721  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What problems cryptocurrency will face in the near future? on: October 10, 2018, 10:15:26 PM
Specifically in the next 5 years, what do you think will be the greatest challenge or problem that the crypto market will face, and how do you think the market will overcome this problem? I also wonder if AI can help crypto trading safer and free from hacking and scamming?

Even without going into the future as we speak we face problems like shitcoins/tokens running around the CRYPTO atmosphere and also lots of scam activities happening around we are already facing those problems. We need proper regulations let every ICOs project be properly investigated.
722  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do we get the women on board? on: October 09, 2018, 10:07:03 PM
It is my belief that the majority of bitcoin users are males. Females, please prove me wrong through the poll.

Moving on, assuming that my belief is correct, the question is how we get them on board?

Let my first state that I think there is a difference in what would attract men and women to bitcoin. Men are more attracted to the avante garde aspect and the technological aspect, while women are more concerned with which technology works best for them now.
They want shinies, they want fast transfers, they might won over by ideology, but probably not the ideology of libertarianism. They want to use the system that their favorite site uses, and they want to use the system their friends use. This by the way probably describes how mainstream males think too.

Shinies:

Lets face it. Bitcoin, in its current state, is not shiny. To make a metaphor, it looks like a very advanced piece of technology with wires going everywhere. Contrast this with the "Apple look".
100 private keys is probably NOT the way to go. It is complicated, and ugly (it could be an option but not standard(
Proposal: One private key should be standard. It should not be in hex, bas64, or anything else ugly. One thing that could work would be a sort of dictionary encoding, where every 20 bits or whatever is mapped to a word. The word in the dictionary would have to be carefully selected to be positive, or at least neutral. If this is chosen, there should be a "generate new address", so that people could click until they found one they were satisfied with.
The websites used with bitcoins are not pretty either (exchanges+this site). Contrast for instance with this:
http://www.westernunion.se/web-inf/images/yes/heroAreaCanIAlone013009.swf (western union)
this is what the sites should have to attract women, I believe.
Proposal: Find a professional designer that takes a look at the bitcoin client. Preferably one who knows nothing at all about the technology behind. Hide the details of implementation, remember how Object Orientation works Wink

Fast transfers:

Bitcoins are a lot faster than banktransfers, but they can absolutely not compete with visa/mastercard/paypal in terms of speed. This IS a serious problem.
I think the advice given to businesses should be that they should accept transfers directly, or after one confirmation. If there is a reversal accept that as a fact of life. For sites with few but large sales, this may not be the way to go, but for transactions under 10 bitcoin this should def. be the standard. An alternative would be to pay instantly via for instance MtGox, but that would centralize the system, which I believe we don't want.

Ideology:

Cypher punk is cool, but does not have mainstream appeal, especially among women. We should tone that aspect down, no one cares about it. Thought should be given to whether a more appealing ideology could be retrofitted so to speak.
Suggestion: "Your local business is struggling to survive under the death grip of credit card fees. (Pic of small local store. Beautiful female clerk, with lots of styling looks sad, hopeless). But there is a cheaper alternative. Use bitcoin, support your local stores. (Clerk smiling)."
This might be construed as too patriotic for some. Too balance it we should emphasize how easy it is to donate to overseas charities, and buy from overseas stores.

Favorite sites:

This is a hard one obviously. We should try to push existing sites to use bitcoins as much as possible (details about doing this are abundant in other threads of course).
We should also try to new stores accepting bit coins to speed up the process. One thing that has been forgotten though, is the focus on stores selling items for women.

Friends:

Site should have a like button. Encourage users to blog/tweet/comment whenever they use bitcoins for a transaction.

I love the question here, actually I have few ladies have known who are into Cryptocurrency, some in Bounties hunting and some in trading of bitcoin as a whole, Getting to the point of understanding blockchain I don't think is that simple in the side of women to the side of men, it will really take time and women don't like to stress for Money.
723  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do you search online for prices in bitcoin? on: October 09, 2018, 10:03:14 PM
I'm curious how people around the world search for Bitcoin prices, and discover the price of bitcoin.

