I have one of these 800GH miners coming hopefully. Paid 27th.

Seeing from those pictures miner has 2x 8pin CPU connectors rather than 8pin PCI-Express connectors. Need to find cables for that. You can only get 1x 8-pins from single ATX-psu.
Adaptors from 6/8pins PCI-e connectors to 8pin CPU connectors would be sweet.

6/8pin PCI-e connectors can be stuffed to 8pin CPU connectors if you put it wrong way for + - to match. I think.
342  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AntMiner S2 1TH/s Kit Sales Open, official sales price $2260 per Kit on: May 31, 2014, 04:15:49 PM
I don't get it - no PSU and no case and only $49 cheaper than an assembled full unit?

How is that AWESOME???

I can already see all the newbies failing with those. Lets prepare to tell them we told you so.

Price meets the demand. Bitmain successfully fullfilled group buy and sold hundreds of S2 (can see from BTC wallet movement)
They are selling all they can produce. Keeping their normal healty-test-mining OP going.

Opening kit sales is awesome indeed. Good stuff for us DIY miners who have plenty of overstock PSU and are willing to build our miners.
But you are right about pricing, not worth it. Now I just need to hold my coins now and wait for Bitmains next strike with new generation of asic. I could assume Bitmain is extremely busy with developing new stuff and organizing manufacturing as much as they can. Lowering the price would jump order exponentially and they probably could not handle that much volume for now.

That design supports very low power mode for any new chips.

Antminer S3:
- 90w/ blade hashing 180-240GH will be 1kw/2.4TH miner.

Go go go Bitmain you can do it. Least Bitmain now has assets for developing some awesome stuff. While we see them pre-order scammers go away.

I haven't see this posted here:
http://www.coindesk.com/private-china-meeting-bitcoin-mining-industry-leaders/

Quote
ASICMINER has said it will order the equivalent of 30,000 TH/s of wafers each month. Furthermore, the Avalon fourth-generation 28nm chip is set to tapeout soon and AntMiner’s S3 chips are projected to be out this July.

Those will be the upgrade cards for S2 case. Well designed box to house 10 hashing blades and suitable to run quietly for 1000W power usage.
Projected time for upgrade cards to arrive would be September.

345  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [WORLDWIDE]Bitmine - 950 GH/S 1500 USD - Next day delivery. on: May 29, 2014, 11:09:47 PM
Ordered one of these bad boys through OgNasty, I'll let you guys know how it looks inside.

Also if you could tell us how the shipping goes. After you receive your miner. Every one of these sellers seems to suffer shipping delays.

Miner paid 24h ago waiting for shipping too.

Bumb

No sign of shipment.
347  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official BITMINE CoinCraft series 28nm ASIC miners thread on: May 29, 2014, 12:14:00 AM
Bitmine owe me $13k USD.

I ordered a 2 TH/s CoinCraft Rig. Agreed shipment date was 31 December 2013.

Refund requested on 6 May 2014. Bitmine haven't responded to my refund request yet... also no response to my followup emails.
Just after posting the above, Bitmine acknowledged my refund request.

Coincidence, or do they still read this forum?

Dont jump before your refund is actually processed.

They read, it's obvious. Why they dont refund everyone right now. They have no money
They are like every other pre-order company around this time, cannot afford to refund all their customers. Everyone is going down under but the ones who are shipping from Stock.

KNC was smart enough to make epic datorhall which keeps them floating.

Bitmine is gonna go under. No question about that. They have no working product to bring healthy steady cash flow or skills to make new product. This company is dying. Chinese are riding with same A1 chip and doing it with cheaper parts and cheaper labor costs. Bitmine cannot fight this with making miners in Swizerland

13k$ for 2TH is 11k$ loss of investment....if you get your miner delivered.
Bitmine also cannot make these miners for 1k$ 1TH which means they are out from this game.

Get your refund asap and move on.

Thanks, that's tempting - 2 BTC for 800 GH/s plus $200 shipping - hope bitmain is watching this...

Too tempting had to buy one to try it out. RaPi I have. PSUs I have. I wish to see new Friedcat chips.. Bitmain we have seen Smiley

Jack's site gave me Total (Shipping fee not included) 2.06444018 BTC
I have bought him before customer support is bit dodgy but they have shipped out hundreds of miners. I have buy very first Dragon 1T from him.

-edit- no idea how shipping is billed. I will wait and see.

With the bitcoin rising (now €430/$588) you might want to reconsider requesting a refund and go for the ordered miner.

Why. They still wont profit eaven close to the preorder money people have paid to this compa«4ny. Every Bitmine customer got ripped off. Refund is only option. Delivered miners are bad investments.

You can buy 1TH from other vendors much much cheaper.

1TH 1900$
1.5TH 2500$
when would you receive those???

Ordered and paid Friday morning. Received and hashing today. Paid 1844$ for 1TH

354  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AntMiner S2 1TH/s Miner Batch 4, Price changes daily, now 2259 USD for 1TH/s on: May 23, 2014, 10:04:30 PM
Running S2 for 393 you would need 5kw power.

Doubling the clock speed should not result in 5x the power.

Upgrade means new cards, new chips, same design. Not magic wand and more hashing power from same chips with lesser power usage.

An upgrade path with new cards/chips is unlikely to be a 'low cost upgrade' that BITMAIN referred to earlier.

Yes double the speed would result 4,5kw. NO, S2 cannot handle it.

So you expect it to be magic software update? You fail to understand how this hardware works.
They would have made 1.6TH single PSU miner from BM1380 chips if it woud have been possible. This design under well known old chip is easy.

1psu miner is optimal in design and cooling. Also most cost effective to manufacture, deploy, cool and run.

S2 has 640x Bitmain BM1380 gen1 chips
S1 has 64x Bitmain BM1380 gen1 chips

This chip is done. You choose which hardware you prefer. If you dont trust me... Master Dogie said it in his S2 thread about OCing S2. Pointless.

Cheap upgrade is replacemet cards but i currently dont see them having 128x BM1380 chips

I agree, upgrade will be replacement cards with everything else remaining. They will probably allow for sending old chip arrays back or charge ~$400-500 for new boards. Anything more than this and it is NOT a cheap upgrade.

Yes, new boards with that price range keeping miner at 1000-1200 watts works. Shipping boards back, no. Not worth it. Shipping cost more than making plain board.
Bitmain wont need old boards as these chips are done around August and boards reworking to mount new chips cost much more than brand new plain board.
Chips are most expensive parts and they need new 40nm or eaven 28nm chip.

640x Bitmain BM1380 chips at S1stock speed would be 1.8TH miner 3600w.
S2 with BM1380 simply cannot do 1.6TH without consuming +2500w

As far as I can tell: EXCELLENT product! Bout to order a couple more.

And when BITMAIN starts shipping their 'very low cost' 1.8 - 2TH upgrade it will be even better

Remember, the S2 is only running at 196. The S1 runs at 350-393 with the same chip.

~L)L~

So? Running S2 for 393 you would need 5kw power. 5psus and compressor cooling.
They undercloked it for reason. There is reson why you dont overclock S2.  If you want this same chip 350-393, 2TH with 4KW power usage you can buy 10xS1 for 4.3btc

Upgrade means new cards, new chips, same design. Not magic wand and more hashing power from same chips with lesser power usage.

These chips are done at 1.1w/1GH

Is psu included and will you sell without psu.
