101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice 101 on: September 08, 2021, 10:46:24 PM
Wagering in dice can be a difficult aspect in dice games as newbies who don’t know how to set the wagering mechanism can lead to house advantage, which always causes constant losing dice.I hard my gambling mentor set the wagering number and amount to bet on that have steadily won in dice and place games. So a say dice skills are possible with the right instructor.

Not possible.

If you are playing a fair game that is skewed in the house's favour, you are always pretty much going to lose. No ifs and buts.

Anyone who claims that they have a magical formula that will guarantee you wins after wins is trying to defraud you. There is no system of auto betting that you lead you to consistent profits on dice.
102  Economy / Economics / Re: @Deloitte: "The fiat currency will be gone in 5 to 10 years". on: September 08, 2021, 12:55:36 AM

Notice they don't mention "Bitcoin" per se. Instead, they use "digital asset" since they considered CBDC as well, or "crypto-assets" .

This is my major concern.

They are probably referring to CBDCs when they say that digital currencies will completely disrupt paper fiat currencies.

Don't forget that Deloitte, PwC etc. all base themselves on the fiat economy in order to thrive. They will try their best to appease the regulators etc. and it would be too much of a radical truth to say that BTC and decentralised cryptos will disrupt in the near future.
103  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC is helping out Cubans and Venezuelans on: September 08, 2021, 12:19:51 AM
...

For OPSEC reasons I don't (personally) want to go in to this topic too heavily myself, but this is already happening.

I have known about Venezuelans for years using BTC (and Dash) as a partial substitute for their worthless currency and hard-to-get US dollar fiat.  Apparently these efforts have been quite helpful to those in Venezuela in a position to use cryptos to make their lives better.

Now Cuban-Americans are sending BTC to embattled Cuba.  I do not know the amounts though.

These really ARE excellent use-cases in which BTC is helping to add value to the lives of those under oppression.  This is clearly a good thing.

This is excellent to hear.

It's precisely what we actually want to happen with cryptocurrencies. Not ETF approvals, not Tesla buying in.

But actual people who are finding bitcoin/cryptos useful for their day to day transactions and as a store of value. That is the end goal of bitcoin and what's actually important.

Hopefully El Salvador's move can inspire others around the world too.
104  Economy / Gambling / Re: New Crypto Casino with a built in MIXER and token bridges!!! on: September 07, 2021, 11:32:16 PM
It's a bit counterproductive to require people to sign up for accounts if they care about privacy already.

I think that you should adopt a model that is more similar to Just-Dice, whereby you get an automatic account just by entering the site. Better yet, the account can be saved as a permanent URL as opposed to a traditional username-password account.

But exciting stuff! Like the ingenuity of combining two aspects of crypto together.
105  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔮 Futuur - Predict the Future! 🔮 on: September 07, 2021, 10:59:20 PM
I enjoy the idea of a prediction market.

I think that it's a lot more fun compared to playing against the house. Maybe try introduce PvP battles in the future as well to further this notion of a friendly competition?

It would be good to get a bit more liquidity in some of the smaller markets though, otherwise they are simply sitting there as novelties.
106  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✨ JacksClub.io ✨ Daily Contest with Amazing Prices | VIP Rewards | Free Faucet on: September 07, 2021, 10:34:20 PM
Sleek design!

This is probably the most well designed casino startup that I've across so far.

Certainly a very premium experience and I think that you can truly appeal to those higher end players. Maybe as a suggestion, try to add a more clarity when it comes to what is involved with the VIP account manager? E.g. 24/7 personalized support, etc.
107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: $5000 to $1 million in 3 years and little over 2000 bets! on: September 06, 2021, 09:51:58 PM
Damn, congratulations.

Just don't get greedy now and throw all the bankroll management stuff out the window. Always stick to your first principles.

Goes to show that sports betting actually can generate you long term +EV if you have the appropriate strategy and risk management. But newbies, this is not a result that you can generate overnight without any preparation.
108  Economy / Speculation / Re: will bitcoin ever go down like 2018-2020 on: September 06, 2021, 03:49:04 AM
Absolutely not.

The days of protracted bear markets in the crypto scene are gone, I think. We are finally getting the deserved institutional accreditation and global reserve currency status that will serve as a very important stabilising force going forward.

Sure, a correction is possible. But a bear market that lasts for 4 years isn't going to come no matter how long you keep waiting for imho.
109  Economy / Economics / Re: El Salvador retirees protest against Bitcoin as legal tender on: September 06, 2021, 02:47:07 AM
I'm not sure why they are protesting this?

They're essentially getting a free injection of capital because of BTC. If any other country was getting citizenship requests that are backed by millions of dollars in pledged investment to my home country I'd accept them in a heartbeat.

Just some archaic thinking. Let it sit for a while and they'll change their minds for sure.
110  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Regulators Investigate Crypto-Exchange Developer Uniswap Labs on: September 06, 2021, 02:28:08 AM
They can probe all they want.

