Biggest daily volume on BTER already, time to grab some XCP while they're cheap...
322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XCP] Counterparty - Pioneering Peer-to-Peer Finance - Official Thread on: July 28, 2014, 08:42:08 PM
Why is crashing so hard the xcp value? on bter it went down like 30% in one day already.

No real volume though
323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SWARM] Swarm - Cryptoequity Crowdfunding - Official Thread on: July 25, 2014, 07:25:08 PM

This is confusing to say the least, the rules are everchanging... I would be nice to state what will happen in the future and commit to the plan

Good point, but the asset burning feature didn't exist until recently so we couldn't include it in the plan. With any rapidly evolving technology set it's a bit difficult to have a single plan that we stick to. Among other things that's why we have open discussion and voting mechanisms for anything that isn't clear cut.  In this case, it might make sense to lock (or even burn) part of the Swarm reserves as well until the future fundraiser. I'll discuss that with the team, but it makes sense to me to have some kind of locking mechanism.

Ok, glad to hear you're open to discuss it.

Keep in mind that for the early backers (those who takes the biggest risk) being diluted by almost 10 times is a bit scary when compared to be diluted by 4 (what was initially planned)

If you destroy 60.000.000 coins
keep 3,500,000 as reserve
distribute 9,587,746 SWARMPRE
"lock" the rest (approx 26,500,000) for future rounds of funding

you would keep the same proportion

Actually, I don't see a big difference between the reserve and the locked SWARM, since a future round of successful operation would be like selling "owned" stocks of a company. I think if you distribute on 1st of August 24% of the total SWARM, early back will have what they've been promised and you will be beyond reproach

324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SWARM] Swarm - Cryptoequity Crowdfunding - Official Thread on: July 25, 2014, 06:44:54 PM

Looks like we sold about 9,587,746 SWARMPRE, so that's how many SWARM will be distributed. The remainder of 14,412,254 will be burned. As for future rounds, there is no immediate plan to do one and we will only consider doing so once we have a prototype platform that has some initial traction and needs more funding to scale.

Ok, but don't forget

How much SWARM will be in limbo for "future rounds of funding" ?

68,000,000

How much SWARM will "Swarm Reserve" be ?

8,000,000

So I guess

9,587,746 SWARM distributed
8,000,000 SWARM in Swarm Reserve
68,000,000 SWARM in limbo ?

or the 68,000,000 will be destroyed too ?

also, you stated that

IIRC, 24,000,000 SWARM will be divided proportionally between the SWARMPRE holders at the end of the fundraise (20th July)

If 4500 SWARMPRE are sold, every SWARMPRE will yield 1 SWARM. Currently (33% raised) 1 SWARMPRE will yield 3 SWARM

Correct. We haven't made any specific promises with respect to our giveback model since, among other things, it is legally problematic. Generally speaking we encourage people to think of the first iteration of Swarm as a crypto-kickstarter with some cool perks of not particularly clear monetary value rather than an investment.

So basically, the SWARM are not divided proportionally, you get 8,000,000 for the reserves (which is proportionally three times what it should have been) and there are 68,000,000 SWARM in limbo (more than 7 times the SWARM that will be distributed while it should have been a bit less than 3 times)

This is confusing to say the least, the rules are everchanging... I would be nice to state what will happen in the future and commit to the plan

Do you have an ETA for

- first platform prototype (already in beta?)

-SWARM distribution to SWARMPRE holders

Answer please?
326  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] SCRYPT 4 GH/s hosted scrypt mining project by CRYPTX on: July 24, 2014, 07:40:25 AM
So, we do have an opportunity here.

- Keep the reinvestment % as it is now.
- Every week, Cryptx places a buy order on havelock for all available mined btc of the week, at that day market price.
- All purchased shares get destroyed and taken out of the market.

Short term benefits:
1. Less shares means more mining power per share.
2. Less shares means more dividends per share.
3. Less shares on the market means more demand for a good product/investment.
4. Weekly purchase/buy orders means less volatility of the share price.
5. Weekly purchase/buy orders means more opportunity to cash out from investors who prefer to leave.

Long term benefits:
1. Cryptx re-buys all available shares and can fade out this project naturally.
2. No need to buy/sell mining machines. Hashing power per share increases every week.

