Milan - Tottenham is an interesting draw to have in this round. I see it like both legs can be quite competitive. But I feel like it will depend on Milan's performance level especially. Because they haven't seemed very effective in big games in the Champions League so far. They were really inadequate in not only defense but also offense against Chelsea in the group stage. They lost both games as you know. But I still believe that Milan have a good potential in themselves to do better than this.
I just hope to see the same effort they make in the Serie A from them by this round of the Champions League. Because they have seemed like they care about the Serie A games more until now. Lens have done a really great job so far in the league. They are on an amazing winning streak now. However their next game might not be very comfortable for them because it is an away game against Nice. Honestly Nice are a little away from their good times now but they still haven't lost a league game for many weeks on one hand.
It has been like 16 years since Lens defeated Nice in an away game in the league. I don't know if this form can be helpful for them to break a leg finally. But I think this game is a candidate to end up with a draw. But I don't expect it to be a goalless draw.

I'm thinking of Betis and Atletico Madrid for the 3rd and 4th places in the standings this season. I think of a scenario like Betis finish in the 3rd place rather than Atletico Madrid. Because Atletico Madrid seem more unreliable to me with their game. Because it is the same old one and Simeone doesn't seem willing to make any big change. I trust Pellegrini's Betis to do better. Besides I think Real Sociedad - A. Bilbao duo will be out of top 4 again just as they were last season. They make good starts but have difficulties in making it to the end.

Rodrygo is a centre-forward but the conditions are still not there and he is also a runner type of player so it is not very suitable. but it would be better if he was honed more in the middle especially for the wings at the moment there are Asensio and also Valverde who actually could be placed in this position too especially with the condition of Benzema who is getting older it is clear that there must be improvement in that. Unless indeed Madrid still want to find another player for that position.
I don't know if Rodrygo ever played as a center forward. But he seems more suitable as the right winger in Real Madrid. He is a quick player, he can deliver good assists, and he has accuracy in shooting. With his ability and his height (1,74 m), the ideal position for him is a winger (not a center forward). In my opinion, he must improve his physical strength and his height if he wants to be a center forward. If Real Madrid has no money, they can use the alternative to make Rodrygo be a CF. But if Real Madrid has a money to buy top striker, it is better to buy a new striker (Mbappe should be the ideal CF). If you following Real Madrid matches this season you shouldn't be too surprised because while Benzema got injured Ancelotti has several times played Rodrygo as centre forward although in the term of goal productivities he still lack of goals compared to Benzema but at least he can covered Benzema position in the team and performing well and if Benzema absence for upcoming matches i think Ancelotti don't have any other option besides playing him again as centre forward and this formation probably will be used often unless Madrid gets new strikers however Madrid was very selective to buy players so they always be want the players with big names and currently they were linked to several players so i am curious who is the player that will be bought by Madrid this January |

Sevilla - PSV is another tough matchup in this round of the tournament.
Sevilla are known by a very successful team in the Europa League. They have 4 titles in last 10 seasons here. This is quite impressive and maybe scary for PSV. However the problem is that Sevilla are having a really bad season now. They are under the danger of relegating from the La Liga. Because their performance has been bad in not only the Champions League but also the La Liga. I don't think they would focus on the Europa League more at this point. They have no choice other than focusing on the La Liga matches to save themselves from the relegation zone. This might be an opportunity for PSV to take advantage of.
If they have to choose i think Sevilla will be more focus to avoid relegation zone and survive on Laliga than targetting europa league trophy this because if Sevilla relegated from Laliga i think they cannot able to playing at european competitions anymore so i am sure the current manager was already realized this that rather than playing at Segunda division for next season so it's better for Sevilla to failed on europa league than in Laliga and the opposite condition from PSV that this team joining race to gets Eredivise trophy with Ajax and Feyenoord and even they are in the good shape after finish on second position below to Arsenal and against Sevilla obviously PSV will aiming full points so this match almost certain will belongs to PSV |
