ehi toecutter, maybe this could come in handy if you wish to add/change banner service for your website.

http://www.alternativesitessimilarto.com/coinad-alternatives-sites-similar-coinad/

I previously suggested also the adf .ly service, maybe in the link above you may have more choice.

Best regards

PcJob

Thanks, that's quite a list. I'll pass it along, maybe there's some good stuff in there.

Update!

  • [BUG] Cloaking devices weren't showing up at stations. (@?)
  • [ENC] Increase burn rates for CPUs and Industrial Motherboards.
  • [ENC] Change recipe for ION torpedoes and CPUs.
  • [ENC] Add second Repair Ray.
  • [ENC] Add dirt-cheap used equipment.* (@Przemax)

This last one looks super-scary to me. It will probably mess up the economy big time. Please post your comments.
342  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] SatoshiGalaxy - Browser MMORPG + BTC Faucet on: November 10, 2016, 02:40:01 AM
CPU point indicator do not updates when lookin out for players/squads.
Ships for sale not displayed in 'All' list on market only in 'Ships' list.

Filed, thank you. Ships not showing up on the 'All' tab, is kinda by design.

So if you decide to rocket mine, it's kind of crumby because after you mine you can't dock for 30 seconds.  Is that a planned inconvenience?

Ugh, no. Too many rules interfering with each other... Don't think it could be easily fixed either. Thanks for your report!

Small update.

  • [BUG] Storage claim between stations works.* (@kakucis006)
  • [BUG] Cloaking devices do not work. (@?)
  • [ENC] Add ability to transfer things between storagerooms.* (@5leepyJoe)
  • [ENC] Add Qlosseum.**

* So, as promised, market/storage claims are limited from now on. Current version of the feature is more forgiving. Still might revert it completely.

** That thing was basically invented by our players, people who are tracking our history will know exactly what it is.
Please report if it's buggy! I'll not tell you much else for now.
343  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] SatoshiGalaxy - Browser MMORPG + BTC Faucet on: November 09, 2016, 10:49:52 AM
Tiny update.

Market-storage claims are not actually restricted to localities for now. Looks like there are some bugs to iron out.

So you can expect it to be in effect one day soon, and then maybe go off again... Sorry for all the confusion.

Also forgot to mention this little thing in my last post:

  • [ENC] Make CPU points indicator point to ship#cpu page. (@onlinedigger)
344  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] SatoshiGalaxy - Browser MMORPG + BTC Faucet on: November 09, 2016, 10:29:08 AM
Thank you for your help.
What it means my account not banned

Yup, feel free to play, also check your E-Mail, I've explained the situation a bit better.

In any case, let this be a lesson for everyone: toecutter is one stupid AND arrogant sob.
345  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] SatoshiGalaxy - Browser MMORPG + BTC Faucet on: November 09, 2016, 10:05:02 AM
It's possible on market to claim things located in other stations, I think that's wrong. Some bug in new upgrade?

Could be, thanks for the report!

What do you mean by market storage is now local? Will you only be able to get the items from sector where you placed it in the market?

Like I said, we don't have a lot of heart in this change, so it's probably not going to stick, and I definitely won't be defending it :)

Could you please consider removing BlockAdz from your advertising list. Whenever it has to load an ad from them the game is in limbo for 10+ seconds and then 8/10 times it times out anyways. Lets be honest, the only ad they ever have is "Advertise on this site"... I think it is time to kill them off.

Blockadz.com has bad days, it's true, but removing them is not really an option for us at this moment, sorry :(

I only have one account that naning29 nothing other. If I have 10 accounts let me see. I only have one account is no more.
My internet using wifi what is the problem

Dude (gal?), I'm so, so sorry! I was about to laugh in your face and/or ignore you, but then I went to pull off some stats, and it turned out I was completely wrong! Sorry, I mistook you for another guy.

PLEASE forgive me, it's entirely my own fault, human error and all that. I've reinstated your account and will throw some satoshi your way.

However, there is some kind of different problem with your acc., which I think we'll be able to resolve. I'll reply to one of your E-Mails.

Once again, terribly sorry for ignoring all your mails and PMs and posts here.
346  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] SatoshiGalaxy - Browser MMORPG + BTC Faucet on: November 09, 2016, 04:10:56 AM
Energy isn't refueling in my trucker Tongue  Can you have  alook at that toecutter?
Energy regeneration is broken. 23 per minute, but after 10 minutes i have only 157 energy.

