3541  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will there be a war? on: April 16, 2021, 07:10:29 PM

The question arises about the likelihood of a direct military clash between the United States and Russia. I suppose it may well be. The fact is that hostilities will be conducted on the territory of a third party and, naturally, without the use of nuclear weapons, which will only happen if the war directly affects the territory of Russia or the countries of the NATO bloc. In principle, a clash between a NATO country and Russia has already taken place in Syria and Libya. Moreover, the Turks even shot down a Russian bomber that flew into Turkey (2), but there was no military response from Russia, everything ended with tomatoes and waving hands. By the way, Turkey can take part in the war along with America on the side of Ukraine.

I don't think a direct military confrontation between USA and Russia is very likely. Both countries are hurting a lot because of the pandemic and want to recover instead of hurting even more. There is no land border between USA and Russia, the only way there could be war would be to fight in Europe or Middle East. In Asia there is no chance that a large USA force could go on the continent. And in the Middle East it seems very unlikely that USA would move troops their again. So going heavily into Ukraine is an option but not very likely either. If there is war between Russia and Ukraine, I would assume for USA to just send equipment like planes and tanks instead of manpower.
3542  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you limit your gambling time? on: April 16, 2021, 06:51:44 PM
This is about how do you make sure that you are gambling in full control. There are many people who are easily brought into gambling beyond fun and that is a problem for them and also for the gambling industry, because it is for them that there are limitations in many countries.

Do you actually...
- Have a weekly budget to play and do not ever go over it?
- Not ever get in debt for gambling?
- Have an allocated time for gambling and never exceed it?
- Gamble only socially with friends of relatives?
- Have someone helping you control your gambling?

Yes, I gamble with an budget. I usually set aside between 50 and 100 bucks per month for gambling, and if I manage to win some money I increase my budget a little for the next month. Usually I cash out with cryptos half of my larger winnings and leave the rest as new bankroll. Sometimes I exceed my limit and then I use a little bit more from my bankroll, but I try to not use borrowed money for gambling. I once asked a friend for 100 Euros in an casino to play more Roulette, in the end I lost it all and felt quite bad for losing his money. So now I try to avoid to gamble with other peoples money. At the moment I only gamble online because the casinos are closed.
3543  Other / Off-topic / Re: What was your last movie / cartoon / TV series that you watched? on: April 16, 2021, 06:24:15 PM
Did you like what you saw and would you recommend it to others? Smiley

My last cartoon series I watched was Dota 2s Dragon's Blood. I wouldn't really recommend it, the story line was kind of nice but the drawings were not so good. For a series in 2021 I would expect more. Maybe they are going to step up the production for season 2 and will make better drawings. The anime series I watched before was One Punch Man - that was pretty cool and I would recommend to anybody.
3544  Economy / Economics / Re: Raising the stock market after Covid-19 on: April 16, 2021, 06:11:54 PM

I am wondering what other stocks have similar potential to keep my portfolio balanced. Thank you

I agree with you that stocks should be rising now since we are containing the pandemic this year. The companies with the biggest outlook in my opinion are pharma companies that work with COVID 19. So far we still don't have medicines against the corona virus, if a pharma company would find a treatment against it there would be a lot of demand. Also the big pharma companies that are producing the vaccine right now are still attractive, I added them to my stock portfolio. Even though they produced quite a lot of vaccines already it is not nearly enough for the whole world. We need so many more vaccines this year and next year.
3545  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Dogecoin a real coin? on: April 16, 2021, 05:56:14 PM
Hello,
Is Dogecoin a real coin and have a good potential or just pumped because Elon Musk tweets? I mean is that Dogecoin has a good technology and active development... or is a fake coin!!!

Thank you.

