381  Other / Meta / Re: 6000+ posts and 0 merit...and the winner 🥇 is... on: June 26, 2020, 05:02:20 PM
I know it's "difficult" for some people to earn merit  but after almost 2 years in the forum and 6000+ posts.
Here i present you :

Rimidalv

Found him in the patrol, while checking some random posts Wink
Wow this is so ridiculous, I was even blaming my self for making over 800+ post and am not even a full member rank, and few legendaries was even mocking me for making so much post and hardly got a full member rank.🤣
382  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Does deleting of old post affects a participant who is handling signature? on: June 25, 2020, 08:35:47 PM
<…>
I haven’t encountered the case you mention going over an end of 2018 full profile database I’ve got (provided by @piggy at the time), being the number of posts is consistent with at least the minimum Activity range value.

There are some limited cases (those with at least 1 earned merit) that I can detect as de-ranked, having a high initial rank to begin with. Wolf0 is probably the worst case, having gone from Legendary or (Hero with 1K Merits) back to Member. desynct went from Hero member to Brand New (and subsequently seems to have abandoned the account after the event).
I can't recall when I encounter things in the forum exactly, tried to search and I found this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1226681.msg16290560#msg16290560
The account isn't hero anymore after few days?
Or there was a change when the merit system was implemented?
Or does it take days to demote a hero +/- legendary?
I still believe legendary is a permanent rank unless there was a recent change that I am not aware of? Cannot be the only one here encountering this before 2018!
Am not ranked to that membership yet so I probably don't even know what might have happened to that account or possibly that account might have endoged on some kind of spamming or scamming. My issue here is different to what you brought up. Thanks...
383  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Does deleting of old post affects a participant who is handling signature? on: June 25, 2020, 10:18:00 AM
As stated by Welsh, that only depends on your campaign manager and has nothing to do with forum rules.
I think the best thing you can do is to send a message to your campaign manager and let him/her know why your post count has decreased.
I just did, so as I got the replies on this post, it's likely to be that there is no problem deleting the old post but I should make sure I meet up my week post as stated by the rules of the signature Campaign.
384  Other / Meta / Re: [TOP-200] Members who support newbies - Thanks! on: June 24, 2020, 04:09:57 PM
This is quite alarming that definitely we are having more and more good quality content on bitcointalk as a whole. Which it's Also given newbies that motives to keep bringing up good content to educate and add to the growth of the forum.
385  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Does deleting of old post affects a participant who is handling signature? on: June 24, 2020, 03:40:36 PM
Depends on the campaign manager. If the campaign manager counts the number of posts during a period then it should be unaffected. However, if a campaign manager is solely basing it on post count, then it may well be effect you. Most of the good signature campaign managers will be reviewing the amount of posts within the period that they're paying for though. Honestly, some of the lower quality campaigns out there, and there's a lot of them in the altcoin section, are not counting during a period, and are simply looking at the total post count during a time period.

On a forum viewpoint, a deleted post on its own will not have any effect on your signature. Although, some users do receive signature bans for certain actions taken on the forum such as spamming etc.
Ok now am getting a clear understanding about it, why am asking this is due to my activities of Bounties Campaign back then it's really Much few members was kind of mocking me that I have some many activities to be a full member but am still on member rank which is due to all those post of bounty reports I have submitted on those past bounties thread. I just want to clear it up, so my account will look much better.
386  Other / Beginners & Help / Does deleting of old post affects a participant who is handling signature? on: June 24, 2020, 12:19:09 PM
Greetings to everyone going through this topic, Now a quick question to the legendaries on Bitcointalk, much as to those who have been in Bitcointalk forum for a long time (years). Please does deleting of my old previous post that has been made for years on BITCOINTALK FORUM affects my present activities when it comes to Bounty signature Campaign that am handling presently. I believe few users just like newbies who know nothing about bounty signature Campaign will love to get you contributions. Thanks ✌️
387  Other / Meta / Re: What is considered spam? on: June 22, 2020, 09:07:52 PM
I'm new to this site, and I want to start off by making good quality posts right from the get-go. I want to avoid becoming a "spam-poster", or anything of the sort and learn more about the forum. How would I know if my posts are considered spam or high enough quality? I plan to be insightful with my posts and only engage in conversations that seem productive.