Hey guys, I completely forgot to mention we're tracking down the "ships not exploding on time" bug reported by zaiusz (and pretty much everybody else).

You might experience turn resolver shutting down completely, so lots of stuff (including energy regeneration) might not work at all.

There's a fail safe, that should kick everything back into place in 10 minutes after such critical failure.

While that might seem like a horrible approach (and it partly is), this is marginally better than getting shot by pirates AND NOT getting their loot at the same time. With the new system it's more of a "all or nothing" thing.

Hopefully, as we fix all bugs that surface this way, you will never have to experience this sad state, but today and tomorrow are going to be turbulent. Sorry for the inconvenience, I'll make sure we make up for it.

Edit: hmm, looks like we're done. Please report if this keep happening and/or if pirates still do not explode as expected.
347  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] SatoshiGalaxy - Browser MMORPG + BTC Faucet on: November 09, 2016, 03:05:51 AM
What about adding Xapo?

Hello, SharpCoiner!

We dislike XAPO for multiple reasons, mainly their devotion to collecting real-world, identifying information of their users.

So unless something very dramatic happens, XAPO is never going to be supported by SatoshiGalaxy.

How that's possible?
Can't build quarry.
http://prntscr.com/d4or45
Laser is used to mine asteroids couple of times, but still like new. Tried to repair, but no changes...

Thanks for the report!

Looks like only mint condition equipment could be used for module building. This will either be fixed, either a better error message will be added in the next update.

Interested in Direct: min-max, fee and how long will be processed?

The maximum is going to be our wallet balance. Minimum is 100k satoshi, with 20k fee on top. Payouts happen every 6hours, given that
the minimum is reached (among all interested parties).

We're planning to improve our send-to-many implementation, so both the minimum and the fee could be reduced. This way, rich players
will basically cover the fees for the newbies, and it will also PROBABLY allow newbies to withdraw very small amounts (1000 sat, or so?).
At least, that's the general idea.

i dont know what my wrong. why my account is banned ? help me please

You have created 10 accounts. Then you promised me it will not happen again. Then you waited for a few days, and created 10 more accounts.

Sorry, but that's end of the line for you.

Update!

  • [BUG] Crafting attempt should always spend CPU points and energy. (@onlinedigger)
  • [BUG] Rocket hits do not increase aiming skill. (@mrrkuchc)
  • [BUG] Orbital Cannon damage is not reported. (@Przemax+@kakucis006)
  • [BUG] When def.grid attacks a ship, it wipes said ship's loot table. (@zaiusz+@kakucis006)
  • [ENC] Def.grid damage now counts in loot distribution.* (@kakucis006)
  • [ENC] AJAX'ify market-storage claims. ** (@5leepyJoe)
  • [ENC] Market storage is now local! **
  • [ENC] Improve ship sorting in the scanner.
  • [ENC] Add wandering NPC truckers. (@Quellzar)
  • [ENC] Add cloaking devices.***
  • [ENC] Re-introduce Slithers.***

* You still have to be around to get the loot, and you still need to deal at least some damage using your ship.

** The AJAX'ification makes marketplace storage about 15% more efficient, but the nerf makes it about 200% less efficient, so honestly, it's a net loss for players. Market storage was not really abused/overpowered before, but we really want people to travel around with their materials on-board for more piracy! If this turns out to be too ugly, we will revert this change.

*** Both those things will be re-balanced in the future, including their blueprint recipes, costs, all stats, etc. Purchase at your own peril. And we would really like your feedback on the stats, because cloaking is a whole new concept, and we haven't finished analyzing it's impact (and it's value) on the gameplay.

Most of those updates have a common theme: Piracy!
348  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] Paytoshi: Micropayments & Faucets on: November 08, 2016, 04:11:56 AM
Hello everyone,

Paytoshi started as a pet project in autumn 2014 and launched in december 2014. It was born in what appeared to be a profitable bubble left by Microwallet. In little less than two years we handled ~33 millions microtransactions exchanging ~85BTC. We always were runner-up in this market segment, but we are proud still of our continuous operations.

