Their site is rather a nice place and with the sudden surge of people visiting the site 10x there must be some interest to having so many all the sudden want to join and play there.
Maybe a free giveaway on an hourly basis with happy hour is the reason why so many stick around in chat and not just log off of playing for 10 minutes like most sites activity are about.

If I'm not wrong recently, they are running 50% referral commission promotion. So many people are marketing all over the social media and forum to bring new people to the site. I don't think they never run any happy hour promotion yet. But admin is doing a good marketing to bring new people to the site.

you are not wrong, the 50% promotion is still running. it started on 20 April and it is planned to run at least until 20 May (about 20 more days remaining)

3502  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin trading data feed? on: April 29, 2017, 06:36:44 AM
just write something yourself if you can. that would be so much better and not to mention unique.
all these exchanges have an API and with a simple small call you can take their daily ticker data and use the volume, price or whatever you want and list it in a little widget on your sidebar.

i know some of third party services for "price" such as coindesk widget but never saw for "volume". although again some of these sites like coinmarketcap have an API you can call and get the data yourself.
3503  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitfinex Price Spreads & Bitcoin Bubble on: April 29, 2017, 06:30:46 AM
price is not in a bubble just because it goes up! more specifically when it goes up to where it is supposed to be at. price should have reached $1300 2 months ago before the BUllshit FUD started Cheesy

What is the most accurate price ticker in your opinion?
I know Bitcoin Average took off Bitfinex because of what is happening with them and their price rallying...

Is it Coinmarketcap.com? Or any other?
it depends on what you are planning to do!
all these "average" sites will give you an average price, just to know what price currently is, i think that will suffice. but if you want to trade based on that data or make decisions then you should directly check the price from where you want to do the trade.
also the fastest way to check the price for me is preev.com
3504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How much will LTC correct? on: April 29, 2017, 06:18:35 AM
There will be no correction only growth up to 0.03btc

impossible!
price needs to be corrected in order to rise with a healthy rate. LTC price went from 0.004 to 0.008 and it had a correction then from there to 0.01 and then up and down between that price and 0.009 because of some manipulation and after the recent rise we had some new correction (big one) and it will continue being so until 0.03BTC, 0.05BTC and so on.
i am guessing rise from 0.01 to 0.02 with little to no stop then a correction back down then rise from there.
3505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Ether in unlimited supply? on: April 29, 2017, 05:50:23 AM
But this is clearly NOT what is happening.  Bitcoin's price is not rising because of the rising demand for it to buy stuff on the internet.

i don't know if you are joking or what but this is not 100% correct. bitcoin demand is rising, and this demand is in very different forms.
yes most of it is in form of traders accumulating bitcoin, knowing it is limited supply and price will rise and they want a big ass profit in a couple of years from now when price is five digits!
but a big part of it is also because many are seeing bitcoin as a decentralized cryptocurrency that nobody can control. they get a good level of privacy and reaching anonymity with bitcoin is also a possibility. so they use it also as a currency.

and this:
Quote
And very few people spend it as a currency.
is nothing more than your personal guess!
there is no easy way of proving this but we can see the different merchants that start accepting bitcoin every day, we can see the volume that is going in and out of a payment processor like bitpay (which has been growing with a fast speed each year by the way). we can also see countries like Japan adopting bitcoin as currency and other countries talking about it.

i will add the bitpay charts here if i can find any updated version of it for 2017.

EDIT:
and that is just Bitpay (a third party bitcoin payment processor working with a small portion of all bitcoin accepting services) and in 2016 their numbers have doubled and it continues growing processing 200,000+ transactions per month.
now consider all the other smaller and big services accepting bitcoin "directly". and this is the demand that i was talking about and it is growing.

Link in case it doesn't show up for some weird reason: https://i.imgur.com/MCVctOP.png

it is funny a year has passed and ether has still not made up its mind about its unlimited supply. LOL
3506  Economy / Speculation / Re: ask for invest in bitcoin on: April 28, 2017, 07:12:11 AM
Buy high, sell low.

So now is best time to buy.

for someone who wants to day-trade, yes you can say with about 60% certainty that this price is high, so it is best not to buy right now and wait for a dip or wait until you can increase your 40% certainty.

but for someone who plans on investing in bitcoin for long term and not to trade, then this price is super low.
and for someone who plans on using bitcoin as a currency, then this price or any other price doesn't even matter. (although OP seems to be more like a panic seller who is going to buy at $1320 then panics and sells at $1318 and buys back at $1325 and a couple more panics like this then he goes away, i hope i am wrong)
3507  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Chart Scanner for Alts and BTC on: April 28, 2017, 07:05:09 AM
Price is part of it yes, but more to do with indicators.
For example, I would like to scan for coins that have 10x volume compared to last period, have crossed above a 20 moving average and RSI is above 80.
This is just an example.
There are hundreds of software that do this for stocks but I cannot find anything that scans Cryptos

if you don't exactly want "chart" but results, then it shouldn't be a hard thing to do. because it would just be analysis of some data that you receive. the hard part is to implement a GUI that represents this as a chart with lines and analysis and everything.
for example you can take the OHLC data from poloniex and analyze it and come up with a coin that has gone up 10x volume in your desired period.