I realize many of you likely already have sites you prefer to visit to see the latest prices, such as coinmarketcap. That's not what I'm asking here in this question.

What I'm asking is, if you search, or were to search online for the price of bitcoin or any other coin, how would you do it?

For example, for myself:

A. I am in the United States
B. I search on Google
C. I search in English
D. I search using the query "bitcoin price"
E. I want the price in USD
F. The top result is an answer from Google showing the latest BTC price in USD.

To make it standard, you could answer in the following format:

A. I am in [Country]
B. I search on [Search Engine]
C. I search in [Language]
D. I search using the query ["Phrase"]
E. I want the price in [Currency]
F. The top result is [Top Search Engine Result]

This will be interesting to see how an international community searches online and discovers bitcoin/coin prices worldwide.

The main analysis to this your question I make use or preev.com that's where we get the actual price of bitcoin which have not encountered any other platform to give me the live actual price of bitcoin as a whole.
724  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Did bounty hunters really get token for free? on: October 09, 2018, 03:33:09 PM
We don't get Tokens for free as a bounty Hunter I really have out my time, data and full concentration to lots of projects. Even in free town nothing is free everything we do out here has its own sacrifice one have to pay.
725  Economy / Speculation / Re: No Bitcoin bullrun this year. on: October 08, 2018, 10:31:08 PM
A lot of people telling that there will be no Bitcoin bullrun this year. Do you think it is TRUE? I am worried because Bitcoins price might fall to the lowest this year.

I doubt if this year we will have a bull run, I my self have some bad feelings all I see is predictions and sentimental analysis. The market is really scary to dig in. Never the less we just keep fingers crossed, CRYPTO is here to stay.
726  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My luck is very bad for crypto trading 😞 on: October 08, 2018, 10:27:28 PM
I think my luck is very bad. I can not earn good profits on cryptocurrency trading any day. An example of this is Doge coin. I invested in Doge coin probably 2 months ago. Which I bought 39 satoshi and bought a total of 126000 doge coins. It was almost 2-3 weeks, I did not check the price. But when I check price on coinmarketcap a few days ago, see Doge coin 100 satoshi cross. After that I was very happy. But when I login into exchange, for selling Doge coin, I was shocked, seeing that my coins were sold in 49 satoshi. I did not remember when I had a sell order. After seeing that I was upset. That was not the first time, before several times, I could not sell many coins at a good price 😞

But finally, an education has realized that if you buy a coin for long or short time, then you should check price minimum one time every day.

Trading is not all about luck, you need a good lecture on trading let's say you might join some Whatsapp groups if you are opportune to. I started trading by my self after I have really gone through lots of Articles and watch some tutoring videos on YouTube. What you need is a good mentoring before you jump in trading.
727  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you manage your profits in trading? on: October 08, 2018, 10:22:20 PM
I know it's advisable to buy low and sell your coin at a higher price. What I don't understand is that when you sell high, do you suppose to buy so that your profit will not depreciate when the price is going low? I need an expert to clarify me, Thanks.

All this depends on how your trading style goes, if you are good enough on TA ( technical analysis)  and with a good FA (fundamental analysis) you buy when price has dip and sell when it has moon to your desired point. You don't have to buy back at that same position because it might drop down on you. Like I said with a good analysis you will make it good.
728  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day trading, the very beginning on: October 06, 2018, 10:05:03 AM
Hi guys,

I'm considering to start day trading. Before now i'm in the crypto world from more than a year. I'm minner and i made some good profit from icos, but the current condition of the market is terrible for icos. If they don't don't adjust i can't see any profit in them for now. So i want to try day trading in crypto, while the volatility is still prespective for not so hard profit.

October im planning to spend the month for learning about day trading in crypto.
I would be glad to hear from you any suggestions for books, courses (prefer even more expensive from traders which are with good experience and results in this market) and everything which could be useful for the very beginning.

