2001  Economy / Gambling / Re: SEARCHING FOR OPINIONS ON A CRASH GAMBLING SITE IDEA on: May 23, 2022, 03:50:20 PM
You're thinking about it backwards. Getting investors is super easy, make the perceived reward greater than the perceived risk. That's really all investors care about.

Most people don't know this, but before bustabit was the giant it is now -- there was a time the max bet was like $30 USD. It's better to start small, build up an audience and then if you want to start supporting whales -- it will be extremely easy to find investors after you're proven yourself and the need for more money.

If you want to succeed, you should be instead laser focused on players. What can you offer that the other big reputable sites don't, so that people want to switch to you?

RHavar - I know this is a very subjective question, but as a ballpark figure, how much would a crash site of the same-or-more complexity of current leading sites such as bustabit cost to make? I understand that this is something I would have to bring up to whoever I am paying to make the site, and I have done this already but I want to know your estimation of how much it would cost just so I know whether I am being ripped off or not.
(Anyone else who sees this also feel free to give me an estimated figure if you could, it would be appreciated)

I don't think someone can estimate that for you, what are your priorities to set-up a site?
Domain, hosting, developing the site, depends on the developer that you will get here.
Better if you have dedicated developer here as his job is continuous, it is not just about setting-up your site.
And the price depends on your arrangement with the developer. This plus your initial bankroll.
Maybe you can find someone here to estimate the developer's cost, an actual dev or owner would be your good resources.
2002  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will LUNA's downfall scare away investors from the crypto market? on: May 22, 2022, 11:45:38 PM
Normally yes, at least it will give a warning for investors to be more careful in investing. Moreover worse by the media that make many new or old investors also panic and afraid of the situation.
Actually, LUNA is one of the top coins, but in fact, even if it is a top coin, it can drop significantly like shitcoin that is crashing very deep, until the price seems almost to be zero at that time Grin
However, glad that Luna still has a chance to rise up although it still cannot rise up significantly to turn to the previous price, it will be very difficult.
The crashed price ofLuna of course will teach us many things, moreover, investors to be careful and smart investing. Investing in altcoins will be always risky, that is why never be all in when we are investng. Diversifying our money into several top coins is good enough.
Moreoevr the most money is used for investing in Bitcoin, this is great enough.

It may create panic especially for newcomers in crypto.
But it won't stop them to invest in this market as there are other promising alts that they can see in this market.
And this will also give them lesson that even a seemingly solid project can crash in this market.
How many times have we seen a solid project crashed, and yet, there are still people who continuously support this market?
It goes to show that even if people are getting screwed by these crap projects, they still hope for the best for other coins.
2003  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The worst odds of winning... on: May 22, 2022, 11:19:05 PM
I’m really not surprised at his odds and I wouldn’t be surprised about any of the odds moving forward until he shows that he’s recovered enough from his recent car accident to be able to compete at the highest level. Tiger being good is always better for the sport so I do hope he recovers sooner than later and is able to become at least a little bit of his old self.

Bookies are considering whatever he had gone thru.
And it is not the same Tiger when he competes again.
They may change their odds if he shows improvement.
But we don't forget that once he was a legend in this sports, and still is.
The respect is still there but with all his injuries that he had to suffer, it will have an impact on his performance one way or another.
2004  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Legal Tender in Central African Republic on: May 22, 2022, 09:01:02 PM
Sadly, centralised forms of power tend to adopt every possible measure to self preserve, irrespective of the interest of other (legitimate) stakeholders.
Bitcoin should act like a relentless market force, used to overcome such limitations by attrition.
When you see the orange coin being enacted as legal tender with a Law, an act of the very same institution that has the most to lose from Bit pin itself, you should ask yourself in which interest such a decision has been taken.
I would guess that this was taken so that they could get some taxes and make some money, that seems like the most common possibility and why most other nations have made it legal tender as well and they are putting some bitcoin as reserve currency as well.

This means that CAR is actually doing something like getting as much bitcoin as possible, from taxes or from investments or reserve currency or whatever and with a ton of bitcoins in their treasury, they will end up with a lot of leverage in the future when bitcoin goes up, they could even get a loan from somewhere when they show the value of the bitcoin as a collateral and would make it better.

