If this is still going on, Put me down. I'm interested in 1 or 2 depending on price. Thanks.

Bitmadrid hasn't been active on this forum since July 24th, and this was never an organized group buy in my mind. Sponds are selling SP30s for September delivery at a reasonable price.

Move On ... nothing to see here ...

Wa whoooooooooooooooooooooo.

We found a block.

I hope that dose not happen again!
 Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

It will happen again, but hopefully not soon ... The world of unpredictable BTC mining ... but things DO average out over time. Being patient is the trick  Wink

323  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 09, 2014, 05:52:16 PM
Thanks Collider, already done ... I await a response from them.

EDIT: In true Spondoolies fashion, I have received a quick reply from Guy who has confirmed they will replace the PSU and send it directly to the DC. They even want the burnt out one back so they can analyse it.

Thank you again Spondoolies for an excellent service, I have nothing but praise for the timely support I have received today, and in the past.

If within 3 months from buying they will send you a new PSU for free (to the DC).

I was hoping this would be the case, Spondoolies shipped my orders on 13th May so all should be OK.

325  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 09, 2014, 04:54:26 PM

One of my SP10s which is hosted in Iceland is unfortunately down, as the PSU has burnt out. It went down a couple of days ago, at first I could still access the miner, but couldn't get it to start mining again. Remo from Spondoolies kindly had a look for me and confirmed the voltages weren't right which is why it wouldn't mine. After a couple of hard resets, things were no better.

The last reset was a reset too far, and the tech emailed me saying: "There is definitely something wrong with the power supply i think it has burned out. I unpluged the server and plugged it back in and then a strange smell and a little smoke from the server, so i have unplugged it for now".

They even emailed me a picture which I thought was quite good of them.

Anyway ... has anybody else had a PSU go down? I'm not sure how to proceed, but await to see what advice Spondoolies give.

Anyone else with a Aug batch order have it showing as "Restocked" now ? previously it was listed as Unfulfilled

My orders only show as 'restocked' because I changed the delivery details to a DC.

327  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 【SOLD OUT】The last Batch of AntMiner S2 1TH/s Miner, Now $1595 per unit on: August 03, 2014, 08:50:22 PM
Bitmain,  any updates on the S2 upgrade option as discussed? A lot of us have paid a high amount of BTC/GHs for these, (at least I) with the understanding we will have options to increase hashing power very soon.

Right now the S3 is their priority ... as their online advert says "The S3 is selling like hot cakes". They are making big time right now on just one product.

I'm sure they will at some time bring S2 updates out, but I wonder if you would make ROI after including the initial purchase price ... and maybe you would need to purchase a better PSU to raise an S2 to 2TH/s+ ??. The S4 (or whatever it gets called) might be interesting, but I've decided to sell my S2's and wait. Somehow it feels safer, hopefully keeping ahead of the difficulty curve.

AMT offering 4U/2U and 1U A1/A2 miners.

Looks like spamming to me ... WARNING don't entertain AMT in your life.

Sorry i meant 3 x S3s...

Thanks for your update, I thought it would be OK.

Is anybody running three S3's from a Corsair AX1200i without problems (not overclocked) ?

Just wondering if this will be OK, I have the offer of a cheap one from a friend.

Guy has got y'all wound up now ...

7.4th -> 2250w -> OMG ! Shipping NOW

Then option #1 and option #2 are for what we still need to pay SP Smiley be careful what you chose Cheesy

Option 1: Receive a fund (in whatever form they feel fit) ... and will be vigorously discussed on this forum.

Option 2: Opt to have your miner delivery delayed ... until true 6Th+ machines are available at a later date.

Just an idea ... OH! the speculation ... we all wait  Cheesy

When I ordered my miners I had only 1 hour to pay...not sure why it is any different in reverse.

That's a fair point, and Bitmain have so many BTC in their wallet.

A thread that has not seen life for a while : Bitmain is looking for bulk Bitcoin buyers

Requirements: 1,000 Bitcoin is the minimum volume in a single trade.

I also flashed my 2 S3s today, one remains at a constant 441GHs as it was before, the other has dipped to 436Ghs (from 441). Not a lot of difference but I don't understand why the firmware upgrade would do that. Readings taken after 6 hours after upgrade.

They will deliver on time and on spec.  You can take that uncertainty out of the equation.

I have faith in Sponds as well, but 'in time and on spec.' is a little bold given Guys' prompt revelation ... on time yes, they have promised that ... but the issue they have is the hash rate, it looks like it won't be as advertised and that is what we are all waiting patiently to hear about.

They will of course, have been burning the midnight oil for a few days thrashing this one out, and trying so many different things to max the SP30 with the chips they have received.

Okay. Need feedback on all aspects of the new system please.

Nice job, I like it. Easy to read and well laid out. Thanks for your continued work on this thread, many find it very useful.

It's because there have only been 2 blocks found in the last hour... same boat... will be all good.

https://blockchain.info/

YEP, Bitmain are famous for connecting orders and payments together ... even if your Bitmain account says 'Invalid, Expired' ... give them time.

@JP ... not a good comment.

337  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: July 24, 2014, 08:06:03 PM
Lots of people got their coupons, but has ANYONE received their refund? I got the auto email response for querying the Bitmain website a day ago but no refund yet.

Nope ... not yet ... but I guess they will leave it a couple of days to make sure you haven't replied (and therefore changed your mind) before they refund.

Yes, the GUI is nice, lots of good hardware is supported and the donations are more than reasonable but the real benefit to this pool is the Doc.  Where else is the owner / manager of the pool this accessible?  The guy responds to just about every question (even dumb ones about luck) and provides thorough and thoughtful answers and comments.

Agreed, I love good stats, and BitMinter does that and makes it easy for me to analyze my performance/ROI (However depressing it looks at times when difficulty increases Shocked) . The good Doc has to field a great array of questions ... from simple to complex ... and each is given equal thought and reply ... within a good time frame.

The situation is this: After receiving the first batch of RockerBox ASICs, our initial results show a lower hash rate than expected.

Whilst this is not the best of news, you have to hand it to Guy for being honest and upfront once the problem was discovered, many companies wouldn't have been so quick.

I'm with others ... don't judge yet ... let them test and report back, I'm sure they will do the very best they can for people with orders, they've been consistent with everything else so far.

340  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - Best W/GH/s ratio, Best $/GH/s ratio on: July 22, 2014, 10:19:46 PM
Yes ... Relax ... Sponds have chips to play with now or real soon (tomorrow?), and give them time to tweak the SP30s to early perfection (future firmware updates will make life better) given past performance.

I'd rather receive my pre-orders a little late with a nice 6TH/s, than have machines that perform average.
