bitcoin only. the sites do the escrowing most of the time so they're gonna be pretty conservative. if I was a drug dealer then bitcoin's volatility would be enough of a headache already. I wouldn't want any more.

I've read that they're gonna accept monero and instantly convert it to btc. that seems like hard work to me.

not harder than being in prison cuz they datamined the shit out of bitcoins public ledger and they can follow your shady transactions untill 2012...

ah well, some people don't want to get it I guess... but I'll try again: monero is F U N G I B L E, bitcoin not...

good luck

I'd like AG-parity...

345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [XMR] Monero - Marketing Team & Tactics on: August 29, 2016, 02:51:56 PM
Monero is badly written...JC ONLY founded 12 exploits and believe me, there are more Smiley you think your viewkey is save now? That you are the one who has access to it?

NSA loves the story that XMR will be the darknet money hahaha....enjoy your drug buys boys

If there have been exploits found, please exploit them and then post about it here.

Otherwise your claim is bullshit.

How is your joint venture with the admin of Alphabay, my friend? Everything working well? When are you planning to cash out?

ja man, je bent nog achterlijker dan ik dacht, samenrapen van geruchten en halve waarheden en dan maar onzin verspreiden en verander anders je naam naar DumbAss, past beter bij je...

veel plezier nog

ooooooh, how cute, another 'stealing john connor' fanboy... please, where is the proof for the 12 exploits, and no, I won't believe you since you're obviously full of shit...

enjoy your stupidity

Yeah, a criminal will give his viewkey to the police to audit his account lol. Never thought of that...damn

Euh, your question was: "do you really think this well be the new darknet money", with a quote about the viewkey... Please explain why the viewkey would render xmr impossible as darknet money?

thanks in advance.

best regards

Quote
While regulators are wary of cryptocurrencies, Spagnim said that Monero offers a "view key" that would allow an auditor, or the police, to audit the Monero account without being able to spend its funds. "It works quite well with old-fashioned police work, if they're worried about bad guys."

You really think this will be the new darknet money roflmao

I think you don't understand... monero is optionally public if the owner of the wallet gives his viewkey... If he doesn't want to give the key, it's totally anonymous...

bitcoin is always public...

what would you use?

roflmao...

349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much is Monero actually being used on the darknet markets? on: August 29, 2016, 01:20:03 PM
MOnero is a child oriented coin, with an aggressive marketing and a full day spam on this board.

is the essence of nothing pumped to the moon because the low supply.

This dark market thing is an excuse to pump the coin with their polo friends.

They will come back to nothing as they deserve.

- aggressive marketing, please show me this... monero doesn't even have a marketing team... just lots of enthousiasts... this is in stark contrast to some other coins who have funded marketing teams and who buy online coverage...

- actually the supply has ben pretty high, unless I am totally mistaken, I would like you to show some numbers about supply that support your claim...

- might be an excuse, though I think it's more about utility, monero has an actual usecase now, this again in stark contrast to lots of other coins who promise a lot, but who actually bring nothing new... monero brings total anonimity and thus fungibility, read that again, F U N G I B I L I T Y....

- only time will tell...

Sorry to say, but your post reeks of lots of butthurt cause you missed the rally... You obviously have no clue about the fundamentals which make monero one of the most fascinating crypto-projects at the moment... You're peddling bullshit, and it's very noticeable...

Instead of sounding like a grumpy old guy, I advise you to do some research, I'm almost sure you will come to the same conclusions...

No one can justify this price, wake up people.

lol, people said the same when btc was $5... those were the days, maybe they're back... i sure hope so  Wink

351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: August 29, 2016, 09:11:57 AM
I must have sold well over 300k XMR so far, 46k i sold for 550btc was all that was left (sold 150k+ in September 2015 to buy Ethereum, currently holding 70,000 eth).

nice way to let everyone know that you're an idiot who sold way to early...

best regards

The only clueless idiot here is you. I've made a fortune on ethereum - wouldn't have happened if i hadn't sold shitcoin monero.

Time will tell, but I think the xmr-chart looks much nicer Wink

Breaking out?  Huh

354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: August 26, 2016, 10:24:15 PM
If you will allow me to play devils advocate. I have very little faith in the mental faculties of my fellow man. Consequently I find it hard to believe that dash failed to gain traction on the darknet markets it was introduced on as a result of any sort of technical understanding on the part of market actors. Meaning, to most of them, monero is going to appear indistinguishable. What reason do we have to believe a private currency will gain traction this time when it failed last time?