Definitely, when they decide to have this financial commitment towards BTC, they already laid out the positive impact that may do to their system.
They won't resort to this option if they are not seeing positive repercussion to their financial system.
Because they can always go back to where they are if this consideration is not showing any good to their economy.
So maybe couple of years from now, we will see what will be the influence of exploring in crypto to their economic status.
2005  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hard earned money - Busted in seconds on: May 22, 2022, 08:03:00 PM
Those pills exist but they can cause damage to us if taken without prescription from the doctor as why we are taking them.To limit some brain activity or brain reaction to different things or environments something else has to take the hit.I know a lot of persons, persons that got these pills for fighting anxiety or similar brain illness and trust me they are not normal ever again.Scientists are trying hard to provide effective medicine to these problems but so far they only have achieved a little in the brain sector as we don't even know how it operates right now, therefore it is wrong to take pills to stop the addiction.I think it is better to go to rehab houses which seem to work quite a bit for the people who are firmly convinced to quit something.
I had a bit of a problem back in the day, around 10 years ago and I couldn't travel. The maximum I can go is the place that I could walk, anywhere I couldn't walk became a bit of a trouble for me and I couldn't go anywhere. So, I went to a doctor and got some prescription drugs since they advised it and then I started to end up getting better and better because I followed whatever the doctors said.

This ended of course about a year or two later and now I am not taking any, it was temporary thing and it became a lot better. So, sometimes doctors do suggest those pills, it makes them a lot better if you are willing to follow what the doctor ordered.

Taking pills is fine as long as there is doctor's prescription.
Because if you are just self-prescribing, you have no idea what will be the after effect on yourself.
The doctors are here for a reason, and they know better how to contain your situation.
My take on pills is just this is a temporary solution for what you are experiencing.
But the long term is not to be drug-dependent. But you need to follow the doctor's advise to get out of meds.
2006  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins that have most chances to come out strong after bear market finished on: May 21, 2022, 11:55:11 PM
Most of these coin I assume gonna be having the same potential since they are already so undervalued anyway. regardless I think if it's from your list, definitely solana since its popularity has been growing and its community is also already huge, I think quite some projects also switching over from terra luna to solana, and also the NFT market of solana has been growing significantly.
Other than that it's the apecoin, for the simple fact that it hasn't finished its bullish cycle and already got hit hard by the current bearish, maybe the next bullrun it's gonna achieve new ATH again but of course it's just my 2 cents.

We need to look for the foundation of these alts, but SOL, MATIC, I believe has good chance.
They have good use case and some projects are already utilizing it.
Several exchanges are already integrating these networks so it means, there's demand that they are seeing here.
So after this bear market, I believe, they can improve their value and they are not the usual short-lived projects.
2007  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling Brand Name Vs Site Functionality? Or Both? on: May 21, 2022, 10:30:11 PM
~snip~
For example, if I created a casino today and named it SuzBet Casino. Gamblers are ready to try it out once it hosts a signature campaign on the forum and the experience they had while using the casino will determine if they trust it or not.
Good design is just to make the casino look good.
^Definitely right, brand name is just nothing compared to the content or the functionality of the casino, the most trusted casinos are those very popular so I think promotions and the different contests will make their reputation increase. It is also in a gambling casino, it should be are licensed gambling casinos, it should also have provable fairness on their game and most especially they will use the most trusted game provider. That is how we trust a gambling casino, not just a brand name.
It is indeed not that a priority i would say if we do talk about site name because majority of people would really be going after for functionality or the experience that they could really able to engage.

People arent really that blind nor dumb on not to notice everything and  once they do have able to experience something whether it meets their expectation or had failed to do so then

it would be neither on finding another one or would really be sticking depending on their own preference base up on experience.

A catchy name has just temporary effect but the long lasting one is the site functionality.
Maybe you can attract new players with your name, but later on, they will look for much better services.
The player will only stay on a casino if he is satisfied with the overall services that he is getting.
Because that name doesn't matter when you are aiming for loyal patrons of your site.
2008  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] George Kambosos vs Devin Haney - Undisputed Lightweight Title - June 5 on: May 21, 2022, 09:09:01 PM
But most of the biases goes to the superstars, or the home fighters or promoters fighters.
Both fighters are superstars, it's a unification fight so I think the advantage here is the fighter who are at home, and since Haney is more of a technical fighter, it will be hard for him to convince the judges to give him the win if he cannot fully dominate the fight, so the best way is just to knock out Kambasos and surely the result will be fair enough.

The only advantage of Kambosos is the venue of the fight which is located on his country, Australia, and which gives him some morale and boost of confidence if ever he needed one and nothing more. Let's just hope that this will be a good clean fight because the said country is also known to cook some fights like the famous Pacquiao-Horn fight. Nevertheless, a lot of people really expected a fair fight as this is a unification fight.

