3361  Economy / Speculation / Re: If China opens BTC withdrawals - would that mean a pump or a dump? on: May 30, 2017, 05:50:06 AM
i am not sure to be excited or sad about China!
on one hand the Chinese coming back means a huge amount of volume will come back and apart from that it can lead to the bigger rises.

but on the other hand, we all remember all the drama that China brings with itself! all the FUD, the China pumping, and dumping topics in this board and all over the internet leading to bigger FOMO and panic sells. and that is never good for bitcoin in long run and for its publicity.

and we all know bitcoin without Chinese went up to $2700 and came down to $2200
3362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BREAKING NEWS: Russia Adopting Bitcoin. Price Explosion Imminent!! on: May 30, 2017, 05:43:49 AM
Allowing something to exist does not encourage it, and a few merchants accepting it in addition to fiat does not indicate adoption at all.

this is not a process to happen overnight. and that means "allowing something to exist" is the first step of many follow up steps in direction of mass adoption. there currently are a lot of merchants, small or big, wanting to accept bitcoin or add bitcoin payment option, but since it is not regulated they are hesitant.
and the same goes with users. many are hesitant because bitcoin is not regulated or many do it because someone from government said bitcoin should be banned and they are scared now!

in the end when things like this happen, slowly the tide turns. it may start with some smaller things but it will lead to bigger ones eventually.
3363  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Was it due to Ransomware? on: May 29, 2017, 06:32:26 AM
... There was not ransomware during that period?

Ransomware existed for a very long time, probably as old as computers have existed. with different names and a lot of different methods of asking for ransom and so many of them are caught and imprisoned now.

the only difference is that the news about this new Ransomware (which is using bitcoin instead of other old ways) became big in bitcoin community and everyone is talking about it so we keep hearing it in this forum too. but in fact there is nothing new! and it never had any effect on bitcoin whatsoever.
3364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Livecoin/Cryptopia/YoBit on: May 29, 2017, 06:09:29 AM
Are Livecoin/Cryptopia/YoBit reliable exchanges? I'm looking to capitalize on the blatant pump and dump activity taking place on those exchanges (e.g., Creativecoin, Funcoin, etc), but while the potential profits on new listings look exciting, there's no point unless there's a level of fiduciary responsibility on their end.

<

i am not exactly sure about what is it that you want to do, that can not be done in one exchange like poloniex or bittrex! so if you could explain a bit i am very curious Smiley
and as for these 3 i have never used Livecoin, i haven't heard their name much around here either.

Cryptopia however is an exchange that i have been using for some time, with small amounts i should add. just make sure the markets are not disabled, they have a lot of altcoins and sometimes some of them are forked, 51% attacked, exploited like double spends, etc an they close down the market for some time to investigate.

yobit is a terrible place, it is not trusted at all. they run a shady business and have multiple scam accusations open against them which they don't even bother to answer. you can look at the owner's account's negative trust rank.
but the platform is working you can deposit bitcoin and only a handful of altcoin (mostly top ones such as LTC, DOGE, ETH) and trade them and wish your withdrawal don't get stuck because they ran out of coins.
and never use any of their altcoin wallet because they are either in maintenance (meaning they don't have any balance in it or they no longer even run that wallet) or active but empty. both cases you are screwed if you try to withdraw.
3365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain Bubble in the Making? Memories of 2000 Tech Bubble on: May 29, 2017, 06:01:35 AM
i don't understand the choice of terminology!

your article keeps repeating "blockchain bubble", but blockchain is just the public ledger that holds all the transaction data in other words it is the Chain of Blocks. so the word "blockchain bubble" is meaningless in my opinion!

Don't be nit picky.  I know that you know what he means.

Anyway he's right. Most of these 'blockchain projects' won't be anything after they have burned thru all their funding.  And the funny thing is the founders of those projects themselves seem to think they're going to be the Steve Jobs of blockchain.  Lol.  They're douchebags, most of them.  Cheesy

i apologize if i came out as nit picky, i mostly said it since it is an article and it is best to be "technically correct" in it.