If I were a vendor, I would ask risk premia for using bitcoin, or just not accept it at all if I had xmr as an alternative... No need for lots of mental faculties when you're scared

355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could Monero replace Bitcoin soon? on: August 26, 2016, 08:03:54 PM
Yea if it will be so popular in terrorist world then all exchanges based in civilized countries will be force to stop trading it.
All people who will have open xmr wallet will be juge as terrorist and you will see that masses 10 person per day able to use XMR.
Do you think that any government will allow such tool to exist, they will put in prison for having XMR client in computer.
You will see liquid of XMR hmm bugattis which are sold once per year at dealer if goverment will ban such coin.
Terrorism is good ecscuse for them for more control in USA currently you can go to jail without court for forever because they suspect that you are terrorist.
If they target XMR as terrorist money GL to that coin. Dev will land in prison as well as it was with guys who was developing disk encryption.
They claim that disk encryption is weapon and he went to jail Cheesy.
You won't hide with your xmr in hole dark net is nice marketing stuff but it can be really death blow at end for coin.

PS: A day when XMR would be popular in terrorist community its best day to sell IMO.

unbelievable... all the exact same arguments that were used in 2012 and 2013 against bitcoin are now used against monero...

very very very bullish!

356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Leading Dark Net Markets to Support Monero on: August 26, 2016, 10:59:49 AM
just wait for the FBI to announce that they cannot trace transactions from XMR dealings. then we will see some craaaaazy panic buying again

How about they just make it a felony to own Monero, or any other anon coin?
Thats what I see coming, sooner than later.
How about its just a project pushed by some three letter agency, to attract and track down people who have a business interest in anon coins?

- Tried before with gold, alcohol, other drugs, file sharing, ... these policies have always been one big failure...

- if such news would arrive, let's fork it away from that agency...

357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why the bitmonero/monero Ninjalaunched Cripplemined Fastmine matters on: August 25, 2016, 11:04:53 AM
Yes dash had what is commonly referred to as a accedental instamine as opposed to some coins that have a planned instamine where lots of coins are mined in a very short period of time. These are usually pos coins and they mine all the pow coins in a few days to a few weeks or more.
Monero is a good example of a fastmine but it could be considered a instamine too, which I don't think applies but who's to say.

Look, I get that you're invested in Dash, I get that you want to defend that investment and that's allright... I do like some aspects of Dash, the governance system is nice and all... But your writings above are on the edge of delusional. An investor/enthousiast should always remain objective, you sir are not anymore and for an investor that is very dangerous...

Don't get married to your investment...

358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why the bitmonero/monero Ninjalaunched Cripplemined Fastmine matters on: August 25, 2016, 09:13:21 AM
You can't fastmine almost 13 million coins in the first 2 years and not expect volatility and big bubbles to form. Monero is proving to be very volatile due to its mining emission curve and lack of masternodes.
Aha aha ahahahaha, are you high?

A fast-/pre-/insta-/whatevermine looks like this:

10 - 15% of the total supply in the first 24 hours...

359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Didn't Monero have massive problems in terms of blockchain size? on: August 24, 2016, 03:22:36 PM
Monero has an infinite supply, it's an inflationary coin... I wouldn't expect the price to reach massive amounts like BTC. If I had XMR I would sell some right now. Common sense says that such a pump cannot be sustained for much longer. Good luck, im staying out.

gold is also inflationary... infinite supply... its price is higher than bitcoin atm... sure, this pump may not last, but is it really a pump when it happens because something actually gains utility? It's not a pump because of some stupid marketing shenanigans...

monero doesn't even have a GUI yet, has a shitty website and no marketing team... still the price is $4.6... make your own conclusions

Ehhh are you really comparing gold with any cryptocurrency? If you can compare gold to any crypto, that's Bitcoin.

In any case, what makes crypto great is the deflationary and certainty of the total supply. And my conclusions is that this coin is pumped as fuck. I dont know what will happen to those "anonymous coins" once Bitcoin releases all the improvements in privacy that are coming next year.

off course I can compare to gold, gold has an inflation-rate of about 2% yearly... gold has been money and been inflationary for about 5000 years, your point being...?

Bitcoin can't even decide on it's blocksize, good luck on all the other changes that you're waiting for... maybe they will come, but until now they're just vaporware... but still, good luck

edit: btw comparing bitcoin to gold ain't right, bitcoin isn't even fungible...

best regards

Dude do you have bricks for brains? Segwit is comming with 0.13.1. We are at 0.13.0 already, Segwit code is added in testnet, we will have it in the next version. Remember when people said Segwit was "vaporware"??

Next year we will start to see the first sidechains and CT. Bitcoin is king of crypto, deal with it.

And stop comparing gold with any crypto, that is stupid. Gold has legendary network effect. It is in every human's brain to link gold with wealth. You can't compare it with any crypto, only to BTC because BTC is THE crypto.

Dude, i'll believe it when i see it...

Comparison to gold only because you were rambling on over inflationary tendencies...

VCR is king!
