341  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Similar method to twitter hacks! Now on Facebook? on: July 25, 2020, 09:21:36 PM
Am involved Terrabit credit Bounty, when I got to the Facebook page and I found out their new post I just went ahead to click the comment and see how many people have said something so far and I found out this: https:
//pasteboard.co/Jj2REKC.jpg

Could this be something is fishy (as in the Account is hacked at the moment the post was made) or one of the team member is trying to do something stupid.

Stay at alert..🤔
Maybe one of the admin or moderators of the page was hacked I think. No one who is committed will do such a vile act toward a project. Upon checking the page, The comment was deleted and I hope that no one claims that they sent bitcoin to that wallet. This kind of hacking scheme to gather bitcoin all over social media sites is spreading now, So it's better having an extra security measure like 2FA on social media will greatly help.

Talking about 2AF security I think Facebook has already gotten that feature long time before now. My account also has it.

I will advice everyone to stay away from this thread there is no Bounty on this CPI yet. Wapinter posted the thread only here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5262325
343  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beware of loin share -newbies- on: July 24, 2020, 06:23:44 PM
I made a post about FORSAGE smart contract previously https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5257989.msg54680733#msg54680733 how this Ponzi scheme has been a hot and selling scheme, after a while it seems to have cooled down in my country and I know newbies I had warned about it coming to give me sad testimony about it, some will be stubborn and now the new one is
Lion share this is very similar with FORSAGE just with a different name LOIN SHARE. If good we want to make use of the lockdown due to covid-19 for the best and come out financially better, but it we should not lose money because of desperation in this lockdown period.

Newbies and everyone be careful with this

This is LION SHARE and they claim to be a smart contract that help you get ethereum by registering with ethereum, and the funny thing is newbie -gullible ones- has already started getting in.

I was checking their article and saw there crazy expectations of ethereum in days, -newbies- ETHEREUM DOES NOT GROW LIKE THAT. And investment that hides the truth from you is fake -growth and drop- are what can happen to any crypto-coin. And there is nothing like adding you into a group in cryptocurrency, not only are some -gullible ones- part of them but they share this foolishness to others.
Newbies beware of this types/kinds

Someone try to introduce this to me on my WhatsApp since am not aware of all this type of investment or let's say I don't welcome all this. I just shake my head and say not interested to such. I didn't even go further to ask for how it works I just love my instincts.
344  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is based on probability. on: July 24, 2020, 06:10:07 PM
A lot of people do not want agree that surviving in the market today requires every trader to come to terms that they are trading on probability and at every moment of the trade there are series of different possible outcomes.

As a trader, the best you can do is find the most likely scenario based on the data you have and understanding the risk involved too.
Choose the best probable outcomes that favors you to avoid stories as rekt.

It's a good thing to say but not all traders the market like you do. Some traders like want to make it sharply with no waste of time. Some understood this logic but no funds (money) to put it into work.

346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: 💰 [BOUNTY] $50 bonus! Register now at Currency.com 🔥🔥🔥 on: July 23, 2020, 04:07:07 AM
If you are giving out $50 as a bonus, that means it's not actually $50 you are giving out, you are giving out $30 because for one to get the $50 bonus just like its stated, one has to make a deposit of $20 to make it $50. On a second thought I guess you know this is like a GIVEAWAY thread which it's not allowed here.

Imagine someone deleting over 4800 posts   Shocked
Maybe he used some script to delete his posts, if something like this even exists.
It would be good if theymos add some option for people who want to delete or hide their account and some posts for privacy purposes.

I could remember creating a topic regarding to what you just said here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5245604 which I believe there should be a script for desktop users or let's say some sort of pattern that's use to delete multiple post rather than going through one by one.
349  Economy / Scam Accusations / Scammers everywhere Newbies please stay vigilant on: July 20, 2020, 06:03:05 AM
Greetings all and happy new week, now let's look into this, I believe we all remember COINPOT WALLET: https://coinpot.co back when we accumulate (mining) some coin like BITCOIN, DOGECOIN, DASH COIN, LITECOIN, AND BITCOIN CASH. probably it also can be used as a wallet you can store up your coin, but I don't give a full guarantee to store huge amount of funds at any online wallet. So let's cut the long explanation short I came across this on Facebook please take a look at the images below:

https://imgur.com/gallery/qCqaz6e

The scammer added "S" in between the Coin and the pot, when I click on the link it took me to a page where everything didn't load up clearly. You can also see in the picture he tag it as GIVEAWAY, just like twitter accounts were hacked and was also tag in the description as GIVEAWAY.

