Luckily Liverpool have Alisson Beckerr.

Thats the post/comment of the day and thats what quality goalkeeping gives to anyone in the game of football and it is not coincidence that  Liverpool won the league and champions league after signing the Becker for 70m from Roma. Also the squad quality composure were pivotal to the team winning at St James Park with a goal down and a man down.

The game is over and a 3-1 win for Bayern Munich at home. I think it's true about my feeling that the handicap is too big even though Bayern Munich are favored to win and if I had made the bet earlier then I would have lost half. There is no doubt about Bayern Munich with their current squad, especially since Harry Kane scored another brace in this match. Now Harry Kane has contributed 3 goals in his 2 matches with Bayern Munich and we will see the new top scorer candidate for this season. Harry Kane's quality is well worth the money Bayern Munich has paid and we will still see his very important role for the season with Bayern Munich.

As expected; its a comfortable win for Bayern Munich and also a good start to the bundesliga for Harry Kane who bagged 2 goals in the tie today against Ausburg; i reckon that Harry Kane could score atleast 25 league goals for Bayern Munich this season. Great goal scorer for the Bundesliga champions

- Brighton vs West Ham | 1 - 3 (West Ham Win

Beautiful game in london as David Moyes shows Brighton hows it done!! An action packed evening which saw West Ham lead Brighton after just 33 passes at half time. David Moyes didn't just park the bus; he ensured to deal with Brighton away from home and bagged 3 vital points and now top of the league too!!! With signings such as Kudus yet to be integrated to the squad; it promises to be an exciting season for West Ham.

With what I saw in the game today, Manchester United needs sign a Right back and another striker. Dalot isn't reliable at all, then we can't trust Rashord in the striking line. Manchester United also needs good midfielder Mason Mount is not also trusted, he lacks the stamina to play in this Manchester United squad.

I want to say that you did not watch the game at all; Dalot slotted in for the injured shaw; Rashford was involved inn all 3 of Manchester United goals and then somehow both players are to be replaced? Mount has had good performances before his injury too; What MUFC Needs is another midfielder to help out phase out the game and assert more control; thats why Amrabat is been pursued.

Even Toni Kross is not happy because of the offers from the Saudi teams to the famous players and this made. This time the Saudis sent an offer for Gabri Veiga the young player from Celta de Vigo who is a talented midfielder and we were expecting to see him move to the greater teams to grow but this Spanish player is near to joining Al Ahli.
Toni Kross believes that's embarrassing for a young player like him.

Till this moment, i am trying to understand why Kroos is disappointed or embarrassed and believe me not; i found no reasons. Every footballers play footballs to make money; its their job and a career for all footballers. Going off to Saudi League to make money is not a crime; playing in europe for 10 years would not earn him such wages.

Meanwhile; i see no reason why people are worked up about the Saudi league spendings because the Chinese league did more than these back then; there will be normalcy; lets just wait for it

French club Rennes player Jeremy Doku has signed a contract with Manchester City. The Citizens will pay the French club for Doku 60 million euros. The 21-year-old Belgian signed the labour agreement, which is for five seasons (until the end of June 2028).

https://www.transfermarkt.com/jeremy-doku/transfers/spieler/486049

The Belgian is a quality winger; with excellent ability to beat the press and also beat a player in a one on one scenario; i dare to say a proper Mahrez replacement. Its been an excellent summer for the Manchester City side. With that city amazing side; Doku will turn out to be a world beater in a few years from now.

That's a lot of injuries to key Chelsea players and this is likely going to affect the team's performance in their next game having got this number of players injured who are yet to recover. Starting up the season with so many injuries has the possibility of denying them the top 4 spots, looking at how competitive it was last season. It is needful for the coach to step up his game to get Chelsea into the promised Land.

To some extents; i think the injuries are something that the Chelsea coach should have expected because it is a known fact that the injured players are injury prone (bar Nkunku, Badiashile and Chukweumeka) and are not reliable too. But instead the ownership has spent without addressing the key issue.

I still believe that Pochetino will do a good job; and should yes make use of the depth of players available at his disposal.

I also thought Chelsea could do better and it was considered convincing but it turns out West Ham did something unexpected. To be honest, Chelsea's performance was bad in that match, it was really unexpected how they showed a formation with so many gaps for the opponent to penetrate. So for Chelsea, will this setback continue or not? they had to submit to West Ham, while against Liverpool they were able to provide a good defense.

