3061  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏇 Horse Racing (UK & Ireland mainly) odds and predictions 🏇 on: September 14, 2022, 04:31:12 PM
Since we don't have that much interest in actual betting on horse racing I guess I will just bump it now and then when grade 1 races happen and forget about weekly races

That being said, Sandown was one of my newbie mistakes, when I look back I did the mistakes of a noob, not trying to find out the winner but searching for the bet and return I liked, totally opposite to the previous day and with the obvious consequences

Let's start counting loses

13:50 , total loss, both favorite and promising one, 4th and 6th
14:25 , Local Dynasty did win but at 11/10, Lucky Fifteen was not lucky
15:35 , Bayside Boy and Escobar did palce but Sinjari no, Sly Madam 5th no place
16:10 , as always the one I considered a lost bet from the start was a winning one, I'll Be There at 4/1
16:40 , Savrola was a non-runner, voided bets, good cause Phantasy Mac flopped
17:10 , Rikona 11th, Miss Bluebelle 7th, Meleri 5th , lol.

could have been way worse!

I'll update this same post with the races at Ayr as there is where the action is focused on the weekend.
3062  Economy / Economics / Re: U.S. household wealth suffers record drop in second quarter on: September 14, 2022, 04:06:37 PM
Its the fed's balance sheet. They can create money out of thin air to create an illusion of wealth.

Yeah, when FED shows numbers going down, the apocalypse is happening when numbers go up, it's all fake.
If they would be simply printing money to cover this all why didn't they print some more now?

Anyhow I was referring to your quote, no Americans have not been losing money since 2020, as the graph clearly shows the wealth increased by 50%, if you choose not to believe, if you want to apply a tinfoil hat on anything it's your choice but based on the numbers from the same source as in your article it has not gone down but up.

The closest analogy would be to say bitcoin is a disaster since bitcoiners has been losing money since it went down from 60k but ignoring that it also went there from let's say 3k 5 years ago.

Also, this:
Distribution of Household Wealth in the U.S

Q1 2020 bottom 50% 1.86 T
Q2 2021 bottom 50% 3.92 T

Quote
Economic inefficiency introduced by rising fossil fuel costs, supply chain disruptions, higher food prices and inflation. Guarantee household wealth is being destroyed at a high pace.

Simple question, if I'm losing money because I'm paying more for a kilo of apples, that extra money evaporates or goes to the extra wealth of the one selling me the apples?

3063  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for product description for cryptocurrency miners (e-commerce website) on: September 14, 2022, 03:51:51 AM
On Fiverr there are people who offer similar services, and I have regulated myself based on those prices.

For 5$ on Fiverr, you will get exactly what you have posted:

Quote
The SUNLUNE JASMINER X4 Ethash Server miner is one to keep an eye on. It has a 5GB memory capacity and an Ethernet connectivity. The miner is suitable for individuals who want to start mining bitcoin at home.

which would be worth like, 10 lost sales  Wink

3064  Economy / Economics / Re: U.S. household wealth suffers record drop in second quarter on: September 14, 2022, 03:13:10 AM
Incidentally, this appears to be the latest in a series of multi trillion dollar lossses of wealth for americans since the 2020 pandemic began.

The FED says otherwise:
https://www.federalreserve.gov/releases/z1/dataviz/z1/balance_sheet/chart/

2022 Q2 144T
2020 Q1 110T

The net wealth is still far above 2020.
3065  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Energy storage solutions? on: September 14, 2022, 01:17:43 AM
It's a good topic, actually the best solution I've seen is "compressed air energy storage system":

Not sure if anything is available on the consumer market, but it's something worth making yourself, maybe.
I expect it to take a lot of space and be pretty loud....

Poor energy density, poor efficiency if you're not recovering the heat, you need to turn all that into electricity, a ton of maintenance compared to a simple battery, simply not feasible at a small scale.

Since the price of the electricity fluctuates a lot during the day/night (at least here in Norway), I was thinking about a small household/mining rig solution, a power storage which can be charged during the "cheap" hours and when the electricity price is hits the top then used the stored power to mine/powering the house. In addition you can add additional charging from solar/wind sources.

I think that will be the future.
Anyone knows about/have experience with such solutions like Tesla Powerwall?

