3021  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it possible to do Arbitrage trading with USDT/BTC? on: July 23, 2018, 02:53:02 PM
you can do arbitrage trading with any coin! it doesn't have to be USD or any variants of stable coins. for example you can do it with LTC. if you find a big enough difference between the price of it in two BTC/LTC markets on two exchanges you can do the arbitrage that way.

just make sure the market on both exchanges are active (sometimes exchanges deactivate some markets for different reasons like delisting a coin and price goes higher or drops lower because of that) and make sure you can deposit and withdraw coins you want first.
3022  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google and Facebook go back on their position towards cryptocurrencies; Bitcoin, on: July 23, 2018, 02:10:05 PM
i think the market may consider this as a good news and they certainly are hyping this up all over Reddit and ... these days. but in retrospect i'd say this is more of a bad news than a good one because it means all the scams will come back. the Malware Ads that were fooling the newcomers to download false wallets. the ICO Scams that were fooling newcomers to take their money and all the pumpers ,.... will come back too. and that is more damaging to the whole market than it is good.
3023  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN start growing again !! on: July 23, 2018, 01:58:32 PM
The recent price increase is because of ETF approval on 16th of August. If the ETF approved we will reach a new ATH in this year. Otherwise we will see sub 5000 dollars.

wow you are putting a lot of faith in something that is practically useless and won't add/remove anything from bitcoin or its future. with or without ETF, bitcoin is still the same decentralized currency that has been rising for the past 9 years and it still has the same scarcity as always.

with ETF we will not see a new ATH this year and without it we won't see below the strong support at $6k either.
3024  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin fair value is above $10,000 on: July 23, 2018, 01:43:32 PM
Bitcoin's fair value is the latest exchange rate, period.

i think "fair value" is a wrong term to use here. it seems to me that the term that should have been used is "Intrinsic Value". in which case you can say that intrinsic value of bitcoin is above $10k and i can see how it can be true. it is basically a price that you come up with after fundamental analysis which is why it is also referred to "Fundamental Value".

you basically analyse the asset and say it has to be worth this much and if it is above that price then it is considered a bubble and if it is below that price it is considered under priced.
3025  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoin Gains and Tax Payment In India This Year on: July 23, 2018, 01:28:27 PM
i think the Indian government messed things up for themselves mostly and the RBI is to blame for that. before RBI banning exchange accounts the government could monitor what everyone was doing because they were all going to a centralized exchange and their identity was revealed. but now they are all trading off the market and using localbitcoins,... so the government no longer has any idea who is doing what so they can not TAX them Grin
3026  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Judgement day India on: July 23, 2018, 01:08:19 PM
But isn't it the Indian Supreme Court has postponed it and moved the decision on Sept 11?

Quote
A Supreme Court decision on the Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) efforts to bar cryptocurrency firms from receiving banking services will have to wait – for now.

A final hearing on the ban's merits has been deferred to September 11, local news outlet Inc42 reported Friday. The panel of judges overseeing the case want all arguments and submissions from both the RBI and the ban's critics to be submitted by that day. While it is not clear when a decision will be made, Rashmi Deshpande, a lawyer representing Kali Digital, which runs an exchange, said she expects the Supreme Court to "dispose of the case" the same day.

https://www.coindesk.com/indias-supreme-court-pushes-crypto-banking-ban-hearing-to-september/

So it is still in effect. However, as much as I want to think that the Supreme Court will reverse its ban? I don't think that they will make that sudden U-turn. They have already uphold RBI's decision earlier. But I would be really surprised it they will suddenly junked their earlier decision and override it.

they are  currently working on regulating cryptocurrencies.
it is not exactly a U turn because the government never banned bitcoin or cryptocurrencies in first place to want to change that, it was just their Reserve Bank that blocked exchange accounts. and also it won't be total freedom, it will be a regulated cryptocurrency market in India.
3027  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: assurance of analysis of Bitcoin experts on: July 23, 2018, 12:51:14 PM
when it comes to bitcoin you should only trust your own personal judgement and analysis of the market otherwise what you read online is most of the times pure nonsense written by those who want to spread FUD or have little understanding of the market.
it is not that hard to form a speculative opinion either. you just have to watch the market for some time and see what are the things that makes it move.
3028  Economy / Economics / Re: Russian Dump of US Treasuries Fueling Bitcoin? on: July 22, 2018, 04:22:13 PM
By the way, bitcoi is tied with the USD,so if the dollar value decreases, the bitcoin price will have to decrease as well.

that doesn't make any sense!
it is like saying if US dollar value decreases the price of goods will drop too! that is completely wrong. the price of everything will go up because value of USD would be lower in that scenario and things like bitcoin which are also an investment should technically rise because people seeing their money is losing value would want to invest it in something to "store the value" and one of those things is bitcoin.
3029  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy $20k when bitcoin falls to $1? on: July 22, 2018, 04:05:17 PM
instead of wishing for things that would never happen you should have took your head out of the sand and bought bitcoin. if you had done it then you would have already made $1000+ profit on each bitcoin because of the small rise that happened while you were in dreamland Wink
3030  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price increase trend? on: July 22, 2018, 03:50:41 PM
One is that the bitcoin price will drop to $ 5,000 before rebounding

there is no reason for bitcoin to drop that low and anyone who is advocating this "opinion" is doing so because they have been left behind and now want a chance to get back in.

the fact is even if there was a big bad news price may not go below $6k. of course we can never predict with 100% accuracy but as i said there is no reason for it to go below that as it was tested many times already and the support there is pretty strong.
3031  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fork Bitcoin with a new Core that has no miner's fees. on: July 22, 2018, 03:30:07 PM
How about forking Core
you meant to say fork "bitcoin" right?!

