Everyone discussing exclusion of Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane. No one discussing the exclusion of Ishant Sharma and Wriddhiman Saha from the squad ?
Pujara last 10 innings score is 0, 47, 0, 22, 26, 61, 4, 91, 1, 45. So I think Sharma Ji has made right decision of excluding Pujara from the team. Both Pujara and Rahane must go back and play domestic cricket and try to regain there form.
If the youngsters perform in the upcoming series then it is end of Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane and they should hang their career. It is a fact that the career of Wriddhiman Saha is almost over once Rishabh Pant showcased his talent in the Test format and now it will be hard for him to make a return in the team unless Rishabh Pant is injured. Not sure about Ishant Sharma.

2. Telegram channel was restricted, no one can make comments or send messages, another red flag that I don't get suspicious over

It's too late already but hope someone learn one or two lessons from this
So you are saying that they basically closed every communication with the investors, if so then it is a rug pull and they made the money fooling the investors, it is unfortunate people are getting attracted to projects without verifying the team. You need to invest in projects that are transparent with the community where they are not afraid of revealing their identity.

they are becoming a joke with these attitudes, why don't they decide right away what they want? if they don't like bitcoin just put laws that guarantee people won't use bitcoin to commit crimes and let people choose whether or not they want to use bitcoin, they look like dictation governments disguised as democratic
If coming up with a decision when majority of the first world countries are yet to take a decision on how they are going to handle the cryptocurrency situation is not that easy like you think. Right now what they have done is they are including cryptocurrency trading in a tax bracket and even if the tax percentage is high it sends a signal that they are not going to ban anytime soon.

There is sad incident in PSL as Australian James Faulkner left PSL halfway due to payment row with PCB. This is first time any player has payment issues in PSL.
So basically the issue is real as the statement says that James Faulkner did not get the payment but PCB claims that they sent the bank details of a UK bank and they transferred 70% of the contracted money and for James Faulkner he did not receive a cent as negotiations failed as PCB claims that they cannot further send any money unless the money that is transferred to the UK bank be revised. James Faulkner should have appointed a lawyer to discuss these issues rather than taking this on his own hand.

Now that James Faulkner will not be in the PSL again as they will be blacklisting him from further tournaments.

This have proven to a large extent the political undertone as regards to the central banks position on compartitors such as bitcoin having the capacity to transform the economy of a nation, state or region as a whole, what are the possibilities of central banks governors winning the war against the decentralized finances or will the central banks looses it relevancy when Bitcoin finally become a global currency.
The major issue is see is that the government has a good idea that they could not control the cryptocurrency space like they wanted because it is a global decentralized space but if they want to come out with regulations then they can have some control over how we trade and which exchanges we use and the best bet will be to regulate the space rather than coming out with theories to ban innovation and a trillion dollar market.
346  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: February 19, 2022, 09:42:52 PM
Real Madrid have a much stronger team and also play at home in a full stadium. They should easily walk over it without any problem. It is rather conceivable that it will be a huge score for Madrid. At Madrid it is true that you never know how the form of the day is, they have recently played 0-0 for example, but can also win 6-1. That makes it fun and exciting for any match in Madrid.
After watching the first half i thought it will be another affair that we wont see any goals but in the second half Marco Asensio and Vini scored goals and they will win the match comfortably. Real Madrid is controlling the match but they were not able to convert that to goals in the second half but glad that they starting to attack more in the second half.

I guess my curiosity now is if this was a paid advertisement by Stake, or is Drake just a guy who uses the service and decided to throw a free advertisement their way?  I also wonder if this caused a massive spike in bets.
Drake is known to bet big amounts and i am not sure how the bet slip was published, but if stake was doing the promotion they would have gladly advertised it rather than looking like a bet from Drake and the reason these information gets out is because you need to verify yourself if you want to place a bet with fiat currency (CAD) and that is how he made the bet and not with Bitcoin.

This is the worst performance from Protease in New Zealand in last 90 years as they completely fail and all out on 95 with now New Zealand is having massive lead of 387 last tenth wickets done good damage with partnership of 94 runs.
Tom Blundell missed his century and almost all the players played well. South Africa is struggling in the second innings as well as they already lost 7 wickets for 97 runs and this will be another record for them as they will be loosing by a huge margin. They outplayed the hyped up India but New Zealand is exposing their batting weakness Cheesy.

