ALL Users, Pool owners and Exchange owners please take time to update your wallet or daemon ASAP.
Even those that aren't mining? If I have some iCoins on an older wallet, will I lose them if I don't install the new one? And how to transfer them from the old one to the new one? You will be unaffected as far as receiving and storing your coins as they are tied to your wallet address. However, you will want to upgrade your wallet before you send any coins. You don't transfer any coins when you upgrade the wallet, the new wallet will read your wallet.dat file that has your coins in it.

Everyone is forgetting the key ingredient here, this is gambling. There are a lot of people out there that will try and play the odds on the chance they'll get that big payout. You'll never get everyone to stop buying pre-orders because of this and thus the cycle will continue.

EDIT: I suggested to Sphere to convert the Price Stabilization Mechanism, into a permanent Charity Fund, that Globe could use to attract attention in the media, but most importantly to change people's life on this planet. Something like the Water Project, which have sustainable projects all over the "Globe". That is something that could be discussed in the forum. We could be the only currency with a "Donation built-in every block!" - that would be unique.... one drop of water every minute...
I say no to the permanent charity fund, that's essentially asking miners to donate their hashes to something they won't see the benefit of. It sounds noble and all, but let's be real we're all here to make money. It would also be too easy to alienate miners and investors if they don't approve of the charity. On the flip side of that, I feel it would make it too easy for an investor to exert their influence to get the charity of their choice to receive the donations, "or else". One last thing, other than the name the price stabilization mechanism and inflation are what makes this coin different from most of the rest, and that's even a stretch now that Doge has 10k block reward indefinitely. If it wasn't for those two things I wouldn't have bothered with Globe and I'm sure others think the same. What needs to happen is to get the price stabilization in place because as of right now this coin is not really different than any of the other coins out now.

15 days and no Cryptsy? Yeah I'm calling it, this coin is officially dead.

Added to OP: What is a Benjamin? The United States one hundred-dollar bill ($100) is a denomination of United States currency featuring statesman, inventor, and diplomat Benjamin Franklin on the obverse of the bill. On the reverse of the banknote is an image of Independence Hall. The $100 bill is the largest denomination that has been printed since 1969, when the denominations of $500, $1,000, $5,000, and $10,000 were retired
The Bureau of Engraving and Printing says the average life of a $100 bill in circulation is 90 months (7.5 years) before it is replaced due to wear and tear. The bills are also commonly referred to as "Benjamins", in reference to the use of Benjamin Franklin's portrait on the denomination, or "C-Notes", based on the Roman numeral for 100. The bill is one of two denominations printed today that does not feature a President of the United States; the other is the $10 bill, featuring Alexander Hamilton. The time on the clock of Independence Hall on the reverse, according to the U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing, shows approximately 4:10 on the older contemporary notes and 10:30 on the series 2009A notes in 2013
On April 24, 2013, the Federal Reserve announced the new $100 bill would enter circulation on October 8, 2013. The new bill will cost 12.6 cents to produce and have a blue ribbon woven into the center of the currency with "100" and Liberty Bells, alternating, that appear when the bill is tilted
According to the Federal Reserve, more than two thirds of all $100 notes circulate outside of the United States making it the most popular banknote
Thankfully you didn't decide to call them C-Notes. Just imagine seeing the trading pair BTC/CNT up on an exhcange.

I'm getting a big fat 0 connections with the windows wallet; was hoping to do some solo mining too. Any tips? I added all the nodes on the front page post (benjamins.conf?) as well as a couple others I found browsing through the forum.
Try these addnodes, they got me synced a couple days ago. addnode=95.85.39.131 addnode=97.112.91.126 addnode=192.227.160.84 addnode=71.240.166.229

1.7th over at pittythepool.com, we need to spread the hashes around more.

I give up.
I still can't get the wallet to sync, I'll just consider my Bens in there as lost.
And it is syncing... stupid wallet is trying to make my head explode.
You're not the only one.

I need some help, my wallet isn't syncing. I let it go overnight but it still says no block sources available. Any suggestions? Here's my benjamins.conf
check the .conf file, make sure it's named Benjamins.conf not Benjamins.conf.txt or Benjamins.txt It's named correctly, in the correct location and all that. I have no issues syncing any of my other wallets so I wouldn't think it's a firewall issue. I'm kind of stumped on this one. I've got version 0.8.6-11 from the front page a couple days ago. These nodes were just pulled with getpeerinfo 1 min ago so they are good for sure. del the nodes u have and add the ones below, save ur list to a txt file incase u need them again. addnode=95.85.39.131 addnode=97.112.91.126 addnode=192.227.160.84 addnode=71.240.166.229 That seems to be the ticket. Thanks!

Looks good But I only see LOBE in the header (don't know if i'm the only one) I think that's due to your screen resolution. Looks fine on my pc. Anyone else having this issue ? . If so I might replace it with something else. It looked fine on mine as well

Anyone know what's going on with ecoining.com? The page loads terribly slow and when it does it says my token is expired. I also haven't gotten a payout from them since yesterday.

After finally finding a block I have to say this is probably the smoothest bonus/giveaway I've seen yet. Granted it does favor those with higher hash rates, but that's the way she goes sometimes. Good job devs.
Thanks CryptoGuy, Perhaps one day soon iCoin will be on your signature display, then we know we moving in the right direction. Are we there yet

at current diff you need 664k share, im sure thats the problem.
okay, could be possible. I always thought that I also get a block unless it is not rejected or orphaned. but I do like to disabuse. can anyone else confirm this? I kept a close eye on it yesterday until I found a block and the bonus payment was in addition to the regular block payout so I'm guessing there was an issue with that one. Before everyone starts freaking out about ic.mepool.cc, here's the last block I found this morning: EDIT: Ironically enough, the unconfirmed block in your screenshot is the one I found. Weird.

anybody else getting horrible payouts? multi pool 24 hours 283 doges, gimme a break. Fast pool for 2 hours 1.someshit doges, I'm trying netcodepool now. what the hell is going on today?
you still don't understand it's pointless mining a coin with endless supply?...*go ask Big Gavin why Bitcoin is valuable==> limited supply!!! ;-) worse can be said to BTC. Last BTC to be produced in year 2140 (over 100 years from now), is equivalent to "unlimited" supply during my life time. and who knows if the consensus over the next 126 years is to make BTC "unlimited" too. but that's beyond my life time for me to care about. It has linear inflation until all the coins are mined which means you know exactly how many are going to be mined each year. Unlike current fiat currencies where they can print up unlimited amounts whenever they want so it's a guessing game how much more will flood the market.