The Public Blockchain is the bubble, go where there is Privacy & Anonymity and you will agree that is the next phase, that's the only hint Wink

the average Joe doesn't really care about very high level of Privacy and Anonymity. that is why none of these anon coins and so called anon coins have not gained any real adoption yet.
and besides, you can gain the highest level of privacy with bitcoin, and a high level of anonymity too. example: Satoshi Nakamoto is still anonymous after 8-9 years.
3366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN DEMAND EXPLODE IN INDIA on: May 29, 2017, 05:50:41 AM
-snip-

500,000 downloads in a country of a billion people, umm that's .05% of the population. I'm not saying Bitcoin isn't getting more interest but let's go easy on the 'explode' shall we.

500,000 regular new users would be quite impressive though in such a short period of time of course none the less.

not to mention it is only the number of users using their mobile APP. and it is worth mentioning not everyone has a smart phone and not everyone who has a smart phone is installing Zebpay's mobile app on their phone.

the adoption of bitcoin in India has been growing for a while now, and majority of the buys are happening off the counter and mostly on localbitcoins with cash payments since their government was talking a little against bitcoin for a while.

also i don't get why this is posted in an altcoin board Smiley
3367  Economy / Speculation / Re: Here we go on: May 28, 2017, 07:03:19 AM
Sell while you can and take profits, good deals always come around to buy back in.

Of course you can wait for the price to reach your target if 10% chops are not your kind of deal.

for bitcoin it is never a good idea to sell on these come backs, because most of the times these come backs are the bottom price that we are going to see for a long time and depending on what happens after it can go up or down and either way selling means you will be screwed for that time period!
3368  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: The future Wallet on: May 28, 2017, 06:17:44 AM
1. You loose it (pass, keys, files, ...), like when you have everything in your machine and one day it is gone, destroyed, ...
2. You die or disappear. Your children, loved one, the little good project you started to help somewhere will not get your dead or disappeared coins..
3. You think about not only yourself, like when you got enough from crypto and you need to think how you do good with your good coins...
4. .... add your own drama.
this is why backups exist.
and also things such as BIP39[1] and all those other ways of using a Seed phrase come to work. you just write down the seed phrase on a piece of paper, and store it in a safety deposit box for case of emergency such as your demise or simply losing the wallet or hardware failure.

I go directly to my point: I tend to think that pairing wallet with (or defining it to be) your DNA is the only way forward. I understand that this DNA-wallet

a1. kills anonymity,
a2. will need a creation in real life, where a small cheap device canbe attached to your body and get your DNA unique identifier sequence quickly and another device that can do this in reverse.
a3. ...

for a1, I guess we imitate the current system of exchanges: a middle traditional wallet (i.e. current 2017) is to be introduced which will use use your DNA-wallet as the identity verification is used today. a2: I am entirely certain that such devices will be around soon. It exist now but each test costs around 100-200 USD.

What do you people think?

interesting suggestions. here are two things that comes to mind
1. that device that you want to attach to the wallet needs to be cheap and reliable and easily obtainable. i don't think that is possible although i have never done any research in this matter.
2. the bigger problem is coming with a way to generate the private keys from the DNA data in a completely random way. and that is where you will encounter problems.

edit oh and i just thought about the worst part of this idea:
3. your DNA can easily be stolen. it exists in your hair, saliva,... and anyone can easily take it from you and generate your wallet and steal your money! you see this is the number 2 all over again, it needs to be random so no one else can generate the same thing again.
3369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin was just dumped down to $2360 on: May 28, 2017, 06:09:30 AM
Do you think guys it will continue to drop?
Nope, the correction is now over. Back up to 70+B market cap. Those looking for coins on a discount missed their opportunity

usually when there is a big bubble and it bursts there is a big downfall, which is what we saw in altcoin market yesterday. but since there are still believers in the market that think the altcoins' bubble pop was a correction they buy back with high hopes and that is when we see the classic dead cat bounce and surely enough for majority of them the price will continue dumping because those knowing these facts will take advantage of the situation for a quick short term profit.

