Hey everyone, I'm glad to see that there has already been enough interest generated to warrant someone creating a scam clone of the asset! I'd also like to thank jl777 for acting as a collaborator and source of advice and guidance for this project.
<....>
Please ask away I will answer any questions that I can!
very nice.. when will atomic start trading? You can make a buy order right now from the NXT wallet using this asset ID: 11694807213441909013 will it be filled? will there not be an ipo? At this very early stage you may need to wait some time before any sell orders are made on the asset. Please stay tuned for updates regarding technical specifications as well as opportunities to invest. But for now making a buy order will be the easiest way to make sure that you are invested once a sell order is available. As jl777 has stated, there is a lot more information that is on hold! I assume ATOMIC is an integral part of the supernet, possible teleporting mechanics, but would really like to know more details...waiting patiently. Current AE buy orders range from 0.1 to 0.2 - cryptoax, could you please advise the initial sell price and when you will fill orders (at least roughly) so I don't need to refresh this thread multiple times a day to find out? Thanks.

how do i put in an order for one of the btcd anon cards? if orders havnt started yet, any idea when they will?
No orders yet, the details are still being worked out. If you follow this thread, you'll know when they're ready to order following intently! Yeah, me too. If this really works as intended it could be an aweomse fiat bridge. I'm interested to see if these anon cards work in the US. Federal law currently requires verification of social security number for purchasing reloadable prepaid debit cards. As a result, the best anon card I know of right now in the US is to buy a non-reloadable $500 visa gift card with cash. Requiring identity verification to put our own hard-earned cash onto a reloadable card is obviously an absurd violation of our right to privacy.......Oh well, that's just the way it goes in the land of hypocrisy I guess. The sad part is if this (dark crypto) industry gets huge, as is expected, laws will change to require id for even non-reloadable cards in the US...sad

Be patience.I treat Qora as a long-term project!
Any other choice?

The asset is priced at a fixed BTC cost. The NXT price is adjusted based on the NXT/BTC ratio. NXT has gained about 30% since the IPO started.
So, the price is actually higher in BTC, and goes up a bit each day.
Thanks for the explanation, that makes sense. The "loss" is for us, many of us, who used (and always planned to use) NXT already in our NRS to buy tokens. For the amount of TOKENS I purchased on day one, I could have purchased an additional 10% TOKENS today! Damn!!!

New QORA Poll: Please Vote! Deadline September 10, 2014 Name: should qora strive to be part of btcd (bitcoindark) supernet core?Description: There is a new vision/space emerging in the altcoin world and it's called the SuperNET. An initiative born from the idea that ALL cryptocurrencies would thrive through UNITY and anonymity (or being "dark"). An invitation has been announced by the devs of bitcoindark (BTCD) to participate as an innovative CORE altcoin in its vision to unite. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=762346.msg8592943#msg8592943Results update (arbitrary deadline of Sept 10 cancelled as it's arbitrary ) Yes - 61% No - 39% all votes: 1,008,953,571 (10% of all Qora) http://qora.co.in/?q=%EF%BB%BFshould+qora+strive+to+be+part+of+btcd+supernet+core%3F&pollFour coins thusfar included in supernet core and brief tech offering: Bitcoindark (BTCD) - primary teleporting tech to send and receive txs to and from all coins' networks (under development) Boolberry (BBR) - onion routing tech to anonomize coins entering teleporting network Vericoin (VRC) - coin <--> fiat technology (interesting community conversations over the past few days for and against) NXT - other jl777 technologies including privacybet, instadex, mgw, etc Market cap on these coins have increased substantially since announcement. At the end of supernet fundraising, BTC collected will be used to sustain growth and value of coins. Qora is doing fine without supernet and need not apply IMO but always an option if Qora/community so chooses. James said he would be working with the VRC people to help them with some issues. He never said they would be part of the superNET. Then again, he never said they wouldn't. Thanks for the clarification.

The the M of N fragments are constructed and reconstructed offblockchain the usage of addresses will not change the blockchain as BTCD isnt doing the miniblockchain thing. When you send to an address it takes the same space on the blockchain whether it is a new one or not. Now, if we are leaving behind utxo, there could be some extract RAM usage, but cloning totally spends all inputs, so this is not an issue.
The one thing that does increase the size a bit is using standard denominations, so sending 8 would be 5 + 1 + 1 + 1 or 4 inputs and outputs instead of 1 input, 1 outputs (incl change). But if you are sending 10 then it will actually save a bit of space due to not needing change output
This is very good, thanks for clarifying.

Personally I like the idea of Qora being a leader rather than a follower.

