Here is the site: http://www.blockchainsummit.io/I think you will recognize some of the participants. There are so many people involved in BTC that it's hard to say who are the most influential anymore.

This is what the internet looks like without net neutrality. Someone has to own the internet in such a system. Here in the US it would be large companies, in China it could only be everyone's father figure ;the government.

It's not a law I like, but...
Well that is ridiculous. Running a website where people trade illegal goods shouldn't be comparable to that, but I guess the people running the states aren't very smart. Such a law shouldn't be applied on all criminal enterprises since it obviously has variations. Selling someone drugs, and hosting a website where someone else is selling drugs shouldn't be put in the same bag. Yes, and in this case it's once more removed. As you point out, HE did not even sell the drugs. I could imagine an argument against someone who helped Al Qaeda get a nuke. We would not let that guy go free because he should have some responsibility when they blow up London. But how far can you carry this logic?

Exactly how is it his fault that someone bought drugs from some person and overdosed? Ross had no influence over who bought what nor how would they take it. It's not a law I like, but I think he could be charged with their deaths in some states. If he is facilitating a criminal enterprise then he may be held responsible for all the actions of that enterprise. For example, if I ran a murder for hire ring that preformed several hits, I could be charged with those murders even if I did not participate in any way. Simply being the leader of the group that specifically kills people could be enough. It is similar to how a a bank robbery that causes a death is on every member of the team that robs the bank. They can all be charged with the same death. In fact they don't even have to kill anyone. If the bank guard dies of a heart attack during the robbery, then all the robbers may be charged with reckless homicide. I don't know what the laws are in NYC. Murder is not against federal law, states decide what murder is and who should be charged.

Free money is no concern. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Others have had this happen and reported that it turned out to be a marketing campaign. I think it was a gambling operation that sent out tiny amounts. If I remember correctly there was also a message broadcast with the transaction. ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) But it does not lead to taking your bitcoins, anyone can send you some.

You first hear about this stuff in the cypherpunks electronic mailing list during the 1990's. If you are old like me anyway.

Is his lawyer claiming this? It seems only people here are saying he was framed. How did you arrive at that conclusion even when his own defense is not making such a claim? If he was framed you would think he would mention it.

Since Walker took over, the government here has fallen apart. Walker and the rest are all crooks, that's why they run up against the law.

u guys dont understand what is the use of teamviewer.Read before u post anything. I need to see ur screen to know if u r doing it rite or not. u can also use join.me
paying $2 btc still.
The concern is that because TeamViewer is a remote control system it is inherently insecure. Just installing it is half the work of hacking someones computer. I can see how it would help you, but the risk is just to great.

I believe the bubble and subsequent crash was caused by speculation. Very typical to see this behavior in an unregulated market. Speculators try guessing future prices and often drive the prices up to silly highs. When this is realized the price starts to fall apart and oscillate until settling on a more reasonable estimate. It looks like $230 is that price.
The article was written by people who want you to look at the adds, not by scholars trying to educate you. Including the sexy and interesting idea of secret black markets is too much to resist. It is also why the title is the rise and fall of bitcoin. A fall is far more interesting than a normal, predictable market correction.
Fall indeed, that thing was written Nov 23, 2011. The fall was from $30 then. Did it end anything?

I would like a program that keeps video game scores and adds a betting layer. I have seen score keepers that work with many games, but not one that allows players to throw in some BTC then fight it out for the prize. Might be fun?
By the way, who is this "we" you mentioned?
Cant you do this on egamingbets? @RodeoX: As there are many different services that offer this type of service such as the one 'ryandanielt' mentioned, ...
Where have I been? It looks like a lot has happened since I last wished for a game score program denominated in BTC. Thanks for the response and info. You made my wish come true! lol Years ago I used to compete and led a beta team for the U.S. Army's "America's Army" title. I would have loved to have fun bets with the other players.

Another theory about what they are doing in not specifically bitcoin related. There are ways of using a blockchain to verify identity and perhaps do away with the need for sim cards. Getting rid of those sim cards is a desire of the phone industry. ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) But why using the block chain? I don't think that this makes any sense, cell phone providers don't need to store identities in a decentralized manner. I mean, it would be great if someone could described a very useful use case for this but I don't see one at the moment. Also, that's quite some money for a record keeping technology. I really don't know how this system works. But I have heard people argue that blockchain technology (not the bitcoin blockchain specifically) can be used to handle cell phone identity in a way that would not require sim cards. Apparently sim cards are not liked by cell providers because they require a complex distribution. The cards must be shipped and stocked at stores then sold and reconciled online. The holy grail is a system that can all be done from the phone, one that cuts out the store and sends all profits to the provider. But I am not sure how this happens using a blockchain.

I like Palestine. Everyone I met there was kind and helpful. If you want to see for yourself stay on the Palestine side when visiting Jerusalem. The National hotel has good prices and is a nice location for walking the city. https://nationalhotel-jerusalem.com/

I think yes, a 21% instamine is ridiculous. It gives a bad name to BTC.
I would want to give them to Mark Zuckerberg and have him distribute them on facebook.
No coins earned/worked for by our inventor/s should be dictated what should be done with them by anyone except them lol We are nobody's in the scheme of things it was created to help us all climb out from under the banks control and be our own bank plus a whole brilliant things and you want to repay that buy deleting his/their coins?! Come on dude that is what is ridiculous like your grasp on how many and how the coins was acquired he worked for them as did every other miner, should we delete them all It would be awesome for you to give the coins to that zuckerberg because you would not be losing much by everyone of the distributed coins getting dumped on our face and crash the price more than we can ever imagine. Even better. Let's take the coins owned by the Winklevoss twins and give them to Mark Zukerberg! lol Damn, F-ed again! ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)
