3441  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: C-CEX on: March 15, 2017, 11:13:02 AM
If its sent by email and link is along with it, don't click the link. Its best to just write down the url c-cex.com on the navigation bar than clicking the link for it could be a fishing link.
What I do if that happens to me is change my password to that  account and like the advice said enable the 2fa.  If its  me that logged to the IP address then I can just ignore that message. Also I will contact their support to verify if someone else got into your account.

C-CEX as far as I know is all altcoin exchange like polo. Its no thread to your creditcard or paypal account but still important if yo have tons of coins there.
3442  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you track coins getting into an exchange and out? on: March 15, 2017, 09:50:04 AM
For someone who just want to trade every day and sends btc wherever I am, I'm used to using a mobile wallet. Are the coins in this Mobile wallet also considered NOT mine?

The question to be answered is: do YOU hold the secret key of those coins (and you alone) ?  Then the coins are yours.  Does someone else own the keys and you just tell them to move them ?  Then THEY own them.

There seem to have no other option for me and the rest of my fellow Filipinos. its the wallet that we used because to company worked with the local remittances here in our country which we can pay our bills using their wallets. Its somehow trusted here although I understand we don't have the private key. I don't remember I was given when I sign up. I can't either create another wallet too. Sucks to have some a company that dominates the entire country.

Anyway,  I can't track the coins nor the exchange can help. Its a dead end for that case.
3443  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you track coins getting into an exchange and out? on: March 15, 2017, 09:03:50 AM

I'm tracking the coins I've sent to a friend who wants to bet online in exchange for the hard cash he had. This friend asked for bitcoin for which his prime reason is to bet NBA games, later did I learn he sold his btc for higher price to someone on facebook and now he was scammed.

If this has been asked before please provide the link because I have been dying to track the coins I've sent. Its been sent to bittrex exchange but will an exchange help me find what yo are looking for or am I on my own?

The short answer is no.

This is in direct conflict with the privacy conditions that the exchanges may or may not have, especially if it's a small amount under $10k they will not bother looking into it for you.

Just make sure your friends knows how many scammers are out there, before he makes any deals.

$200 is too far from being $10k. I wouldn't bother look it for him anymore, its disturbing to learn that a fellow countrymen scammed him. I forgot to warn him about sending btc the first if he will make transactions to someone.

There is a big misunderstanding of "coins on an exchange".  When you have "coins on an exchange", you don't have coins any more.  The exchange has your coins.  The only thing you have, is a PROMISE (an IOU, I Owe You) on the exchange's web site to give you back coins.  That promise is worth as much as your belief in their honesty.

If I lend you $1000,-, and you write me a paper that you OWE ME $1000,-, then YOU have the dollars, and I have the paper.  My paper is worth $1000,- in as much as one believes your promise.

Not exactly what I was hoping for an answer but you are right.

3445  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin had a stable price, would it still be as popular? on: March 15, 2017, 06:34:13 AM
Do you think if BTC had a stable price which could only be altered by $0.01-0.10 it would still be as popular and as used?

Bitcoin has been already  popular a couple of years past even up to now it became more popular because of the demand of the people who'll get interest to use bitcoin. Moreover, there are big whaler investors are adopting the concepts of it too.

But then bitcoin wouldn't be known if the price is stable, there wouldn't be investors flocking to buy it. It will be like a storage of wealth like tether that maintains a value of $1 per token. Its not going to help but if you are unsure where the market is going that when tether is going to be useful. Bitcoin's price inflates which is why if its price is lower than usual, people buy. And those investors profit when price spikes, they will then dump for the profit. Its how healthy ecosystem works.
3446  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the most expensive things sold for bitcoins? on: March 14, 2017, 09:07:02 PM
I think the first pizza which was purchased by Bitcoin was the most expensive thing sold for Bitcoin. That pizza cost more than 10000 Bitcoin and according to the current price, it is more valuable than any houses or lamborghini car. Damn it, I wish I was the guy who received those Bitcoin.
to me i personally have no idea  about this, because people may be using it for purchasing different thing, i think people will even be using bitcoin for purchasing a house.

During that time, 10000 bitcoin may not matter to you. I'm not familiar with the story but I would assume its going to be less than a hundred USD.  Sure its going to be expensive this time. 10000 BTC is worth more than 10 million already, you're not going to earn that much even if you worth your whole life and sell your kidney and liver. Its still going to be less than million. 10M BTC is worth more than freedom these days. If I have that BTC right now, I could buy an island and create my own city.
3447  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN]CONNECT-An open source P2P encrypted messaging & onchain bitcoin wallet APP on: March 14, 2017, 05:53:26 PM
I just saw the advertisement about this project on this forum and impressed with the design. Integrating bitcoin wallet in this messenger is a good move. I will surely give it a try. I am expecting a good user experience from the design, let's see.