if you are not a programmer just pay someone to make something light for you.
3508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's wrong with all the green rise of altcoin today? on: April 28, 2017, 06:31:40 AM
We all knew that bitcoin broke the ATH of $1200 and its now $1300

Based on some philosophy people mentioned that when Btc raise, most of the alts drop

that "philosophy" has always been an speculation. and speculations can be wrong, they never work 100%, if they were working that way, those who speculated then would have been multi-millionaires in a day or so.
and when it comes to speculating about altcoin market which is fake and pump and dump, you can't be certain about anything. one day you see everything moving logically and make decisions based on that, the other day you see all logic is broken and things are moving in weird directions.
the only thing we can do is to hope for the best and catching the ride before it ends and getting off before it ends too.

I still can’t believe bitsler is doing this great. I mean they are not even 2 year old yet and they are running wild with all the people who came here to gamble.

It is amazing to see a website a “new” casino back than becoming so great and awesome and stealing marketshare from every other established place, they are growing steadily whereas some of the older ones are going away, I think we are seeing dawn of a new era in bitcoin gambling lead by bitsler.

if you know how to become successful in a business then you don't really need that much time to get there. obviously it takes time but a couple of months is more than enough to establish the business and become successful, then grow it from there.
3510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BitTorrent Cryptocurrency on: April 27, 2017, 06:51:48 AM
it is perfectly understandable to be honest Wink
there is a huge market with a lot of profit that is also easy to make. you just code and then premine, ICO, crowd-funding, or whatever else you want to call it and then release the code and people pay for it and you get rich.
although i am a bit disappointed to see someone like Cohen do this. i hope i am wrong about my assumptions.
3511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time to dump ETH? on: April 27, 2017, 06:33:18 AM
My 2 cents - ETH is a long game and it's worth staying in it

of course it is a game! but it is not worth staying in it when you can get out on top and then buy back when it dumped.
i got in last month around 0.015-0.018 and then started my dumping on 0.04 up to 0.05 and have been staying away ever since.
- if i see another dump i will surely get in.
- if i see them release another public fooling thing and start pumping it then i will get in
- if i see bitcoin price dip again and them start their FUD about replacing bitcoin then i will get in.
- but i won't get in while we are still seeing it overpriced!
3512  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [LTC] Litecoin Speculation on: April 27, 2017, 06:21:15 AM
this is not a 100% thing but in most cases the following is true:
in short term it all comes down to bitcoin price. specially when altcoins are being traded against both bitcoin and USD.
let me explain with an example:
lets say BTC is $1000 and ALT is $10 ie 0.01BTC
if bitcoin goes up to $1200 that ALT remains at $10 there is no reason for it to rise up in USD value so the BTC value goes down to 0.00833333BTC and since majority of users are trading in ALT/BTC market they only see that dump from 0.01 to 0.008 and the sell pressure and panic sell starts and price gets dumped more. down to 0.0075BTC=$9

(this is the reason for LTC's dip in the past 24 hours from 0.0125 to 0.0114. and also why pumpCoins like ETH and Dash are getting dumped hard whenever bitcoin rises, also the reason why they started pumping right by the time when bitcoin dipped below $1000).

in long term, there is still an ongoing accumulation phase going on with LTC and the dip was actually a good time to buy more coins. and SegWit with its 100% support will activate in the next period and we will be on our way up.
3513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Advice to newbies before investing into an Altcoin! on: April 27, 2017, 06:07:24 AM
this is a very good advice and i say it is even good enough to be stickied in the speculation board or something.

i have an additional though, which may be not so newbie friendly but good to keep in mind. and that is the fact that a coin dev being shit or not doesn't matter when it comes to making a short term profit from a pump. we all know most altcoins are pure pump and dump and it may be risky but figuring this out and finding the right time to get in (before the pump) can always lead to good amount of profit, and that is what we are all looking for.
so i say it all comes down to the market and traders. if they decide to pump a shitcoin they will and there is a lot of profit to be made.
3514  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Who's using gdax.com ? on: April 26, 2017, 06:56:00 AM
Hello everyone,
I like to use gdax.com for trading i need to know who using this website ?
Thank you

i am not using it myself but it belongs to the same company owning Coinbase. it is not the best place to trade but it is good enough if you are looking for a trusted place (not 100%) to trade bitcoin fiat and a couple of other altcoins.

.. Otherwise, why I would switch from Polo or Trex?
neither polo nor bittrex have fiat markets. they are all bitcoin versus altcoin markets.
3515  Economy / Speculation / Re: Speculation on the price of BTC if Bitfinex does a Gox on: April 26, 2017, 06:26:50 AM
Isn't USDT the exact same banks?  Can anyone confirm the ability or inability to get wires from tether?

even if it was possible, who in his right mind would want to do that! USDT price is currently -9% under $1 meaning it is worth $0.91.
and this is while you CAN withdraw bitcoin and sell it in another exchange.
3516  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What the hell is NANOX and why is it worth 229 BTC on: April 26, 2017, 06:18:00 AM
I don't know especifically about NANOX but I saw in many others coins in yolobit this kind of 0.00000001 orders and I investigate a little.

