3281  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is Easy dont be afraid just on: May 17, 2021, 12:49:07 PM
The same odds to lose are 50:50 to Win.
You lose Only if You buy When price is Up Green*
Or You Panic selling*
If its correction just buy more.
Just make sure You have always other 50% cash to buy the dips*

Only thing You have to be afraid...  IS BLACK SWAN*

NOTHING ELSE REALLY!
Corrections are for buying not selling.

Only way to lose money is BLACK SWAN ON THE MARKETS*
Black SWAN comes When MARKETS gets hot so make sure to Come out of the game if You made Good profit.
Anything else is not even problem.

How do you know the chances are exactly 50/50? Trading is not like gambling where we know the odds in advance. Sure the price can either go up or down, but there are a lot of risks involved. We can always lose money, not only in the big tail events. Would you call the current drop a BLACK SWAN event? Prices are down more than 20%, it looks like a tail event. But how do we know that we should be buying right now, and not in a few weeks?
3282  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ohio offering lottery prize worth one million for those that get the COVID shot on: May 17, 2021, 12:41:14 PM
In an attempt to increase the number of people getting vaccinated all kind of incentives are being given in the US, one of the most interesting is that those that get at least the first dose of the vaccine at Ohio will have a chance to win one million dollars, apparently there will five be prizes so a total five million dollars will be given for those that are willing to take the vaccine, and for those that are below the age of 18 there will be full scholarships being offered as well.

What do you think of this? Do you agree with what the governor of Ohio is doing or are you against it?

Source: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-57096039

Thats a pretty cool idea to promote vaccination and get people to get the injections. I just looked that the Ohio population is around 11.5m people, if we would say that around 7-8m people will get the vaccine than we have winning chances of 5 in 8m to become a millionaire, or better 1 our of 1.6m people will get the money. That is awesome chances of winning, much better than any of the big lotteries. Unfortunately I don't live in Ohio  Sad
3283  Economy / Economics / Re: 🔴 Breaking News - Elon Musk is going to part with all his Bitcoin BTC on: May 17, 2021, 11:47:20 AM
RIP fellow bitcoiners, it was just a matter of time. We all had a good run and now it's time to say good bye. Its sad how we are all just lemmings in the world of Elon Musk. Nothing we can do than to accept our downfall. Hope we will get a new godfather who is better to us than Elon Musk was. It lasted very short but so is the game. I am sure we will see each other here again in 2-3 years. Good luck everybody
3284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not panic sell when there is dump on: May 17, 2021, 08:07:51 AM
Sometimes when a coin pumps hard and starts to dump, novice will panic sell due to fear or other reasons, while the whales will buy up the dump and mop it all and then pump it even harder.... So don't always panic sell, be in control of your emotions, although it isn't easy, but with practice you will perfect and master it.......Every new trade is a journey and a new destination...... Always dyor

What do you think about this circumstance ? am i overthinking this ? share your views.

I agree with you, this is exactly what we are seeing right now. Too many people are dumping their BTC and will probably have to just rebuy them at higher levels in the future. Panic selling is a serious issue, it happened to me a few times myself. On top of the sell price we also need to take into consideration the fees of selling the coins quickly, and then again another set of fees when we are buying again.
3285  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin price crushed? on: May 17, 2021, 07:34:08 AM
Many speculated that Bitcoin would be much more upward than its $50000 team, so why is bitcoin price downward?
Can we then assume that the market is now moving at its own pace and that it will return to its previous position? We've already seen that every bit of Bitcoin's precious moments come back again and again and make a better position than before. What are the current situation and the location of Bitcoin?

In my opinion the BTC market crashed thanks to Elon Musk. First he hyped the crypto coin and bought a lot himself and now he is pushing in downwards. It is hard to tell right now, if there gets the news out that Elon Musk just wants to drive BTC down so he can be buying more himself than BTC should be rallying soon again. I don't think we will see BTC to drop down to 20,000 or 10,000 USD. I would rather expect it to balance our around 40,000 USD until new news are coming out that another big investors starts buying into the market.
3286  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you think is the most interesting movie? on: May 17, 2021, 07:28:22 AM
What is your "go to" movie when you need a laugh? Cheesy

My go to movie when I feel down is "Superbad" - it's kind of old from 2007  but still one of the most funny movies. It's about some young guys who want to have fun. And the story of McLovin just gets me every time. Absolute masterpiece in the comedy genre.
3287  Economy / Economics / Re: Tesla Bought 1.5 B in Bitcoins on: May 17, 2021, 07:16:59 AM

Apparently, their stance flipped once more.

https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1394170030741413888?s=21

Until later, when we will discover they actually increased their BTC stash.
It's an unregulated market, after all. We don't know anything about Tesla's total position, derivatives included. Even if I strongly doubt they are overall short.

