341  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if someone forgot the key to their bitcoin wallet ? on: June 19, 2018, 06:50:50 PM
What are the measures to keep your private key safe and in memory ? Are there any alternatives to retrieve the key back ?

Write it down or print it out then store it at a very secure place where in only you have an access to that piece of paper. Always remember that the faintest ink is always better than the sharpest mind. You can't tell or predict what will happen to you in the future. God forbids, if something happens to your memory, you won't be able to access your funds if you lose access of your wallet and private key.
342  Economy / Speculation / Re: When is bitcoin bouncing back on: June 19, 2018, 06:46:34 PM
No one can really tell or predict the price of bitcoin. The best thing that you should do is just hold on to your coins and wait for the next bitcoin halving on the month of May next year 2019. I'm sure that by this time the value of bitcoin will be not be lower than $10k. As mining difficulty increases, its value will increase as well. We'll just wait what the future will bring when it comes to crypto values.

Hope Madz is doing okay.
344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Travelling with Cryptocurrency? Do you declare it at immigration ? on: June 19, 2018, 09:43:58 AM
There is a minimum threshold one is allowed to travel beyond immigration border. In my country , you can't travel with more than $10,000;Unless you document and declare it.  Do you think I need to declare my cryptocurrency to the immigration? OR should I keep mute. My fear is I might be charge with money laundering if I later exchange my crypto at my destination and the authorities found out. Any body with experience to share with me.

As long as you are not bringing cash with you then no need to worry about your crypto. Those crypto that you have in your wallet has been taxed by the government and they can't do anything if you're going to exchange it into cash anywhere in the world. As long as you are not doing illegal stuff with your money.
345  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] IOS - Signature & Avatar Campaign | Up to $150/week - (Extended) on: June 19, 2018, 03:37:32 AM
Guys I am the moderator for Iost Telegram Group, I messaged to our Admin Manager about the situation and I got this reply "The bounty manager is a contractor and we are now aware of the problem and will make sure it gets sorted out in the near future"

Hope that the participants' time and effort won't be put to waste. Since from the start we are already very patient about Madz way of handling this campaign. I know that you guys won't just neglect this kind of behavior from our manager which just took us for granted. He left his people waiting in vain without further updates about the plans of IOST team. Are we still gonna continue promoting IOST or just pause for a moment until further notice? We haven't paid for 3 weeks already. Please update us about this campaign.

Lots of doubts now forming, is this legit? Also not sure how to feel about "in the near future."

I believe this can be handled more professionally and I am actually expecting a better response from the IOST team. Isn't this a legitimate company that has millions of dollars at their disposal? If i was an "admin" just coming to this knowledge I would first assure participants that they would get paid or even pay them from some dev / backup fund. I'd do a lot more actually if only to preserve the company's good image (which is really important in the crypto market). Lose the public's trust and your project could be dead.

I totally agree with you on this. We did our part of the deal and expecting to get paid as what we agreed upon. Hope that they will take responsibility to their side of the deal as well whether Madz will be on or not.
346  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] IOS - Signature & Avatar Campaign | Up to $150/week - (Extended) on: June 18, 2018, 04:23:30 AM
You guys should just continue posting. As what Madz said, this round is due by the end of June. Madz is a very trustworthy Manager in this forum, maybe  he's just preoccupied lately with things in real life or even having a vacation. Don't worry we will get our pay anytime soon.
347  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] IOS - Signature & Avatar Campaign | Up to $150/week - (Extended) on: June 18, 2018, 12:42:15 AM
I sent a message to @yxbear in telegram. I told him our case about the payment being delayed for 3 weeks now going on 4th week. Hope he can reach out Madz personally for him to update us regarding this campaign. I can't really think of any reason why Madz is not giving us updates.
348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if tokens running on erc20 a scam? on: June 17, 2018, 04:59:16 AM
Basically almost all coins are erc20. What if these coins are actually a scam? Probably 60% + are erc20 token coins. They are trying to become the next block chain but what if there just pump n dump scam coins? I mean bitcoin is bitcoin and bitcoin cash is a fork of bitcoin. So not likely scam. U would think to hold for 5 years for mega returns. If they run on there own mainnet would give them more credibility. I hope I'm wrong but these developers would abandon ship sometimes. Probably too hard to solve anything.

