344  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should I buy BTC or DCA other coins? on: May 25, 2022, 09:43:44 AM
I think any good coin works with DCA,,, but I might as well say a good coin only means ETH and BTC. I know everyone is talking about BNB and SOL and ADA or whatever but these coins honestly speaking do not have any utility other than artificial ones created by their creators.

Nobody ever uses BNB if they are not just trying to switch things for cheap/fast but ETH 2.0 will turn that obsolete.
345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin investments have become risky this day. on: May 25, 2022, 09:04:39 AM
It is just like saying can the sun shine. Altcoins have been very risky since the day they have started to be created, ICOs, IEOs, pump and dump, DeFi and many others are risky. Some are like ponzi scheme and some are just not worth it.

During bull run, you can buy altcoins, but during bear market, better to sell because they are most volatile and some altcoins will remain dead.

Buying altcoin at all-time-high is another problem because most of them do not use to reach all-time-high again. You can check many altcoin created like 5 years ago to see that I am right, which means they are not store of value.

Exactly. Investment by definition means risky. People can and do lose money.

And then we take a look into crypto,,, which by definition is highly volatile and more crowded with scams and vaporware than actual coins with true value.

You say some are like ponzi, I even believe most are. 99% is not an exagerration because for every Bitcoin there are 99 scams.
346  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Experience of using a cryptorobot on: May 25, 2022, 07:04:07 AM
But I guess people think of bots as 'tricks' to earn.

Quite right. A bot is just an automation of your knowledge and skills, few people want to sit at a computer all day and watch the price, in this case algo trading helps. And those who think that there are some universal settings that will make the bot work with a single button, then they strongly doubt it, I put such traders in the same category that uses copy trading, telegram signals and others. These are naive people who think that they can outsmart the market using these methods of earning and can get rich on it, while not delving into anything. This will never happen.

Actually on the contrary many people want to sit at the computer all day to watch the price, hence the wrong use of trading tools like bots. They shit there and sit there running their bot and wonder why they are not making profits.

Then they take over in impatience and tweak all day and worry,,, taking away the exact whole point of the bot, which is automation!

@Trofo @rdbase what? they advertise buwaytress on radio? How come I never heard it  Grin

20 mbtc was 1000 euros back then when you won? And now only something less than 600 euro. How time flies for us all in crypto world,,, but it does not matter. I think I still put my standard sports bet at 0.15 mbtc back last year until now.

Weirdly I have more and more USDT in my account from freebets. over $120 so far!!
348  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Physical Bitcoin for the 3rd World on: May 25, 2022, 05:20:59 AM
I've read about this in the past, but now the site seems to be down: https://satoshi.radio.br/
but I've found a copy: https://web.archive.org/web/20220405084343/https://satoshi.radio.br/wp/

Another one I've found and it's the first time I see it is https://txtenna.com/

Also don't forget the Opendime-like solutions as physical replacements for Bitcoin, although they're a bit expensive.

Amazing,,, even I did not know of this and figures that somebody already thought about it. Radio in Brazil, it totally makes sense.

Broadcasting transactions over the radio seems like a step backward. How would this increase privacy?

Dollar bills (which are currently used) are paper too. Let's take currency evolution one step at a time.

I think privacy is something to figure out later,,, we want people to use them first. And if we are talking Africa then people are pretty 'private' already being many unelectronically documented Smiley

Dollar bills can be more secure as the tech to print it is much higher,,, we are talking material and I thought something like radio is underused layer that has high access in undeveloped places.
349  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Experience of using a cryptorobot on: May 24, 2022, 11:04:57 AM
I talked for some time with algo traders who actively trade through robots and came to the conclusion that the most efficient bot is the one that is written with your own hand for a specific strategy based on statistics or a robot written by some programmer to order, for your strategy. All robots that are purchasable off-the-shelf solutions will not bring long-term success, especially robots that are trying to sell online for a small amount.

Which actually is the whole point of bots that many people do not realize.

Bot is not to magically create strategies for you. That job is your job, to find the strategy that works for your level of time, bankroll and risk,,, bot is simply there to automate those strategies and let you sleep and do other things instead of staring at the screen the whole day Smiley

But I guess people think of bots as 'tricks' to earn.
350  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: May 24, 2022, 09:00:42 AM
It was an eventful Pizza day on the site and I am sure they did give out the 100mbtc drops.
It was just that nobody in the chat received them or they would of certainly posted about it.