Thank you!

I think with some few search out there you should get going definitely I engaged in Google search and lots of reading which I wasn't recommend any because I wanted doing everything on my own not with some sort of suggestions and at the later end I don't understand so just take a bold step and dig in YouTube is there even you can see some brilliant ideas right here on BITCOINTALK forum.
729  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto After Death? on: October 06, 2018, 09:59:45 AM
Have you ever wondered what will happen to your cryptocurrency when you die, for those holding huge funds, what have you put in place to make sure your kids or family benefit from your crypto savings.
This is quite fascinating because if you know someone with huge crypto savings and he gave up the ghost, I wonder how such families would benefit from his savings since he alone has the private key to his/her wallet.
I guess this is one reason some user still prefer banking Institutions, because they made provision for next of kin unlike crypto.
So my question is what happen to those crypto when the owner of such wallet is no more and no one has access to such wallet?

In my own case I do enlighten my junior sister about Cryptocurrency and how it works besides no one is dying now. And in turn have not gotten a family yet but at this stage I just put my closest person in our family in front.
730  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Many projects are dead? on: October 05, 2018, 10:27:03 PM

Currently on the coinmarketcap site only about 1590 projects compared to at times more than 1700 projects. They have left many projects without developers or scam projects. I personally invested in some of these projects and lost a lot of money like bitconect and centra. Do you trust the projects you are investing in and will keep them for a long time until they succeed or are they just looking for profit in the short term?

I remember investing in bitconnect which I presume at that time it was due to government regulations which many said its a scam and it was at my first time trial and that took my whole money I invested. in which I wasn't prepared for it like doing a proper investigation by then. I was just recommend by it through a friend and I will use this medium to say nobody should invest in a project just because he or she is told that the project is promising without doing a proper research.
731  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Acceptance. on: October 05, 2018, 09:58:42 PM
If bitcoin were to be accepted, on the condition that it should be regulated. Do you think it should be done, disregarding its decentralized nature?

Disregarding it's a Decentralized nature, I think it's should be accepted this should be done by big companies and organisations at large which I turn we know it has a future to stay and we need to understand the potential benefits and risk it involves.
732  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I join 50 bounties on: October 04, 2018, 10:22:21 PM
I join 50 bounties and spent my time in front of a computer what was reasonable..?

Wow it's amazing, do you only work on projects? don't have another job? school maybe, or college, or work real? because your daily life is just in front of the internet and your project is so much, how can you manage it?

I my self I handle up to 20 Bounties and it's all done on my phone and I get to meet up all that in a day every week. Regarding having other things I attend to I still meet up it's called Hustle.
733  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I join 50 bounties on: October 04, 2018, 10:19:55 PM
I join 50 bounties and spent my time in front of a computer what was reasonable..?

This is really outrageous, it's going to take your time and I think you should take it as your full time job, definitely you will get paid for all the work been done but is not going to be easy to handle. Just do the little you can.
734  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: KYC to airdrops is it good? on: October 03, 2018, 10:20:06 PM
I don't think KYC for airdrops offered is fair for those who joined. Some ICO with airdropping is not also fine to get KYC for tokens worth almost nothing or a burger meal is not really fine. I observed it in some ICOs with airdrops that even with giveaways like that so small needs KYC? Don't fall for it guys, not worth it.

Definitely I don't fall for a KYC AirDrops I give a big space to it, my information is very important to me I can't just go flying it out just because of AirDrops Newbies be wise and never fall for it. This is a  very good information to everyone.
735  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Beware of YoBit exchange everyone on: October 03, 2018, 10:05:00 PM
I just want to warn everyone.  YoBit blocked my account for no reason.  They now ignore me and basically stole my funds.  There are way too many good exchange to use so BEWARE.  I reported some strange price activity and they blocked me.  NOT A GOOD EXCHANGE TO INVEST WITH.

Binanace, Cryptopia, Coin Exchange, STEX I have had no issues with and no strange pricing activity.

Just sharing to help everyone out there.