A tesla powerwall goes for $11500, we don't know how much electricity you use and how big is the difference between the day and night tariffs.
Let's assume it's 60 cents ? as I see 6.08 kroner per kWh, let's say cheap at night is 10 cents and you get 7$ a day, so 4.5 years you're going to recover the investment. Oh, add another half a year because it too has an efficiency, on paper 92% but, that's paper.

3066  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin doesn't like high inflation either on: September 14, 2022, 12:42:30 AM
For the reasons you mentioned. Weak hands sell,

Seriously, let's stop with those weak hands.
Where the hell did they manage to get their coins to sell in the first place?
Did they just buy them, then it means the rise was also due to the same weak hands, which, you know, sounds weird.
Did they hold from 50k, 40k, you can't label those hands as weak anymore, more like an intermediate level.
Do you mean weak hands had enough coins to drop the market by 10% with every strong hand yelling cheap coins? Not sounding very "weak'" to me!

Common, 10 years and we're still talking about weak hands it's like we will be still blaming witches for drought.
Bitcoin has become somewhat of a global asset, not fully integrated but still widespread enough to be affected the same way stocks are, the same way gold and oil price are, nothing wrong with it nothing exceptionally good from it either, it's just is what it is.

It's not weak hands that make it a hedge against inflation. It's legitimate moneyed users, organizations, and corporations.

Hmm, it is just me or the weak hands are a bit tougher than all the others right now?  Cheesy
A hedge against inflation is not decided by who is backing it, it's decided by the way it acts against inflation, and as you can see, weak hands or corporations, drug lords or investors, collectors or gamblers, the direction is the other way around at the moment and my feeling is that we won't be out of this crappy bear market till the whole economy on a global scale shows signs of improvement, which obviously comes with a lower inflation rate.
3067  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin doesn't like high inflation either on: September 13, 2022, 06:22:19 PM
Without knowing what you've previously said, I'm trying to acknowledge: What's your point? That bitcoin price moves analogously to US inflation? Apparently, it doesn't. History has shown it.

If history has shown us something, can you please elaborate on the reasons why when inflation grows beyond what's expected the same moment the price drops while when inflation unexpectedly cools down more than predicted it jumps?
Because that's exactly what happened three times in a row for now, within minutes and in two cases breaking a continuous trend.
Second, you claim that history has shown us, in what part of Bitcoin history has inflation gone up by more than 3% for more than one quarter?

So what?

Well, since I would guess a number of us close to 99% on this board agree that bitcoin will obviously increase in price we should stop talking about anything cause, so what, we know the outcome already!

My point is very simple to understand:
- high inflation, people are forced to cut expenses, to save money, they stop thinking of investment, bitcoin grows slowly
- low inflation, economic growth, people have money, they have the resources and the mindset to invest, bitcoin grows faster

3068  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin doesn't like high inflation either on: September 13, 2022, 05:25:41 PM
Let's see, inflation rose by 0.1% instead of going down by 0.1% as "experts" predicted.
Bitcoin...

But hey, these things happening three times in a row with just a few minutes apart from the release of the data and the price crash are obviously not related, just as obviously I'm not sarcastic here. Wink

3069  Economy / Economics / Re: The Impact of the Capitalist System on People's Economic Practices, Really? on: September 13, 2022, 05:12:51 PM
Hihihi, this is just funny.

So after bashing capitalism for three paragraphs we come to the solution that crypto provides to get out of the system , and that's:

Just imagine, if we invest $5.390,11 in bitcoin or in altcoins,

OP, do you know what investing your money (aka capital) and waiting for a return on your investment is?  Grin

You think you have managed to find the immortal golden goose that forever from now one will get you a golden egg and the price of gold will keep on rising, same with crypto, you think that (hmm, not nice including shitcoins here), you will get the same returns over and over again, year after year and that the $ value will keep being the same.

Quote
Just imagine, if we invest $5.390,11 in bitcoin or in altcoins, if the return on investment is maximum and we do it at the right time, then to make one house no more than 1, 2 or 3 years running time, without having to wait for repayment annual fees that run according to the agreement.

Nope

Sep 13, 2021   20,792.36
Sep 14, 2019   10,345.40
Assuming your investment 3 years ago with 5.3 now you would have a bit over 10k, and getting the right time, that means gambling, and it's not an investment!