Maybe you are right, but Kambasos has the power to hurt Haney as he surprised us already during his fight with Lopez. Haney is maybe a more technical fighter but no fighter would survive in the ring if he is hit by a solid punch coming from a heavy hitter fighter. The odds say that Haney is the favorite, but it's different when they are already in the ring, and since Kambasos is fighting in his home country, that makes him more motivated to win.

We have seen a lot of upsets in boxing, so no surprise if this one will turn out to be one.
A home advantage is seen also to be one of the factors that may contribute for Kambosos win.
But we want to see a clear and honest fight of course. We don't want to see boxing fans doubting the judges' decision.
As much as possible a KO will give us assurance that the fight is not rigged or any of that sort.
2009  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoins and Influential Social Networks on: May 20, 2022, 11:55:07 PM
Now we need influencers who can convince investors to buy again so as to make the price of bitcoin rise again or not drop below $ 30k, the current Bitcoin price is very worrying because it is in the range of $ 30k, if there is no concrete action from influencers then the market will continue red.

Your taking it little wrong way mate. Social media isn’t helping with that for sure. All the influencers out there have limited out reach and not everyone is connected with like minded people! That’s fact obstacle one and second is most important, social media is fake shit and only delivers negative stuff about crypto most of the time to attract audience get benefited through advertising partners.

Crypto currency’s do not require such action. It’s entirely based on willingness, anyone can hop in and go out. It’s free will not influencing based deal.

Social media influencers may one way or another influence someone, but it will only be short-lived.
Because once the user starts educating himself, he will understand more of this market.
And won't rely with deceiving promotional tweets or something.
Just like old crypto users, they know what's the truth whenever a popular personality is saying something about crypto.
2010  Economy / Gambling / Re: The most rewarding referral system on: May 20, 2022, 11:20:06 PM
i believe referring shouldn't be a thing of much concern to gamblers because no one really want to waste time referring people to a particular casino, this is the believe and mindset of an average gambler who is not after bonus or referrals bonus and i dont think it is as well expected of those casinos to mandated referring on its users, and for those hunting after bounty referral bonus i think such will be ok, but before any further procedures of placing bet, it is vital to read the privacy policy especially for those that doesn't welcome referring system.
That's your belief.

But in reality, there are gamblers that also take part in the referral system because it's a passive income. Before, I've seen the activeness of most referral system and many are liking to be under by someone popular or by someone who has helped them through their articles and written tutorials.

It's not a waste of time but if someone also works on it, he's aware that it's quite rewarding when he's getting the active players under him.

There are indeed players who can get good income just by referral links.
Those are usually individuals who have good following in their social media, and who have friends that are into gambling also.
Also, just look at the gambling review sites, the owners are also after for the referral commission that they can get via promoting their site.
But it all boils down to the reputation of the casino itself. You should not consider the referral feature but the overall reliability of the casino.
2011  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can a new sportsbook gain trust? on: May 20, 2022, 10:34:29 PM
So I’m looking for thoughts on how to gain trust and reputation, because I know I would have doubts depositing money into a brand new sportsbook that’s just appeared out of thin air.
If it is a new sportsbook, it will be quite hard to gain the trust and reputation. It needs a time, commonly after running the sportsbooks for several months, more users using the platforms and also giving the best services for them, including the live supports. The most interesting thing is that the sportsbook should keep all promises and service well.

However, at first, if the sportsbook wants to gain the trust and reputation faster, they can do some promotions and cooperation with popular parties. Like here in this forum, commonly the new sportsbook that run a signature campaign will have or get more trust moreover if they use the popular and reputable Bounty Manager. However although it is so, hey must also offer their best services and never lose trust from the users.

If the team has no budget for promotion like signature campaign, they can always earn their reputation by responding to their players in prompt manner.
However, this indeed take time because if you are a new casino, people will always be hesitant to deposit their money.
This is why some new casinos will offer like free bet, or faucet or other activities that will attract bettors to check out their site.
If the casino will maintain their image to have no existing problems, I believe, in time, bettors will have confidence on depositing them.
2012  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reason why I put all my money in Bitcoin as a newbie on: May 19, 2022, 11:36:16 PM
Am still new in this space both in cryptocurrency and in this forum and seeing what is happening even to stable coins lately make me decide to put all my investment funds into Bitcoin since Bitcoin has never crashed or a billion coins getting minted out of no we're and dump into the market just like Luna tereUSTD did, so for your peace of mind I advise newbies to rely only on highly decentralized crypto Bitcoin. Until you learn enough to decide which risk to take and which not to.
That's your choice as you have the money to invest and get lose or gain in the end. But you should also know that investing all your funds into a single investment means a lot of risks and there's no way you can have them back once you lose them all. If i have to invest, i will still invest in bitcoin because i know its high potentials, but never will i decide to put all my money in a single basket as i may lose them all in the future.