Dogecoin is a real coin. It has been around for years and definitely will be around for the future. It might not be as popular as BTC or ETH but still there are plenty of investors. If you look at the dogecoin price you see that there was already higher trading before the Elon Musk tweet, this is due to a higher interest from reddit users. If you already own coins I would keep them and if you want to buy some, I would keep an close eye on the price and buy when the price drops a bit.
3546  Other / Off-topic / Re: HOW TO STAY COMMITTED TO YOUR GOALS on: April 16, 2021, 04:28:56 PM
Another good point that helped me to stay committed to my goals is visualisation and repetition. I like to make small post it notes with my goals and put them on the mirror in the bath room and on my monitor. So every morning directly after standing up and on the evening before going to bed I see the goals. It's a good reminder on why I stand up so early.
3547  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin wasn’t created to make you rich. It was created to make you free on: April 16, 2021, 04:22:32 PM
I hate that I cannot save money effectively because our government loves to inflate problems away at the expense of my savings... bitcoin and altcoins are our greatest hope in returning power back to working middle-class people.

your thoughts?
I agree with you. With Bitcoin, we are free to send money anywhere and to anyone without intermediaries (peer to peer). Besides, using bitcoin to pay household bills is very practical and easy. But the practice now is, someone who buys bitcoin today hopes to get rich. they buy bitcoins because of their volatile value. they think that the volatility of bitcoin can provide quick profits.

Bitcoin's offer is freedom that we don't have with Fiat currencies. We are all grateful here to have a tool to save money with outside of the reach of governments and central banks. While in terms of crypto currencies we might not be rich, we still will get rich in terms of fiat currencies. As long as countries are constantly issuing debt and print money, their currencies will drop in value. So if we eventually convert back to fiat or maybe buy directly with bitcoins we can get rich.
3548  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the best Sport to bet on ? on: April 16, 2021, 04:14:27 PM
I am just kind of curious if anyone has done any research of has any opinions on which sport they think is the best sport to gamble.  I guess I'm looking for both opinions and hard data.

Personally I bet on NFL Football the most, followed by the NBA, MLB, College Basketball and every once in a while I'll bet on a big Soccer ( football for you Euros ) game like the Classico.  For me, Football by far seems to be the easiest sport to bet on.  Baseball and Basketball are too random and their betting lines tend to be a bit more confusing.  With the NFL only having 16 games vs MLB with 162 and the NBA with 82..It seems like there is much less of a chance for an upset or sloppy game vs the other two where the regular season simply doesn't mean nearly enough.

Just curious what you guys think..

I think you should be betting on the sports you know the most about. To be profitable with sports betting we need to stay up to date on the league, possible transfers and injuries of good players. For me this sport is football. I like to watch the games and played it myself in the past. So staying up to date on my home team comes naturally to me. If I don't know much about a sport I wouldn't bet on it.
3549  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What age bracket is perfect for gambling on: April 16, 2021, 12:50:02 PM
I think it depends upon the environment/upbringing of the person and his tenacity to play around with a highly speculative game. I've known some kids here in our country (Philippines) as young as 12-13 years old to gamble against adults, especially those who were born in the slum areas. They are usually children of gamblers as well, and they learn at an early age how to play against the psychology of an adult in a game in order to earn a bit of cash.

12-13 years of are is very young to start gambling in my opinion. In my country you need to be atleast 18. I remember when being 16 that I really wanted to go a casino, but even with my parents it wasn't possible. The only thing I could do was play scratch cards at home. With hindsight it was probably good that I couldn't go gambling because the risk of getting addicted is much higher in younger ages. If the young gamblers where supervised by their experienced parents than it might be okay.
3550  Other / Off-topic / Re: USA and USA dollar is out of the dominance game its over Now on: April 16, 2021, 12:33:52 PM
So What's Next?
The USA dollar is Not used by imf instead of usd They issue loans with their own currency.
So how the USA will Take that?
What the USA will do Now?
Will we we just watch how this nice beatuful Country is Going to fall?

