I saw this intriguing story on a guy who got free NEM when it was launched in 2014 and sold them then bought back at 20 times more price and be very happy, lol. Hope this will happen to ONION. I am not hyping here, just saw this and wanted to share with you. Use your own judgement on DeepOnion  I'm new as well but the way I understand it is: an air drop is free coin given out by the developers of a coin as a mean of releasing it too as many people as possible before it goes on an exchange or is released to the general public through mining or other means. They do this to spread awareness of the coin and their concept. It varies from coin to coin. Someone else may have a better answer.
That's a pretty good explanation. In some cases established coins may do an airdrop as well (such as the recent Byteball and Stellar airdrops) as part of their publicity campaign. It's a nice bonus when you can get free coins if you have the patiences to HODL them. Here's an example: When NEM (New Economy Movement) launched in 2014 I signed up for an initial distribution and got 10,000 free NEM. Being the short-sighted bloke that I am, I noticed that it was already trading on Poloniex and that I could get a whole 50 cents for them! Whee! So I promptly sold them and patted myself on the back for the free pocket change. I mean, with a weird name like that how could it ever catch on? Fast-forward to 2016 and one day I noticed that NEM had clawed its way onto the Top 100 chart at Coinmarketcap. Hmm. My 10,000 NEM were now worth $10. Did I dare buy back in and hope for further gains, or would I just wind up wiping out that 50 cent profit by losing a couple bucks if it deflated? After studying it a little more, I bought my 10,000 NEM back. Then late this spring I sold them again for over $2,000. So I missed on the rise from 50 cents to $10, but thankfully I got to ride the rest of the wave. Let that be a lesson in HODLING! The story is inspiring. And what do we wish? We wish ONIONs will inspire more in the future. The lesson is that we should HODL. It's for our own good for a better future. Nice story you shared with us @fisheater Like they say, Patience is a Virtue. Rewards are being reaped for those who wait. A lot had made those mistakes in Crypto world. Yes. Several wallets in NovaExchange are affected due to storage switch failure. It is expected to be resolved soon. So we just have to wait for them to fix it. Is Proof of Stake already working on this coin? I have coins I bought at NovaEx that I want to transfer on my desktop wallet but I dont know if there will be any implication on the 90% rule of airdrop if I transfer the coins on exchange to the wallet with the same wallet.dat as the airdrop address. Or should I make different wallet.dat for exchange origin coins or can I just generate another address from the receive tab on the same wallet.dat. What if later I want to transfer some coins to exchange. Where will the wallet pick it from?
Only coins received from airdrop have 90% rule. The coins you bought, mined, or obtainmed from bounty or other giveaways are freely tradable, there's no limitations there. Yes the PoS works fine. I am staking every day |

Will require minimum member level and also we will review accounts before accepting to the Airdrops. Good new rules, I guess the intention is to reduce the fraud. I saw you have a post here, so I quote my reply to you in the other thread here. What a joke, another pretend-expert tries to give false information. I suggest you to better understand the altcoin history before give out shits like this, to fool people (and yourself). BitcoinPlus is not from BlackCoin, not at all. Let me tell you the history: BitcoinPlus is based on a coin called BritCoin, and BritCoin is based on BoostCoin. BoostCoin is the first one combining X13 and PoS, but it is not the one first with TOR integration. I'll leave you to find out which coin has the first integrated TOR. Blackcoin does not have TOR integration, instead it has blacksend which BitcoinPlus does not have. BitcoinPlus wanted to rebase on BlackCoin first, then mammix2 who is the BoostCoin dev rebased BitCoinPlus with BritCoin which itself derived from BoostCoin. Also, many features from DeepOnion are not from MammothCoin at all. 6 months before MammothCoin all these tech are used in another coin (again do your own reserach, novice!). So your diagram is completely wrong, do more research and do a better work that can give yourself a better credit. I am sure DeepOnion's dev is laughing hard at this currypto guy. I think we should wait a few weeks or maybe a month for the coin to mature, but we should probably look at getting listed on bittrex if we wanted to be taken seriously.
This is an intresting and very important point. If deeponion wants to be a big player deeponion needs to be traded at serious platforms. Maybe first step cryptopia and second step should be buttrex Cryptopia is easy. Just buy the DOT and they'll list it. Bittrex has misplaced priorities lately. I can think of a large handful of newer coins (obviously including ONION) with established new tech and communities that deserve to be on Bittrex, while they keep adding ETH tokens with no tech. Cryptopia no better than novaexchange. Nova is pretty good in my opinion. Next target is Bittrex, anyone knows how to apply for it? |
