What are you guys thinking about the BTC price rising ? I'm following the news and I'm pretty sure myself the BTC hasn't reached the top yet.
This question has a following: Does this rise will impact the Alt and specially the DGB more than we could expect ?
BTC is the father, LTC / DOGE / etc are nothing more but scamcoins. DGB have a goal, a serious team, and a friendly community, except Myraidcoin xD
How ever, I'm holding many millions of DGB today. I'm gonna hold it till my faith is gone. But I would like the dev to talk more to us about this part of market. I would like them to explain how they will avoid the BTC .../ and the DGB .....\ .
I believe in DGB. I've seen it way lower than this when I started to invest. But still, I would like people to explain their thought about BTC-DGB market if the BTC fly to the moon like we all hope.

There has been a lot of talk over the past few weeks about the price decline. I think that many people are using their individual short-term trading mistakes as a reason to suggest that there is a problem with DigiByte.
DigiByte has had a fantastic year. Let's look at the facts:
Over the past 12 months, the DGB market cap has increased from $138,423 (at the beginning of 2015) to $912,837 (today). That is a 559% increase in market cap over the past 12 months.
By way of comparison. The BTC market cap has increased approximately 65% over the year. LTC has had a good year; the market cap for LTC has increased 130% over the past 12 months. Dash has had a pretty good year; the DASH market cap has gone from $8,398,731 to $14,801,837; that is a 76% increase. XMR (Monero) is up almost 90% in market cap for the year. DOGE has had a hard year, they are down about 11% for the year. Ripple is down about 55% in market cap for the past 12 months. Etherium is down about 21% in market cap from mid-summer (release) to today.
We could keep going (I honestly got a bit bored doing the math for other coins) but the point is clear. DGB's 559% increase in market cap is one of the most successful of the past 12 months.
Our exchange ratios are also up. The liquidity (volume/price daily) is looking good and the average volumes are keeping pace with the increase in market cap.
Over the past 12 months DigiByte has released multiple wallets for Android. DGB also released an iOS wallet (today that wallet is getting updated for version 4.0.3). And, DGB released the chrome browser extension wallet.
Over the past 12 months DigiByte has developed and introduced three major new services DigiByteTip (beta), DigiByte Gaming, and DigiByte Market. All three of those services are still growing and developing and they will continue to get updated and developed over the next 12 months.
Over the past 12 months DigiByte also collaborated with TofuGear to release the omnichannel retail platform, which is a huge leap forward for bringing the internet-of-things into the retail environment.
And, in addition to all of the above, DigiByte developed and released DigiSpeed. Some people have asked recently about why DigiSpeed was necessary. I would answer that DigiSpeed is not about yesterday or today. DigiSpeed is about tomorrow. It provides the capacity to scale the DGB network in the future as the existing services grow and as we add and develop new services.

Read back over all of that ... it's not surprising at all that the DGB market cap has increased 559% during the same time. DigiByte has significantly increased the underlying value of the services and network over the past 12 months.
I would challenge anyone to give me an example of a digital currency that has accomplished the same amount in the past 12 months.

It is very possible that DGB is one of the many altcoins that people are buying to try and get out of Cryptsy, since because there is a problem with withdrawing BTC. This is why we are seeing the huge price difference between Cryptsy and the other exchanges. they have to buy a lot (usually >1 million), exchanging BTC for DGB, withdraw them and then quickly sell them off on other exchanges to get back BTC but at a loss. Easily one of the reasons why we have been witnessing several dumps (between 10-40 millions) happening on Poloniex for the past 1 month. if this is the cause of price going down and had Cryptsy not run into any withdrawal problems, DGB would still be around >70sat. Anyway, Cryptsy has been in this state for way too long, to the point that i feel like adding it to one of my "Trading Tips" to tell people to stay away from Cryptsy. Just looks like a mass exodus for DGB at this moment in time something has gone very wrong...sell orders are staking up on Poloniex & its only set to get worse...shorter block times & half rewards may not be the best way forward at this time well at least a lot of so called investors seem to think so...lets hope the NEW gift for DGB is going to be something worth singing about this Sunday
No, this is the typical altcoin market scene, and trader panic. This shit is so predictable. not forgetting Periodical Whale Dumping. usually in amounts of 10-40 millions of DGB all at once. just look 1 month back on poloniex. it has been happening for several times already. the whale can be a mega powerhouse miner selling it off or a whale manipulating the market. People who dunno a lot about trading (or rather Crypto Trading), you are gonna be pretty lost and confused, especially if your trading strategy is weak and don't have enough capital (you should be fine if you have 1BTC to trade in DGB while its below 100SAT). but for me, whatever goes. just go somewhere - price up, i gain. price down, i also gain. the only time i don't gain is when there is absolutely no movement. And this is EXACTLY the kind of thing that i don't really like, even though i know its the norm. Which is why people have to learn the ropes of Crypto-Trading for now. not sure about the future when exchanges becomes more regulated which i guess the price will be too. DGB is doing very well...but the price is putting off many people, be it majority or minority. There is nothing much one can do when up against a whale. whale = buying/selling power = control market price. You just need to learn and adapt to the movements of the whale. What is going on here first we get the hard fork & then we get a 24 million hard dump on Poloniex....yes i know Bitcoin is going up but i am certain this has nothing to do with it...just seems to be far to much DGB out there for the price to rise anytime soon...just saying.