Or What's Going on with USA Now?
Will They surrender?  Or They fight back?
Will They change USA dollar just into digital dollar as usdc or USDT?

So What's Going on?

It is hard to say what is going to happen to in the future. I thought that the international pressure on USA would be less once Biden comes into office. Generally the world thinks that the Democrats are more positive towards free trade and opening up USA to the rest of the world. We know for some years now that China is trying to move towards a global currency. But is this really possible at the moment? For the USD era to be over we need something new. And right now it doesn't look like that the Euro, Ruble or Yuan could take that place.
3551  Economy / Economics / Re: Out of Reach on: April 16, 2021, 12:26:40 PM
Small investors such as myself find it hard to purchase bitcoin during a bull market. Yes, everyone here aspires to acquire atleast 1 bitcoin. It was attainable then since the price is only at a thousand dollars, but with the current price which is at 50k atleast, acquiring 1 bitcoin will be difficult, especially for those that are not so wealthy. However, those that have HODL bitcoin from the very start, those of which who have purchased it at a low price will definitely gain more than what they have given.

Must it be at least 1 Bitcoin? I believe everyone should start removing that kind of mentality, and begin counting their coins in the smallest possible denomination. In Satoshis, or Bits.

With a Bitcoin price above 60,000 USD it seems nearly impossible for a beginner in the crypto world to go directly for 1 BTC. Its just too much money. Even if you had such kind of funds available right now I wouldn't recommend to put it all in Bitcoins. The risk of owning only one crypto coin is quite high with these prices. In my opinion it would be better to split your funds among 4-6 different crypto coins, with only 50% put into Bitcoins. As a long term goal owning 1 BTC is still a viable in my opinion.
3552  Other / Off-topic / Re: IMPORTANCE OF VACATION on: April 16, 2021, 11:40:53 AM
I know Due to Expenses that involves in Vacation people don't really fancy Vacation, But it's very important for everyone to go on Vacation once a while, You take a leave from work go somewhere far away from Home have some quality time with that environment, After Retirement you go for a vacation to enjoy yourself, few of the importance is you are relief from stress, you don't have to do any work for yourself, just eat and have some adventures, make more friends,Do things you haven't done before, Go places you haven't seen before. Tell me more importance you know.

I agree, Vacations are very important. Unfortunately it is not possible in my country at the moment. We are still under lockdown and no travelling is possible. Personally I haven't been on a vacation for more than a year. Saving the money is alright, but I really would love to see something else, enjoy different climate and different air. Even just one week would make me happy, two would be best of course.
3553  Other / Off-topic / Re: LIFE on: April 15, 2021, 03:36:50 PM
Life! What do you understand by life, people say live life
We got only one life to live, have you asked yourself what's my purpose in this life, what am I to  achieve in life, people  live a I don't care life, they joke with everything, they are never serious with their life,so today what am saying in a nutshell we should live a life knowing that people are watching you, somebody out there wants to be like you,
You  must not be a celebrity to live a careful live or must you be a pastor to live a good life, your life today should be impactfu to others, people around you should fell your appearance and disappearance, that's a fulfill Life.

I believe that everybody needs to decide for himself what goals in life he has. Some people want to get rich, some want to have a family and others want to help other people in need. Nobody can decide that for us and only if we have these goals we can live life to the fullest. Without knowing what we want in life we will just stand still. It's all about leaving a footprint on life.
3554  Economy / Economics / Re: Can the government hijack Bitcoin? on: April 15, 2021, 03:07:05 PM
Bitcoin is known as to be the biggest cryptocurrency. in some countries it can be used to purchase goods and services and some see cryptocurrency as a threat.

if Bitcoin comes to be number one currency in the world today, can it  be hijack by the government?