If a certain coin is a scam then we can't do anything about it but to stay away from investing on those coins that could potentially lose our investment. You can really tell if the coin or token is just used as a pump and dump for some investors just to get profits. If you can have a good timing during those pump and dump, then you can profit as well but its so risky and needs full attention of the market performance.
349  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] IOS - Signature & Avatar Campaign | Up to $150/week - (Extended) on: June 17, 2018, 01:34:23 AM
Hoping Madz is okay. I know he's trustworthy so I don't worry about not getting paid for he'll surely pay us all. What I'm worried about right now is Madz, we really don't know what he is going through in real life. Hope that he's doing fine and will update us anytime soon.
350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty without manager? on: June 16, 2018, 10:24:04 AM
Why is the bounty still centralized? I think that it would be cool if the participants themselves moderated other participants.

The scheme is very simple.
1. A part of the bounty is allocated to moderation. For example, 10%.
2. Every day, bounty members receive random tasks for moderation the work of other participants. Tasks are randomly distributed.
Example of task. A member of the bounty wrote a tweet about bounty company. You need to read the tweet and rate it. You can rate tweet as good or scam. If tweet is scam you must write why
3. Every task checked by 5 - 30 peoples. Task marked as "well done" only if 70% peoples mark it as good. This mechanism is similar to the transaction confirmation mechanism in blockchain. The difference is that blockchain use 51% rule.
4. For every task members get stack. At the end of bounty stacks calculated and members receive tokens for moderation.
5. Accounts whose ratings differ from most people will very often will be banned. This is mechanism from blockchain too. This will remove members who want to reduce the number of stacks and get more reward.

What do you think about if?

Unlike blockchain, human can make errors and lots of bounty participants are newbies. Some of them using alt accounts. There will be bias and sabotage that will happen when it comes to confirmations. That is why blockchain is made due to the blunders that humans do in a centralized system. It is invented to correct fraud and increase security with pure transparency.
351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Made 5x of my investment on: June 16, 2018, 10:14:04 AM
Can't believe it i bought arbitraging.co(arb) token by seeing their bot @0.40 and now its growing crazy $2.5 already (1month after launch) i think this can hit $10-50 with in 2 months

don't let your greed cloud your judgement when it comes to your profits. You did multiplied your investment 5 times and that's really awesome. You better watch out for the dips as well since we all know that the market right now is in bloodbath. Hoping to reach it $10 is quite ambitious but its possible. You just have to make the right decision on when to stop for profits.
352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins kept in exchange, are they safe? on: June 16, 2018, 02:30:24 AM
I feel keeping our coins in exchanges, mininize the risk of loosing our coins to wallet hackers.

It would be safest if you purchase a ledger where in you can store your coins. Some exchanges are vulnerable to attacks. They are the number one targets of hackers just like what happened to other exchanges. You better transfer your coins and just leave some for trading if you are fond of doing it. Your personal hardware wallet is unhackable unless you won't share your private keys to anyone.
353  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] IOS - Signature & Avatar Campaign | Up to $150/week - (Extended) on: June 16, 2018, 12:31:29 AM
Maybe its time to reach out someone from the IOST the one they call Bear so they can contact Madz if he's doing okay. It's so unlikely about Madz not being online for this long.
354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Glory days are gone for the moment! on: June 15, 2018, 02:15:24 PM
There is not enough enthusiasm in crypto to see 10K BTC at the moment. Most dudes are swing traders and Institutional money will not entertain investing into a market whereby the Whales manipulate.
The equation has changed and you need to grin and bear it for the moment.
Best bet is to buy a coin with good fundamentals that has enormous potential.

Many coins have half baked tech and will be taken over in the future.