Cons:
1. ...it is a long term dead sentence for this project.
2. Huh

Some numbers:
Last week we increased our reinvestment fund for 8.768 BTC. At current market price it means 1250 shares that means 4.3% of all available shares.
The whole reivenstment fund (total) is currently at 68.72 BTC. At current market price it means 9800 shares that means 33% of all available shares.

"If":
A- if no one wants to sell their shares at current market value, instead of holding our reinvestment fund somewhere, doing nothing, there will be a buy order on havelock (wall).
B- if the share price increases (!?) next week reinvestment fund will create a new buy order at a higher price (higher wall, backed up by the previous one).
C- 33% means increasing immediately our dividend, hashing power per share, by the same percentage (not counting the difficulty increase of alt currencies we do mine).
D- Spot decisions could be made with voting to remove old buy orders from havelock and use those funds to purchase more machines or place a new buy order ath the new market price (or even to distribute those funds to shareholders).

Please let me know if you find more cons (for sure there are, but I cannot think about them now... ).

cheers!

Basically, you are forced to buy shares with your money... no no no

I repeat, the best method is : Dividend 100% reinvest 0% (and the share price might even increase after that)

The only question is how we distribute the current fund... I say we distribute it evenly between the shareholders during the next 10 weeks to avoid big movements.
327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Storj - Decentralized Storage on: July 23, 2014, 04:30:39 PM
In Counterwallet there are sales/purchase orders of SJCX with BTC.

Is there a problem to buy or sell before the end of the Crowdsale?

Can I mix the SCJX gained in Crowdsale with the purchased in Counterwallet?

Actually, nothing prevents you buying the SJCX on counterwallet if the price is better. Maybe someone wants to sell at a loss...

330  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] SCRYPT 4 GH/s hosted scrypt mining project by CRYPTX on: July 22, 2014, 06:28:11 PM

Nah better good Reinvestments ! GOOD Ones.. are they really pros? Why buy this overpriced A2 Miners?

There are plenty companies giving better miners for less money + we have a strong buying power with 100 BTC

Contact for example Gawminers and get some Warmachines for half of the price than A2 ... ! Or wait for Vaultbreaker or wait buy KNC whatever but A2 overpriced? Really you can throw out our Reinvestment fund out of the window...

But yeah here is no dialog with Scrypt X and I really thing Scrypt X should invest 5 BTC in a Community Manager to get this thing going up again.

Cheers

If you distribute 100%, one can exit this "share" without losing the money that is stuck in the reinvest fund...

If you keep this fund running, it's just money sitting there... and what if you don't want to reinvest ? You cant. What if you ant to sell your share without losing your reinvestment part ? You can't... You're just stuck with a non communicating entity (notice how they don't even tell us how much LTC were mined in the last update... just when the LTC/BTC ratio was rising again...)
331  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] SCRYPT 4 GH/s hosted scrypt mining project by CRYPTX on: July 22, 2014, 11:08:03 AM
Litecoin was also victimized by the multipools, but it appears to be finding solid footing again and its likely it will follow btc on the next bubble.

So, we know something new from Cryptx? Any reinvestment? Is our reinvestment fund sitting there doing nothing? Can't we use it to purchase cheap shares and get them out of the total amount of avilable shares (increasing div)?

IMO the divs should be 100%, and the current fund should be divided among the shareholders
332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XCP] Counterparty - Pioneering Peer-to-Peer Finance - Official Thread on: July 21, 2014, 09:23:34 PM
Hi guys, we've put a preview of the upcoming version (1.4.0) on https://cw03.counterwallet.co/ ... feel free to log in and give it a spin. Please report any bugs you find on the forums, on the skype chat, or to our github bug tracker.

Specifically, the main new functionality is the new dex (under Exchange) and the offline armory signing feature (under Create New Address...a tutorial for this will be forthcoming before release).

Please note that your preferences may not all show up correctly on this server, as it's running an older version of user preferences, as it's just for test. If you use an existing wallet, just ignore it if your addresses are named the old names, or not all of your addresses show by default (you can just click on Create New Address to add the rest of them). Changes to either address names or # of addresses created here will not affect your changes on the production counterwallet.co

EDIT: Also, please avoid being logged into the same wallet account on both this server and the production server, if you are making dex orders of any kind. This is to avoid any automatic BTCPays from happening multiple times.

