3044  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin without Altcoin ? on: March 09, 2016, 05:11:28 PM
I just wanted to get your opinions on this one , what do you think Bitcoin would be if there was no Alternative coins such Litecoin & Dogecoin and the others ...
I mean it would be better with or without them Bitcoin would have no value at all ?
not easy to imagine if in this world only exist one crypto currecny, maybe we just trade bitcoin to cash money,or trade bitcoin to stock and other foreign exchange,so many currecny will compete bitcoin, like paypal, perfectmoney and other.
3045  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: About Satoshi on: March 09, 2016, 05:07:40 PM
I have a question about the Bitcoin founder : Satoshi Nakamoto
Satoshi's identity is anonymous, so how did the people came to know that the founder's name is "Satoshi Nakamoto" ?
the anwser is,Satoshi Nakamoto exist, and known from japan, but nobody know who really he is,and where is he now,and what he doing now, nobody know that. some people believe that bitcoin created by satoshi nakamoto because bitcoin early sdopter said like that, dont too confuse to face this.
3046  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It looks like Bitcoin charities are starting to voice opinions on scalability on: March 09, 2016, 05:05:43 PM
Bitcoinist just published an interview with the founder and director of the BitHope Foundation. When asked about the block size debate, he said the current discussions are "instrumental" to finding a solution. Normally we don't here things on issues like this from charities, what do you guys think about that?

Article link: www.bitcoinist.net/bithope-speaks-scalability-ngo/
bitcoin as payment is an option, can't be effort for something like charity, even some foundation do that,i'm sure they will trade it to money first for aim that charity, yes of course director of the BitHope Foundation will give that answer, not important to them for joining discussion about block size debate.
3047  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: March 09, 2016, 04:55:59 PM
It seems that experts say that Bitcoin 'Here to Stay,' But Banks Could Disappear.

"TheStreet: How do you think FinTech will impact the way banks operate?

Frank Schwab: Banks either react on, or they will disappear. Anyway, the consolidation of the banking industry accelerates as the behaviour of people changes. Some banks will benefit from [FinTech], some will be pushed to the back end, and some will disappear."
http://www.thestreet.com/story/13419089/1/bitcoin-here-to-stay-but-banks-could-disappear-says-fintech-expert.html

What's your read on that?

the only way to make banks dissapear because bitcoin is "economic revolution" if world economic agree that bitcoin can replace money (i think impossible) and bitcoin become global payment and currency under IMF,and they make bitcoin bank in every countries in the world. but i think its impossible.
3048  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin trusted to put your real money on: March 09, 2016, 04:50:01 PM
I heard people buying bitcoin using real money..
Is it really good since we all know that everything on internet can be hack or something....
Is bit[Suspicious link removed]d to make your money grow fast or will you just lose all those money??
not,its not trusted, bitcoin transaction have so many risk, and its become your responsibilty, dont take too much risk by invest or put all your money in bitcoin, everything can happen in just within a day,we dont know in some month bitcoin will dissapear or bitcoin price will going down so deep.
3049  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people use so many Bitcoin wallets? on: March 09, 2016, 04:47:51 PM
Just wondering why people use so many Bitcoin wallets.
i just using one wallet, its coinbase. i think why so many people use so many bitcoin wallet because they not sure with one wallet security, they worry about their security asset (bitcoin). each wallet have different security method,so they use many bitcoin wallet to store their bitcoin in some divide.
3050  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we find Bitcoin wallet? on: March 09, 2016, 03:11:18 PM
Can we find out which online wallet a particular bitcoin address belongs to?I keep my coins at blockchain.info and some coins at Zebpay,Is it possible for someone to identify which address belongs to which of above wallet or any wallet?
its impossible. so far i never find some wallet or exchange that use vanity bitcoin address to all their bitcoin address, for example,if coinbase create all their address with signature like this "1coinbase23FGHBGR456hH44jjbkdL" that will be cool, but i never find wallet like that.
3051  Other / Off-topic / Re: What else besides Bitcoin r u doing to make money online? on: March 09, 2016, 03:04:53 PM

3052  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What "facts" you heard about Bitcoin is not true? on: March 09, 2016, 12:12:57 PM
When I started using Bitcoin, I thought Bitcoin transactions cannot be traced. I believe this was what I read from a few Bitcoin related site back in 2012/2013.

As I get to know more and more about Bitcoin, I found out that it is not true. Technically, it can be traced from the Blockchain. Ones need to use a Bitcoin mixer before he/she can be "anonymous".