Paytoshi was never profitable because our transaction volume was just too low, but we loved cryptocurrencies and we decided to keep the project running nonetheless. We poured great effort to make a secure and reliable architecture and a good faucet script. We actively developed and honed our systems till this summer, when our company shifted focus on other projects.

We planned to make an announcement in a few days, but FaucetBox was always too fast for us: it launched a few weeks before us, gained more traction at the beginning, decided to close down sooner... Wink
So here's our announcement: Paytoshi stops operations on 14th December. If you want to get paid, please reach your payable threshold before that date. If you are a faucet owner you can transfer your deposits to an address.

It seems a good moment to be in our place: we can be the market leader for the first time with few or not competitors at all, but honestly we are not ready to start investing again on Paytoshi. We are not against selling Paytoshi to interested parties, but we wont close out just because we dont need it.

Thanks to all our users, it's been a pleasant ride!
Cheers

What a sad day.

Your support was always excellent. Sorry for not generating more income for you.

Good luck in all future endeavors!
349  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetHub.io - Micropayment system. FaucetBox alternative. on: November 08, 2016, 03:43:57 AM
Yes to all.

Regarding #4,
I could keep that information on-site for 30 days and have an option where users can download it.
It would do that way too I guess?

Excellent!

30 days would be more than enough, even 1 week is pretty great.

As for DOGE, our own volume is definitely not enough to make it worthwhile, but hopefully enough DOGE faucet owners would turn up and sway you.

Staying tuned.
350  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] SatoshiGalaxy - Browser MMORPG + BTC Faucet on: November 08, 2016, 03:32:43 AM
help me please i cant get cpu anymore

Your account is banned and will remain banned. I've already explained it.

Update!

So, it turns out Paytoshi is closing too!

Woah.

That means that even if FaucetHUB becomes a thing, it will be a monopoly and we don't like to depend on a single entity.

We're not going to implement our own faucetbox clone, but we have added on-chain withdrawal support today.

The rules for it are pretty damning, as we require minimum 100000 withdrawal amount and take 20000 satoshi fee on top of that. Sorry, but it's pretty impossible to work around this. (Maybe the fees can be reduced if the grouping thing works nicely).

Here's the migration plan:

Referral payments are going to keep coming to FaucetBOX for now.

On December 7th, we will automatically move everyone to new Referral withdrawal method, and using FaucetBOX.com for that is not going to be an option anymore. (New method will be either FaucetHUB, if it is ready by that point or Direct, if not).

We will no longer refill Paytoshi balance, ever.

We will no longer refill FaucetBOX/DOGE balance, ever.

We will keep refilling FaucetBOX/BTC balance until December 10th.

On December 14th, we will disable Paytoshi payouts completely.

On December 19th, we will disable FaucetBOX payouts completely.

People will be able to (and already can) update their preferred referral withdrawal method. (Take a look at your account page).

If you are a referral mogul, you might want to change it.

Please, do ask questions if something is unclear.
351  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetHub.io - Micropayment system. FaucetBox alternative. on: November 06, 2016, 11:04:21 PM
I am really hoping this works out because I need a reliable way for my ptp networks to pay out no minimum. I don't want to have to change people 20k satoshi just to withdraw their earnings, so I REALLY need micropayment api!

Thanks a lot for creating this.

Absolutely. People think micro-wallets are only good for faucets, but they actually solve the dust transactions (and fees) issues rather nicely. The whole bitcoin community should be interested, not just faucet people.
352  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetHub.io - Micropayment system. FaucetBox alternative. on: November 06, 2016, 11:01:06 PM
I'm gonna start working on this project from tomorrow, since I've been coding for faucetgame all day long. Will just stay on bitcointalk to reply to any questions.

Great to know, thank you.

I'll throw some additional ideas, feel free to discard them completely, but it's something that could be useful to keep in mind.

1. FaucetBOX had a flag for referral payouts, which is a nice thing. Hopefully yours will have this too.

2. If you're going to release an SDK/library to do the talking to the API, please include the HTTP timeout from the get go. FB refused to patch their lib that way, and it's the reason you see a blank white page instead of withdrawal status on many of the faucets. (the max_execution_time or whatever it's called in PHP is running out cutting script mid-way).

