3161  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is Gamble gaining more fans than Bitcoin? on: August 03, 2023, 08:25:21 PM
Weird question. Gambling is an ancient reliable and simple business, just like baking bread. Even if there is a total adoption, gambling will still be more popular than bitcoin, and I'm talking not only about investing in bitcoin (there are always much fewer investors than ordinary users), but about all areas of application in general.
3162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who is to be blamed, the gambler or the betting agent on: August 03, 2023, 08:20:16 PM
If it is wrong for the owner to give the loan then the borrower is more guilty. Since the owner operates a casino or gambling business, he can certainly provide loans to grow his business. On the other hand, the person taking the loan should also be aware of whether he can repay the loan amount or not. When providing loans, sometimes such situations have to be accepted. It would have been better if the financial condition of the borrower could have been well known before giving the loan, then it would have been possible to prevent such a situation.

This is far from a fact. In most countries, gambling and lending are completely different areas of activity that are regulated in different ways and you must obtain different licenses to carry out these activities. That is why the chances of the casino through the court to demand money from this gambler are very low - they did not have the right to issue him a loan (this is my proposal, but I think it will be true for 95% of countries).
3163  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's safe to say - gambling is a guy thing. on: August 03, 2023, 08:02:19 PM
Hey y'all...Seriously, I've been having this running through my mind.. maybe it's been discussed but this is on a diverse objective.
Why is it that we tend to have alot of men inclined and addicted to gambling than women? Is there any mystery guiding that?
I mean, You ain't gonna telme that everyone isn't roofed by this economic crises - both gender to speak of - so what's so special about men gambling?? Alot of cases has been reported several times too - and y'all end up realizing that MEN are usually involved in very many critical cases... What's that validating? That men are really taking the whole thing personal??

Sandra 🧑‍🦰

If you look at other statistics like the number of people in prison, homeless people, successful people, etc. everywhere the largest percentage are men. It is obvious that men are more radical (due to testosterone?) and if they are fond of something, they go to the end. Gambling is another area where this theory works.

In fact, it’s not entirely clear why United was successful (relatively, since before the purchase of Casemiro things were going terribly) last season - maybe it was a certain merit of Liverpool and Chelsea which flew out of the top and vacated a place there. In the upcoming season they will return to business and I think that even a place in the top 4 is not guaranteed to anyone. As for the title, as long as there is a City, there is no point in talking about it.
Well it's true when we think back on the strength of Manchester City. So we can only take a deep breath because reaching this one club seems really difficult. Manchester City is like a big wall that every club in the Premier League has to go through if they want to win the title.

Maybe it's true that Manchester United last season so smoothly could land in 3rd place because there were 2 clubs that had experienced quite severe inconsistencies at the start of the season, namely Liverpool and Chelsea. Because if Chelsea and Liverpool can play well from the start of the season then maybe Manchester United will find it difficult to even land in the top 4. Liverpool did get back up last season but they got up too late. Because when Liverpool started to find their game again it turned out that the season was almost at its end. So that Liverpool's successive wins at the end of the season could not make this club penetrate the top 4.

But this season I feel it will be different from last season. I expected more difficult competition than last season.

By the way, Liverpool and Chelsea will have an additional advantage in the Premier League - both of these clubs will not participate in the Champions League (and Chelsea will not be in European competition at all) so they will be able to concentrate on one tournament. They can even plan the season in a radically different way without trying to bring the team to peak shape during the Champions League playoffs.

Even if the chance is small, then playing with a group of 100 people, you increase it by 100 times. I think you will agree that it is more profitable to have a small chance multiplied by 100 than just a small chance. As for the winnings, if it is so big that even a hundredth part of it radically changes your life, then such group games make sense.

Personally, I do not see the sense in it, because increasing the chance of winning in 100 times you reduce the winnings also in 100 times as even if one of the participants of the pool will win the prize the prize will have to be divided on all.

In general, I stopped playing the lottery a long time ago, because the chances of winning are so small that you can buy lottery tickets all your life, but never win. In my opinion, it is much more interesting to play the same slots, dice or poker.