Clicked the ad too when it said, big brother is watching over  Grin
Can any of you share the groups you created and lets see where we can join, they offer 1-2 BTC for a busy group. I don't know whether they'd give that 1-2 btc to the members but just wanted to check how this app works. Its a pretty cool idea. I remember there was an ICO about messenger too, I don't know if this is it.  But this app is a killer. Could be a good marketplace for shady individuals.
3448  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ETF: Better rejected or approved? on: March 14, 2017, 12:59:51 PM
all we can say at this point is that the approval of this ETF could have been better than the rejection of it.
but being rejected nothing is going to change for bitcoin, we never needed it in the first place. it could be a nice "option" for certain people out there to invest in bitcoin and show bitcoin in a positive light to the world as a side effect. but bitcoin should always remain decentralized and investing in it should also be done this way.

The decentralization is going to be just a lie when ETF is approved. Its always going to be monitored, your stash and the transactions you will be doing. The recent rise of altcoins is just one of the effect. Its the opposite of what you thought could happen. Bitcoin holders will soon drop what they have to move to USD because there is no difference to it anymore.  Exchange sites monitored us loosely for now but once its approved, the registration itself might probably ask you utility bills, passport's scan and a selfie.
3449  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: is these scam ? on: March 14, 2017, 12:17:41 PM
If it doesn't ask you for money then no need to worry.  Grin

Even if it doesn't ask for money its always going to scam and find a way, they are smart scammers, they may ask you time to get involved with them.
Cloud mining existed years ago and have been scamming for years, if we all kept warning people to avoid all these sort of scheme Bitcoin may have a good reputation later.  We help each other give the spectators how united we are in preventing the frauds in the community.
3450  Economy / Lending / Re: Requesting : 0.02BTC Loan, No collateral, 180% Return, 4 day Payback period on: March 14, 2017, 11:34:50 AM

He wants people to bring him on trial if he defaulted lol that's scarier than losing 0.02 by default loan He'd rather be tagged than giving him a loan. 0.02 still is a substantial amount for which one can buy an investment. 180% return isn't tempting when they see oit comes from a newbie with nothing to offer. People were rejected even when they offer better such as domains. OP should have read the rules before asking a loan. You don't lose anything because your account is new. Try your luck somewhere else.
3451  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ETF: Better rejected or approved? on: March 14, 2017, 11:15:14 AM

Its better for Bitcoin to be rejected. We will all be regulated in the end if if were approved. Its not going to have a value of $10k per bitcoin, that's not going to happen. have you seen the effect already?  There will be another attempt for it to be approved. If the date of it approaches,  these investors will be moving their money again to altcoin like ETH and Dash. Its never a good thing for us, pretty soon they will all be sending their money to coins concentrating to anonymity features.
3452  Economy / Gambling / Re: ★No.1 BITCOIN BINARY OPTIONS ★HIGHEST REWARD 190%★1% DOUBLE DICE★EXPIRY:1~720MIN on: March 14, 2017, 10:44:08 AM
I also second to that suggestion. Accepting other currencies is a must because bitcoin network clogs a lot.  Time matters when betting in this site with just few seconds of delay, you can lose your bet already. It happened many times every times already, if you also consider Doge, maybe you can also consider DASH.  ITs value is very decent nowadays so its going to be perfect for users who have also invested to it, there are a lot of us.
3453  Economy / Economics / Re: china will no longer able to control bitcoin market??? on: March 14, 2017, 07:50:40 AM
You can't tell that for now as till date i still think 60-70% of investors are from china itself but of course the number is reducing daily and i see more chinese getting some actually sense in them. All bitcoin wants now is investments from people around the world as many are aware but for some reason not investing.

Its always them so far, the Chinese investors and miners. It can only decrease gradually but they still are as we speak.  If they can talk to one forum and control the market they easily can and will absorb all the USD if they can. It looks like they can control the world with it if now being solved by PBOC. The world is a better place without a a group of people that will control us, its one of the reason why we got into decentralized currencies.

china is only holding the greater % of mining currently, for trading they are behind japan already, and many indian people are entering the market, if the value grow more, it mean that more people are trading bitcoin

actually china people are in high numbers, if there will be more interest there they can still control the big % of the market

but apparently not all chinese are buying bitcoin, it's the opposite very few of them(in comparison with how many they are) are buying many are in the mining scene

Also saw that lately, bitflyer.jp has the top volume.
3454  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to approach the next ETF? on: March 13, 2017, 08:53:33 PM
It's safe to say that an ETF is something that we should forget about in the coming years. It's clear what the reason is for their rejection, and thus it's next to impossible to see a different ETF come through if the objectives from the SEC don't change. But then again, we don't need ETF's. Till this day everything we have gained was without anything like an ETF, so a future with possibly no ETF's won't change anything in that regard.

