LOL, no one has to SPV mine, they are doing half ass and dont give a crap about the rest of bitcoin, they are actually harming the bitcoin echo  system but not even doing their job. The whole point of solving blocks is to move the bitcoins from point a to b. By them not adding any transactions in their solved blocks they are just getting paid for doing nothing period.

Oh and them have the nerve to blaming the blockchain for their careless actions is ahh Stupid? Cant think of a word to describe it..

Sure someone else will think of it Smiley

322  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Bitminter bitcoin mining pool - Pays TxFees, Merged Mining, Fair PPLNS rewards on: March 04, 2016, 09:52:58 PM
Well one thing you forgot to mention is using a high(er) diff rate, means when you finally submit your work and the time it takes to get there, the data could be old and get rejected. Thing is with a higher diff rating all that work for all 64 shares will be rejected..

But does save on bandwidth..

PS

Did you change from Proportional Payment mining to full PPLNS? No more not getting paid for older shares?

any chance to override/lower the var min diff.. Got some old USB miners that 64 diff is too high  for more poor old miners..

Thanks

> i have read the FAQ section in the site, but i have to confirm some things:
- do you charge fees over btc withdraw/deposit and cny deposit? and even for smallers bitcoins withdraws/send btc to another wallet?

BTC withdrawal:
For amount less than 1BTC, a fixed fee of 0.001BTC;
for amount larger than (including) 1BTC, no fee;
Transactions between two HaoBTC accounts are free.
CNY deposit:
Free

>  is there a minimum amount to send to another wallets?
No.

> if i put coins in the wallet, and withdraw it in 30 days, the interest will be 0.25%?
Yes.

Lol you do realize .25% means if I put in 1 btc I would earn in one month .25 btc right..

Ya i just read that, seems they omitted a few things, like SPV mining and solving blocks with ZERO transactions in it, ya sure that help the network with even more unconfirmed transactions..

Real smooth there hashnest...

Oh and make sure you keep that 66 gb folder backup before you do, else if something goes wrong you'll have to start from scratch and redownload it all.. again.

That includes changing wallets.dat file out too.. will have to "re prune" it

328  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / More then 1 block conformation question. on: March 02, 2016, 02:58:45 AM
Yes are more blocks needed to be solved in order to move past the one block conformation? I mean isn't the math already done and all that is required is other nodes to verify the solved block?

Example: once a transaction is found in a block and is broadcasted do i need to wait for two more blocks to be solved in order for my txid to be verified? Or just to wait for the solved block to be broadcasted through all 1100+ nodes around the world till consensus is met?

Thanks

Honestly only reason i keep a full node to have access to my wallet.dat file and no one else. I don't even have port forwarding opening hate all those connects/reconnects tearing down my poor router..

Well just tried loading my cold wallet, with my "cold" pruned blockchain data and did not work, wont sync or what ever even though they both stop at the same place in the blockchain, in theory they should just start where it left off at. But its not, like it doesn't know where it stop at and it only has access to the latest 2 weeks of data...

Not a happy camper with this "pruned" version

so question, can the ethruim miner be used on other mining pools and can we opt to get paid in eth instead of auto convert to btc?

Thanks

Well, i'll  chime in on this, seeing i was one of the first "investards" not leaning either way, just to say i put up 1 btc and got it back and left my initial investment of .1 btc in and its dying a slow agonizing death, and when i asked for a withdraw i got this...

And i quote:

"Icon,

I can surely put you on the list but that list is already over 20 weeks out. And for guys as small as you that sucks. Sometimes with an account that small the withdraw process alsone would have you almost paid out before your turn comes up for withdraw. But I surely can put your account in withdraw status. Just send a direct email to payments at StakeMiners.com for us top have a record of the request please."

cyberpinoy

That and when i look at my weekly earnings it has this:

How Much You Have Been Paid So Far
1.22615299 BTC

Now pay attention to the paid back 1.x btc  that's my own btc back Sad

ya likewise, what i have done is run 2 nodes, 1 full node other pruned and sync my "cold wallet" and removed the wallet.dat file, and shut down the prune node. When i want access to my cold wallet i'll do like i did before with the full node, copy my wallet.dat file unto the custom prune data folder and let it "catch up" to the latest blocks.

That was my problem, using my 5 year old wallet in a new prune node, only way around this (the only way to do this) use a full node data place your wallet.dat file load qt let it index all your txid's (like normal) shut down. Then enable prune mode. Basically prune mode makes a custom data folder just for your wallet. If you remove your wallet and reload prune qt, it will work ~ 2 weeks out but if you go past that you'll have to start all over. Best bet is to keep the wallet.dat and pruned data folder together and each time you run qt in prune mode make sure you keep the same wallet.dat file you started with. You cant resync in prune mode.

That or just make a new wallet.dat and keep using it. Basically the prune qt works in tandem with your wallet.dat they have to stay in sync ~ under 2 weeks together, else it wont work.. Due to you only having the last 2 weeks of blockchain data.

Or you can start from scratch place your wallet.dat file into a empty data folder and start from 6+ years ago. It loads ALOT faster through prune mode.

Hope this made a little sense Smiley

edit.... why there is still not the digital sign for the exe? it's not good when i click on the exe and it say that is not safe, it can discourage newbie...

digital sign cost like hundred dollars, not so much
Not sure what you mean that it isn't signed. It looks signed to me.

the exe is not signed, try to launch it in widnows and you will see the usual alert message

also, to enable pruning i must remove the blockchain data first? i thought when enabling it he just delete all data if MB = 0

The installer (under windows 64 bit) is digital signed, and to enable pruning it will auto prune when it loads and re syncs, just make sure you have your wallet.dat file loaded first, if you don't you will have to re-download/re sync to match your wallets txid's  <.. and need to keep the wallet.dat file loaded all time while in pruning mode.

ok i can understand how that is a problem, got a question, can i use my cold wallet in my full node load and sync close the qt copy the data folder over onto 2nd pc, load qt in prune mode leaving the wallet.dat file in place?

Afterwards say after 2 months reload the prune qt client with the same wallet.dat file loaded and everything work, IE: not changing the wallet.dat file out at all.

Basically i could copy the entire data folder on a usb drive and keep it "offline" i am guessing.

Thanks