3. It would be very nice to have a "bulk payment" API. FB told us it doesn't matter, as it would be the same thing as doing multiple transactions (bar the HTTP overhead), but we still disagree on that. With some clever coding, you can return a response status immediately, and process the actual thing later/async. No need to explain it to you in more detail, as you are a capable dev.

4. FB (and Paytoshi) clean up their logs, so it's hard for end-users to collect stats. We suggested having an RSS feed, so people could accumulate those logs locally on their machines. Could be quite nice! (But it's the lowest priority request ever, you can do it after a year or so, not much people would care). Also, no idea if you're planning on wiping the logs too, so the point might be very moot.
353  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetBOX.com Discussion on: November 06, 2016, 10:39:13 PM
Kazuldur, thanks for the great service and support.

It was quite a ride. Good luck in your future endeavors.
354  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetHub.io - Micropayment system. FaucetBox alternative. on: November 06, 2016, 10:35:42 PM
Hey, just wanted to chime in and say it's really great you are doing this.

1. Please don't skim on the API docs (unless you are cloning FB api 1:1), especially the error codes, fail states, etc.

2. Are you going to include altcoins, such as DOGE? Not a priority, but some heads up would be nice.

Good luck! Watching this very closely.
355  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] SatoshiGalaxy - Browser MMORPG + BTC Faucet on: November 06, 2016, 10:25:35 PM
On FaucetBOX closing.

So you guys have heard the news.

FaucetBOX is closing down, as explained here https://faucetbox.com/en/closing

1. What does it mean for SatoshiGalaxy?

Nothing really. We have always supported Paytoshi as a our back-up microwallet and we're just going to keep using that.

We will also change the refilling rates for those two, starting today.

The ref. payouts will also move to Paytoshi during the next few days.

2. FaucetHUB?

mexicantarget, a well-known and respected player in faucet community is going to start his own micro-payment service,

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1672870.0

As soon as it's up to our standards, we will add support for it.

3. DOGE withdrawals.

Out of all micro-payment services only FaucetBOX supported alts such as LTC and DOGE. Paytoshi does not support them.

That means that we will have to disable DOGE withdrawals.

If Paytoshi (or FaucetHUB) add support for DOGE, those will come back.

FaucetBOX was always good to us in regards to support, and they provided a top notch service. Beside being a faucet hub, they also solve the problem
of dust transactions accumulating crazy fees for users (off-chain), which we believe is a very important service for all Bitcoin users in general.

Without FaucetBOX, SatoshiGalaxy wouldn't have even started as a project and we owe much of it to them.

In all honesty, Paytoshi were even better to us in terms of their support (they fixed the API bugs and even merged our patches to their library, FaucetBOX outright ignored those same patches). In our opinion they deserve a surge in traffic and use.

And we have great hopes for FaucetHUB, because mexicantarget has shown a great track record of being a crazy productive dev. In fact, we might see something new and cool.

Thanks to @pcjob for tipping us off.
356  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] SatoshiGalaxy - Browser MMORPG + BTC Faucet on: November 06, 2016, 07:28:06 AM
Hey guys. No, that is absolutely not something that should be happening.

Doomsday is therefore disabled until we figure it out. Looks like the bug is over-reaching and probably involves pirates too. But people were probably ignoring it, thinking they were just unlucky. (And we were probably ignoring the rare reports for the same reasons).

I have the logs of the battle, and the list of the supposed looted (but no fairness proof to go with it :( ) I'll distribute it by hand :(

By the way, we had a pending article explaining the black box in detail, but it never got finished and/or published on the site. I'll probably post the abridged version here.

p.s it will be nice to see what modules are destroyed, instead of empty massages like this:
http://prntscr.com/d3oh9f

Meh, they told me this was fixed already. Thanks for the report!

Update: OK, I've sent some somewhat similar stuff your way. I don't feel too good about it because I had to figure this out on my own, and looting is the kind of a process that should happen with as little human intervention as possible. I can't guarantee it would've been distributed the same way... Sorry about all the commotion.
357  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] SatoshiGalaxy - Browser MMORPG + BTC Faucet on: November 06, 2016, 04:41:56 AM
So in general building factories on planets are pretty lame seeing as you mostly need more than one item to craft up stuff like CPU's, Industrial Motherboards, Components, Lasers, etc.