From my memory I know you, Trofo and buwaytress are the forum members that have got the drops before,,, I know there are more and those early drops even people got 100 mbtc drops so it is always good to check in on those days. They seem to do 1 every Black Friday if I recall correctly,,, so that is like 2 drops a year.

Waiting for my turn to get up and not sleep for a chance  Grin
351  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Physical Bitcoin for the 3rd World on: May 24, 2022, 07:06:53 AM
But why do we have to think so extreme from paper to internet? I am sure there are other technologies in between that everyone in Africa can access like radio. Electricity I believe is the main problem but if you could have something like a radio that runs on batteries for weeks. I know I could be sounding nonsense but this is my thought and maybe a genius can point it out.

I mean, paper is great but I live in Asia and it is very humid and well,,, if you had important papers lying around there is someone ready to break into it.

Imagine if there is no internet what is the possibility they have good safes or safety deposit box?
352  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 - Main sponsor of Southampton FC 👋👋 on: May 24, 2022, 05:57:48 AM

I just wanted to share,,, after aome time, I cashed in a freebet from the last 4-3-free promotion. Arsenal for sure went on a rampage and caused me to lose out $40 but it did not matter as the $10 turned into $29. I wish I could exchange this to BTC on Sportsbet itself as I am running out  Grin

Do notice the display graphic shows $0 but actually I won $10 from hitting 3/4. Next 4-free is Liverpool Real Madrid and this one is worth $200  Shocked

Thank you Arsenal,,, such a pity they missed Champions League (to my team).

@CLS63 you have inspired me on my next small freebet I will do 1000x bet!
353  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What approach do you expect from the Government if your Country adopt bitcoin? on: May 24, 2022, 05:24:32 AM
I don't think that any governments should be refraining from Bitcoin as an investment but having such a high asset allocation into a risky investment vehicle (such as that of crypto) is not indicative of good governance.
I don't know much about El Salvador economy but is the amount of bitcoin they have really considered high allocation? Last I checked it was about $70 million worth of bitcoin and most of it was bought around $30k so they don't seem to have really lost money either.
I actually think this was a good move. Bought in some of the dips and they are going to hold it as a valuable asset. We all know how bitcoin's long term appreciation is and risking $100 mil on it could be a good investment.

Yes I think I remember reading that both Saylor and Bekele are even at just below $30k,,, they did manage to buy lower than that but because they are DCA like me they bought also closer to ATH. I would say excellent choice made as this is just the bear and they are stocking it up anyway,,, ATH return is doubling it.

Only I do not know why Salvadorian president keeps tweeting he bought more BTC in a vain attempt to influence price.
354  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Did you live through the last bear market ? If so, what did you learn ? on: May 23, 2022, 01:13:52 PM
I started with crypto currencies in 2016. Back then cryptos where mostly a tool for me to quickly buy and sell CSGO skins. There were no verifications needed and it was so much faster than waiting for bank transfers, especially when dealing with international websites. It was also the first time I gambled at online casinos with crypto casinos. Unfortunately I converted all my bitcoins from back then to fiat money as soon as the first signs of a bear market appeared. I didn't look at crypto coins as long term investments what was one of my biggest mistakes. After a long break I only came back during the last big bull run. So my biggest recommendation for anybody is to not lose hope during bear phases. The crypto markets move in cycles and will eventually recover. Being part of panic selling right now is a bad decision, I will not make the same mistake twice.

I will always remember DOTA and CSGO ads in the old days when they were paying Bitcoin to the lower prize winners, and US dollars to the top prize winners. That is how it also got skin traded as I was told,,, and always I wondered if those winners ever kept their BTC or not.

But totally correct, BTC has something useful that is apparent and available anywhere any time regardless of price. This is not true with any other altcoin perhaps except for Ethereum. Every bear should teach people this.
355  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: May 23, 2022, 11:26:51 AM
Congratulations to all, I tried to make a strong yellow cap for final day but did not make it,,, but already won before so at least I know I got more than my money back just from playing, that is what I call the best thing about this pool that everyone has a chance every week.

