in the internet and nice to see it giving interest to bitcointalk community .
-
For a casino operating since more than eight years, i would consider this ANN thread as the poorest presentation ever for an already established project. Op should hire someone to manage this channel here .

I noticed that some thread starters here are really not into "fancy" presentation.
They really should check others' site and see how they do things.
But as long as they can address each and everyone's concern, that would be better.

-
I disagree with your assumption. The crypto gambling industry has been around for a long time now and there plenty of sites offering no KYC benefits to their customers despite government pressure.

Some sites will definitely succumb to regulations as time passes, but some won't based on what I observed over time.

There are still a lot of reputable casinos here that don't require KYC, which is actually great.
But some are strict now, as it is mandated by their gaming license.
Now, it is up to the gambler where he wants to play, as it is his own prerogative whether to play or not on a casino with KYC.
3011  Economy / Economics / Re: Cuba the next country to accept cryptocurrencies? on: August 27, 2021, 11:11:12 PM
Cubans who escaped cuba, have used crypto to send money to their families in cuba, for many years.

Quote
About 10,000 Cubans have turned to bitcoin and altcoins, including ethereum and dogecoin, to skirt around U.S. sanctions, according to a report from Deutsche Welle’s Spanish-language service, reported CryptoNews.

Cubans overseas use BitRemesas, a crypto exchange, to essentially transfer money to family in Cuba through a middleman, CryptoNews explained. They convert their fiat currency into cryptocurrency, which middlemen in Cuba then bid on and pay for in cash to the sellers’ family members in Cuba. The middleman gets a commission fee from the exchange, and BitRemesas takes a percentage as well.

https://www.businessfast.co.uk/bitcoin-daily-cubans-use-cryptocurrencies-for-remittances-in-wake-of-us-sanctions-swiss-national-bank-bis-test-cbdc-integration-pymnts-com/

Sending money to cuba via wire transfer can have (I think) 40% in taxes and fees. Cubans used bitcoin/crypto to circumvent high taxes and fees.

"Accept cryptocurrencies" means cuba's government wants to tax and collect significant portions of crypto payments entering the country.

They found out that a lot of their citizens are already using crypto services for years.
So they decide to regulate and authorize its existence, taxing them is given fact already.

https://www.euronews.com/next/2021/08/27/cuba-becomes-the-latest-country-to-authorise-and-regulate-cryptocurrencies-like-bitcoin

So I am assuming, previously, they are converting their crypto mostly via p2p exchange?
3012  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gas Fee Of BNB Is Increasing on: August 27, 2021, 10:13:41 PM
Gradually I think BNB wants to follow in the footsteps of ETH, initially cheap to lure users into adopting BNB with the lure of low costs. After that we all saw that BNB was increasing the fees little by little. Then where else do we as small traders have to run to avoid high GAS costs?
What other network would be friends with people like me who only send 5 to 10 bucks.

There will always be another network that will offer cheaper fees just like what mentioned above.
But I do believe, that BSC fees will gradually increase their fees in the coming years.
That's part of their business but maybe, they will make it at least relatively cheaper than competitors like ETH.
But expect such situation will happen also to this network. That's part of the game in this industry.
3013  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whats your thoughts on polygon ? on: August 26, 2021, 11:57:05 PM
They have promising future but it is really up to their development team how far they want to go in this market.
People will just follow their progress and if they can keep up and sustain their development, then, we will see if they can truly attract more projets.
If binance will integrate their network, then, it means binance is seeing a bright future for this network.
And once it happens, it may really boost its popularity and expect more projects to be developed under their wings.
3014  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🔥NEW game CRYPTOS release 🔥 |⚡️Free BTC+BNB| 📈HotBit listing on: August 26, 2021, 11:29:02 PM

While I think some good FOMO can push any coin to any hights (Doge or safemoon anyone?Wink), the good basis of dividend payments for BFG seems to also keep the price in check. It looks like the APR 'needs' to be around 100%. If we want to see a big increase in the BFG price, we'll have to see some significant increase in the staking payouts I think.