There's always a rainbow after the rain. The lower it goes down, the higher it will bounce back up. We shouldn't be worried about this since we all know that crypto is very volatile in nature and there's always the possibility of going back to those values above $10k. The whales are just waiting for weaker hands to fold their cards for them to pump btc back up so take advantage of this dips and profit more in the future.
355  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why the only safe method right now is to Dollar Cost Average Bitcoin on: June 15, 2018, 02:12:08 PM
If you are into short term investments, the best thing for me is buy low sell high technique. I'm taking advantage in dips like this. This is the moment where we can profit more by next year after the next bitcoin halving. As we all know that as the difficulty of bitcoin increases, its value will increase as well. I'm very positive that by next year, bitcoin's value will not go down to $10k.
356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Current market situation on: June 15, 2018, 01:10:41 PM
I think that the situation in the market is being manipulated by major players. What do they need it for? At this point are create large exchanges based on NASDAQ, for example. They need cryptocurrency assets in order to support the operation of the exchange.
Example. To do this, they purchased BTC at a price of $ 7500 in the amount of 1 billion (133 333 BTC) . Seeing this, ordinary people start buying BTC thus pushing the market up to the price of $ 8000 . Then the big players sell their assets completely and the price falls by $7,500. People seeing this in panic sell what they bought yesterday,  the BTC rate falls to 7000 $ , and large players are bought again , but already in the amount of 1.06 billion ( 152 000 BTC ). And these cycles are repeated more and more recently. So they increase their cryptocurrency volumes. All calculations are for example and this is my personal opinion.
What do you think about this?

The weaker hands will always lose in times like this. People who  ten to panic and doesn't believe in the technology will always be left behind and regret that they didn't hodl. I know that this is a very huge dip but I'm positive that sooner or later the market will correct itself and bitcoin will increase in its value up until the first month of Q4. It has already been predicted that by next year, bitcoin's value won't go down below $10k. I hope that this prediction will be realized.
357  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the decline in the Bitcoin price OUR fault? on: June 15, 2018, 08:40:13 AM
Those people who are holding less amount of btc is not to blame. We can put the blame on those whales trying to dump all their coins just because of FUD. There are lot of investors right now who are too emotional and doesn't understand the volatility of the crypto market. When a sudden dip is happening they tend to panic sell all their coins and this could affect the performance of the market specially if you are holding huge amount of BTC.
358  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you recieve stolen bitcoins using a bitcoin mixer? on: June 15, 2018, 08:34:51 AM
Hi. For people that use bitcoin mixers to mix their bitcoins, is it possible that somebody may actaully end up with stolen bitcoins? So in this case, using a bitcoin mixer could be far worse. For example if these stolen bitcoins are being tracked, then is it possible legit users using a mixing service, could end up with stolen bitcoins? If so, is there any way to prevent this or to find out if you have received stolen coins?

As we all know, mixing service was created to clean our coins so if there will be audits to our portfolio we are safe from any legalities. If your coin is being mixed then that is already an assurance that when you receive it back it's already clean. There's no way that you can receive any stolen coins from a mixing service unless this mixing service is really doing some tricks on you. Don't be paranoid about if for they are made to clean your coins.
359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Could Ethereum be dumped to $300? on: June 15, 2018, 06:08:04 AM
I hope that the broadcast will drop to 200 dollars, such variant of events is quite possible. In this case, I will buy. In any case, while I do not advise buying air above $ 400, it will still fall

I agree with you on this since there still bloodbath incoming for few days or even weeks. Hopefully by next month the market will slowly recover from this red trains and eventually go an uptrend that won't stop till the first month of Q4 this year. We just have to wait for what the future will bring since there's no one in this world that could perfectly predict what will happen to the values of crypto in the future.
360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Do You Think Recent Hacking Incidents? on: June 13, 2018, 01:36:35 PM
Those incidents made crypto look bad in the eyes of the people who doesn't know anything about the currency. That is why, it's really hard for crypto to go mainstream as a currency or even as a reliable store of value  aside from being volatile, its because of some vulnerabilities that are mainly caused by human errors or incompetence in safeguarding and creating security softwares to prevent these kinds of attacks to exchanges and wallets of investors.