Or buy lower. When there is an hardfork, there is always doubt. So the price have a lot of chance to go down. Specialy when price wall already on a down trend. Surely this is mass manipulation were seeing on exchanges at the moment. You mean price is artifically high now or artifically low? Low, i understand that all alt prices take a hit when BTC pumps, but it seems strange that a coin as developed as this, with a big supportive community, a brilliant marketplace and actually better tech behind it has such a low marketcap and low support throughout the exchanges. It has to be manipulation.. First we feared overheating hardware, then we feared scam exchanges, then we feared profit switching pools, then we feared ASICs. My next candidate to be feared from, is the extend use of trading bots. Today you can buy (in some cases rent) a trading bot service or software for a period of time, and in theory you can make profit without knowing anything, or very basic things about altcoins. It absolutely does not matter which coin is good, which is bad. So in my opinion altcoin world is just living its current phase, where mining is less popular, and trading is getting more popular. I don't know where it evolves next, but DGB is simply the best. How's everybody doing? it's been sometime since my last post. To the new people who just got to know about DigiByte, Welcome to the DigiByte Scene !! And not a moment too late to get on board too!  Looks like DigiSpeed is around the corner! BUT I will say that something needs to be done to stop the manipulator dropping the price further my guess is hes doing it or they are doing it to sweep up as much DGB on the cheap as possible...by allowing it to continue you are allowing bad hands to hold a large amount of coins...trust me that is not a very good situation to be in...especially if its to hold & dump

Be the strategy. This is a test of nerve perhaps. Many people that have DigiByte, simply do not care about it for any other purpose than to profit out of buying and selling it. The price has no importance to them, all that matters is that they buy low and sell higher and of course this is trading and is completely normal. It is all very well saying don’t sell under a certain value and I’m sure if enough community members decided not to, the price would increase as long as they bought up what was being sold by other people that were prepared to sell and I know there will always be these people because that is what traders do. Anyway when and if we reached 100 sat again the whole cycle would just end up repeating, it is the nature of the beast because people would think to themselves ‘Hey there is going to be loads of people selling at 100 so I’ll sell at 99 because I will still make a reasonable profit and I’ll get in first. Someone else would sell at 98 and so on and so on. The most important thing people can do probably as a community trying to protect the value of their investment is not let the price fall below a certain value by buying it up because as long as people can sell it for less than they paid for it they are going to, get your bitcoin into a supporting position. There is no magic bullet here, it will be a roller coaster of a ride but eventually the price that people bought in will rise simply because traders do sell for more than they pay and this is what genuinely increases value in crypto. Holding your DigiByte and thinking of it as a long term investment, perhaps safely putting your stash in cold storage and taking a year or two out is the least stressful thing to do for you and your investment while you let it grow naturally over time as the traders do their thing. Some people will give up or need to liquidate their investments for other reasons and sell at a loss and this is really the only thing that can damage your investment from a markets point of view if it happens to enough of them. To help DigiByte along, you should try to introduce new people to it and help increase the take up and this will help make the whole process move faster, so get involved with the community and help propagate DigiByte into the real world for real people and don’t worry about what the price is now.  yeap. nothing much we can do as it all ends up being an individual's role to play at the end of the day. the most is we help to calm those nerves with sensible logic. the only thing i never like is someone got in early, got everything done right with researching and stuff, and then only to lose it all on a whim because of some sudden strong irregular market/price movements.