Sorry about the loss, definitely I don't make use of yobit right from the very beginning I created an account there and I keep having this errors I let go and never to get close to it the only true Exchangers I was recommended is bittrex and binance for my trading. Is good everyone take note of most EXCHANGERS today.
736  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We need to change on: October 02, 2018, 10:09:12 PM
I have only gained good things from cryptocurrencies (they have changed my life for the better), however, I am frustrated at those who are in for money, and only money. They hurt themselves as well as cryptocurrencies future. I am sad that I still can't use bitcoin to purchase the things I want, as it isn't used as a payment currency/method. I am sad that there are big financial institutions that want (and do their best) to wipe the crypto world out, and instead of working together as a crypto-community to thrive, we are fighting, arguing, and scamming each other. Where I live, the government relentlessly tightens and destroys our financial lives—I was lucky to have found salvation in cryptocurrencies when others struggled.

We need to show the world that we are not just a bunch of wanna-be millionaires, that we actually care.

I just wish things will turn out other way round where Cryptocurrency will be the talk in every shopping site around is not all about making the money, are we heading somewhere is my question.? Cryptocurrency has really changed my life which I alone have seen the difference and I think New generation to come will pick up.
737  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty Hunter's Problem on: October 02, 2018, 10:01:00 PM
It's that True if you are a truly bounty hunter you will experienced to promote a scam project ico ?

Well am getting to join Bounties for my Frist time and in other words I use my instinct to promote for any company with a good research I don't think one have to go through in promoting a SCAM ICO. I think is even getting interesting and easy at this time where everyone will have to work hand in hand with his or her own research before they make decisions.
738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time to buy? on: October 02, 2018, 09:56:03 PM
Hello what do you think about situation on market? Will price of crypto go up to reach new records or it is going down again?

No one can predict the ways of the market what you see around is just speculations and sentiment analysis. What I will advice is always buy at the dip and sell high buy dip and sell high. Also with a good FA and TA attached to your knowledge you will make it out.
739  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Trading Platform on: October 01, 2018, 10:49:38 PM
If you are new to crypto trading, and looking for a platform to trade, here are some platforms I use.
Share with all of you Cheesy

1. Binance (Strongly recommended)
2. Bitfinex (Stable, not many coins available)
3. Bithumb (ps:security issue happened, consider well)
4. Upbit (Korea exchanges)

Welcome to other suggestion Wink

*******Additional information************
Recommended by FlamingFingers : Bittrex - 2 years exp. and No issue ever

When I started trading my own platform was bittrex which was the most recommended when it comes to security reasons back when binance was coming up it got lots of hacking threats all round. But in my own pick I will go for binance and bittrex the rest I can't really speak for.
740  Other / Serious discussion / Re: How do you feel about not psysically know people from the forum? on: October 01, 2018, 10:44:04 PM
I especially ask those of you who have been here more than two years, although all comments are welcome.

On the forum, you interact with people every day but you only see a nickname.

I’ve been on other forums before and you get one day when someone says that a certain member has died. That person knew him personally and that is why is saying it on the forum. And then, you think of some debates you shared with him, but all you can remember of him is a soul hidden under a nickname. You feel a bit sad, but not nearly as sad as if you had meet him in person.

I’ve been thinking that I’ll probably be on this forum for many years, getting increasingly involved, and then I think that all people I’ll interact with are souls hidden under nicknames.

In any kind of forum it is good to not personally know many people for privacy reasons (unless they were your friends before), but especially on this one it is more important. If you have been here for many years, you are probably loaded, and that’s why you have to be careful.

For me, the forum is motivating but has this a bit sad part.

Yes to me I feel kinda awkward, due to I can't see any one picture I just see nicknames and I believe this forum is the largest of it all in the Crypto atmosphere which in terms we say this is where the journey of bitcoin and other Cryptocurrency start and I believe lots of billionaires and millionaires came out from this forum. Definitely is a big room getting to know any one. Adding to that I guess it keeps your identity safe with you.