3371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: To all those claiming bitcoin and ICOs are overvalued! on: May 28, 2017, 05:54:14 AM
Bitcoin is valued just right, with a limited supply of the digital currency it only makes sense that if supply can not increase its value will.

It's also safe to say that some ICOs are overvalued that's why when ICO is over there is a correction in its price to reflect the true value of the coin

wont bitcoins supply be doubled after the fork tho? never was sure about this.

no a fork will only upgrade the block size (one way or another) and will only happen in case it gets enough support from everyone. otherwise it is doomed to fail as an altcoin which will die.

what "you think" is doubled is your coins which can exist on two chain if two chains can exist. which is unlikely.
3372  Economy / Gambling / Re: ▂▃▅▆█ BITSLER █▆▅▃▂ 🎁Most Popular Dice & Roulette🎁 on: May 28, 2017, 05:43:14 AM
Hello guys,

We are working on the BURST implementation.  It will take some time, at least 1 week +.

We will soon reach the 10th billion bet on Bitsler !
On May 2 we reached 9th billion bet and now when there is may 27, 10th billion bet is very near, if we get 2 billion bet in one month, it will be a new record for bitsler if I amn't wrong. Also since 10th sounds like anniversary, will we see a different, more rewarded billion bet promotion or something new? Hope 10th bet will be different and unique from previous bets.

I  never had luck with those "Billionth bet" promos. Basically during that time, people make so many accounts and create so many autobets that its ver y difficult to predict when the Billionth bet will happen.

It happens pretty much on any casino that has these promos, during that minute or two. Crazy amounts of bots are hammering the site to win the promo.

THen they all logoff if they didn't win. Not really fair for the regular traders.

alt accounts are usually caught too, they can't just have many accounts and not be detected. and besides you need money to make bets and if don't think anyone can afford to make that many bets with many accounts just for the hope of winning the prize.

and about bots, does bitsler even offer an API? i can't see it anywhere on the site
3373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / The end of Pumping Season... on: May 27, 2017, 06:46:02 AM
it always is like an end of era, the ending to an otherwise great season of pumping for all the altcoins. we have had an excellent run this year. all the rises were ridiculously big this year, we have had percentages of rise in altcoins that nobody even could think of possible because they were big.
we have always been used to 50% to 100% rise in these coins but to see 5600% rise in one month, it was indeed a great page in the history of altcoin pumping seasons.

now we are at the end of this season and once again we will see another long period of pathetic small pumps in these coins and mostly dumps all around. there will be blood Wink

i hope everyone increased their net worth during this glorious pump run.
3374  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: lets see how many of you are buying this time? on: May 27, 2017, 06:36:38 AM
I will buy around $900 per month, I don't care how much the price of bitcoin because proven will continue to benefit. I routinely buy bitcoin since 6 months ago and always profit.

How much percentage of your total monthly income you invest in Bitcoin?

you always invest the extra amount of money that you have after expenses not the fixed percentage of your monthly income. this means you deduct the expenses from your salary and then put some aside for emergencies and then if anything was left you invest that into bitcoin.
his numbers is only true if he either makes a lot of money monthly or he has so little expenses.
3375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin was just dumped down to $2360 on: May 27, 2017, 06:25:20 AM
Imagine to have your entire fortune in some of the top coin/s: "My net worth is $50 Million". Ten minutes later: "My net worth is $35 Million". On the next day: "My net worth is $120 Million.". Funny, eh? Cheesy

it depends on what you call "top", if it is just the fact that one coin is in the first 10 of some random list then you are correct. but if you are talking about bitcoin specifically then no, things are very different. when an altcoin gets pumped, it will get dumped and stays down.
but when bitcoin goes up it corrects and then rises again after some down time and accumulation.