South Africa needs to find some good batsman to replace their legendary players of the past, if not it will be pathetic situation to see them struggle against all the teams
349  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: February 18, 2022, 11:26:10 PM
It was a big match for India, at the beginning it looked like a winning match for India. Once West Indies started its batting the winning turned towards West Indies. It was quite surprising to see Pooran and Powell make a good partnership. However the winning credit goes to Bhuvanesh Kumar who restricted West Indies batsmen to score just 4 runs in the 19th over. Finally India have won the match by 8 runs.
I thought West Indies would win the match as they had wickets in hand and Rovman Powell and Nicholas Pooran were batting well and they had Kieron Pollard to come out to bat when i last saw the scoreboard and yet India was able to win. Bhuvanesh Kumar who was leaking runs came to the rescue this time and won the match for India. Either way i missed the last few overs and i need to watch the highlights again.

I mean there is a situation where we are dropping because of "news" but that is short and temporary, whereas the long term things are more permanent and we are going to be getting to 100k and even to 500k one day and that's just matter of time.
If you have a coin with limited number of coins in circulation you are bound to go higher and if that is the mentality of everyone the world would be a much better place  Cheesy. Majority of the investors in the cryptocurrency space wants their profit in a short period of time and they see this market as a magic wand to increase their wealth in a short period and hence you hear people crying when there is a correction.

Till now the supporting of $40k is holding up and hopefully we will not see another major sell off, couple of days and we will know what the short term market would be as it is edging close to $40k.
351  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Weakens at US$ 42,145.35 The Impact of Russia's Conflict with Ukraine on: February 17, 2022, 11:57:40 PM
So, now that it has just dropped slightly, what is making people look for explanations about it and stressing themselves unnecessarily? It just doesn’t make any sense at all. Some people are just fond of this, whenever there is a dip in the price of Bitcoin, they would just be looking for explanations that doesn’t really worth it at all.
That is the fun aspect of the cryptocurrency space or in stock market, if there is any rapid change in valuation, they will come up with a reason on why that happened which means adding a narrative to the change in price. Basically the huge investors are booking their profit but to have a tag on why that happened always make me laugh.

I have read somewhere that the looming Russia Ukraine conflict is the reason the price recovered so fast because everyone is trying to hold a decentralized currency during war times and now the same is said when the market goes down  Cheesy.
352  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price stay above $40000? on: February 17, 2022, 10:36:39 PM

Everyone is expecting bitcoin to get to $50000 again, but I am thinking this is not possible for now, I know the price will increase above $50000 but I think it is not now. But what I am mostly thinking about right now is that will $40000 be a support for bitcoin or will the price still decrease further again making it to touch $30000.
This is the expectation everyone is having but it looks like the market might go below $50k with the way things are moving as the correction is almost 8.05% and is trading around $40527 and hopefully it will not dip further but i am not seeing huge buy walls either and i am not sure how to evaluate the situation. Will sleep tonight and see how low it can go and then take my position.
353  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Prediction for March!! on: February 16, 2022, 11:55:20 PM
What are your predictions about bitcoin’s price by the end of February? Share your opinions with technical reason, In my opinion the drop in price coming soon then bitcoin will start growing and will cross 50k $ by the start of march!!!
It is really hard to predict how the market will perform, the stock market went down fearing about a war and may be that is the reason the cryptocurrency market saw a boom in the recent weeks and gold was another commodity that rallied, so there are many factors we should take into account before coming to a conclusion about the price of Bitcoin next month.

Drake Wagered $1.3 million in super bowl bet using bitcoin
When Bitcoin is legal to use, gambling is also allowed, and gambling activities using Bitcoin have become commonplace, then isn't this familiar?
Yes, indeed, surely Bitcoin will become increasingly popular and have an even greater benefit value, especially in the gambling world.
The question is are they used to wagering such a large amount of money?
If this number is already used to them and it's common, then it is no longer surprising. We know how professional gamblers who play at a high level even spend a lot of money on one bet. Sometimes I myself feel surprised by the nominal.
But on the other hand, the positive side can be taken with the increasing use of Bitcoin, it will increase the value of Bitcoin itself
No Drake did not use Bitcoin to place that $1.3 million bet, he used Canadian dollar instead. Check out the bet slip and i am surprised that no one is even checking the bet slip before making the comment about Drake using Bitcoin to place a million dollar bet. Drake is known to place huge bets and what surprised me is that he is using stake to place the bet.