Making a quality post is by thinking from the box of your knowledge what is needed in the forum that people most learn and gain knowledge from it. Post that as indicated as spam is when you just go round the forum and keep repeating one particular topic or post. And as well know making sense in what you post.
388  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade by yourself on: June 22, 2020, 09:02:16 PM
There are several traces of newbies finding signals here and there to trade, but it is wrong. Believe me If you want to trade consistently and profitably just learn how to do it yourself no matter how difficult or how long it takes.

You can subscribe to signals if you're the type who wants to earn while you learn but long term.... Learn trading by yourself

I love the advice, now am picking this WORD:
Quote
learn how to do it yourself no matter how difficult or how long it takes.
when I was learning trading on a WhatsApp group till today my mentor is surprised of the kind of knowledge I got. Know the secret is this while we all were learning trading I was also busy doing research as well watching YouTube videos and following lots of professional traders. So it's good to pick that motives of doing things your self than be lazy to learn.
389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: Question! Can I give away coins here? on: June 21, 2020, 03:50:27 PM
Trying to give without condition.

It's not big money,

I like this coin and donate it.

Can I do it?

You are free to do so, as far as it's not a giveaway Campaign if not your post will be flag and probably you may get a ban.
390  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you make a trade or investment decision? on: June 20, 2020, 12:48:36 PM
Interest come in first before the next move for investment come up. You therefore need to build or have such interest in the project before you go forward to analyse. From analysing the coin you want to buy, you study the technology and uses before a conclusion to invest or not.

Definitely a good point to look before going to make a decision of what you're putting out your money for, now when putting all this upfront don't listen to FUD: it's "means of spreading fake news" because this alone will cut of your mind on what you want rather take a proper research again before conclusion.
391  Other / Meta / Re: LoyceV's complete List of all Bitcointalk usernames on: June 20, 2020, 12:40:09 PM
Viewing all members has been "temporarily disabled" for as long as I can remember, so I made a list myself.

Another reason to make this, is that I often need to find the userID that goes with a username. I can't easily get this from the forum, which is why until recently I used BPIP for this. Unfortunately, a small percentage of users are missing from BPIP.
So I made my own Cheesy

There are 2 versions, each with all 2.7 million userIDs.

I my self has been trying to figure out why it's been disabled for this long, was there a big reason for that? Because going through this post you made am literally confused on what am to do if am to download this:

or am just to click it and view up the list using my browser.
392  Other / Meta / Re: Allowing NEWBIES to keep flooding and handling scam projects On Bitcointalk on: June 20, 2020, 12:32:29 PM
I see someone has just bumped those six threads in the one section.  Roll Eyes

Here's a challenge - pick six random threads in that same section ( Bounties (Altcoins) ) and use your bump powers to bump those other threads up thereby pushing these six threads way, way down the list.  If they aren't that good then they will be hidden from sight and soon forgotten.

BTW @Timmzzy - your activity says you should be a Hero Member, but you've barely made just ten merits (not 510 merits)

this 👆, back then I was just more into Bounty which are Bounty reports that made the activities so. I will go through all of my old Bounty reports and get rid of them.

Am yet to understand this Bumb;

of a thing right here on bitcointalk which am still studying more about Bitcointalk forum.
393  Other / Meta / Re: Allowing NEWBIES to keep flooding and handling scam projects On Bitcointalk on: June 19, 2020, 09:03:20 PM
1. Can't a strict rule come into play that newbies are not allowed to make Bounty post on this forum other than well-known Bounty Manager's that has Been on bitcointalk for a long time: e.g WAPINTER, BOUNTY DETECTIVE and so many of them you know.
If project choose to handle the job by a newbie, then what's problem of you? Avoid the bounties which are managed by them. It's we people who are feeding them to launch more.
It's none of forum issue. You can move it to altcoin service discussion.

Am not against projects been handled by newbies, but in a clear sense there should be where it is indicated that so so and so project gave them the go ahead. And for your information we have newbies too who are getting into Bitcointalk forum newly and mind you they don't really know their way around here what if they become an example of being scammed. This is for example if am to back out and never to talk about this.
394  Economy / Reputation / Re: Earned Merit Race Animation - See if you ever got to top20 merited. on: June 18, 2020, 05:41:01 AM
I am studying python and I managed to do something with @LoyceV's merit data and this nice website called Flourish Studio.