The question of whether it is profitable to play the lottery or not is a separate question (of course not, the lottery loses to absolutely all other types of gambling).
There is a sense in a group game in the lottery. There is probably some amount that is life changing for you, right? For example, having received 5 million dollars, you will radically change your life. After that, if you get another 5 or 50 million, there will be no further drastic change. Therefore, the most important thing to start (haha) is to win at least 5 million. A group game where your chances grow multiple helps to achieve this.
3167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: August 03, 2023, 10:16:29 AM
Have you heard that Klopp is asking UEFA and FIFA to deal with the activity of Saudi clubs, arguing that the transfer windows in Europe and Saudi Arabia do not coincide in time? I wonder what he proposes - to extend the transfer window in Europe or to reduce it in Saudi Arabia? But even if this is done, the Saudi clubs will still have more money to poach players - and Klopp is 100% hinting at this problem.
3168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling experience using loan money on: August 03, 2023, 10:11:06 AM
It's an interesting topic, but I don't think we can see any variety of responses here - it seems obvious to me that people are under extra pressure when they play with borrowed money. Naturally, there are some not quite normal people who do not believe that they can lose, so they feel calm until the moment of failure. Playing for borrowed money is extremely bad, but in fact it is a kind of all in - if a player loses, he loses the collateral under which he took out a loan. In fact, this is not much different from the loss of a deposit.

It is very different.  If the loan is uncollateralized than it will sink you into debt that is sometimes hard to get out of.  I don't think anyone under any circumstance should take out a loan to gamble.  It might ruin your ability to take out a loan when you really need it for something like a mortgage, car, etc.  If ypu can pay it off fast than just wait until ypu have the money.

If the player did not make a collateral (although, as I understand it, these are rare cases) and lost the bet, then this is equivalent to the appearance of a loan that needs to be repaid. Also not very "unique" situation.
All of these are irrational and ultimately unprofitable, but it may be just what allows players to tickle their nerves and get a shot of adrenaline.

Dembele is going to fill Messi's void at PSG as it seems. This transfer is happening all of a sudden really. I didn't even know whether there was a release clause of Dembele worth 50 million euros until last Monday until PSG made an offer for him. I don't see any update so I hope PSG managed to benefit from that.

Dembele has a really great skillset. If he doesn't have problem any adaptation problem here which I don't expect at all he should be making a significant level of contribution. Mbappe is also likely to stay this season. But I don't know about Neymar's future. If he stays I won't be surprised in case he gets a lasting injury again.

I was also surprised when I found out that the compensation for him is so small - on the other hand, if PSG had not managed to do everything quickly, then the compensation would have grown to 100 million, which is already a serious amount. What really struck me was that Barcelona would only get 50% of that amount - the rest would go to Dembele and his agent. Probably when Barcelona signed a contract with Dembele, they did not think that such a scenario would actually come true.
3170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: August 03, 2023, 09:57:14 AM
Premier league is Number one league in the world, it's very competitive and tensive, every Match is play as final, because any point drop will cost the team.

Premier league is the most watch league in the world, once you play in the premier league, the world will notice you, because of the competition and pattern of play.

Ten Hag knows how competitive the league is because he came, and in his first season, he did well and he will do better next season, with the players he has brought in the squad, he's target should be the title

In fact, it’s not entirely clear why United was successful (relatively, since before the purchase of Casemiro things were going terribly) last season - maybe it was a certain merit of Liverpool and Chelsea which flew out of the top and vacated a place there. In my opinion, Al Nassr will again recruit new players in this transfer window, especially to strengthen their defense. Al Nassr front line is getting stronger if you look at the signings they made in this transfer window. Now the weak point that maybe needs to be stabilized is the defense and I believe this is their last job in this season's transfer window.

One of the defenders who have been successfully brought in by Al Nassr is Alex Telles, who was bought from Manchester United. In addition, there are several names that may have been included in their target in this transfer fee window. So far, Al Nassr has been strong enough compared to the depth of their squad last season.