What if a system is implemented whereby you can connect your planets, much like the labs can be connected, but of course only the planets you personally own. Doing so you would then be able to tell one planet to produce Industrial Motherboards for example, by connecting it to a planet that produces 30nm circuits, another planet that produces 20nm circuits, and a third planet that produces gold bars. Once there are enough components on each of those other planets it is transferred to the planet that will then use it to produce an Industrial Motherboard.

This is excellent stuff. We don't want planet management to be fully automatic (ever), for obvious reasons. But we tossed around a few ideas of how to make something like this happen. Whichever direction we pick, it will HAVE to involve player activity. Maybe you would be able to hire newbies to haul materials for you. No promises here, but that's something we'd love to see.

(In the meantime, my advice would be to utilize social element and maybe make some deals to that effect).

Well, if it helps any, twice now I waited for a long time >5mins and the log shows that the pirate I shot down exploded at the very same instant as me in the log.  Seems linked somehow.  Also, doesn't really seem like a rare thing.  On average pirates have been exploding 3-4 minutes after landing the last shot...

The "events happening at exactly the same moment" is not really a problem, that's how the game operates. You might have seen the "Last turn" printout on the main page.

But for the bug itself, yeah :( I've already bumped the priority on that one, but it's a tricky beast.

Thank you for balancing the energy usage for crafting a bit more. It really helps a lot. Hopefully we'll see an announcement of this next time  ;)

As much as I would LOVE to take credit for that, I'm afraid it happened on it's own somehow. Must be that dynamic economy thing in play.

@onlinedigger, got your explanations and suggestions, thanks. Very interesting stuff.
358  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] SatoshiGalaxy - Browser MMORPG + BTC Faucet on: November 01, 2016, 02:57:27 PM
I already sent this by email, but today it happened again and even worse...

How come it can take over 6 minutes after you land the last shot on a pirate to see "_________ explodes in a ball of light" and be able to loot them?  Sometimes it is instantaneous and other times you have to sit there waiting and getting shot... in the 6 minutes I waited i went from almost full health to 5 health.

Yeah, this happens form time to time, but is extremely rare. We weren't able to ever reproduce this bug, so fixing it is kinda hard. It looks like it only happens when server is under serious duress.

I've bumped the priority on this one. Thanks for the report!

Hey toecutter,

Can we make suggestions again for new game elements or are you guys still in a "bugs only" phase?

Sure, shoot! I think things have been stable enough for a while to try something new. Usual disclaimer apply, though :)
359  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] SatoshiGalaxy - Browser MMORPG + BTC Faucet on: October 29, 2016, 08:56:59 AM
I can propose some improvements:
  - make CPU icon clickable http://prntscr.com/d05dby and send me to ...ship#cpu
  - make h(I)nts for blackboxes http://prntscr.com/d05f57 , because there are no info for ship, like this http://prntscr.com/d05gdf
  - make additional game element with 'news' about planet wars and aspecialy about events :)
  - for newbies - station quests: (labyrinth, crazy racing...).

For quests https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space_Rangers_%28video_game%29 , this game we need and this game we almost look-a-like :) There is browser based game witch closer in graphics, but not in earnings (~50 RUR in a week, if lucky).

As says przmax, we need some tutorial, but with careful of bots and multiaccounts. Maybe after tutorial, player have to mine 10 asteroids and then accuount will be approved for withdrawals?

Not bad, and at least 1 idea is already on the list. Thanks!

But could you please elaborate on station quests? We never heard of Space Rangers :( Looks like a great game, though, and man, Star Control 2 is a huge influence on us.

Off-topic: did you guys know you can play it for free, as "Ur-Quan Masters"? No need for DOSBox either!
360  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] SatoshiGalaxy - Browser MMORPG + BTC Faucet on: October 27, 2016, 06:49:50 PM
Terebellum I renamed to Terebellum 0 for testing reasons Smiley, but can't rename it back to Terebellum I, because: Unable to administrate planet: Name is already taken by another planet

Ahh, I see!

It's a remnant of the old problem we had closer to the start of the galaxy. For some reason 3 systems were named Terebellum, so I had to go in and rename them manually. But not the planets, so it's a bit screwed. My fault.

Please don't mind this, and just pick a different name or conquer and rename those other Terebellum planets. Hopefully that's not too much of an issue.