Quote
so that there are no miner's fees?
fee is not a consensus rule it is set by the users and miners. in other words bitcoin has no fee it is miners that reject 0 fee transactions and it is nodes that don't relay 0 fee transactions and it is users that pay fee. if they decide to do otherwise it will BE otherwise!

if you run a node then just set minrelaytxfee to 0 and if you are  a miner then stop rejecting  0 fee transactions. now you have bitcoin with no fee but  consequences...

... once that's over, ...
it won't be over for many years!
3032  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin hit 60,000$ by the end of 2018? on: July 22, 2018, 03:10:40 PM
I dont Think so. 60,000$ is too much for this year. But maybe 25,000 - 40, 000 $. Last year was 20,000$ if im not wrong.

LOL, if price goes back to $20k and breaks it by the end of the year i assure you that $60k is going to be nothing. it will be reached within days of $20k fast and easy.

the problem is such rise won't happen in first place. the rise back to $20k will be a slow one then it will speed up. something like last time. price reached $1k slowly then speed up and suddenly exploded Cheesy
3033  Economy / Speculation / Re: Tighten your seat belts and hodl the bulls are coming. on: July 22, 2018, 03:03:02 PM
this is still speculation, it is not completely a sure thing that SEC approves ETF this time either. but it seems like the media doesn't stop hyping up the situation.

what is most interesting to me is that price is still pretty much the same as before which shows that the market doesn't believe the hype otherwise they should have bought bitcoin in a FOMO action and price should have risen a lot more than this, possible to $9k already.
3034  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your investment strategy? on: July 22, 2018, 02:56:16 PM
the strategy is same as always. accumulate bitcoin specially when it is in a dip and short term trade altcoins specially those that are getting pumped. try to start with a small amount and trade for a little while and see how the market works. slow down your pace and watch the market most of the times instead of just jumping in. then you will slowly learn what strategy to  choose.
3035  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Samsung start to accept Bitcoin on 3 countries on: July 22, 2018, 02:46:46 PM
This news has been long. you may just find out now. even samsung has taken part in investing an ICO one of crypto currency. namely Unibright (UBT)
even join other large companies as shown in the attachment I attached below

i don't know about this particular one but most of these ICOs are just listing big names without any real partnership or anything behind them. this is an advertising technique they are using to pretend they are legit so that they can raise more money before running away.
3036  Economy / Economics / Re: HOW BITCOIN BENEFITS THE ECONOMY? on: July 20, 2018, 03:19:51 PM
The government in most countries have decided to ban Bitcoin and cryptocurrency as a whole.
WRONG.
the cases of an actual bitcoin ban in countries are extremely rare. the news is filled with lies about bans though and i think you have fallen for that FUD.

Quote
I begin to wonder why the government for these countries have taken such an initiative.
in those rare cases like Bangladesh, it was done because the government feared they were going to lose control over their people and their tyranny could be reduced so they decided to ban bitcoin.

Quote
Any idea on the benefits bitcoin offers to the economy? Help me convince my government to accept Bitcoin.
well you can't do that. you are either in one of those rare countries so your government is not going to change their rules or you are anywhere else in the world and your government has never banned it so there is nothing to change!
3037  Economy / Speculation / Re: Digital Currency Group's Silbert says bitcoin has 'hit the bottom on: July 20, 2018, 03:14:33 PM
It's not that people are ignoring bitcoin analyst and their predictions, they simply chose not to react about it. Because some analyst makes predictions without adequate calculation, we can all see it through the likes of McAfee. Anyway, I have no problem with this prediction price because it's still realistic. $20,000-$25,000 can stil be possible this year ending but I see us ending the year with the price of $10,000.

funny you should mention McAfee because i have a feeling that ever since we found out that he is getting paid $100k for a simple tweet which is a lot of money for doing nothing, everyone else seems to be following the same footsteps in their own ways.
we have had a lot of speculation like this predicting ridiculously high prices for bitcoin in a time frame that always seems impossible.
3038  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can bitcoin break the $8000 margin before month end? on: July 20, 2018, 02:55:52 PM
in order to rise another $500-$600 in the following 10 days we don't really need ETF approval, it can actually happen a lot easier than that without any hype even. there is enough demand and buys happening these days that this rise can easily happen. the problem is the sells, and not just random people selling but a bear whale dumping large amounts because he doesn't want to believe his time is over.

Another "Shitty Coin"Fork Is Not A HARD Fork
Also Here's The List Of All Bitcoin "Fork" HERE

1. this is the one i knew about.
2. this is not a hard fork! this is an invalid block which then other miners build on and separated themselves from the main chain effectively creating an orphaned chain.
3. you still can not categorize any of the altcoins created out of bitcoin under "bitcoin hard forks". just because some website lists them or they are created out of bitcoin you can't say bitcoin had X number of forks. the correct statement is "X number of altcoins were created using bitcoin code and its blockchain history"

so still there is only 1 hard fork for bitcoin so far.
3040  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Newbies to Bitcoin can be dangerous! on: July 20, 2018, 02:19:42 PM
I have been in the scene for years and I still know very little about EVERY aspect of this technology.

those who know more are always like this. in other words you are knowledgeable enough to know your knowledge is nothing but a drop of the ocean.

and regarding these newbies based on what i have seen i think it is mostly because of merit system. many of the topics that are created with a technical subject are for gaining merit. some of them even ask you to give them merit if you liked what you read!
