at least is not volatile anymore, that's good
no, that's bad. i consider bitcoin a failure when it can't even get past $650 we need orders of magnitude more to be able to be called anything of value in a world where trillions mean nothing anymore. lets talk about "stability" when/if it gets to $50,000. Bitcoin will be a failure if the price still under 650 after the next halving, somewhere around 2016, because the mining costs will be greater than the bitcoin price.. Or if it retracts in market cap with some constance, what will not happen if bitcoin price is stagnating. Same sort of things were said last halving day...Generally miners will not sell at a loss so a reasonable amount of market liquidity dries up and then supply / demand pushes the price up until miners start to sell because mining is economical (just).

Sounds like your hardware is failing. Get a new hard drive and I recommend at least 50G space for the blockchain as there are no truncation options nearing completion in the next 12 months so you will need the space. 50G from a stock standard 2TB drive is not much, heck, a lot of decent games come close to that amount.

If you have turned a miner off but would still prefer them to be active, then please cosnider my proposition.
When BTC ramped up in late 2011 ~ mid 2012, I converted a chunk of BTC to a 1.5kW solar panel system. This 'free' elec power is now used to power my house and a small rig setup consisting of an R-box (30GHs), a Jally (10GHs) and a pair of 6770s (~370kHs). Sure it doesn't make any serious money but it does help secure the network for 'free'.
I reside in regional Victoria, Australia, were we have an abundance of solar energy. I am a systems engineer (electrical background) whom hopes to tinker further to produce a hybrid power option (wind & solar).
If you have any unwanted miners, please consider sending them to me so they may mine on until they reach a natural death (I am happy to BTC for P&H, I don't expect people to be out of pocket.).
Msg me to discuss.
Regards,
Cranky

After the 1st ASIC rollout debacle, why did anyone continue to pursue pre-purchases with ANY company? The mad, sheep like mentality of supposedly educated miners just went straight out the window, much like the miners of years gone by whom were themselves struck with gold fever.

2,780,359 ETH sold.
If they sell it at 2000 ETH per bitcoin, that mean they have around 1390 bitcoin (around 800k usd) to do whatever they want.
So, the question, what do they do with these kind of money and why they need that much?
They need the money to retire on.

Another version, without official cup logo ...
Nice work. What software did you use to produce? I am using sketchup8 to develop my design but it is proving to be, shall we say, less than helpful in the rendering stages... Any advice would be appreciated. Here are some examples of my current draft. All items on the coin have a meaning...so no nicking the current ideas I am outlining, this is to provide proof of original thought that needs a polished rendering. Meanings for coin front: 1. Hydra represents crypto-currency, in particular BTC which started it all. Cut of one head, or block chain, and another two shall take it's place. 2. The Latin around the edge loosely translates as 'Remove a block chain and another shall arise'. This re-enforces the Hydra like persistence of crypto-currencies. 3. The coin rim spells out a word in binary if converted to ASCII. The word is 'sataoshi'. 1. In a depression, the hologram will reside, keeping it safe from accidental damage.

Usually it takes around 2 days, there are a lot of participants this time and posts need to be reviewed, could potentially take a day longer.
Let me know if you need help with that, I could lend a hand. devthedev...can you access ppls activity count at last successful payment peroid? Since moving to the onle system last month, a number of ppl have not been recording their start of month count. I did this assuming the new system would only want my current count (total) minus non-constructive but it has not been set up this way Any help appreciated..

given last months post count is no longer recorded in this thread, is there anyway stunna can release or let us know what that count was? without it I, and a fair few here, can't provide an accurate record of post counts since last submissions...