What "facts" have you heard about Bitcoin that is not true - other than the price?
so many fact that i heard was not true about bitcoin,"bitcoin death" gavin andersen said like that,so many people start panic, and me too Grin but its was not true and now everything was okay. and then "bitcoin used for terrorist funds" its also not true, tha fact is terrorist have own currency, and some people aid they use western union,i dont know.
3053  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: advantage of bitcoin debit card? on: March 09, 2016, 11:49:30 AM
so seen some companys that offers bitcoins debit card what is the advantage of having them?

anyone using them what is the transactions fees am courius
i just see advantage using bitcoin debit card that you can use bitcoin in every store which not accept bitcoin but accept debit card. why must be using bitcoin debit card?its will make people dont see any advantage using normal bitcoins, how about poor people who want to start use bitcoin, but they know bitcoin just from debit card, and how about small city who dont have any ATm or other electronic payment?
3054  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you do with your idle coins? on: March 09, 2016, 11:43:25 AM
I have some coins idling around in my wallet but I cannot bear to put it in hyip or risk it. But it is a waste to let it idle around. Yes. I have coins in some "lower risk" hyips to generate some interest which I'm prepared to write off. I also have some coins converted to hashing power in hashnest and BW.com but it has to be monitored else you will suffer a loss instead.  Grin

Unlike fiat currencies, I cannot park these coins into banks backed by governmental institutions. I put my fiat currencies in banks or blue chips but I cannot do it with cryptos.

So, what do you do with your idle coins? Let it sit around?
in my opinion, idle coins is mistake,i buy coin which dont have good future, coins which have bad reputation,i almost dont have coins like that, really wasting time to buy coins like that, and of course wasting my bitcoins, now just focus to buy good coins like Etherum,Monero or Litecoins.
3055  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin accepting Electric Vehicle Public Charging Station on: March 09, 2016, 08:16:00 AM
Is there some Bitcoin accepting Electric Vehicle Public Charging Stations or public Plug In?
I see in it a way to earn bitcoins or local currency for everyone, who have a own parking lot.
For who have a shop, this is a way to have clients with electric cars.

3056  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Women of Bitcoin - help me explain consensus to my girlfriend so she buys BTC on: March 09, 2016, 08:11:35 AM
Every time I try to explain bitcoin to my girlfriend, she asks, "what's mining" and "why"?  So I try to explain the need for consensus and lose her after two sentences.

She still has yet to put even one dollar into bitcoin and I hope she gets in before the halving (which she really can't comprehend).  Plus she makes more money than me which makes me want to convince her even more. But I showed her this Daily Decrypt and she had a much longer attendtion span because the host is a woman.  Jealousy?  I don't know but it worked.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=VQGlcLFhwE0

So now I am looking for other women who explain bitcoin like Andreas, who is great, but ineffective in this application (another boring man).

The daily decrypt is a little more advanced than I need right now.  Looking for more basic info.  Like I said, I have yet to convince her that bitcoin is even worth putting ten bucks into.

 Thanks in advance.
what your girl background?general people or hve major background college?i think you just tell him some mining video from any source. this link will explain about anything https://bitcoin.org/en/
dont tell him about consensus, its not right time.
3057  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Canada Taxing Bitcoin Transactions on: March 09, 2016, 08:07:05 AM
It looks like the rules of taxation for bitcoin will soon be taking effect

Canada’s Revenue Agency says users of bitcoins are obligated to pay taxes on transactions using the alternative currency, The agency told the CBC that two tax rules apply to the digital currency, depending on how it’s used. Barter transaction rules apply to bitcoins used for goods or services, according to the report.  Bitcoins bought and sold for speculative purposes are subject to captial gains or income taxes, depending on the specifics of the case, the agency says

 http://blogs.marketwatch.com/thetell/2013/04/29/canada-to-tax-bitcoin-transactions/
i dont know what the effect of this taxtation of bitcoin trnsaction,is here canadian who can speak directly what really happen there?and what effect of this all?
i hope some countries not follow canada for now,i think this is not a correct time.
3058  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I want to start trading on: March 08, 2016, 03:09:40 PM

3059  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to get 60 satoshi on: March 08, 2016, 03:07:08 PM
Hello everyone.

I recently bought some MaidSafeCoins and I have a little problem. I stored them in my wallet but I didn't realize that to withdrawal them I need to pay a fee, and the fee must be paid in Bitcoin. I don't have any Bitcoin so I can't withdraw my coins  Cry  . The fee is only 70 satoshi so I have been looking for a faucet or somewhere like that to get them for free, but everywhere I look they have a minimum withdrawal amount, so I can't just withdraw the 70 satoshi. So, the question is, do you have any ideas to obtain those satoshi? Any webpages?

Thank you very much!
faucet will give you more than 60 sathosi, but you need deposite first in order toreach minimum witdraw,or you can do that on gambling site like fastdice. or post your address here,i will give you some.
3060  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: you know Paypal is dangerous but still do it. so how to avoid being limited? on: March 08, 2016, 03:05:08 PM
I see there are so many people buy and sell with paypal, but do you never met any scam buyer/seller who take any cheaps to report you and led to your paypal account is closed?? just yesterday, my paypal account was killed, so my store reduce an accept payment.

and I guess everyone have known that BTC-related transaction is dangerous on paypal, but how do you treat it? did any people buy/sell Bitcoin with Paypal in the long term, but had never been punished by Paypal yet?

thanks firstly for your valuable experice   Embarrassed
i dont treat it,its okay and always good for make transaction with paypal, buying bitcoin with paypal in long term is not too risky, paypal know that all people have "right" to decide what they gonna do with their paypal. in other threads someone mentioned about this case, its fine.