I think the same. They still have a lot of time - until September 20, and they will definitely have time to make the necessary acquisitions if they have such plans. Given that defenders always have a lower price compared to midfielders and attackers, they definitely have enough resources to strengthen the defensive line (I don’t think it’s worth completely updating it, a couple of point reinforcements are enough).
3172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling experience using loan money on: August 02, 2023, 09:39:23 PM
I knew that there's many topic like this in the past that asking advice about loaning for gambling. The intention of this thread is determined what's the actual feeling when you are using a loan money on gambling knowing that there's an interest rate on your borrowed money which means you already lose part of your money before you start gambling.

I saw many high rank users here that asking for loan and directly deposit the loan amount on gambling account. I want to know what's the experience on using loan money. Is there additional pressure on gameplay or just the same using regular money without an interest rate.

It's an interesting topic, but I don't think we can see any variety of responses here - it seems obvious to me that people are under extra pressure when they play with borrowed money. Naturally, there are some not quite normal people who do not believe that they can lose, so they feel calm until the moment of failure. Interestingly, after such dismal results, PSG management will abandon the idea of marinating Mbappe outside the squad/on the bench (if he is not sold and does not renew the contract). I heard that they are very angry with him and want to leave him without playing practice for a whole year. This will be a circus - the most expensive football player in the world is sitting on a bench, lol! Will PSG dare to make such image losses?
Watching the Paris SG match with Inter milan actually in terms of ball possession Paris SG was better and consistent but still lost control when an Inter player scored the second goal and I agree that actually Paris SG really needs a player like Kylian Mbappe but it's very disappointing when this club is like punish this star player for personal problems or problems with this club.
Can't imagine that in a year's time Mbappe will just sit on the bench and look like an ordinary player and also I'm a little disappointed even though I'm not a Paris SG fan but the management's treatment is very unpleasant and it could be if Kylian really feels unappreciated he will leave club without considering anything

I support Real Madrid and I want Mbappe to move to Real Madrid now. But on the other hand, I really want to look at the development of this conflict - I believe that the stupid owners of PSG will try to "punish" Mbappe by depriving him of playing practice, but it is obvious that this will be a hyper big scandal, since formally the club has the right to do this, but in reality it is will be judged by all as a dirty mean game. The French footballers' union has already condemned PSG for pressuring Mbappe. Imagine what will happen next if they continue like this. I definitely want to watch it  Grin

What do you think about Klopp's whining about the activity of Saudi clubs in the transfer market? He complained that the transfer window in Europe closes mainly on September 1st and in Saudi Arabia on the 20th, and thus the Saudis can take the player and the club will not have time to find a replacement for him. His claim sounds logical, but I see a clear implication here and that the problem is not only in terms. It makes me a little sad to see these hypocritical complaints after suddenly the richest league was in 2nd place and began to experience the same problems that other less rich leagues have long experienced.
3175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not a steady income haven on: August 02, 2023, 09:14:16 PM
In my opinion, everyone who plays gambling will definitely chase victory, no one wants to gamble just for entertainment, of course they want to win in their gambling. It would be quite naive to say that gambling is not the pursuit of victory, that's wrong, we are all gamblers chasing victory. All that needs to be changed is our perception of it, we should be able to think rationally and not go crazy when we lose. Emotional mastery and logical thinking like this is what gamblers need so they don't go crazy in their gambling.

But how do you explain the fact that many gamblers are well aware that gambling is unprofitable but continue to play? Let's say some of them are addicted and they can't stop, let's say another part is stupid and cannot conclude that it's time to stop unprofitable activities. But why don't you allow the possibility that another part is playing just for fun?
3176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Collective bets in local lotteries on: August 02, 2023, 06:42:29 PM
Brazil can be the example of such types of bets but I don't think this strategy is very prevalent elsewhere. As winning the lottery is a matter of luck. Also, if there is a lottery at the national level, there is a very small chance that even if the lottery is purchased at the collective level, personally I will not prefer it. This can be done if it seems profitable according to the lottery prize and lottery quantity. If you win in this case, everyone can be benefited. The joy of winning the lottery in a collective way is not the same as the joy of winning the lottery individually.