Unless they can keep offering other incentives like the farm, but I doubt that. (although a lottery would be nice Wink )
Additional progress that will attract more investors will bring the price up. For now, the dividends rewards and the house are the factors within this project. The team needs to bring more and keeps on innovating this project. Lots of competitions and lots of a new project that keep popping from time to time.

It's really important to keep being competitive and bring new updates that will attract other investors to support this asset.
Apart from Biswap, Hotbit BFG should be listed on major exchanges DEX or CEX. BetFury token burn mechanism will cross the circulating supply. BetFury participants can join progressive lock, farming, staking etc. I know BetFury team is already working on this possibility, but the team devote more attention on marketing really important in which through the casino become to attractive that users enjoy all the things without leaving the platform.

I believe, aside their regular promotions (their weekly, bi-weekly) that are already in place, they can always come up with a new one.
From time to time, they need to offer something different to keep up the interest of players.
These farming, staking would be very productive if their token itself is growing in value.
And that is, collecting active players as much as they can. The competition is getting tough as there are new casinos created everyday.
3015  Economy / Gambling / Re: New Crash Gambling Website! betbitcoin247.io on: August 26, 2021, 10:36:04 PM
What exactly do you offer that bustabit and other crash sites don't already?

You need to offer something that differentiates you from the rest of the crowd. Others have come up with genuinely interesting game ideas like crash duels, but all I see here imo is just a plain old crash script.

That's not something that is inherently bad, don't get me wrong. But it is certainly something that can be worked on to attract future players.

First, they need to replace their gaming certificate as it was already expired.
Second, I don't know how they can claim that they are one of the largest betting community around the world, that they are just starting here?
Third, I do agree that they need to offer something different to deviate their crash site from the popular ones.
They are still fresh here, so maybe, let's give them a break and let us see how they can evolve their crash site into something of interest.
3016  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador rolls out 200 Bitcoin ATMs in a bid to speed-up nationwide adoption on: August 25, 2021, 11:56:15 PM
I admire the determination of President Bukele. Some people opposed to his government classify him as an autocratic leader.
In the nation of El Salvador, as in all countries, there are opposition groups, which is why we notice that Bukele speaks to both groups, those who support the Bitcoin law and those who do not.
I am looking forward to September 7th and to see how Salvadorans embrace bitcoin. My eyes are fixed to see how the Chivo wallet works for Salvadorans.
As they become successful with bitcoin, more nations will follow in their footsteps.
Exactly. This might be the first state to adopt bitcoin as a legal tender so whatever the result on it will create an impact to its neighboring countries. But i think the citizens are optimistic about it and once it works, hopefully other countries will follow the same path too. Leaders i think should always be responsible in leading his countrymen into adopting a new innovation that will create a big change in their lives.

However, since not all people are supporting this bitcoin adoption, because others might stick to its traditional system, so President Bukele has to cater to these different groups. But since bitcoin adoption could change the flow of country's economy, then it should be given more emphasis than using fiat which only causes high inflation and no transparency at all.

If neighboring countries will see positive impact on their economy, they may follow the path of El Salvador.
If the crypto services are readily available, some people will try out of curiosity.
And when they found out about its advantages, then, they may turn to crypto user and endorse it to their family, colleagues and friends.
People are hesitant to try new technology especially if they have no knowledge about it.
But if it is already in front of them, this may encourage them to try and see what's in store for them.
3017  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley on: August 25, 2021, 10:34:57 PM
I’m not even sure who I think will win. I feel like Jake Paul might lose this one, even though Dana White was pretty clear that Woolley is past his prime and unable to win in the fighting sport he’s a professional in. I don’t think Jake has ever faced such an opponent and I think he’ll be surprised how tough he is. Still, I’d love to see him win so the shit show can continue.