This is so crazy right now with Elon Musk, it looks like he can completely influence the BTC price on its own. I am not trusting it anymore, how can you completely change your mind on Bitcoins withing a few months? Nothing really changed, it was always electricity intense to mine bitcoins. But using FIAT currency also costs a lot of energy - just by using all the ATMs around the world a lot of energy is consumed, they need lights 24/7, security, storage, resupply, etc. Who can actually verify that nothing is being sold, or he is not buying new coins after sending the BTC price 20% down? This feels like manipulation and should be investigated in my opinion.
3288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Esports Prediction & Discussion Thread on: May 16, 2021, 06:47:04 AM
Today are the finals of the World of Warships tournament King of the Seas 12. The game is not so popular but the price money of 30,000 USD is quite huge. I would expect there will be 15,000 viewers. An Asian team called VOR is the favourite right now. So far I didn't see any betting on the games yet. It could be a nice addition for the bookmakers maybe. Not really playing the game myself but I like warships and I like to watch it. Would be cool to bet a little on the big matches.
3289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online gambling becomes popular on: May 16, 2021, 06:41:27 AM
Poker was the first form of online gambling and got a lot of attention 10 years ago just to eventually not be so important anymore. People tend to prefer live tournaments, the biggest money was always on the physical tables. But due to the pandemic this changed again last year.
I am always glad to see a hype in online gambling because it means that there will be more money coming in for the casinos. And if the casinos make more money they can give more money back to the gamblers through promotions. I probably got in the last 6-12 months more free bets and free games than I got over the last 3 years. I hope that this trend will continue next year so we can all profit from it.
3290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online gambling risks during coronavirus pandemic on: May 16, 2021, 06:32:37 AM
Actually, some of the tips work for me naturally lol. But not in the way Gonidis suggested. I start doing all these tips only after losing a significant amount: I start wanting to go for a walk, I start recording and limiting my spending for tomorrow, try to find other stimulations to keep my mind not to think in what shit am I. Besides jokes, I believe the last tip is actually worth trying. You do not control your thoughts when you catch a losing streak until you throw everything in your pocket and outer help from someone who truly understands your situation might help.

I think this is a very natural behavior of you. Everybody who gambles long enough will eventually experience a bigger loss. And it takes such a loss to start thinking more about risk management. When we start gambling and are only winning then it feels like we could never lose. I still remember my first big loss to this day and how devestated I was after it. But I changed my perspective now, its a good reminder for me to try and be more cautious in the future. We always need to factor in risk when we gamble.
3291  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you see yourself quitting after this bullrun? on: May 16, 2021, 06:27:23 AM
Unfortunately I don't have enough coins to make any substantial profit. I mean even if you bought 10 bitcoins back in the days for 1 USD, you would have 500,000 USD now. But is this really enough to quit your job and retire? I feel like we need more money than that in the long run, especially if we have a family and kids to take care of. If we already have a house with mortgage and some other savings it might work. But what do we do if price drop?
3292  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to get respect even if you don't have money on: May 16, 2021, 06:21:22 AM
Have seen people who are not rich but are still respected by people. This set of people are just special because of the life style they exhibit. What gives this set of people respect is
cleanliness - they are always  neat, even if they always put on a particular cloth
reserve they don't roll with everyone around them
intergrety always stand for the truth
Bold do not feel intimidated, believe in theirself

The best saying in my opinion is to treat others the way you want to be treated yourself. If you don't show respect to others they wing show you respect either. So it's best to respect every human and be kind to them. I strongly believe in karma. Also there is a difference between having respect and being afraid of someone. Just because some has a lot of money and is powerful, doesn't mean that he is respected.
3293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto-Casinos and KYC on: May 16, 2021, 06:05:25 AM
I have 2 questions which I would like everyone to please answer and based on the answers can we can have a clear picture.

1- Would you gamble at a crypto-casino knowing it would ask you for KYC documents before withdrawal?

2-  Do you feel safe giving out your KYC to online crypto-casinos?

In short my answer is Yes for both questions. As for 1 - I think it became standard practice in todays world to have to use KYC. Gambling online for a few years now, and played online poker for probably 10 years, and had to always do KYC verfications. It is just a protection for the casinos since they are giving away a lot of money through their bonuses  - like 100-200% deposit bonus. As for 2 - It depends on the casino, if it is a casinos who has been around for many years, then I totally feel comfortable to give away my infortmation. But if it is a completely new casinos without a track record, then I will do some research online for some reviews and see if it is really legit and if they don't will missuse our data.
3294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Being unpredictable on: May 14, 2021, 02:47:26 PM
Is there a way that you can ensure being difficult to predict at Poker? For example, if you never bluff, people will eventually get to known that and it will reduce your ability to profit from good  cards? Anyone there knows techniques or trick to avoid being easy to read?