Btw, if people would be able to turn 5k into 30k in 3 years just buy buying some coins, what do you think would happen to the prices of houses when everyone has millions in their bank accounts?  Cheesy
3070  Economy / Economics / Re: The impact of Russian and Ukrain war on world economy on: September 13, 2022, 03:45:17 PM
It is surprising how quickly the Russian army formations are disintegrating all over Ukraine.

Oh really?
Surprising to who?
To the guys that were posting things like:

LOL.. I think you are still living in the 19th century. Dude, that era is long gone, when Europeans could do whatever they wanted. Most of the European countries don't even have a proper army nowadays and are entirely dependent on the United States for their defense deals. Within a few weeks, all these media hype about heroic Ukrainian defense will fall apart and Putin will walk away with half of Ukraine. Europeans will be left with another 10 million economic migrants from Ukraine, which will add further strain to the budget (that is already under pressure from the raising gas and oil prices).

In a few weeks, Putin will walk away with half of Ukraine...lol.
I will not quote your other failed predictions, not the 300 per oil barrel, not the 5000$ per whatever you measure gas future in, not the fact that Europe was supposed to freeze to death, not the fact that Europe has no gas while the deposits keep on filling even without ns2 and ns1 shut down, not the fact that Europe managed to get a 0.8% growth and Russia despite cashing in record money from gas went down by 4%...
Ups, wtf, did I actually mention all of them?

How about you have a full enlightenment moment and you start realizing that the truth is not what Russian and starving Iranian with 7$ a month food tickets propaganda want you to believe? This was the Ukraine army with a bit of help from Nato, no fighter planes, no helis, no MBT, no full range missile and ammunition, just 16 Himars (destroyed 100 times), while the US has ...about thousands of them.

Remember, the USSR went with the same tactic, it disintegrated, the EU was supposed to die twice in 2009 and 2013, but well, it didn't.
Use your head, not stupid shit vomited by people who have never set foot in Europe.

Most of which retreated in an organized manner across the Northern Donets River in order to avoid the threat of encirclement.

When you leave a full battery of Msta, again a full intact battery, 5 T-72 B3  parked one after the other in intact condition, when your propagandist post hundred of videos of how you're rushing in reinforcements to the front, lol, airlifting, again lol, BTR-D to send the to the front, when on TV your propagandist talked about columns of hundreds of vehicles reinforcing the front to crush the nazis, now...it was a retreat?
Lol!~
3071  Other / Meta / Re:
Gambling Board Spammers; Concerns, Solutions & Suggestions on: September 13, 2022, 03:18:19 PM
My brief half of week experience with the gambling section  Cool

1) Opened a self-moderated [ur=https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5413000.0l]topic about horse racing, the self-moderated stuff combined with the fact that you can't post about Lewandowski going to Barcelona for $50m every week to make your quota and the topic is dead.
2) A non-moderated topic asking about what a trifecta is uncovered in less a day a ton of horse racing gamblers, of course, on paper  Cheesy

Conclusion:
Self-moderated topics won't prevent s&*^

Proposal:

This could be achieved with the cooperation of a few signature managers and with the actual casinos and sports betting websites that really care about people wanting to gamble and not fan talk about Lewandowski going to Barcelona for $50m.

So, how about this change in the criteria of posting x times in the gambling section:
Rather than having 10 out of 25 posts in the gambling discussion section, either keep or erase this altogether but make half of the previous quota to be mandatory about actual gambling.

This means no posts like:
Quote
Barcelona bought Lewandowski for $50m and this will be a match against his former team ...more lines of garbage
and more like
Quote
Lewandowski after the last match has only a 1.85 odds of scoring and 5.5 to score twice, and it's just 1.9 for over 3.5 goals for the match, combining one of those with.....

Gambling websites should be interested in promoting talks about real gambling, about their odds, about their winning, and not fan talk about Lewandowski going to Barcelona for $50m, so this requirement would be in their interests.
Would it cut down spam, maybe, maybe not that much but this is clear. It will make spammers work way harder than just rephrasing their last posts from one week ago and it will help a lot in trimming down those who obviously have no clue what they are talking about.

Oh, did I mention Lewandowski going to Barcelona for $50m?  Cheesy

3072  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏇 Horse Racing (UK & Ireland mainly) odds and predictions 🏇 on: September 13, 2022, 02:51:03 PM
Guess the self moderated tag scared the shit out of "gamblers" in this section.