Now here is the real COINPOT  WALLET looks below:
1. https://pasteboard.co/JitS2jr.png
2. https://pasteboard.co/JitSsIH.png
3. https://pasteboard.co/JitSG9x.png

You can see few coins have been saving probably minding back when am newbies into crypto-currency

Please let's be vigilant on everything online that got to do with storing of money or let's say giveaways!
350  Other / Serious discussion / Such money was there but didn't get to the community on: July 18, 2020, 08:09:32 AM
Recently we have the case of twitter hacks, which trend all round social media and let's say the whole world at large since twitter is a popular platform. Now in the other hand to ask this:

** Was it due to greedy that those popular accounts that was hacked never contributed to help the community with their stored funds that's why the hacker had to pull up the stunt by using those accounts to get money from other twitter followers who fall in for such trick.
351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty hunters complains and they listens on: July 18, 2020, 02:56:21 AM
Many bounty managers don't like listening to what bounty hunters have in mind but this won't stop me from saying the name of two bounty managers that listens, they believe in fairness and good contribution of their bounty hunters

1. Bubbalex

A cool headed guy who spend time on projects and he is never in rush bringing new projects to his BHs, even after finding one he still warns bounty hunters not to trust his judge that he might be wrong. once too many people are joining his Campaign he always brings a limitation rules up.

2. Bounty Detective

Bounty detective are doing very good this year, they take their job very seriously and right now they are taking distributions of every bounty projects into their own very hands meaning they are using escrow, bounty payments are guaranteed

These two bounty managers listens to the audience and once too many participants are joining their campaigns they put up a stop to registration depending on the max worth of the bounty allocation.

I will definitely like to add more but these are the only two bounty hunters that I have something to say about presently

Probably I give in my best working for BOUNTY DETECTIVE, a bit what happened to me when going through different Campaign projects I am promoting. I was rejected on a project in the sense that the team thought am so kind of cheater because of many users might have used those tricks on them they don't get the job done but wants to get the money. To cut the long story short I provided my proof of work and he, gave me the assurance of getting my issues clear up from the desk of so many other people who also have issues. I really recommend them for their work.
352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ASLAproject | Trading. | Exchange. | Games. | Messenger. on: July 18, 2020, 02:42:09 AM
I think the Exchange still need some work to be done, newbies who don't understand trading can't go about the Exchange with what I just experience.
353  Other / Meta / Re: theymos/Cyrus @Bitcointalk twitter account on: July 16, 2020, 04:14:52 PM
Code:
https://twitter.com/bitcointalk

I don't know if hackers would even bother messing an account with 14K followers and zero post since Aug. 30, 2018.

Who controls the account btw?

You never can tell the purpose of most hackers some might use it to put you into trouble, or along the line use ur account to SCAM any member of your family. It's not about the number of followers you have.
354  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Twitter Hack Alert - Don't trust it now! on: July 16, 2020, 05:46:59 AM
Twitter responded and deleted the tweets
Some tweets are still up, such as the one on Elon's profile - or Joe Biden's..

This information is already viral, out here in Africa (Nigeria) the radio station has just announced, twitter accounts that are been hacked e.g
- Bill Gates
- Elon Musk
- Joe Biden
- Apple
- Uber
355  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Twitter Hack Alert - Don't trust it now! on: July 15, 2020, 10:22:06 PM
Please everyone pay attention and don't trust anything you read in Twitter now.
It appears that in has been compromised and all big accounts are hacked and posting random fake giveaways.

More information in scam accusation topic:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5262439

Don't click any links in Twitter now!

Twitter accounts hacked so far:
- Bitcoin
- Elonmusk
- Tron
- Ripple
- Justin Sun
- Bill gates
- Coindesk
- CZ_Binance
- Gemini
- Kucoin
- Gate .io
- Coinbase
- Binance

For sure am beginning to have this instinct that hackers are really back in Using big twitter accounts to do giveaways and probably it's not wise anymore to share your details online be it KYC.
356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🌟 ⚡[ANN][CPI TOKEN] CRYPTO PRICE INDEX [HOTBIT IEO] on: July 15, 2020, 10:19:16 PM
Hopefully to see this project launch a bounty Campaign, the team are great and the project is making a whole lot of sense. I think with the idea of using hotbit for the IEO is great start. Success!
357  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mindful of scammers and hackers on: July 14, 2020, 11:16:24 PM
Scammers and hackers are now threat to the world of cryptocurrencies, they are increasing in number daily, but what really surprised me is that many people will not still know about this but will still be scammed. Scammers and hackers are getting successful because many people lack knowledge of a particular aspect they invested on.

For example, someone joined a group on telegram for a legit airdrop (although most airdrops are not also legit), he posted ''hi'' and asked a question like "how can I collect the free airdrop" in the group, from their one of the scam members of a legit airdrop just messaged him posing like one of the bosses of the aridrop campaign answering him all the questions but just introduced him to an unknown business like mining telling him 24 hours return, he invested and got scammed.