I cannot post videos here, so here is the image. Click in the image to see the animation:

Alternatively, you can click here for the animation.
https://public.flourish.studio/visualisation/2867199/

I will make Merit Senders race soon (I hope to get to that animation at least lol) Smiley

Edit: I can make animations per request. For a different group of users for example. as suggested by 1miau
Merit Senders animation

The range between @LoyceV's and @Thermos is quite alarming, it's like @LoyceV's is likely to over throne thermos on Merits. Lets keep observation on. But I probably believe Thermos wont want that to happen 😀😀🤸
395  Other / Meta / Allowing NEWBIES to keep flooding and handling scam projects On Bitcointalk on: June 18, 2020, 05:29:33 AM
Greetings all, I believe we are having great days ahead no matter the covid19 pandemic in the world, Sure we should.

Now quickly let's go into something I really want to voice out. It's pertaining NEWBIES accounts making a huge mess on bitcointalk forum as a whole, probably it might not be a serious discussion to talk about since one have to make a choice of which bounty project he or she will take part in and depending on the Bounty Manager (BM) Handling such Bounty Campaign project. Because I know that None of those projects companies will want their projects to be handled by a Newbies, just like having a company that's doing well and you want it to grow more and be popular you now give the company to a newborn baby that doesn't know left or right of the Business to handle for you. That's really not possible, right?

Few list of Bounty projects posted by newbies I came across, Which I know we have more of them.

1. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5255410.0
2. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5255664.0
3. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5254397.0
4. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5255979.0
5. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5254948.0
6. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5253668.0

Now My questions are:

1. Can't a strict rule come into play that newbies are not allowed to make Bounty post on this forum other than well-known Bounty Manager's that has Been on bitcointalk for a long time: e.g WAPINTER, BOUNTY DETECTIVE and so many of them you know.

2. Can't it be just from well-RANKED members up other than Newbies flooding Bitcointalk with fake BOUNTY projects?
396  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best trading platform? on: June 16, 2020, 09:49:49 PM
I need your assistance  to understand which is the best trading platform apart from binance as I have mixed experience when it comes to trading as my experience with binance was smooth and really productive but I had terrible  experience  with other trading platforms like coinbene  and all as it's  ruined by the bot trading.  Kindly suggest the best trading site apart from binance along with your experience

I won't say we have a best trading platform on the Crypto system, why because in every good thing there are few trials and errors before it came out to be the best even if you will say BINANCE OR BITTREX is the best trading platform for cryptocurrency today there are some day you will get disappointed I mean so disappointed that you will even hate your self. All of the good things or let's say the best in the Crypto world today is by the help of God.
397  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Have you ever made a deposit and haven't received it in your account? on: June 16, 2020, 09:42:38 PM
Have you ever deposited a currency in one of the sites or exchanges and did not receive the currency in your account.  I means that the withdrawal was already done in your first account but did not reach your second account on the other exchange and remained on the network. Is this possible? What can be done?

This has happened to me on bitforex, I transferred a token down there, with the required gas from my imtoken wallet to the Exchanger site where am to sell off the token. It was just a $9 to $10 worth of it. Now on the other hand the gas system came up high and the token was stock in network up till today I didn't check in for the token again before that even got to the point they want to scam me with another means on how to make the token land on Exchanger wallet.

Please read up this line:

398  Other / Meta / Re: What rewards does the one who Merits someone for quality post gets in return? on: June 15, 2020, 08:54:10 AM
Implementing a reward system will reduce the quality as more members will merit post just to achieve rewards. The current concept which is in practice is working as it has improved the quality of post.

It would be nice if a Merit system can be added for those who are reporting spam content in the forum. This will drastically reduce spam post by a significant amount. I know it is increase the pressure on moderators a lot but it will help the forum in the long run.

Trust me if this👇

many cheaters on this forum will find a means to accumulate lots of merits using alternate accounts to create SCAM TOPICS . All in the name of accumulation of Merits.
399  Other / Meta / Re: Theymos vs Roger Ver on: June 15, 2020, 08:46:03 AM
What really happened was that in 2012 he posted his Bitcoinica topic twice: once mistakenly in the Russian section, and once in the proper section. Then recently a Russian user happened to stumble across the Russian duplicate for some reason, reported it as non-Russian-language, and a Russian mod archived it. The real topic with replies was never touched. You can verify all of this with archive.org if you want.

I wonder if he's actually paranoid enough to believe that I'm secretly editing this kind of ancient history for some arcane reason (while also sending out notifications about it), or if it's pure propaganda. I've always found it amusing how Roger Ver, who styles himself some "high-powered CEO", seems to get so worked up about little old me, a 4chan troll at heart who admits to having essentially zero personal ambition.

Well, sir you know in life one will definitely have a competitor. So is good you find it amusing with all the act he pulled up there. And not to take things too further. Once again Happy birthday sir