Chelsea did have good spells in the game against West Ham; but they could not score or create multiple chances to score during their sustained pressure in London; With Jackson missing out and their midfielders unable to create any clear cut chances. The same will continue for chelsea until the end of the season because there is no single creator in that chelsea; just passers; tacklers and interceptors; while they do not have any goalscorer either. With easy run of games for Chelsea; they should pick up good points or face relegation threats.

Saturday EPL Review
Its a weekend of cards in the Premier League this weekend hahahaha.

Quote
Fulham 0 - 3 Brentford
It was a quiet match from both teams; until Fulham howler gifted Brentford the lead. Then a red card + an early penalky kick gifted Brentford a deserved 3 points away in London.

Quote
Liverpool 3-1 Bournemouth
It was a bad start for Liverpool who went down early due to a Trent mistake in midfield which gifted Bournemouth an early goal; Liverpool bounced back, got an early equalizer; a fradulenet penalty kick which salah scored the rebound and then a Jota rebound goal after going a man down.

Its an overall okay performance and Klopp has to do more with McAllister about to miss 3 games due to a straight red.

Quote
Wolves 1-4 Brighton
An impressive starts by both teams, but Brighton led first due to a Mitoma excellence; and Wolves failed to take their chances. At the start of the second half, Wolves conceded 2 back to back goals to take the game beyond them. At the end; it ended 4 goals to 1 and a red for Wolves.

Quote
Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 Manchester United
It was a good and cagey first half from both teams; but spurs team edged it in the second half dominating and getting a deserved 3 points ahead of the red devils; in another match where Ten Hag got tactically exposed in both halfs; its been a ridiculous start to the new season for Ten Hag boys.

Quote
Manchester city 1-0 Newcastle United
With De Bruyne out injured with Bernando Silva; Manchester city creative outlet was definitely lacking and it showed tremendously as Haaland has another quiet game in Manchester; the boys proved why they are champions; grinding out a 1 nil victory against a resurgent and quality Newcastle United side.

Wolves VS Brighton

Previously Brighton managed to bend Luton Town with a landslide score and this time it will be another proof match for Brighton to continue to consistently win in every game. But this time they will be guests at Wolves headquarters and it looks like this match will not be so easy for Brighton to win either. If we look at the last 5 matches against the two of them, it is clear that Brighton is quite superior with 3 wins and Wolves with 2 wins.

Even so, Roberto De Zerbi's squad cannot be underestimated since last season and they continue to improve the depth of their squad so they can compete more closely in the top 4 of the standings. The odds offered by the bookie are also quite convincing with @1.81 for Brighton and Wolves getting @4.10, so of course I will bet on Brighton's win because they are definitely favored to win.

The tie can only end in 2 ways; a draw for wolves; or a total destruction by Brighton. Wolves are ofcourse a good team; but they are only performing exceptionally because of a new manager bounce; they were found wanting against Manchester United and Brighton can take advantage of that to great extents.

A 1-1 draw or a 4-1 demolition by Brighton.

Chelsea is doing great in his transfer window and now they hijacked another player from Liverpool. We know Roméo Lavia was linked to Liverpool and this player was very close to signing a contract with Liverpool in this summer, but now he officially joined Chelsea for 58m and he is going to play there.
Roméo Lavia is a 19-year-old player but he signed a 7-year contract with Chelsea which means he will play for Chelsea until 2030.

https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/12940365/romeo-lavia-chelsea-complete-58m-deal-to-sign-southampton-midfielder

Its been an exceptional summer for the Chelsea Football club; who have gotten theirself a massive midfield trio of Caicedo, Enzo and Lavia; a midfield touted to be the best in the Barclays English Premier League. The onus is now on Chelsea to challenge for the Premier league title; they have no champions league or europa league football and also a large squad depth to deal with fatigue or injuries. Do you reckon chelsea challenging for the league ?

PSG tried everything to overcome the Mbappe crisis, but unfortunately nothing worked. First they wanted to sell him to Arab teams but Mbappe rejected the offer. Then they wanted to leave him out of the squad, but they realized that doing so would hurt them the most.

I think in this case that PSG were too trusting and basking on their money instead of being professional in the discussions with Mbappe; its been over 12 months since the interest from Real Madrid has been made public and since then PSG has not addressed the issue; first they signed Messi to proof competitiveness in europe champions league; second they increased his wages and added loyalty bonuses and allowances; all without considering the fact that Mbappe wants to leave for Spain.