But the fact of the matter is that they can't do anything to the DEX itself - it is decentralised and upheld by the community, not the developers.

Heck, what was the point of doing this? So that they can make sure the developers no longer undertake these projects in the future? There are millions of others who would take on this challenge.
111  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do not make curiosity to people around you while you are playing gambling. on: September 06, 2021, 01:59:07 AM
This is very true.

I think that you want to keep your gambling activities down low for two reasons: one is that you have the potential to influence others, who may be underage and reckless, and two is that you could possibly attract attention that you don't want to yourself.

Just take a look at the stories of lottery winners having to settle lawsuits because others think they deserve a share of the winnings. Same thing here.
112  Economy / Economics / Re: Recent advertisement for Visa - what a joke on: September 05, 2021, 05:51:19 AM
So ironic seeing the biggest centralized payment processors trying to say that they're trying to bank the unbanked...

I don't think that they're thinking about crypto per se, but it's definitely a sign that they're way too delusional.

They think that they are still top dog and doing humanity good when the better thing clearly is to adopt and embrace decentralized crypto technology. But hey, this is the same for pretty much every institution in the traditional fiat economy for a while now.
113  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CoinMarketCal and OpenSea sites advice on: September 05, 2021, 05:03:15 AM
You could potentially filter a bunch of things on OpenSea, but that's about all you can do.

Picking winners isn't easy and if there was a completely failsafe way to doing it, why isn't everyone using it?

OpenSea is merely a listing site/exchange and nothing more. It offers no advice in terms of which projects are good, or bad.

Lol really? You’re busy to take 2 minutes out of our shift to check glitch for a big loyal customer?  Site was buggy all day and I get punished for that? It’s an absolute joke IMO. Any other book would kindly reimburse  the customer.

I doubt that this argument is going to appeal to them.

They have no obligations to refund you even if that is what other sports books do, unfortunately. Their Terms and Conditions are what you agreed to in the past when you started playing on their platform.

If support has already ruled this decision, just move on. Unless they didn't clearly communicate to players that there was a bug.
115  Economy / Gambling / Re: New Crash Gambling Website! betbitcoin247.io on: September 04, 2021, 03:02:06 AM
I think that you really need to do a better job in designing the site.

I'm not sure if this is actually what you did, but right now the site just looks like you pulled something out of a prebuilt crash template and decided to run your site right away.

Not the most professional experience I should say. Perhaps it's out of your budget but definitely try to come up with something more innovative in the future for sure.
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Need 1$ loan to sell a token on: September 04, 2021, 02:33:56 AM
Maybe see if OmegaStarScream is willing to fill this for you.

I believe he was generous enough to be able to help someone else out who was in a similar situation earlier on the lending board here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5357265.0

I would love to help but unfortunately don't have any BNB and the conversion rates from BTC/ETH would be not worth it.
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The Importance of Inflation in USD on: November 29, 2019, 10:41:22 PM
Why don't you add IOTA to the comparison as well then? That one has zero inflation.

Inflation isn't the factor that determine's a coin's value or popularity. Otherwise, deflationary coins would be currently experiencing the highest growth in terms of price, at least. What matters more so than supply is the demand, which is shaped by the fundamentals of each coin.

Also, it's an unfair comparison to make to take things out of proportion without mentioning market caps. Large market cap coins obviously are more prone to nominal inflation in USD terms.
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Resuscitate - Better chances to Touch 160$ standard on: November 29, 2019, 09:55:20 AM
It's not even just ETH having a recovery. It's the entire crypto market.

This is what BTC's flow-on effect looks like for the altcoin market. When BTC sees price action, the price action of alts are usually close mirror images of it. It's almost impossible for altcoins to rally against the trend of BTC when it's in a bear market.

Personally, I can see further dips for ETH before a recovery finally comes. It could last till BTC's halving, even.

1. Finding a local bottom. Should be at 1300-3000 range. Should not break previous lower low at $159 (lol). But i think it should be 4-digits. Nearest weeks.

I find this scenario unlikely, even though BTC short term can definitely go back down to the $3k level.

The point here is that the last major bear market lasting between early to mid 2018 to early 2019 only took BTC to $3k or so, and the support there was extremely strong, demonstrated by the sizable rebound that was recorded to over $10k after that.

I doubt that the markets will be this bearish, especially with halving coming up in 2020, to the point that these supports can be broken.
120  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betroar.io – Try Bit Brawlers! 💰 UPDATE 11/26: .001 BTC Airdrops Extended! 💰 on: November 28, 2019, 09:17:40 PM
Great stuff. I really like the fact that you guys have sportsbetting along with the bit brawlers game, really diversifies and separates yourself from competitors.

However, I'm just wondering about two things:

a) Would you/when will you have live, in game sports betting the same way DirectBet used to offer them?
b) Will withdrawals ever be automated? Or will they stay manual?

Thanks!