This is very true. Just look at what will happen next if they approved BTC.  Isn't bitcoin the only they will approved or will they be approving the rest as well which has complex technology such as DASH and ETH? This will put them into a dilemma.  SEC is government. I wouldn't expect ETF approval because after all what we have right now is already a success. We've already found our way for the Forex companies to connect to btc.
3455  Economy / Speculation / Re: Has the SEC made an approval? on: March 13, 2017, 08:07:45 PM
Price just dropped almost $300, did a negative decision come out?

I think it was denied. I read an article online that stated that the ETF was not approved. I assume it is legit, but I would have expected the price to drop even more than it has.

A lot of people around the world didn't get the memo yet. The price will likely fall further once everyone and their mother realized the ETF thing was just a hype. It will take a while, maybe a day. Others will be happy to make money shorting and some might sell just because others are selling. Perhaps a good idea to postpone buying for a bit longer.

I'm going to wait to buy a little later after things settle down. I can see the price dropping as well. Even if it's not immediate, I think the price will eventually drop more.

Waited too long, Bitcoin right back up. Who wan'ts centralized anyways, no need for btc ETF

Through their news however, it serves as a publicity for bitcoin and cryptocurrencies which is why some people from the outside are joining the party and invested to crypto.
I saw some talks in the webmasters forum recently about DASH and ETH. They were surprise why they don't know about these two for they only know Bitcoin. Its going to be a good year to invest in crypto and I'm glad I here who already have invested to some that rose up.
3456  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I grow my btc? on: March 13, 2017, 06:00:51 PM
Signature campaign can serve as means of earning some bitcoins, particularly people from developing countries where the local currency is lower compared to a US Dollar. Earning $10 BTC weekly is much there and this money can be reinvested for trading, This will surely grow the Bitcoin.
Gambling and ponzi schemes are very risky it will reduces already hard earned Bitcoin.

Someone here in the forum said that earning about $15/ month is enough to live in venezuela. Joining a signature campaign like yobit makes a person earn more than $40 a week if he just posts 20 a day.  20 posts a day is pretty easy with such motivation, you can probably buy a house there if you trade more. cost of living must be a very good for a retiree in that country. The place is warm too. Growing BTC isn't as easy but learning the skills to trade can be achieved in less than a month.
3457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looks like the DASH party is over. on: March 13, 2017, 03:38:25 PM
Just when ETF were denied, the news were out in the open and people saw it on the sec news. They got interested and find something that they actually need this kind of technology and yet if was denied.  I can understand it actually, people find out about cryptocurrencies technology and thought they don't see such thing everyday and invest to it.  FOREX traders are already here so they know how they could take advantage of all these.
3458  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you save bitcoin for fun or for future purpose? on: March 13, 2017, 09:48:36 AM
I have think of it and i have save up bitcoin just a the small amount because i have plans for it to have fun like travelling didn't even save it for future purpose. so i wanted to know what are you going to do with your bitcoin if you save bitcoin. Why do you save bitcoin for? and why? what is the purpose why you save up bitcoin to your wallet and not to spend it.

Of course for the future purpose. We can't predict what will happen in our future so it is better to save than to spend for nothing.

Future purpose includes investing to money makers like ETH. What I do with my Bitcoin is trade whenever there is an opportunity, I don't trade like setting up margins but simply buying some of the coins that I think will have value like ETH. Its sort of a long term investment. Its what I do regularly every time a coin starts to rise up more than a dollar. Its an indicator if the price reach up to a dollar, its more than likely to rise up too. Its just a matter of time.
3459  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I grow my btc? on: March 13, 2017, 09:02:09 AM
There are many ways to grow our bitcoin here, there is bitcoin faucets, you can join signature campaign, you can also do some trade int the exchange sites, or you can also buy coins in the ico on which you think is potential.

That's not making btc grow. If you wanted to your btc to grow, plant it on a soil full of nutrients.  Grin
Move your btc to the investments you've had for months which the coin isn't moving up. Stick to the coins that is stronger and have been developed over years like ETH and DASH because thats where the most people are currently investing these days.  Just look at how it grow these previous weeks. But now and you'll see your profit in a month. Don't invest to the coins that are cheap yet not growing.
3460  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: COIN ETF - Effect on Bitcoin on: March 12, 2017, 05:53:03 PM
Bitcoin will be what it is still. We don't need them to list bitcoin anywhere, we have out own list too which is in the exchanges and on coinmarketcap. It rise up from scratch and will rise more. They are given the chance to regulate the exchanges or the bitcoin companies and they rejected it. Now they will have to find the hard way to regulate cyroptocurencies and more will rise up this time. Good luck to all of us. I'm still All in with crypto.