Practice makes perfect that's the only way to do that, but even if a player is good at hiding his expression and his feelings, experienced poker players are also good at reading your body language, so it's not only your facial expression but also your body language that you need to hide for you be competitive in poker games.

Being afraid of giving away takes during poker games is real issue. That is probably why at the moment is the best time to play poker on casino. Wearing a face mask will hide most our expression, if on top of that we wear a scarf, hat and glasses it should be impossible for anybody to read us. But if we do that than it is very likely that other players will do so too. Being able to show expressions is a good thing in my opinion because we can look excited when actually having a bad hand. As long as we can control our emotions we can make good use of them. Then again when playing online all these points are invalid.
3295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SAFEDOG is new Dogecoin! on: May 14, 2021, 02:39:52 PM
SAFEDOG

I'm not big fan of meme coins, but $SAFEDOG has so great background, marketing strategy and insane hype so it has insane potential to multiply your investment. Team is putting a great amount of money for influencers and marketing and they are working hard in social media platforms.

VERY POTENTIAL SHORT TERM INVESTMENT

I don't know man, if this coin is getting hyped again by Elon Musk than it might be a good coin to make some quick money. But after the last few days I don't trust Elon Musk anymore. All we learned this week was that he has his own motives which he won't share with the public. So if there is a billionaire behind the coin backing it I will remain sceptical for now. Don't want to burn by fingers again. The name of safedoge but then only being for shortterm investment is a bit misleading.
3296  Economy / Economics / Re: Our boss and employer are money on: May 14, 2021, 02:24:52 PM
I totally agree. You can't do anything without money. Crypto is the best way to earn money. One example is Dodgecoin. A lot of people became millionaires.

Are there really so many people who became millionaires through doge coin? I am still holding my few coins, not going to sell right now. But even if I would sell it would just be a profit of a few hundred bucks. Everybody who got rich through doge coin definitely deserves it.

While money is the most important thing we work for, it is not the only one. If money is our boss, would we do anything for money? Would be willing to sell our body for money? Or do crimes for money? I hope not.
3297  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you trust the co-vid19 vaccine ? on: May 14, 2021, 02:18:32 PM
So guys, got my vaccine two days ago and I am still alive. I am definitely not one of the healthy ones, so if I can survive the vaccine then most of you can too. The first day after the I felt kind of normal, only a little tired, but no fever or anything serious. During the night I couldn't sleep that well, woke up many times and on the second day I had a strong headache. But after using an aspirin everything was fine. I also feel the arm where I got the injection, which is a good sign.So I know it wasn't only a placebo.
3298  Other / Off-topic / Re: 2 years cigarette free on: May 14, 2021, 02:11:36 PM

Don't worry everyone is going to die someday so if you like to smoke then just smoke but don't over do it. Wink

Getting addicted to it can be a problem eventually most of the people who are smoking addicted to it so they can't stop smoking unless they get the same amount of dopamine in some other way.

Smoking is bad for you it can cause lung cancer and some other things. We all need a break but we don't need a cigarette. Those who smoke need to stop and change the habit.
Smoking doesn't kill everyone but it will kill a lot of people and that is why it's so important to not smoke.

I agree, just because we will die one day doesn't mean we should be smoking, or take other non necessary risks. With this justification we could do anything that his risky and harmful to us. We have only one life and need to be careful with it. I had my last cigarette last year and think everyday of just smoking one. It took me so many attempts to stop smoking, really hope this is my last one.
3299  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Is Protecting Human Rights Around the World on: May 13, 2021, 02:41:36 PM
I am from Nigeria and I can testify that bitcoin has made donation for Nigeria protest for better governance more viable. During the endsars protest last year, the government blocked donation via bank transfer and other financial institutions such as flutterwave and paystack but they could not stop donation using crypto

That is pretty cool. With bitcoins we have the chance to help a lot of different people all around the world. Especially if we can help protests and people who are being targeted by the government, we have a way to give money without the chance of the officials to intercept that money. Financial institutions such as western union or paypal are controlled by the government. We need to use crypto currencies to go around such limitations.

Whenever I can, I encourage myself to trade in the most organized way possible, I carry my list with all my cryptos to watch, I always take a look at everything, attentive to the issue of being able to invest with peace of mind, it is all a job, because to organize myself I use Google Workspace, with the friends that I share here https://www.nextbigfuture.com/2021/01/google-workspace-promo-code-free-in-desamark.html you can try this tool for free, then later After trying it for a few days, you decide if it is useful for you, use a discount code, and you get it easy. Check them out, and I hope you find it as useful as it is to me. You have to invest in ease and comfort.
 Wink

This is a pretty good approach in my opinion. We should be calm when we gamble or when we are trading. Managing our emotions is key to success. I will give this tool a try, free trading programs are always nice to see. Can we use it for free unlimited time or do we need to buy it? I like programs which have a free base version, so everybody can use it. And if it's good we can decide to buy the premium version.
