My try today : 124

Yea seems to have died.  Where did all the players go?

They stopped thinking the other ones stopped or they were not paid so they didn't reinvest Sad

Time for round2? Only 0.02 deposits?

3124  Economy / Economics / Re: Worst bitcoin decision you've ever made? on: March 29, 2014, 07:20:00 PM
Worst decision in bitcoin?

Buying at $800  Shocked  buying antminers, then watching price drop to $438 just 2 weeks later and antminers dropping in price as well.

$$$$ lost to deflation and GOX but now is the time to make a comeback  Cool

tough break; keep the bitcoins you have and buy some every now and them and hold them on a secured computer on bitcoin-qt or cold storage

sell your antminers on ebay while they are still worth something
3125  Other / Meta / Re: The cancer that is Ponzi on: March 29, 2014, 07:14:45 PM
When everyone knows that Ponzi is a Ponzi, it is not Ponzi.

Ponzi require lying to people about what they are putting they money into.

This is just another weird lottery, lest ones are going to lose.
Why does a ponzi require lying? Check the ponzis around here, they're honest about being ponzis. You get paid based on other people's investments, that's how a ponzi runs. The last person that invests loses his money. That being said, most ponzis ( all ) run away with people's money when they've made enough.

Yes and that is the biggest problem

It could be fixed by not allowing newbies to create new ponzis or having escrows, ponzicoin tried escrow then the ponzi shut down

3127  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who sold below $550? The $400 bottom is in LOL!!!! on: March 29, 2014, 07:04:11 PM
@igorr, there is more historic price data available for analysis, you seem to crop for your own spin lol.

In fact your time range encompasses the last "falling pennant" falling pennants tent to lead to breakouts, they have done in BTC history, always breaking to the upside. weeeee!

here's a much more sensible channel that encompasses all history on a log scale, take a good look at it kiddo you may learn something, the falling pennants are the blue trapezoids Wink

We see the same patterns with the price going up to new highs then dropping but it has been mostly going up since the beginning, sometimes I feel people forget that; even at 500$ way more than the majority of bitcoin holders are in profit

on a log scale
3128  Economy / Gambling / Re: Ponzibit.com | 125% on: March 29, 2014, 03:07:18 AM
Darn this one came and went before I even got a chance to says something  Cry

Haha it feels like you trying to set some kind of ponzi awarness record RiverBoatBTC
3129  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do people spend their bitcoins mostly? on: March 29, 2014, 03:03:23 AM
They hoard them, gamble them, loose them, send some to their friends or get sc.ammed

You can buy anything in bitcoins now but most people keep them to sell them at a profit or gamble them away
3130  Other / Off-topic / Re: I Have Something To Confess on: March 29, 2014, 02:58:58 AM
i wish it was a bigger secret than a pointless one  Tongue

I need to stop losing time reading those topics because I am becoming to find them funny and interesting..
3131  Economy / Speculation / Re: how much do you really think this will go up in value? on: March 29, 2014, 02:54:03 AM
I will commit to selling BTC for the fair price of $1,000,000 each, but this offer expires in late 2016.
Seriously?
OK...late 2017, but this is your last chance.  Grin
Oh ok well when btc is trading at $10,000,000 in early 2016, you better stick with this committment.

I will be there as well to buy btc that cheaply with USD that will have lost most its value

We are talking nominally right?
3132  Economy / Gambling / Re: FREE Bitcoin for the best player on: March 29, 2014, 02:48:02 AM
Today the competition is over, the next contest will begin on Monday 31st  Wink

Can you explain the rules in detail
3133  Economy / Gambling / Re: These ponzi games are ridicilous. on: March 29, 2014, 02:47:09 AM
Ponzi not worst than casino. If it's transparent, if you know it's a ponzi and you know this system, it's your money you can do what you want. In ponzi scheme they are winners and losers, same think in casino. You can't flame ponzi games if you support casino... In my humble opinion Smiley

The 2 problems with ponzi games is that the owners usually play and can fix the game a bit and they usually finish by shutting down the website and keeping what's left in the ponzi wallet

I've played a few doge ponzis before and usually win. It's understanding the fact if i loose it's cheaper than going to the casino and dinner for the night.

It is less social as well, you don't construct anything playing at home when you can interact with people, getting social skills and contacts that will help you in life when you go to dinner or at a party
3134  Economy / Gambling / Re: Ponzibit.com | 125% on: March 29, 2014, 02:43:10 AM
Oh this is a new game? So original!

Website is off

Each time a new sc.ammy ponzi doesn't work it feels good Smiley
3135  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sell Just-Dice Custom Gamble Script on: March 29, 2014, 02:39:30 AM
Instead of doing a martingale you can bet with a small payout like x1.05 or x1.1 and you repeat, it is the same Grin

Good luck selling your product though I guess some people may be interested
3136  Economy / Speculation / Re: I AM HODLING on: March 29, 2014, 02:21:45 AM

YEahh
just wanted to say this today, for the china originated downwards trending

By "China" we all mean COMMUNIST CHINA; a nation stuck in time adhereing to a failed political and social policy.

It will soon implode and there will be money to be made from the rubble and ashes.

My $.02.

Wink

If I may China has changed and adapt a lot, the communist party has persons confronting opinions and the deal with the people is we give you prosperity and better wealth and we keep the power, as long as the prosperity is improving they are probably going to keep the power

1B of people went out of extreme poverty in 50years, that is a pretty impressive result compared to the trend in the states in the last 50years : now in the states the average salary in purchasing power has decreased and people work to pay taxes and borrow to consume
3137  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: March 29, 2014, 02:17:34 AM
I heard there are a lot of colluding players on that site so good luck to you.

Yes probably especially in the 6max and 9max Omaha games but if you play HU you are fine; players colluding don't mean they are +ev if they don't play well
The website even says that people are probably cheating on the website

I am at a net loss on SwC right now

Breaking News:

If no one buys we won´t go up  Shocked

If no one sells, we won't go down.

I have to think about that, but there might be some truth in it.
For now, Chona started dumpin a little bit. We´ll see how low this will go.

3600B mined a day. Selling wont stop.

3600B mined doesn't mean 3600B on the market to sell and how much fiat is coming to the exchanges from people who want to buy&hold?

...
Is the news bogus? There is certainly reason to believe it may not be.

Some reason more significant than repeats of a single article that contained no proof or references?

It wasn't a single article and it was also reported by one of the most respected news sources in China.

More respected than Newsweek? Please.

Tv in China is watch by hundreds of millions of people and articles are read by hundreds of millions of people as well

There is 1B of people in America and 4 in Asia...The center of the world is already Asia and it will be even more Asia as time pass by in the 21th century

You're missing the point. Sometimes the story is wrong, even if it's a major news source, even if other news sources regurgitate it.

Yes of course it is; I don't know what will be the extend of the ban in China but I doubt Newsweek know more than a Chinese newspaper

Let's say hypothetically that the ban is real. How much of that has already been priced in? Price has been dropping for four months since the first ban rumors. I'm almost hoping it's real because like Gox and Silk Road, we can finally get past it.

I agree with you there; while there is all this negativity new businesses are accepting Bitcoin, adopton is growing, the financial sector is domming itself with its malpractices and a lot of young smart minds are tiding themselves with Bitcoin building infrastructure and innovating so within a year we won't even remember mt gox or even China ban and we will see a price in 5digits or approaching 5 digits