As I understand the OP, if you are a beginner, better invest in BTC first.
And then, once you get acquainted in this market, that's when you can take the risk of other projects.
So maybe at the beginning, he's all in with BTC but later on, he will explore his chances with other alts.
Certainly, it is always advisable to diversify your portfolio, as the saying goes, never put all your eggs in one basket.
2013  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's all about HODLing on: May 19, 2022, 11:01:29 PM
In this very volatile market hodling is the most effective way to maximize your profit in the right time. The ones who mastered this art of hodling will get the best reward they could get in the right time because this is how the market works. Investing is not just enough in this market someone should have a strategy to maximize their profit in the future this applies to traders too.

The market is very risky if you don't know what you are doing so it's better to have some knowledge first like hodling is one of the strategy you could use if in risk.

Holding is only true for valuable coins like BTC.
But when it comes to new alts or tokens, it is best to get rid of them while they are still available in the trading market.
So when you decide to hold a specific coin, make sure you have done your own assessments.
Are they going to survive in this market? Is the team in continuous progress with their developments?
Just few questions to keep in mind while preciously holding your coins.
2014  Economy / Gambling / Re: How do you advertise your casino? on: May 18, 2022, 11:53:16 PM
So many ways you can do that, you can start a signature campaign on this forum and try to make your presence known by doing some giveaways also to attract new players to your site.
One thing is common. The more you work hard - the more your business flourish.
I know a small business which is not a gambling business. But a small business out of reach of common people. But they are so good that they only want a few people to visit and they want to maintain their standards at any cost. And they are flourishing.

It depends on the target customers of the business itself.
Like for example, what you said, that business is targeting few people, but maybe they are quality customers.
And they are paying good price to be their valuable customers.
However, in gambling, as much as possible you would want to attract small or big rollers at the same time.
This will give you sustenance of the business, otherwise, you would find hard surviving.
2015  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kwik Trip To Install 800 New Bitcoin ATM on: May 18, 2022, 10:42:20 PM
11% fee?
Isn't that a bit too much ?
Its not that is a bit too much, it is way too much. I quit using BATM when the one in my town increased the fee from 4.5 to 6%, so for me 11% fee is unacceptable really, especially at this day and age when you have so many different ways to buy/sell bitcoin.

BATMs are not cheap
Keeping the back end servers up an running has a cost
Hiring people to put in / take out the money has a cost
Since they are still somewhat new customer service people have a cost
And, don't forget PROFIT.....
I do get that running BATMs ain't cheat at all ( I had a lengthy conversation about that with my local operator) but 11% is really pushing it. Unless taxes for running BATM are much higher in the United States compared to Europe, but I always though that your taxes are generally much lower than here.

Some crypto users will try to use these btc ATMs but in the succeeding transactions, they won't use it anymore.
Once they feel the charges are bit too much and they know better options like online transactions, they won't go back to these ATMs.
But they can say, they have tried. I haven't tried an actual BTC ATM as it is not present in my immediate area.
However, if I do have the chance, I will try, just for the sake of experiencing a BTC ATM.
But more than likely, I will still go back to cheaper and more convenient options. Because nowadays, online access is pretty much everywhere.
2016  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: could TERRA LUNA go back to $1 dollar? on: May 17, 2022, 11:13:16 PM
Impossible to happen with terra luna. Inflation was so crazy and holders are complaining about this. With the current value of luna and how many billions of money needed to pump it back again tot he $1 rate. The wall become even bigger once you are pumping the price of luna to go up and the developers have no money for this caused by they are bankrupt. Doing the fork was the way for them as this doesn't require billions money to pump luna again

What I am curious about this project is, are luna developers really bankrupt?
Or they are hiding their wealth in other means, like the money they got from selling their bitcoin?
I don't think the devs are the ones who suffered most in this catastrophe, but it should be the holders who didn't know that this is coming to this project.
I don't want to think badly to the Luna team, but I have the feeling that they know this is about to happen, so they already took care of their pockets before this happened.
2017  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you knew the founder of Bitcoin, would you still use it? on: May 17, 2022, 09:49:02 PM
Regardless of who founded BItcoin, although this might be a group I believe that is we would still use it, let take for instant, right now we are made to believe that the founder and originator of bitcoin is an unknown man names which are satoshi nakamoto, although many of us don’t even know who this satoshi nakamoto is we have already believed in what he has created and it has really proven to be more than amazing, I believe if this originator which we were meant to believe wasn’t true then we would still be using Bitcoin
I guess it does not matter of who founded bitcoin, what matters the most is the real use of bitcoin in our daily lives. It can be a great asset and a good currency in the future, so what more can i ask for? And besides, if Satoshi or let's say a group founded bitcoin, if they really want to sell their bitcoins and causes financial catastrophe, then they had made it already when bitcoin was still at its very high peak.