3177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: August 02, 2023, 06:38:03 PM
Xavi has prepared the team to bring Barcelona to compete with other big clubs from different leagues, this time the toughest competition will come from the premier league team, Manchester City, Arsenal and Manchester United are the three teams that will give their best performances to survive in this competition. Newcastle also cannot be underestimated, Newcastle's performance last season was very good, they managed to outperform other teams such as Liverpool and Tottenham to secure a ticket to the Champions League.
Barcelona appeared in the UCL this season as the La Liga champions, they must perform optimally in order to maintain the chances of achieving their goal of winning the Champions League this season.

The only thing that should please the fans of Barcelona is that they are in the first pot and, firstly, they will receive a couple of weak opponents (with a high probability) and, secondly, they will not play in the group stage with Bayern  Grin Otherwise, nothing has changed and not only English clubs will be a great danger to Barcelona - in fact even average teams will have a chance to knock it out.
3178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: August 02, 2023, 06:27:55 PM

It was quite an enjoyable match. PSG has a lot of weaknesses inside it's pretty clear. However, PSG's gameplay is stabilizing somewhat due to Luis Enrique's match strategy.

PSG needs experienced players in attack. This is PSG's main weakness at the moment. We still don't know which players Enrique is considering as replacements for Messi and Mbappe. On the other hand, even though PSG's defense has experienced players, their performance is not good. Luis Enrique needs to work more on PSG's defense. I think Luis Enrique will add new players to PSG's attack and midfield soon.
Despite PSG's defeat, Tader's gameplay has seen some improvement. In the previous match, they lost 3-2 against Japanese team Cerezo Osaka.

Interestingly, after such dismal results, PSG management will abandon the idea of marinating Mbappe outside the squad/on the bench (if he is not sold and does not renew the contract). I heard that they are very angry with him and want to leave him without playing practice for a whole year. 3179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 02, 2023, 06:18:03 PM
In Bavaria, he was getting 25 million a year before taxes, and in Al Nasr he will get 40 million a year after taxes. In terms of money, a perfect decision, but it's hard to see how the career of a football player who was the second contender for the Ballon d'or in just two years went downhill. But the way the Saudis are getting stronger continues to please me.
Mane's performance has declined after he left Liverpool and money is clearly a benchmark more when it is difficult to compete and cannot go anywhere after at Bayern is not wanted and does not see any club that dares to take him except the Arab club so going there is the best thing.
Even if Mane is aware that the conditions in his career will not be the same again but it will not matter when money talks Cheesy
btw talking about Arab clubs now seems to be more interesting with so many players who are there.
Although the competition and the game will not be the same but with some big players joining this season of course this will also be a greater attraction for Arab clubs.

Tuchel did not see Mane as a player of the first squad, so this transition is justified. And by the way, no one will accuse Mane of greed - as far as I remember, he donated a significant part of his salary to improve life in his village where he comes from. Given the poverty of Senegal, this was very significant, now after quadrupling his salary, he will be able to donate more (if he wants).
3180  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: August 02, 2023, 06:11:32 PM
Erling Haaland is a very talented player and he has come from a team that does not participate in most of the World Cup tournaments. Without talent, it is not easy for a team like this to perform for a club in Europe's top tier and win the Champions League trophy.
Erling Haaland's career has just begun and good things await him in the future. If Manchester City keep him in the team long term he will be more efficient especially if he can play under Pep then Pep will make him one of the best players in Europe and he will be a world class footballer.

The next generation of Messi, Neymar, and Ronaldo might be made up of players like Mbappe and Erling Haaland.

I do not think that the fact that Haaland from the Norwegian national team somehow weakened / strengthened his opportunities at the club level. For the development of a player, the national team does not matter - if you play poorly, then you will not get into the national team of even a weak country, and if you play strong, then you will always have chances (a bunch of competitions for national teams of different ages).