Now, they risk loosing Mbappe for free; or selling him in January to Real Madrid for a small fee

1. What is shitposting?

Anywhere you see shit posting; it simply means that the hiring project does not care the manner of approach you take to market their links, or presales or services; they just want their project name, links etc plastered all over reddit. No constructive post is needed; no sanity is needed; just post every topics or threads or comments about their services thats all.

Quote
2. What should we check out for in a post, such that when we see it we can confidently call the post a shit post

Shit-posting are easy to identify.

1. Off topic - either you are talking about A or B or Z; they do not care; they simply copy and paste their contents.
2. They are usually a one line or one sentence comments/posts with links etc
3. They are easily identifiable because the sentence means nothing.
4. They are most likely spamming in numbers (more than 1 comments).

Quote
3. Is there any difference between shitposting and spamming?

There is a thin line difference; but i am not sure if it means much anyway. In a shitpost; there is a target audience; it could be a presale post, or crypto community or football community or a metaverse subreddit / topic. Meanwhile for spamming; it doesn't matter if its a political post or crypto or religious post; they post their contents everywhere n large numbers.

De Gea is a good player but I am surprised that he has nkt been signed by a big club since he moved on
He lacks some qualities which has made him totally different ans difficult firckubs to sign him.
He should have at least moved to Arabs when they wanted him . Munich is a big club so they need nothing other than getting the place player.

For David De Gea; i think the biggest problem is that his wages are on the high side; he earned a little over 350k weekly as reported at Manchester United; so unless he is ready to take a wage cut i do not think any clubside in Europe will be willing to sign him. Also, i think another hindrance for De Gea is his mental state at the moment; the treatment from Manchester United to the elite goalkeeper is something he perhaps has not forgotten yet.

For me personally; i hope he finds a clubside he can join to lay under little pressure.

Manchester United will not be able to do as expected again this season. This is evident from the game they play.

This is what we call faux reaction and over complicating stuffs lol. This is just the first game of the season; the performance ofcourse is not up to standard; but it is not an indication of a failed season at all. When its december; after 18 games played; then you can judge if the team is fighting for the league or just the top 4 champions league position.
338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: August 14, 2023, 04:51:49 PM

Xavi looked completely disappointed with the draw and I think he certainly really hopes to get a win in their first match. The strategy carried out by Getafe really frustrated Barcelona, it can be seen that they play aggressively and do not hesitate to play rough. This effort seems to have paid off and made Barcelona's rhythm of play not work well.

Am not sure why xavi is disappointed after he let a clueless 11 to the pitch, midfielders on the wings and wingers on the bench. it was an awful performance down to horrible coaching and tactics from the manager Xavi. The only advantage is that it is the first game of the season and there are many opportunities to bounce back.

EPL SUNDAY REVIEW.

Quote
Brentfort 2-2 Tottenham Hotspur.
A beautiful game with a point shared apiece by both teams. An impressive debut for Madisson who ran the strings in his first competitive game for Tottenham Hotspur. A bad captaincy debut for Son who forced a penalty kick for brentford in the match.

Theres so much to worry about from both teams, Tottenham Hotspur will get smashed if they open up like today against top team, brentford performance fell off after half time as well.

The bigger question, what is wrong with Richardlison!

Quote
Chelsea 1-1 Liverpool
An interesting tie with both sides having a goal ruled out to offside, first from Salah; then Chilwell. From this tie, Liverpool need caicedo more as he improves their performances in the middle of the park. Caicedo won't fix half of chelsea problems, the Caicedo lad better flee from Chelsea team. Average end to end performance from both sides.
340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: August 13, 2023, 01:55:16 PM

The home factor might make Chelsea a little more confident. But from the appearance in the EPL the rest of last season, Liverpool have improved more.  Pochetino's challenge if he manages to win maybe they will have a better move for the next game. Pochetino and Klopp had almost the same fate last season, this season they have to work hard if they want to compete with Man City. They must seize the moment of transfer to improve club strength.

I think the home factor means more pressure for the Chelsea side, who will welcome Liverpool in the first tie of the season for both sides. The beauty of the EPL is that pre-season form does not matter. Will Klopp and Liverpool get a point at the stamford bridge? Can Pochetino get the blues firing and get a first win at the helm of chelsea?

The game promises to answer lots of questions. I am rooting for a Salah brace and a Liverpool win.