Thank you for commenting your bets with honesty including the losing ones, this is very interesting.
I don't know if you have already read this story about Bill Benter, this is one of the craziest story about gambling I've ever read. Bloomberg has even shot a video on it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4B0mGYZqElo

The headline is a bit misleading, he didn't really crack or found a solution to guess the horse races results with 100% accuracy, for example, the famous bet in Hong Kong wasn't a single bet, he put down 51,000 bets, he had a great algorithm but essentially it was a thing about winning more than losing, it's basically getting better that bookmakers at assuming the odds for a horse.
It was indeed a really good one, but it wasn't about nailing down each race from one try.

I haven't had time to post aboout Kempton on Monday, I just went against favorites as I sometimes do when it's about class 4 and 5, but most of the returns were erased by the likes of Aurora Charm 85,000 filly or Picual that run like... in short a 15 cents return to the dollar.

Today it's too late for anything so I will take a look at Sundown tomorrow,

15:50
Most likely Sir Benedict will be the favorite and Gerkin will ease in the markets, so either a forecast like this or a placing for the latter

14:25
Two promising horses, two beaten favorites, Local Dynasty (11/8), Sir Laurence Graff (9/4), but it's gambling right, so Lucky Fifteen , trained by Becket, 200k, great pedigree, Hector Crouch manages to get placings with the trainer horses so let's see it.

15:00
No, I don't bet on this kind of race full of unraced 2yo

15:35
Straight gamble, tricast on Bayside Boy , Escobar , Sinjari and another one with the last two in a different order. Might put one on Sly Madam which is a winner at way lower levels to get a place, she is 25/1 for a win so maybe a 5-8 odds on placing?

16:10
I'll Be There will certainly go down from 4:1, but placing is not getting good returns and it's a bit fragile for a winner, so just put 1$ on it and watch the race.

16:40
This is one I will want to watch, Phantasy Mack on has all the advantages while Savrola is rated as a threat only on possibilities, I will go with that market in this order and watch for the odds tomorrow on distances especially if there is a bet against Moonis, it's a 1m 1f after all.

17:10
Meleri 10/1 is dropping in class, dropping in trip after running out of steam at 1m 4f, and running good enough at this distance. Another $1 for fun bet would be Rikona 5/1 followed home by Miss Bluebelle 9/2.

Heading to Yarmouth for a class 1 stakes my enthusiasm went down reading the profiles.
One of the favorites, Ville De Grace, has a history of refusing to race twice in 5 races so this could turn into a mess and void bests so, down with the full card.

Probably till Ayr and Newbury races on Friday/Sunday I will take a break.
3073  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 2022 Diff thread. on: September 13, 2022, 01:59:37 AM
Quote
Current Pace:   103.5700%  (1908 / 1842.23 expected, 65.77 ahead)
Next Retarget (earliest):   Today at 10:04 PM  (in 0d 17h 22m 46s)

Less than a day at 3.5% up, and at most likely 32T we're going for a new ATH breaking through the last from May at 31,2.
Well, at least the price is also up.

As for the manipulation I agree with mikeywith, a manipulation down let's say would be possible for a few reasons although I have problems with that math on returns also but manipulation upwards? Is somebody getting gear and just plugging it in for a while to rise the hashrate and then throw the miners away? Nope.
And probably mid-October we're going to see another jump, if I remember correctly that was the time for the first s19xp hydro batch, and god knows how many of those were bought and how much they can squeeze out of them beyond factory specs.

3074  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever heard of trifecta betting? on: September 13, 2022, 01:40:06 AM
Not really my favorite when I bet on horse racing I prefer the daily double

Yes, I'm familiar with the word "trifecta", because I'm a avid fan of horse racing back in the days.

I know about this kind of betting since my father used to bet on horse racing and I happen to see this kind of wagering where they guess the first three horses that will cross the finish line.

And many more, so many into horse racing and I see none on my topic exactly about betting..weird ... Cheesy
As for how hard it is, I placed like 9 bets in the week two of them as tricast and I got one out of two at 24:1 ods.

I've never placed a bet on horse racing but I'm familiar with the term since I used to watch it. May I ask what's the average odds for one trifecta? Can it give you like $100 for $1 bet?