Are we going to do Nations League or World Cup pool? My Superbru dashboard suddenly is empty, makes me feel so empty too  Tongue

Son is first Asian Golden Boot winner, so proud of him!
356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Find save DeFi Projects with high yields. on: May 23, 2022, 09:25:28 AM
But APYs keep changing every minute, hour, day. One day old info and it becomes obsolete,,, why not just use something like 1inch or Plasma.Finance that checks the actual on-chain info in 24 hours or 7 day or 1 month period?

Then you always get highest immediately,,, simply by sorting from high to low Smiley

Not criticizing, just wondering why this is better than a wallet connected to aggregator

Then your VPN is leaking your real site. You have to use a good VPN with software and no DNS leak Smiley

Yes, indeed, after turning on OpenVPN, it was possible to connect and go to the site without problems, using Avira vpn it was not possible to go to the site, thanks for the hint. Smiley

Good to know it was helpful for you! I think these days more and more VPNs are not working because of that DNS leak,,, for me actually my company uses VPNs anyway for work so I cannot even use a true direct connection at the office but that is good for me so I can go to gambling sites (any site is allowed except adult and hate sites).

Maybe it's time for the site to take a look to implement new software or maybe increase the game selection. There are other software providers you can choose from, but the site might also consider offering a sportsbook or maybe something like a live casino. That is also very popular nowadays. I am sure that many players would like to see these changes/innovations.

Already talked about like 100 times in this page,,, please understand the site is focusing on improving current offerings. We do not want a sportsbook and 10 new features without the old ones working perfect.

And like Coin_trader says, you did not even look at the site. We also have Live Casino already man, so stop spamming threads with your junk.
358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night & Main Event: Sportsbet.io Predictions & discussion on: May 23, 2022, 05:25:55 AM
Good decision because Vieira won against Holm and it was a shock to her if you see her body language at the end of the fight.
Holm had around 9 minutes of total control time throughout the fight but still lost.
I believe she even had a knockdown in the middle rounds but Vieira had some solid kicks in most of the rounds.
Congratulations if you got the contender @2.95x prematch odds.

Only for picks not for betting but yes I think even in control and with knockdown in the end brute force which is just not possible at certain ages is not enough,,, and that is for giving it, taking it is even worse at a later age. Well done if you made any good picks Smiley

I do see some youtube channel said it was a robbery Cool

For sure still an achievement to make it to Round 5 however!
359  Economy / Gambling / Re: Blackjack.fun | 0.28% House edge | Live tables | Baccarat |Slots| InstantWithraw on: May 22, 2022, 10:03:47 AM
And sorry about the problem with roulette. I only use Bitcoin every single casino,,, so cannot offer help there. Why not exchange your crypto for BTC to gamble?

Yeah there's seems some visual bug too on website when using mobile phone. I experience glitches whenever I click multiple games in short interval. The developer is always doing regular maintenance every month to optimize all bugs. We just need to keep posting here or in the chatbox all the issue we encounter while playing on the casino to help them improve it quickly.

I don't like to convert my altcoins to Bitcoin and use it to play because exchange has a flat rate of 0.0005BTC on the withdrawal and this a huge amount for just depositing for gambling purposes. I'm still happy playing despite only evolution gaming games and in-house games are what I can play.  Wink

I think that is because the UI needs to 'finish' or 'settle' all of the animations first. I get the same thing if I want to like place a new bet/rebet or do a new action, some bets do not settle until you go back to the previous game and allow the animation to finish (even the part where your wins are credited and the numbers in your balance all run up fast like speedometer).

Try using 2-layer DEX like 1inch to swap, very low fees on Polygon to BTC, then go sell it p2p Wink Troublesome at first but worth it!

It's interesting, but no matter how many times I tried, I still couldn't get to the blackjack website.fun to register, even through vpn I tried a bunch of location options and always get the message: "We are very sorry but it appears that your IP is from United States and due to Gambling Regulations the domain blackjack.fun does not accept gambling from your country" Sad

Then your VPN is leaking your real site. You have to use a good VPN with software and no DNS leak Smiley

Yes,,, Everton never relegated and same as my team Spurs, and in fact, only now Everton is the one who almost got it, all other clubs have been very far away it never became realistic.

This explains the way I understand is why to some people the real Big Six: Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, Everton. And why Everton see themselves as a big club right?