I guess by now, most of us don't care who was the creator of bitcoin.
Because what has been achieved in this market is already more than enough to be grateful about this creation.
If Satoshi preferred to be anonymous, let's respect his privacy.
And if he does really want to ruin his creation, he should have done this a long time ago.
2018  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: High Rollers on: May 17, 2022, 09:16:33 PM
I didn't know there were so many millionaires in the world. Most of them are wiser with their money than to gamble the capital through it.
That's the reality, there are too many millionaires yet there are also too many poor people that barely eats thrice a day.

You often do not become a millionaire by gambling at a casino or other gambling sites. Then you should make a big hit, but in the long run we all play on and the whole capital goes through it.
Those that have became millionaires traditionally are due to their grit and hardwork with real life investments and businesses. But, there are those gamblers that have became wealthy because of what they do, the actual gambling.

We don't know where those high rollers are getting their funds but that's none of our business.
But if you will really find time to observe in some games or sports betting, you can really see bettors spending thousands of dollars in one bet.
And when it comes to gambling, you very well know you have no assurance if you will win or not.
So more than likely, they can afford to lose such amount of money without worrying about their losses.
The good thing about crypto gambling is they can play anonymously along with other players, but more than likely they undergo kyc under the casino itself.
2019  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your epic fail experience in gambling on: May 16, 2022, 09:59:03 PM
My worst nightmare was losing $20k in a day, there was no single bonus in 6k spins on Pragmatic slots. Increasing bet size on each 1000 spins level was not a good idea and I was faced with the harsh reality of gambling after that day, never ever going to chase the losses. I can feel your pain since we have experienced such swings on daily loss streaks, sticking to same bet size and not chasing loss are main points to protect bankroll that can be used another day to play. Epic fails usually happens due to negative house edge, we have to find the zero house edge casino for not going into deep.
Man, that's a huge money that I can't probably reach to use in gambling since I'm the type that won't allow such to happen. There are really people that have more painful experience than the others.
Losing that much in a day was totally a big frustration for sure and there are people that have lost more than yours and still, they're trying to chase those losses that they've made.
Epic fail experience of mine is also the same as everyone's experience of losing money that have won within a week.

I have seen large amounts of bets in one of the known casinos here, and they were wiped out fast.
I was wondering what was the feeling of that gambler, seeing his amount of money just gone in seconds?
But maybe the experience is different for most of us, for example a small roller vs high roller.
Like for example, for us, losing $20k is already too much. But for some, that's just change for them and they can bet it one time.
But as I can say I am a responsible gambler, I don't go to the extent of losing large amount of money in gambling.
So I can't say much about epic fail experience. I lost some but for me, it was not significant because I knew my limitations.
2020  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 44 countries will meet in El Salvador to discuss Bitcoin on: May 16, 2022, 09:43:58 PM
Must be talking about politics.

When a  country's dollar reserve are taken by force, other central banks are going to be thinking it could also happen to their reserves. 44 Banks from all over the world gather around, they must be doing something excluding others. Maybe they are arranging a network like an alternative to SWIFT which they could also escape sanctions.

That's a nice deduction from this upcoming event.  Grin
But of course, we really don't know their true motive why they unite to have this kind of event.
But if it is for the sake of crypto market in their respective countries, why not?
This development is very welcome to happen. Maybe, they are seeing that no matter what, crypto market will continue to proliferate.

The new Davos meetings /s
Reading those names, man, crème de la crème, I always say, better than nothing but seriously sometimes, it's a close call with this nothing.
Just some trivia, only three of those have a GDP per capita rank lower than 100, with Maldives managing to be the leading one with a rank of 65 in the world and with only 6 of them not in the UN food assistance program.

We can't disregard their possible impact to the crypto community even if we say most of them are in the third world category.
Who knows, they will be the countries which will drive crypto adoption to their constituents?
If nothing else, they can encourage some of their people to go into crypto if their Central Bank is positive towards crypto.