Most bookmakers cap the odds on trifecta some at 150 and some at 250, if you go for a tote when the whole pool goes to the winner you get better results if you get a win with very low odds horses. But with fixed odds it makes sometimes no sense to go for a trifecta, for example picking a random race tomorrow 15:35 Yarmouth

For example 3 horses,
Navy Drums  10.0,  Amasova 5.0, Portelet Bay 5.0

You're sure Navy Drums will be a winner and the two favorites will follow him home, a double will be
Navy Drums Amasova at   26.0 and
Navy Drums Amasova Portelet Bay   67.0
For just 250% extra I would take the risk and either bet more on the forecast or put another bet on Navy Drums and Portlet Bay for example.
Just not worth it in this example.

Naturally, you win big. A prediction of the top 3 places in the correct order is immensely difficult in these types of sports, no matter the case you'd have to be rather lucky to actually hit said predictions correctly.

Nope, it's not! If there are 15 horses in a race (which is already a big field for something that ain't the coral cup) there are 2,730 possibilities.
3075  Economy / Economics / Re: Grow Economy on: September 12, 2022, 03:53:29 PM
Hello, the community I am a person asking how I can fetch better improvements in the country's economy.

First mandatory step
Don't vote for an imbecile who is all talk promising you everything will be great and he will do marvels in 4 (or 5) years.
The moment the population votes only with the slogans and not with somebody presenting the reality and the mandatory hardships of switching the country to the right path it will be just another 4 years of wasted time and sometimes making things worse.

Under modernization, people exchanged self sufficient farms for cities and global markets. Skilled labor for mechanization and automation.

Recently we've seen trends in the opposite direction. People are abandoning cities and moving to rural areas to engage in off grid living. The high cost of fossil fuels is causing people to seek more local options. Skilled labor could be on the rise once again with DIY movements and processes like 3d printing. The high cost of living is making it popular for DIY options, due to the less feasible cost of hiring a professional.

And where is that happening?
I can tell you for sure it's not happening in Europe and for certain not in the US either.
https://www.statista.com/statistics/985183/size-urban-rural-population-us/

Besides, the whole thing about costs is ridiculous, why would somebody leave a flat in the city because of costs when heating a house in a village would be twice the rent and the heating of a flat? I have both of them, last year I spent like around 100euros on the heating of the flat around 100sq mp and 5 times more for the house although I've been there only maximum 8-10 days a month, the rest of the period the heating was left on minimal to prevent damage.

3d printing? You can't afford to rent in the city but you can go and buy a 3d printer and the material for it?
Gas? So you leave the city behind where you can use the metro or the bus and you go deep into the woods where if an emergency happens you have to drive 100km back to it? What about groceries? What about work?
3076  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏇 Horse Racing (UK & Ireland mainly) odds and predictions 🏇 on: September 11, 2022, 03:27:10 PM
So there are certainly opportunities of interesting arbitrages I guess. Which odds are the more accurate and reliable on average from what you know? Odds from bookmakers or odds from national parimutuel pools?

Yeah, arbitrage is what's making the big money right now, especially if you have time to look for those bets two-three days in advance, but it's really time-consuming and there is little room for error, I simply can't do it anymore. As for the fixed odds I go with the bookmakers, the same arbitrage and high volume exchange are making the differences barely noticeable, and if you want to bet on multiple things you still end with your bookie.

Back to racing, the update from yesterday

Quote
I'm sitting those out, it's again O'Brien fielding more favorites and as usual there is a mess of it, I've learned the hard way not to bet on or against his horses that have who few races, and in the Champion Stakes is Vadeni race to lose, maybe an 1-2 with Luxembourg for fun.

As usual, things went messy, Vadeni flopped, nothing in the late race from him, finishing just 3rd and the other favorite later, Homeless Songs, was just a shadow of a horse, not able to pick up at all. Luckily Luxembourg won, so a place bet on it erased two other screwups.

Today races, I was busy so didn't pick a thing for the Irish Ledger, so:

Quote
Cazoo St Leger Stakes
Everyone is going nuts for New London, 4/5, I guess yeah, the highest rating, proved himself twice in a row quite impressive but at those odds, it's no fun so I will go with an each way on Haskoy,

Another favorite bites the dust:

1 Eldar Eldarov
2 Haskoy
3 New London
and Haskoy managed to get a place.

Quote
Coral Doncaster Cup Stakes
This is Trueshan race to lose, he did break his record on a different ground but is still an obvious favorite, odds are ridiculous so better focus on the second place, Get Shirty and Coltrane, maybe with the latter coming up on top.