Tyron Woodley was once a champion in UFC but their training is very different compare to boxing which Paul did time. Paul bringing UFC fighters in the field where he is more experienced is strategic that is why he is confident in beating UFC fighters. It could be an easy win for Paul because Tyron is an aging fighter, it's probably the reason why he even agreed to fight because there is nothing to lose for him. He is out in UFC after successive losses.

For the sake of watching this fight, I am placing my bet on Jake Paul here.  Grin
Since I am not familiar with some of the upcoming fights, and this one rings a bell because of Jake Paul, I decided to put money on him.
We all know that this is just an exhibition fight, so don't expect much action to happen here.
But seems that Tyron will not give an easy fight for Paul.

In the last fight of his brother against Floyd, this article says Floyd will make an estimate of $50-$100 million in his fight against Logan Paul.
https://www.sportscasting.com/floyd-mayweather-reveals-how-much-he-will-make-fighting-logan-paul/

Now, if that figure is real, then maybe Jake Paul being the superstar would probably get at least 50% of what Floyd made.
There's no figure at the moment but we can estimate how much he is making and that's the reason why he will stay.

Fun fact, Manny Pacquioa being the legend in the sports of boxing is only guaranteed a $5 million purse in his fight against Ugas.

This reality is really unfair to professional boxers.
These exhibition fighters are earning more than those undercard professional boxers.
Maybe, time to pause these exhibition matches and give the arena to these deserving boxers.
3018  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] PLASTIC FINANCE - IS A PLATFORM THAT ENABLES EFFICIENTS WASTE MANAGEMENT on: August 24, 2021, 11:59:40 PM
Found out that the PLAS token has more than 12,5K holders, looks quite a lot of people participated in the previous sale. It can also have the assumption that the community is also growing, not only the project.
The presale https://app.dodoex.io/cp/join/0xb415ebcd4ae7f95b34fad975f85ef533639fb206?network=bsc-mainnet have found a few buyers, but is that 60K BUSD is the hardcap?

Seems that 60k BUSD is the hard cap. But so far, they have achieved 0.79% of it.
They need aggressive marketing here, or else, they may not even reach half of the target.
If they have actual business going on, marketing should be easy and they can bank with it.
Their mission is good but hopefully, they can continue this mission in long term basis.
We need this type of endeavor to address the climate change that the world is experiencing.
3019  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Future vs Spot Trading on: August 24, 2021, 11:28:38 PM
Futures is a gamble.
(....)
If futures is a gamble, the spot trading is a gamble too. The only difference is one is more risky than the other

OP look at it this way
1. Spot trading - Less risky but less rewarding too
2.  Futures trading - More risky and more rewarding if win right.

The question is are you willing to lose more money or even liquidate your account in case things don't work out in your favor? Because you must always look at the risk more than the reward.
There's a lot of difference between spot trading in futures trading.
It's very advisable that if you are a newbie in trading, it's much better first to try spot trading, or you can try futures trading, but in very small leverage, we all know how volatile crypto is so using high leverage for every trade is high risk.

Exploring the futures trading is very risky in my opinion especially if the OP is not ready to lose his funds.
Weigh your options. Even if you are not making much profit from spot trading, at least you are in the positive side.
However, in futures, it is more rewarding if you got it right, however, it can easily liquidate all your funds at once as well.
So if you are going into futures, maybe use money not loaned from anyone, use what you can comfortably lose.
There are pros and cons on both, but it is only you who can answer how prepared are you in going to futures market.
3020  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: August 24, 2021, 10:37:11 PM
Is there any news if this fight will push through?
Im thinking Casimero would be the next opponent of Inoue.
But its good to see if ever Inoue and Donaire will going to have a rematch.

Seems that Inoue vs. Casimero will happen much earlier than this match.
Because Casimero is making noise and it seems it caught the attention of Inoue.
As far as I know, Inoue and Donaire are friends outside the ring.
So in case, this Casimero fight will fetch more audience as they want to see what is really the caliber of Casimero over Inoue.