It's seems to me that bots trading it's not only allowed but in some way promoting their own bot(s) (they're selling 1 at a very cheap price, check in twitter) with two operational advantages: min. bid, for "humans" it's 10K satoshi and 1 fee for all the bunch of orders.
If you look at deep in the bot-trading page you understand how works all the thing and you realize that all this orders are without fees.
Or, better, the bot buy all 0.000001 quote, for example, until arrives a the value you set like down value and sell the same until the high value you set as top.
Probably, via API, they do the trick and only 1 fee (total order) it's considered.

IMHO, I'm not a super-expert of bots, but it seems that it's the yobit-bot-way-of-things.

it seems like you have never looked at any API documentation page ever and never used any bot for trading.
here let me help you a bit.
here is the link to the API doc page: https://yobit.net/en/api/
here is the order you need to execute:
Code:
URL: https://yobit.net/tapi/
Params: "pair=NANOX_BTC&type=sell&rate=200&amount=0.00000020&method=Trade&nonce=" + GetNonce();

and here is what the bot receives as an answer when you try to execute this order through API:
Code:
{"success":0,"error":"Total order amount is less than minimal amount: 0.00010000"}

Question about the rain on chat since there's a user so concerned about it. What is the highest amount you can get from rain/chatty ?

The best thing to get refs is just a link in your signature campaign here. I tried also some ad campaigns but you will get a lot of hits and refs but almost just faucet players.
How is that the best way of getting referrals if you're only getting faucet players. If you really want players who are willing to sign up under you and wager just start a wagering contest.

Edit : Sorry if I sounded mean at this reply but for me using the signature to gain referrals is not the best way that is all.

Signature is still one of the best ways to gain referrals, this forum is still the best place to find referrals for free compared to other place as it is a place where most people who are interested in bitcoin.
If it is not the best way, so what do you think is the best?

But do you think that people are going to use our signature in order to get to the site? Instead of that why they not go to the site directly? I have been thought this thing many times already but it seems most people use this kind of trick, "why should I give some money instead I lose it?" This is what I get most of them time, that is why it is really hard for me to get refs here

What do you think?

shall i post this again: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1868467.msg18581813#msg18581813

let me give an updated version for last week:
3518  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins price can be manipulate? on: April 25, 2017, 06:43:17 AM
Is it true, Altcoins price can be manipulate?
I see so many peoples in any Ann thread of altcoins ask for pump and dump. I just don't understand, is this how cryptocurrencies works? While forex trading market move by good news or bad news in around the world.
If Dev or big holders can easy manipulate the price of some altcoins, I think it's not interesting anymore.

well it is a fact that we live by and people either learn to take advantage of it or stay away because they think it is "immoral"!
in any case, pump and dumps and manipulations are happening in altcoin market and mostly because it is a very small market that you can easily manipulate and it is populated with lots of newbies who will easily give their money to you themselves without much effort on the manipulators part.
we can see a lot of topic of people even looking for scammers! topics like "where are the pump groups" Grin
3519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: PIVX speculatation + POLONIEX? on: April 25, 2017, 06:24:35 AM
pivx wont be added. too many people waiting for it. polo wants coin that no one expects it to be there, they buy huge bag themselves and wait for the pump then dump. that way they never need to exit scam as they are making huge profit by just dumping over and over with shitcoins

you can pump a coin that is worth 1 sat to 10000 sat no problem. but try pump a $2 coin to $10. the difficulty to pump is not the same.

they will add coins likewise to qora dgb or other craps below 100sats

that is a good point but i think there are more things at play that we are not aware of for the time being.
i agree about what you said, and why they add certain coins and not others but in the end even coins that they can not pump themselves can give them profit! if a coin for example has a large daily trading volume, then that is a lot of trading fees that they are simply missing out on, and we are talking about a decent daily amount of money not a small amount.
3520  Economy / Speculation / Re: Speculation on the price of BTC if Bitfinex does a Gox on: April 25, 2017, 06:17:11 AM
Is it possible that it's not insolvency but KYC/AML?   Bitfinex is having issues not because it's MT Gox but because it was just like the Chinese exchanges and especially the tether crypto which is literally the definition of money laundering.  The only exchanges allowed to be left standing are full KYC/AML exchanges.  The issue is the huge amount of daily money that needs to be put into BTC and all the other crypto just to maintain current price levels and if the only way that can be done is through full KYC/AML exchanges it's unlikely the price levels will be maintained.

That could be it. But you should remember that Bitfinex was hacked and had funds stolen that amounted to $65m. That is a very huge loss. So the issue that they might be insolvent should always be there and should not be avoided or ignored. MtGox was in an exact same position years ago. Roger Ver said they were solvent but they were really not. We know how that story ended.

Mt Gox was a tiny bit similar situation not at all the same. i have already said the differences and i am not going to repeat them again. but i would like to mention here that Btc-e has also been hacked back in 2012ish and lost a lot of money but they are still functional and working fine as before.