I don't think they can hijack your bitcoins. What they can do is prohibit bitcoins in a country and make all trading illegal. But even then they are still your coins and you might just need to sell them ASAP. For the government to take over the coins they would need to take over the ownership of all wallets, which seems impossible. Another way could be to make very high crypto taxes to take away your profits. But then you could just hold and not sell.
3555  Other / Off-topic / Re: Online game addiction on: April 15, 2021, 03:03:40 PM
I have a younger brother aged 15.In this covid case, schools and colleges are closed and he is staying at home. He used to play online games like free fire, pubg etc.But now he is addicted to free free fire.He is watching and playing garena free fire all the day and night. He don’t do any other thing even sometimes he forgets to eat.I am very worried about him.Would you mind suggesting me how can I turn him back to normal life?

It is good that you notice the change in his gambling habit. You are his older brother and need to take care of him. With 15 he is too young yo control his life alone. How about you make clear boundaries for him? Like he is only allowed to play one hour per day after finishing all his work? There needs to be a chance to have regular day with a little bit of gambling.
3556  Other / Politics & Society / Re: #SuperStraight on: April 15, 2021, 02:59:49 PM
telling me to become a gay person

That's not really how this works. If a TV show can make you gay I'm gonna guess that you were never straight to begin with.

Yeah that is probably the case. I don't think you can become gay from watching TV, you must have such feelings before. Nothing wrong with that. But I am definitely super straight and there shouldn't be anything wrong with it either. To be honest I don't mind if some feminist get angry about it, it's kind of funny, because I need to keep up with all their nonsense as well.
3557  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling firms helping Government and people during quarantine, literally. on: April 15, 2021, 02:54:53 PM
Why? because there are so many casinos that closed while the pandemic is attacking so how can they help the government when they are not gaining anything ?
best if they are been allowed to operate so at least percentage of their income will be in Aid for the pandemic victims.
^ Not all gambling casino was closed during the pandemic, in my country, when the result of infective was dropped down or in curve line. Many gambling casinos started their operations but they only allowed to operate half of the percentage as a normal one. They also reduce their staff just to survive and you know what? that was a big help that can contribute to the country that can recover from the financial problem and also can aid the pandemic victims. Nevertheless, the revenue that they generate can not sustain overall but at least can contribute.

Oh that's very nice, in my country all the casinos are still closed. I wish they would open up again, I mean people can wear masks, there can be plastic barriers and they could even ask for a negative corona test before entering. Like you said letting casinos open up again can have a lot positive effects for a country. There are going go be more tax revenues and will be more relaxed. Online gambling is fun but there is nothing that can beat visiting actual casinos with their awesome flair.
3558  Economy / Economics / Re: Bernard Madoff dies in prison. A 20 year long Ponzi on: April 15, 2021, 02:40:45 PM
Rip Bernie

You can say what you want about Bernie Madoff but keeping up such a massive ponzi scheme for 20 years takes a lot of guts. I am sure not everybody could have done it. And since he targeted a lot of rich people I don't feel so bad about it. They got blinded by the returns and let their guard down. He most have been a very charismatic guy. All the best to his family.
3559  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Altcoin to invest on: April 15, 2021, 02:36:01 PM
I choose Altcoin Poolz for trading in the short term if for the long term I hold Ethereum because I believe the Ethereum Coin is the right coin to hold in the long term.

I agree with you, the best long term outlook in the alt coin market right now is ETH. The popularity of ETH is increasing every month. We will see a lot of new investors in the near future. But because of the high fees I would hold ETH and not trade too much. If you look for short term trading profits there are better coins for that.
3560  Other / Off-topic / Re: Can you really earn from just watching adds? help I want to earn ..... on: April 15, 2021, 02:31:56 PM
I tried this in the past and it never worked for me. There are websites that offer you money for installing an ad bar on your pc. So whenever your pc is running you can watch the ads. The problem I faced is that either my watch time wasn't properly recorded, I watched way more ads than the website credited me and another problem is that minium requirements to withdraw kept going up. So even after 4 weeks of doing it I couldn't withdraw anything. Just a waste of time for me.