Excellent work ! A small suggestion, since you the protocol doesn't allow lowercase assets, maybe the field in the DEX should uppercase every input ?
333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Storj - Decentralized Storage on: July 19, 2014, 11:16:10 AM
So basically, once the IPO is over, those who participated can start selling their HD space? I can basically buy a few external HDs and allocate the space to the Storj network?

Bought some StorjX today, works perfecty !
334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Storj - Decentralized Storage on: July 18, 2014, 02:42:56 PM
I want to buy storj but not use the counterwallet, is it possible?

You'll need counterwallet to access your SJCX.

But if you want to buy today, you can use a regular bitcoin address you own and access the SJCX later with whatever counterparty wallet by importing/sweeping its privkey. Just send the BTC with you regular address to the crowdsale address.
335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SWARM] Swarm - Cryptoequity Crowdfunding - Official Thread on: July 18, 2014, 02:38:54 PM
i don't understand xcp exchange Cheesy i tried to fill my whole order there and had only half going through (i set it up for 6000swarmpre/btc if i remember well); so i purchased the other half on swarmcorp. well at least i made that btc count go higher Cheesy

XCP exchange is quite confusing. The devs are aware of that but they're always updating the protocol and wallet, so it shouldn't take long before it's fixed. Also, basically all the prices should be displayed in reverse (like in every centralized exchange)
336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SWARM] Swarm - Cryptoequity Crowdfunding - Official Thread on: July 18, 2014, 01:10:12 PM
I don't know how much swarm there is for sale (since I can't really understand the market's order book at counterparty.co), but I've purchased half of my swarm at more than 7000swarm per BTC from counterparty.co..  which is about ~30% cheaper than buying directly from swarmcorp.com.

Code:
a9e13	a day ago	0.00225225 XCP/SWARMPRE	888 XCP 100%	20,000 SWARMPRE 100%	In 725 blocks
80751 about 24 hours ago 0.0022 XCP/SWARMPRE 495.55555556 XCP 99% 11,199.55555566 SWARMPRE 99% In 805 blocks
12801 about 7 hours ago 22.50541437 XCP/SWARMPRE 22.2574 XCP 100% 500.9120098 SWARMPRE 100% In 923 blocks

Code:
cc046	about 15 hours ago	0.0803133 BTC/SWARMPRE	0.10755616 BTC 100%	0.00863819 SWARMPRE 100%	In 882 blocks	0.00107558 BTC 100%
b6806 7 days ago 0.6 BTC/SWARMPRE 3.3125 BTC 95% 20,111.60714286 SWARMPRE 95% In 1861 blocks 0.001 BTC

Price display is wrong in counterwallet, wtf, it's actually 22,5225 SWARMPRE/XCP and not 0.00225225 XCP/SWARMPRE

in XCP : approx 31200 SWARMPRE for 1383 XCP, or 5.532 BTC at 0.004 XCP/BTC rate = 5639,91 SWARMPRE/BTC (in XCP)

in BTC : 20111 SWARMPRE for 3.3125 = 6071 SWARMPRE/BTC

Last time I've checked, crowdsale rate was around 5140 SWARMPRE/BTC

Also note that if you purchase via the crwodsale, you are "diluting" the future SWARM to be distributed (you'll get more SWARM/SWARMPRE if you purchase via counterwallet)

337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SWARM] Swarm - Cryptoequity Crowdfunding - Official Thread on: July 17, 2014, 05:53:33 PM

How..  can you know?   I don't know what I'm looking at..   Where do I look to see the market prices ?

You can see the orders in Bulk here http://blockscan.com/order.aspx?f=2

But you'll see the market more clearly in counterwallet (buy/sell) and enter for BTC/SWARM & XCP/SWARM markets

Bug in bet slider under chrome

Very odd. This is a known bug in the styling but it has been fixed yesterday. Could you try refreshing using Shift+F5?
If the bug still is there, I would like to know what operating system you're on, and the exact chrome version (see menu->About Chrome).

ok, it's working now, thanks
