So , this was the first true nation coin that copied the current economy.

50k coin are gone and nobody knows where , just like the billions of euros Greeks don't have a clue where they went.

I wonder how this thread would have evolved if it wasn't opened in the alt coins section where all the little "devs" are defending their shit coins and where people who are really interested in real crypto development rarely enter.

Have you changed your coin name to peercoin ? Cuz...

5    Peercoin  , this coin is on nr 5 on Coinmarketcap.

3564  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn up to 2.4 BTC/Month by Posting on: March 21, 2014, 05:36:51 PM
The way I see it is that 0.1 mBTC is just too small of a sum to be worthwhile, and you might as well go for the 0.6 mBTC signature campaign if there is any likelihood of RGC paying out. RGC already owes me 0.07 BTC (lol)  Grin

Plus it's only 10 days of wasted signature space if it turns out to be a scam.

That's just my opinion.  Smiley

That is true, if I would have to post 30 days to see if it is scam I wouldn't use it, but 10 days for possibility to 0.0006BTC is good deal Smiley

I'm in the same boat.  If it's too good to be true, it's only 10 days wasted on RGC for a possible bigger payout.

If it's bunk, then back I go to PD and his guaranteed payouts.

But then what happens if he pays out for those ten days, but not the next month? Cheesy That's always the biggest risk and it's a gamble I don't think you have to take with Stunna. This fucker better pay out though as it's in all our interests haha.

Lets say I make 10 post per day, 10 days = 100 post, 1 month 300 posts
So if he pays me now 100x0.0006BTC I get 0.06BTC and then I go to next month even if he scams me at that new month I get more money because full month with Sunna would pay me only 0.03BTC Smiley

You see the problem? The big if ! If he doesn't pay you this month , it is a wasted effort.

ONLY GOD CAN SAVE US

Thanks for the cheap coins everyone Wink

Thank you for buying them at twice what they will be tomorrow.
3567  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Operation Shitcoin Cleanout and Clean Up Has Begun- Join the Revolution on: March 20, 2014, 12:21:31 PM
I was wondering while reading this thread , why don't we fight fire with fire. Shitcoins with shitcoins.

Let's assume a "dev" creates Egyptcoin tomorrow that is actually a copy of litecoin and there is no distribution plan only a huge premine.

It's illegal or it is against the rules that we launch:
Pyramidcoin , Egicoin, Egyptiancoin, Egycoin - same day? the same code? the same airdrop plan?

If the coin is truly new interesting and it brings something new to the crypto world a clone won't be able to hurt it. Just like altcoins aren't capable of hurting bitcoin.

If it's a clone , the clones will kill it.

We don't need hashpower , mining pools , etc. We do the same copy paste they do.

Not surprised to find you here among these people

Not surprised to find you here among the other people.

Got any argument against this:

You wanna' add Bitcoin itself to your shitcoin list?

1. Lost half it's value since November 2013.
2. Promises from old timers that "I'll go back up, don't worry".
3. Small pumps but hasn't retraced losses.
4. Biggest exchange goes tits up, looks like massive fraud and incompetence.

supposing you're right about these points.  these 4 points still don't fit the criteria of 'shitcoin'.

1. bitcoin is older than 8 months.
2. bitcoin was the innovator.
3. bitcoin was not an IPO.
4. bitcoin was not premined greater than 1%
5. bitcoin developers actually know what the fuck they're doing, and how it works.
6. bitcoin clearly has backers with intention to develop bitcoin further.

This thread discusses coins that fall into those categories, not just coins you personally don't have a large stake in.

But here's one thing you must understand: You can't put the Jennie back in the bottle. You can't go back to the "good old days of BitCoin".
nobody's talking about jennie, or her bottle.  and we don't have to go back, these ARE the 'good old days of BitCoin".  enjoy it while it lasts.

More and more people will be calling bitcoin a shit coin if it keeps plunging down in price.

Another thing, the blockchains going to be too big to download when it hits 1 TB. When it hits a petabyte it will be too big to fit on a hard drive!

1) You don't need to download the whole blockchain to use bitcoins . there are clients that don't require this.
2) The blockchain is currently growing at the same rate hdd disks are Smiley
3) There are enough projects on how to compress the blockchain if ever needed.

Broken news Smiley

Yeah , broken hews from a broken user.
I wonder why does he continue with those stories and his posts. I doubt there are people actually reading his links.
3571  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SPA] SpainCoin: freedom for Spain, LAUNCHED! on: March 19, 2014, 12:03:52 PM
I think it could reach the half maximum of auroracoin because of the double amount of coins.

So 50$ per spain is not impossible  Smiley

Number of coins has nothing to do with it.
BTC/LTC  > 1/4  coins
Why don't you invest in ltc , they should be around 150 now Smiley

Spain coin , at least in theory should go xtimes the price of AUR.
3572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SPA] SpainCoin: freedom for Spain, LAUNCHED! on: March 19, 2014, 11:51:54 AM
from http://blog.spaincoin.org/spaincoin-distribution/

"The ID card has a chip that’s even capable of digital signing, that’s how the ID can be automatically verified. They insert the card in a reader and identify themselves to the website or application in question."

Assuming your Spanish...
Can anyone create a website or an application that requires and verifies the id card?
Or do you need authorization for personal data collection as in my country.