And again the favorite flops and Coltrane beat him to a neck in the last furlong, glad that I went on a place with him.

Quote
Coral Flying Childers Stakes
Two favorites with different styles of racing, The Platinum Queen 11/8 who likes to race from the front, and Trillium 2/1 who came  last to first twice in a row, so completely going nuts, go for a trifecta with Trillium, The Platinum Queen and Crispy Cat. Why Crispy Cat? Because I like her name! Also placing a bet on the first two, with obvious names.

Trilliing race
https://www.attheraces.com/racecard/Doncaster/11-September-2022/1335

This was one hell of a race and it was Trillium again pulling it out of the fire in last strides. I was so focused on the first two that after a few seconds I was all, where is Crispy Cat??? but he did it.
So got a tricast and a forecast right, and placed the bet while Trillium was sliding so that's a 23 odds.

In the Irish Ledger finally, a favorite delivered, Kyprios winning at 8/11f, but I've not put a penny on any races there. Four more tomorrow but probably I'll update this with Kempton alone since it's late evening and I have time for it.

Just as the rest said, I don't think anyone would have issues with a delay, if you're feeling unwell it's far better to just get some rest rather than stress yourself over things that can wait even one week and you can just catch up next week. I know for sure that at least! two times you paid the campaign out of your pocket to keep up with the payment date although you could have just waited, and that's a deed that can't be overshadowed by such a measly thing as a delay.

3078  Economy / Economics / Re: 'We don’t have enough' lithium globally to meet EV targets, mining CEO says on: September 10, 2022, 11:05:12 AM
Are you saying what I think you're saying?  And by that I mean are you suggesting that the US might find a reason to invade Afghanistan again in order to pillage their lithium?  Either way, that was the first thing I thought when I read the blurb about them having so much of it.

If any of those fairytale resources would be indeed there, not like the 1 quadrillion tons of gold discovered in Ghana there would have been at least attempts at mining them in 20 years, right?
If the USA would be that keen on exploiting resources in invaded countries we would have seen them mining them, and they wouldn't have retreated, right? You would have had only US companies exploring oil in Irak and nor the major oil fields run by China and Russia.

It's the same story, if a country gets into conflict with the US suddenly there are quadrillions of trillions of resources that the Americans want, when they retreat from there suddenly it's a different story, they went there ...for popcorn.

You honestly have a point there. There has never been a time America has 'helped' without an incentive

Weird how countries that have been helped by the US and have not sunk bank to being religious zealots are doing quite fine, let's look at South Korea and Japan, countries that have been "helped" by Russia and China on the other hand....

A friend also told me that there was also an announcement that traffic lights would also go through a rotational black out? This winter, the joke about turning off Christmas lights as a means to stop the wasteful use of electricity, and as my favorite debate against "wasteful POW electricity usage", is going to become true. I believe for the first time in Bitcoin's existence, we will see the total mining/hashing power scale down.

It can't be the first time since the first time already happened:

And it was clear in the hashrate
From the start of June at 216.54 EH/s it dropped to 198.15 EH/s only to recover at full speed the moment the heat wave was over by growing to221.72 EH/s the last adjustment.

AFAIK Ireland is using the parimutuel betting system(aka tote betting) but what about UK precisely?
Bets are only made through bookmakers at fixed odds or we can also bet against other bettors in a pool?

The thing that matters is on which site you bet, I use betfair as bet365 is really messy when it comes to amended results, if your horse is declared a winner after the race you still lose, if it's promoted to winner yous till lose.
So betfair uses fractional fixed-odds, you put your bet at a fixed odds and that's it, you can bet fixed odds for UK , Ireland or US.

I kind of dislike parimutuel sites because at least in my experience it's heavily manipulated, I saw pools raising 10x times in a matter of seconds and then not moving a penny, kind of fishy, probably from bookmaker to bookmaker.

Where can we find the current odds of the pool of Irish bets and of UK ones if it exists there please?

I use oddschecker.com for the fixed odds, for tote betting you can go to tote.co.uk which covers again both Ire and UK races.

Two interesting races at Leopardstown today, but I'm sitting those out, it's again O'Brien fielding more favorites and as usual there is a mess of it, I've learned the hard way not to bet on or against his horses that have who few races, and in the Champion Stakes is Vadeni race to lose, maybe an 1-2 with Luxembourg for fun.