The telepod idea does seem very interesting, especially if the anonymity scheme it uses is better than coin mixing and ring sigs. I had a brief look at the way it works and it is pretty hard to understand, the white paper could use some diagrams. But I would be interested in seeing how compatible it is with the mini-blockchain scheme, keeping in mind that the mini-blockchain scheme does not use scripts at all and BTCD apparently has full turing complete scripting.
EDIT: ok well I think I understand it a bit better now, but I can't really understand why this isn't just a long winded way of making a normal tx. It seems to ensure that a new address will always be made for receiving payments, which is great for anonymity, but generating new addresses for receiving payments isn't exactly difficult to do without an elaborate system like this. Maybe I'm still not fully grasping the concept.
EDIT: also worth noting is that we actually discourage the use of sending coins to addresses which haven't been seen by the network before, because it increases the size of the account tree. To help prevent dust from bloating up the account tree we don't allow the output value to be lower than the tx fee if the receiving address doesn't exist in the account tree.
Sounds like syncing issues are taking over the thread but I x-post this anyway from the XCN (mini-blockchain coin) thread as I begin to think about the teleport tech more. It has been interesting to re-read the teleporting paper and re-think how teleport will actually happen. Not to introduce skepticism but to better understand is why I ask. I wonder how BTCD and teleport will deal with the possible massive blockchain bloating issue that can occur with all of the proposed multi-level sigs? Also how to deal with all of the "dust" from sending to addresses that have not been seen by the network? (these ideas are from bitfreak! from XCN thread but I too am curious how teleport will handle these issues) Please correct me if I am way off.

What's the point of putting cryptonite on supernet? How are other coins going to take advantage of cryptonite's mini blockchain? I'm of the opinion that supernet is infeasible vaporware or possibly an outright scam, but willing to listen if someone could explain how other coins could use cryptonite's defining feature - the mini blockchain.
This is a great question. I have recently found XCN and now mine (thanks gang for the AMD miner ) because I think the "mini blockchain" is a great innovation (as well as tx malleability and withdrawal limits). I think of how to answer your question. If and only IF XCN's mini chain could be applicable to ALL coins in the teleporting network - that's value added. An a non-technical (non-coder) person, I don't know how this can be done. However, I do know jl777's vision is to integrate a "dark" network with all the best features of alts. The four coins now part of the core are BTCD (teleport tech), BBR (onion routing for anon entry into teleport), VCN (fiat <--> coin conversion), and of course NXT for his other tech: privacybet, instadex, mgw, etc. Now, if the XCN tech of miniblockchain could be added to these ideal technologies/BTC improvements, then of course this would be huge for supernet. I ramble and do not answer your question: smarter people than I need to explain this possibility. But I agree that XCN could improve greatly the supernet, whatever it is or will be... Edit: is it too much to ask bitfreak! to ask james via PM about this possibility? Last I read, bitfreak! was against an integration idea...is this true? Edit 2: maybe the supernet is seen by devs as "greed driven trend" as explained in the OP? Edit 3: just found this post... I didn't say I had no interest in the whole supernetwork thing, that does seem like an interesting idea. I just don't think the anonymity scheme you have developed is very compelling, it has too many assumptions which will never hold true in the real world, double spending prevents it from working as you imagine. So maybe it's more about supernet currently being vaporware. Are you certain about this double spend issue? [me]...continuing to read this tread[/me]

You have the Qora. Make sure you have your seed saved and then delete Qora folder, download it again and run it again from scratch, recover your seed, await for blockchain to be downloaded and you'll be able to see and use your Qora.
I've had to read these instructions too many times...almost 4 months and the basic loading sequence is still not as smooth as it should be. In truth, I often still need to delete data and wallet folders to re-stabilize the client. I'm certainly not knocking Qora's work as he is a genius and all and has created a masterpiece but maybe we need ask qora to work on stability a bit (in a nice way). As for the rest of us, perhaps running nodes is the best thing we can do. Do we have a set of simple instructions on setting up a node? I found this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=522102.msg6943975;topicseen#msg6943975Thank you twospirit

There is a small change of plans regarding assets.
During this weekend I found some problems with the current version so I had to fix those. This means that somewhere during this week I will post the final version including the GUI. After that we will have to wait a few days to make sure the heavy forgers have had the chance to upgrade and then assets will finally launch.
You will be able to trade any combination of pairs. This includes Qora/Asset, Asset/Qora or Asset/Asset. All the orders on the exchange will be matched automaticly.
Fantastic news!!!!

VRC pump.
You realize that any coin that pumps their coin on the basis of getting into the SuperNet is automatically excluded from the SuperNet. Good job, this means VRC will never be in the SuperNet!!! Actually, I created the deal with James directly so there is no pump other than people thinking that the deal will finish. IMO it's worth checking out. Thnx. This is confirmed...VRC is working on a deal: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=602041.msg8700295#msg8700295

If coding was like golf without takebacks, then I would be in big trouble. James
One day I'd love to play a round of golf with you...my treat! I am not so bad at putting and I used to be able to hit it almost 300 yards, but only with one club! I could never figure it out. Also, the 300 yards was NEVER in the right direction! Often I am having to go to two holes adjacent. Then luckily I made a horrible swing and slammed the driver into the ground at full force and really messed up by back. After that the closest I get to golf is the putt-putt with the windmills James I am laughing out loud...hilarious! I'll settle for putt-putt if the opportunity arises.