An authorization that is one damn hard thing to get and almost impossible when we talk about financial stuff unless your a bank .
3573  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SPA] SpainCoin: freedom for Spain, LAUNCHED! on: March 19, 2014, 11:48:10 AM
thats about the worst advice ever. doge is stable and has been and will be here long after this scam coin. go ahead put it all on spain. fuck doge. that way i can laugh my ass off at the stupidity flowing through this forum.

What makes people think doge is going anywhere? Theres more than 61 Billion doge coins.

Yes, dogecoin is awesome. Yes, dogecoin has an awesome community, yes dogecoin has a high marketcap (relative to other coins)
I bailed ship when the following happened because from a simple economic perspective, dogecoin does not have the economical potental to succeed
- 100 billion coins with no set cap (endless amounts of dogecoins are created forever) biggest red flag
- rejecting the $500,000 offer was a crucial mistake which could have gotten dogecoin on track to possibly becoming an altcoin of actual value,

However, that being said this is about SPA.
SPA is heavily dependent on AUR if you have no noticed. The outcome of AUR will effect SPA since they essentially propose the same things.
I'm confident that SPA should be able to reach (at the absolute lowest) 0.005 and I would cap it at 0.025 (peak).
So many of you fail to realize that the PnD only resulted in those who already have alot of BTC, in getting even more SPA at insanely low prices (me being one of them).
So continue to support SPA and stop handing out free SPA to whales. Just a suggestion.

i dont know bro i have 4 million doge that is worth a whole lot more than the majority of these shitcoins so

Dogecoin is definitely better than alot of altcoins out there. I never said it wasn't.
If you compare it to coins like LTC, BTC. Dogecoin has no chance.
Only if you compare it to things like FLAP which I'm not even going to bother entertaining.

The coin itself is no way better than any coins. Any existing coin can replicate doge with a hardfork.
Even bitcoin is no different. Actually is far worse than most coins considering the code.
What you're trying to say it's that the community behind dogecoin is far better that others. But that is it's weak spot also.

Doge gained all based on a meme on a hype. That can die down just as easily and leave... nothing.

I don't like the idea of nation coins.
Simple as that. I see them failing one after the other. I am even willing to make a bet on it. How about something long term?

It doesn't mean that I didn't hold and then sold a few coin myself.
But right now, the situation is f*** up. And even the biggest fan would have to be an idiot not to see it.

Nation coins popping everywhere , no actual plan for delivery , peopel stuck with coins they bough at 10x times the price , bitcoin tanking...

This is the reality , but as I said it times after times

People blinded by greed can't hear the voice of reason anymore.

Ok, you don't like Nation coins! Tell me then, just to mention a few of the whole sea of coins out there. Why is Dogecoin, Blackcoin, Mintcoin, Devcoin, Quarkcoin, Worldcoin or Vertcoin any better than Nationcoins?

They all brought exposure to cryptocurrencies and seems to me Nation coins are no different. As a matter of fact I do believe they can awake even more people's attention towards the crypto/digital currency option. We are still in the infancy of this industry and if Nation coins should they go through with what is plan they can be very beneficial to the crypto adoption!!!

You listed a few coins I like and hold and a few I think are pure s****.
So the question is quite tricky.

Sincerely , why I don't like nation coins :

It's highly unlike a nation will adopt a coin. Why should they? Just because they are given 50%?  In two years it is possible that 80% of the coins are held by colombians. That would be weird , right?

There are no real plans what to do afterwards... they all take the infrastructure for granted. Just look how hard is for bitcoin to get accepted and even if it gets , after that the other coins get a slam of the door.

Plus , I have the feeling that the dev won't distribute all the coins. There is no actual mean of verifying this. Or to verify they haven't distributed the coins to 1000 account owned by them

There is so much doubt in all of these I can't get myself to use nation coins for other than 1 day buy second day dump and i'm not crazy enough to try it once more.
3576  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SPA] SpainCoin: freedom for Spain, LAUNCHED! on: March 18, 2014, 11:28:22 AM
I agree with those point. However I don't see the issues being fixed that soon.
As for the last it takes a lot of man power to actually do the checking  without a public id database.
I think you haven't understood how it will be done. It won't be manual labour (and no there isn't a public database). The ID card has a chip that's even capable of digital signing, that's how the id can be automatically verified. They insert the card in a reader and identify themselves to the website or application in question. It's been explained already, and it's on the website's FAQ.
There is no paperwork involved on our part

Is the type of card mandatory for every citizen in Spain ? There were users (from Spain) who claimed that not all Spaniards have one.
Is is free or legal , and can everybody have access to the verification mechanism?

Almost 80ºC Huh How the hell do you cool your rigs? Or do you even cool them at all? That's insanely high!

I think these nation coins have a great deal of potential if executed right. Have my eyes on one that's very successful doing the distribution. PM me for details if you want. I won't disclose it here.

Spaincoin needs to change a few things, IDs alone won't work, I'm afraid. Devs, however, seem to be surprisingly committed to the project, which is good.

I agree with those point. However I don't see the issues being fixed that soon.

I hate to say it but mint does seem to be doomed now.

Just how many times was it doomed and it died in the past. ?
This coin won't go down that easy. At least I hope so Smiley

Everytime Mitcoin "dies" i make money Wink get it?

This is one coin I've never played on the trades. Just buy and HODL.
To be honest i've missed a few good opportunities and after that I thought that i will run into a trap for sure , so , it's buy and hodl for me.