I read on new yesterday about scam ways invogue and rising:
https://cointelegraph.com/news/crypto-scams-reach-new-heights-in-2020-with-24m-stolen-so-far
Whale Alert’s study, which relies on data from the crypto scam tracking site, Scam Alert, suggests that the popularity of dozens of different types of scams have been on the rise. Some of these include giveaways, sextortion, fake exchanges, fake ICO’s, Bitcoin recovery, video scams, fake tumblers, and malware.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5261948.msg54787438#msg54787438
I even read on this forum about someone complaining about an upgrade of electrum wallet that stole over $3 bitcoin from him, he mistakenly downloaded a fake upgrade for scammers, all his bitcoin gone at one time.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/crypto-scams-reach-new-heights-in-2020-with-24m-stolen-so-far
Even according to cointelegraph, the link above, I could not believe El one Musk can be scammed. Celebrity impersonation scams dominate
Whale Alert made case studies of a number of well known incidents. One of the most popular — in which scammers impersonated Elon Musk — made over $130,000 in a single day.

We should be careful, any slight mistake could ensue total loss of cryptocurrencies.
We need to be careful, read new all the time, know about scammers and any scam tricks but I am still surprised, since I have known about scammers five years back there is nothing new, their could be something new but I have not found one, in 2015, scammer and hack wallets like they did now. For example:

1. Through Fake ICO
2. Careless use of devices wallets are installed
3. Normal phishing attack, especially through email
4. Fake cloud mining
5. Airdrops
6. Fake wallets and exchanges. And many more like that.

I have known all these since three years ago and nothing new about it, but still people getting scammed, let us always tell our people, friends, family and people around us about these scam so that one day, they will avoid such too, the scam may not be new to you but what about people around you.

I want to let us understand that we should not take anything for granted and always be careful of scammers, let us always deal with our wallet devices carefully, install in new wallet updates from the official sites.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5262214.0
This is one of the latest posted scam tricks I have seen on this forum, the member is a newbie claiming to selling verified paxful account, this will definitely be a scam.

Please, I want to ask  question
1. How can we fully avoid scam in such a way not only us we not be affected but people around us too?
2. What can we do to let people in the whole world know about scam and avoid?

Question 1: Ans: is by not over looking post you probably know it's a scam post, you voice out ( alert) the next party not to endoged in. I think your question two is the same to question one.
358  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Now Legal In India? on: July 14, 2020, 11:10:29 PM
I'm so confused about India's idea about how they deal with the cryptocurrency, if they will legalize it or not.

They lack of affirmation whether they will allow people to use cryptocurrency or not.

Just like other countries, their decision towards cryptocurrency should be finalize so that it don't make any confusion or dismay to the people who are hoping for it to become legalized. Maybe their country is not that prepared regarding the proper regulation of cryptocurrencies into their economy. Probably, they lack of knowledge and experience in allowing it to regulate in the market that's why their decision is not that secured.

Out here in Africa (Nigeria) bitcoin ATMs is already trending, so if India is to legalised Crypto I bet it's a welcome development and a perfect adoption from my end.
359  Other / Meta / Re: Am I the oldest member here? on: July 13, 2020, 11:43:18 PM
Last month I has my 78th birthday, is there anyone here who is older than me. I can still remember snatches from the air raids in the second world war, and it is interesting how some things make such an impression on children's minds.

Obviously I have a lot of friends who are over sixty, and not many seem to be able to understand the concept of virtual assets, even when I cite the examples of stories, and fiat currencies.

Sorry to cut in sir or ma pointing out this error 🙈😂:
Quote
Last month I has my 78th birthday,
I think the right sentence is: Last month I had my 78th Birthday .
All the same happy 78th birthday on bitcointalk forum we are happy to still have you active here long life and prosperity and more worthy tokens to the wallet.
360  Other / Meta / Re: 6000+ posts and 0 merit...and the winner 🥇 is... on: July 12, 2020, 11:21:45 PM
it seems that this person is very passionate about doing social media bounty reports, until now.
so he became the most shitposter to reach 6000+ within 2 years.

If a report by posting to the bounty thread is considered shitposting, why isn't it prohibited, or is there a rule about shitposting the bounty report?

why not use a spreadsheet as a place to collect reports so that they don't become shitposting and don't become trash in the bounty thread.

I made a post about this: Which it goes by that all BM to handle any project they should use the form in making a report to their task just like what (bounty detective) are doing. This will so reduce having shit post of bounty reports on the forum. At least have seen who is more than me 😂😂🏃 I was obviously thinking am the worst shit poster because I so Much got involved in bounty.
