did you disabled proof of stake ? can some explain me why I stop receive reward incentive, in my wallet above 10k, and I got already few time ~8vnl, but now third day without reward and after I check console saw:

If you closed and reopened the client, you have to unlock your wallet for up to 15 minutes until the network recognizes your collateral. Then, you can lock it again. but my wallet always unlocked, and staked rewards I receive. probably this is the problem, I check my wallet-version 0.3.9(strange,because fresh install week ago), so how I can disable proof of stake? update to 4.0 rc3... How can you tell the version number? I also download the latest wallet from the vanillacoin website and when I run the wallet it crashes. If I remove my wallet it run fine. When I put my wallet.dat file back the wallet crashes. Your wallet.dat could be corrupt. Did you try a backup? IW |

Hi. Please post this question in Staisybit thread too, i will copy/paste the reply there. This will help others with same question. Thank you. Shares are based on the weight that the user is able to earn keeping his coins on our system. The weight is a mix between user's average funds and the time he has kept those funds on Staisybit. In this way, we can take into consideration not only the deposits, but also the withdrawals (which decrease the weight), also considering the time, which rewards users for the fact that they keep coins on our wallet (which is, by the way, the same the normally a PoS wallet does when calculating user weight in network). I have also implemented a system to adjust, in medium/long term, the weight of big holders, ensuring to the small holders to have always a chance to get shares even when big holders have kept their (big) deposits on Staisybit for long time (hence having accumulated much much weight). The math above is able to take into consideration not just the deposits, but also the withdrawals, and always considering the time you kept a certain balance in our system too; we give importance to the time because, as you know, time matter in PoS coins under the name of "weight" or "coinage". Recently, an user raised a problem of this system: Problem: if an user deposit large amounts and keep them there for long time, small users won't have enough weight to even get 0.01% of the shares. Solution: users whom have more than 20% of total Staisybit funds for a certain coin, will see the weight of the time decrease slowly within 365 days. What does this mean? This mean that i created a function that decrease the weight of the time until 0.4% in 365 days. In other words, users with very high % of funds will end up having their weight calculated almost only by their funds, no matter the time, in 365 days. I know it's a bit hard to explain on the paper, feel free to ask more if something is not clear. The amount of work put into making a fair system is impressive. I would be careful of cryptsy. I've had issues with them that has included a freezing of my account due supposedly to their no dealing business with new york residents (me). However, I think they're insolvent and is another mt gox waiting to happen. They happily take your deposited money but refuse to let you withdraw. That's a red flag, as always. I'm using bittrex to buy my xqn. Just FYI for future. Hi, this is why we stopped deposit at cryptsy awhile back ago. We have nothing stuck there since i already watched the issue from more than a month. All coins are safe, thats why we initiated our OTC thread, to try and get more direct trading. Hi
Totaly new to the crypto currency ting. Been mining Bytecent for about one month, but thought I'd try somthing new with PoS. Been mining Fantom with a A8-5600K @4.0GHz under Ubuntu, and are gaining about 200 FNX a day. Tryed to open my wallet for PoS about 24 hours ago, but it does not seem that i get any coins dooing that, stuck on; "about one hour til stake", for about 23 hours (should get som intreset or somthing, maybe i have missunderstood the PoS setup). Do I need to configure some .conf file for the PoS to run properly?
I also have a good feeling about this coin and I'm not gooing to sell out as son as posible. I'm in it for a long period
Hi, you will need to leave your wallet open for staking. The coins you have mined, start to stake after a set time of maturing, how fast they stake is depending on network pos difficulty. Each block(input) in your wallet act as a miner, if the miner has to litle power(small block size) it will take very long to stake. The block reward is now 5FNx, so i asume you got lots of blocks with that size. The longer you keep your wallet open, the bigger chance to get a stake. Once a block stakes, the cycle starts over. IW But can you mine and stake at the same time? and if i transfer FNX i made on my Gamer, does that allso help staking "power" or is it yust the currency I have created on the local wallet that will stake? Yes, you can mine and stake at same time. Where you mined it is irelevant, but if you transfer coins you lose their coin age and the cycle starts over in new wallet. To increase the "power" combine your blocks to bigger inputs in coin controll.