So anyone followed the bet, did he win or loose the million dollar.
355  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto stuck in sports betting site, now they want KYC on: February 16, 2022, 10:58:05 PM

I have friends who have friends in other countries. Some of those friends of friends live in impoverished countries. What's stopping me from using them to KYC my account and then giving them a piece of the stuck funds? I would only need to gain access to retrieve the funds and would not continue to use the account or website.

Is this a good idea and do you think it will work? Worth the $1,200? My only hesitation at this point is asking the friend and they go through the hassle but then it goes sideways and still do not gain access to my account.
It is your choice whether to kYC with the friends you know online who could gamble and they might even try to register an account and since it is verified it is difficult for them to play as well. The best situation here is to find an escort who does not gamble give her some extra change and ask her to verify her identify in a gambling website and make sure she is not from US, i am not telling you should do that but the chances of them gambling is highly unlikely. Wink
356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will 2022 be the year of ETH 2.0? on: February 16, 2022, 10:23:01 PM
~
it looks like Ethereum 2.0 will experience delays, because the topic of Ethereum 2.0 has been around since last year,
I still hope that Ethereum can cut their GAS, because GAS or Gwei Ethereum are still very expensive,
I have a few dollars and I can't withdraw because of the high fees so expensive,
If they could solve easily about the higher gas fees, then they would have already done that long back rather than burning the end users fees. Many who staked coins in the ETH platform for the long term are not able to withdraw them because of the higher fees involved with them and so is the reason all the projects that started recently uses multiple chains as they know that it is not sustainable to continue on with the project with higher fees.
357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the Metaverse a bubble? on: February 15, 2022, 10:51:58 PM
I don't think it's a bubble, as we all know that metaverse technology is a new thing so it's natural that it's still expensive, this is certainly a good opportunity for us to make big profits by following the latest trends.
The hype was at the peak last year and many of the tokens that had metaverse rallied a lot and after that the market is down by a really huge margin and there is no signs of moving up. So in that regard there was the hype and everyone cashed in and made their profits and there are many that are still holding the coins and it is highly unlikely we will see a huge rally in those coins anytime soon.
358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: February 13, 2022, 11:47:57 PM

I think I read same before India tour to South Africa that it will be a piece of cake for India but India lost both Test and ODI series.
Afghanistan is coming to India for playing 3 ODIs and since its home soil for Indian players, that's a big plus for them since they rarely lose on there own pitches. But we still cant rule out the fact that Afghanistan can do some upset.
The expectation for India's tour of South Africa was there because South Africa was literally having a much weaker side and India toured Australia and England and everyone expected the South African tour would be a cake walk but South Africa played really well and showed they can still depend any team in their background.

When it comes to home series, it is a difficult to defeat India if they are playing with their best squad and since they are experimenting with the team all the time giving opportunities to young players and if they think that they need to try young talents then there is a chance for Afghanistan to defeat India, if not it is a hard task for them.
359  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India's confusing crypto bill on: February 13, 2022, 10:39:55 PM
Can they tax something which is not legal? How can a country tax something which is not legal? Moreover they still have plans of banning crypto since they are not clear about their stands on legalization. Not sure if it's an attempt to unofficially break the crypto market in India or what's going on.
The legality of Bitcoin is discussed for a long time here in this forum and you could find many threads talking about the ban unban and many more theories about how India is going to deal with the entire cryptocurrency market. I am not sure about the volume of investors in the space from India but taxing them means it is legal in India and years long rumors of banning bitcoin and cryptocurrency are false.

If the government were planning to ban the entire market, i am sure they will not add them in the tax bracket.
360  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance invests $200 million to buy stake in Forbes on: February 13, 2022, 10:23:15 PM

Last month it's listed Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao's worth at $96 billion. That's how far the world's changed in 5 years since Binance started business. Apart from Binance using financial clout to buy a share of a financial institute in Forbes so they can control some of the media narratives about crypto, what's in it for Binance? It's understandable Forbes grabbing the $200 million because they want to plan ahead for their business but I'm trying to understand what Binance and Changpeng Zhao want here with the deal.
Changpeng Zhao and Binance change their fortunes in a very short period of time and in that he became a billionaire in a short period of time and he started purchasing business that cater around cryptocurrency first and he was successful on that aspect and now he can control the narrative in the cryptocurrency space. He is now looking to expand his universe and that is what we are seeing here.

The press article reads Binance is currently banned by regulator in the UK and it's being investigated for criminal activity by the US Justice Department and IRS so it's not going to be welcomed news by all businesses and investors.
These are all true but in the end i am sure he will get free off all those legal implications with the kind of money he has right now.