if i had my entire fortune in bitcoin, lets say $50 million back when i started using bitcoin i would have lost for the first couple of months (the dip of 2014) but now that $50 million would have worth $250 million!
same goes for any other long term investment so far. they are always profitable in bitcoin.
3376  Economy / Speculation / Re: what happened for the market? on: May 27, 2017, 06:17:27 AM
this is the same story that we get all over again after each rise like this, when the rises are big a lot of people buy in and most of them are new to this are are afraid, specially with a lot of FUD in the market they easily panic and start dumping their coins, the experienced traders sold yesterday when price was still high and the first panic sells started, now we are all waiting for these newbies to be shaken out completely and then we are going to buy back all their coins to add to our big stash and make it bigger.
3377  Other / Off-topic / Re: Better bitcoin strategy on: May 27, 2017, 06:09:52 AM
Which better to start on bitcoin.
1. mining
2.trading on stock market/binary
3.faucet
4.investment
5.stock on your own sell on your own after.
I was searching and searching looking for any better ways to start and until now i don't have any firm answer where i gonna start . i really appreciate any suggestion from you guys. tia

i agree with Amph and say mining is the best option but only if you are not a trader and also have a rather cheap electricity and want to be running your computer for long hours. it still takes an investment but if you can find good altcoins to mine and they get pumped, you can make a nice amount of profit as long as you keep your costs to a minimum.

and obviously the other best option is trading, but you have to be good at it and know how to make it profitable. it is not just simply buying low and selling high as they keep saying Wink
3378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The next step for the evolution of Altcoins on: May 25, 2017, 06:17:19 AM
bitcoin is a currency and it is being adopted as a currency in major countries that matter. it also is a store of value because of the high security it has. only a fool will think it is only one of these and not both.

ethereum is a centralized platform for daps that the pumpers pretend it to be a currency but according to the developers it is not even supposed to be one. and it is not even good at that. and also i disagree with calling it a store of value, it is highly volatile and doesn't have the same security.
it is in a big bubble which can burst hard at any moment.

- you are a fool if you think billionaires are even going to be bothered with any of the cryptocurrencies.

the rest of the altcoins for the next step will enter their dumping phase and that phase can last for a very long time. and during that phase the prices will continue to decline as people lose money if they hold any bags.
you can start praying that bitcoin stops rising and starts some new FUD phase like what we saw during the $1250 drop earlier this year so the altcoins can pump again. otherwise the dumping is where we are headed.

if you think investing in any altcoin is a good idea right now, you may want to rethink again after looking at the prices today.
3379  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LTC/USD price has bounced back while LTC/BTC is still in the dumps? on: May 25, 2017, 06:07:45 AM
because of the direction in which traders are moving, they move in USD market direction.

for markets like litecoin which are huge and listed on major exchanges with the LTC/USD market or genrally LTC/Fiat such as the big 3 Chinese exchanges which only have bitcoin and litecoin and no other altcoin, this thing happens. people inject fiat to buy so the price stays up in the USD or fiat market while it declines because of arbitrage trading in the ltc/btc market.

BTC > up in USD
LTC > wants to stay the same place in USD because of the strong buy support.
if LTC/BTC price stays the same > it becomes expensive because of bitcoin rise
=> people sell litecoin in BTC market so the price goes down there to stay in balance with the USD market of it.

for other markets it usually works the opposite way. since most people are interested in the ALT/BTC market and not so much in the ALT/USD market the price in USD declines and in BTC stays up.
but also most of the times any decline in any of these markets causes a panic sell that crashes the market in general because people only see the drop and don't think about why they just go on a frenzy dumping phase Cheesy
3380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Whales are starting cashing out... on: May 25, 2017, 05:58:06 AM
this is what everyone was warning you about, the dumping phase after the bubbles burst. those who listened are now with their money safe in their pockets and not in bags of worthless altcoin and those who never listen are not anxious about what they can do and they will soon start their topics about ...coin is going to the moon and will come back etc while the price keeps declining and they lose more money.

with that said it is a good time to make money too Wink
but it would be very hard and extremely risky, you can buy in the big dips and sell as soon as a dead cat bounce happens. that can be an easy small profit in a short term.

be careful and good luck...
