2641  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Crimea on: April 18, 2014, 12:43:30 PM
So just because they were neglected by centuries by the Russian rulers you want them out of their lands?
That doesn't sound like the federation everybody is dreaming off , more like the ones some of us have nightmares about it . )

Tatars are Turks and they are not an European ethnic group. During a recent poll, a majority of them wanted Crimea to merge with Turkey. None of these people do any economic activity and the crime rate is extremely high in regions where they live. Either Turkey should taken then back, or the US should grant them refugee status and take them to the North America.

It doesn't matter. Crimea it's their home and they have lived long enough.
Should Italians throw out half of Europe's population?

I would love to see some minority , you know which flown back to India , but that is not possible and seriously thinking... it's not fair.
If I were in power I would think of a solution for that but I wouldn't propose deportation no matter how much i'm pissed at them.
2642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.6 HARDFORK MANDATORY UPDATE on: April 18, 2014, 12:25:49 PM
So many coins have multipool, can we also make a multipool to mine other coin to exchange BTC, and then buy dogecoin actively?

Is it a good idea?

Most of the coins going for multipools are pos coins that can't be mined anymore.
Doge is still a profitable coin to be mined directly so it wouldn't make too much sens to start mining xcoin sell xcoin for btc and then buy doge while the blackpool does the same with doge.

It's better to mine doge directly so that other multipools have a smaller share and less to dump.
2643  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Qora | IPO | Escrow | 100% POS | New Source | Beta Available on: April 18, 2014, 12:21:34 PM
What a crazy day. Scamcoin turned out to be a good coin, good coin turned out to be a scam. To bad I didn't invest in qora when I got a chance. Will be watching though.

Which is which?
Cause damn , there are so many new coins popping out of the blue and a lot of nxt clones lately with or without escrow ipos that i can't follow them anymore.
2644  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Wallets Stolen By Hackers][We're Sorry][Contact Anon136 For Escrow] on: April 18, 2014, 12:16:29 PM
anon136

IS AN ACCOMPLICE !!!!

The FBI should be looking at him/her also

If s/he knows who and where dinEDG and the Edgecoin people are, s/he needs to give up that info.

anon136  !! TELL US WHO THEY ARE !!

Sorry but you are an idiot.
Just this statement that anon136 is a accomplice to this petty scam is insane.
2645  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MZC][SHA-256] MAZACOIN *First Sovereign Currency* ANDROID WALLET AVAIL.!! on: April 18, 2014, 12:11:06 PM
Mazapump has started, as ANN yesterday. I hope you were able to add some cheap coins....

Enjoy it  Grin already 100% Cheesy

Unconfirmed target price of 400sats  Shocked  Shocked  Shocked

Half way Cheesy, already a nice pump from 60 to 200.

60 was the lowest of the lowest and I doubt too many managed to get coins at that price in the last 3 days.
But an almost 100 gain it's nice. I wonder if it's time to cashout and be happy with it.

Or should I join the madness myself?

2646  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 18, 2014, 12:08:40 PM
Just woke up, why it went down again?  Roll Eyes

Because the Chinese obviously are banning litecoin Smiley
I know that in December 7 or so coins were mentioned in a Chinese news but this years , did those statements mentioned any other coin other than bitcoin?
2647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUR][MANDATORY UPDATE] Auroracoin - a cryptocurrency for Iceland on: April 17, 2014, 09:37:04 PM
I think Niothor get's it very well Bohemian, so far he has been critical, but never irrationally negative. And it's true that the coin had a way to high exchange rate when it hit $ 90, but that only lasted one hour. For short term speculants this might have been a nasty meal, but that is not the way I see it. Apart from the fact I traded well on this, I also back the coin's initiative long term for the opportunity it grants.

I don't care if it stays around $1 for a long time, it will in the end become clear to the greater public that this coin hold enormous value in terms of acceptance and adoption. This is what will make Auroracoin one of the most successful coins in the history of Crypto. Eventually it will serve long term bag holders well!

Oh LTEX I just love this....
The people having a fee AUR are mad at me and calling me troll and others while you , in your position , are seeing what's really behind my posts.

Really , we should have met on a different project , and maybe , before coins started to be 95% trade and 5% what is really important.

Back to the topic :

Does anyone have some statistics about nr of transactions per day?

Answering my own question:
http://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/transactions-aur.html

I can't see any real increase in transactions after the airdrop.
And remember that out of those 800 , 200 are block rewards.
2648  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Wallets Stolen By Hackers][We're Sorry][Contact Anon136 For Escrow] on: April 17, 2014, 09:25:21 PM
this crap is hurting them all so in a way everyone is losing money because of these scams.

All the greedy band wagon jumper ons deserve this.

Crypto is full of fibbers, opportunists and the dregs who know nothing about the scene or ideals and care about nothing beside turning a fast buck.

There'll be another 4 or 5 "BTC giveaways" like this before the year is out. It's good for all real crypto lovers.

To all the dregs, whine more, loudly, BCT may consider removing ALTs again, lol Grin

Congratulations to this dastardly duo.

Long live BHW.

BCT shouldn't* remove ALTs. There are many successful coins lik NXT, MSC, XCP and ofcourse XCPs. Just some crooks cheating the community, doesn't mean they should remove ALT section. There is a link in the ALT section on how to invest safely. If people don't follow those guidelines like using escrow, seeking more info, whitepaper, then they are too greedy to lose their BTCs

I wasn't suggesting for a minute that they should  Cool With you 100%

Maybe they can make trusted escrows compulsory for IPOs like how companies issue shares. Rate the escrows.

The mods and even the admin have stated clearly...
The alt section will be moderated very lightly and most on demand.

There will be no requirement to open threads , launch coins , offer something to sell.

So , there will be no compulsory escrow.

2649  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | on exchanges | PoS | No premine on: April 17, 2014, 09:23:13 PM
BC seems to be stuck at 34k.

some stability is actually very good

Stability , you're talking about stability just because the coin had the same price for a few hours?

When I will see some real stability in alts , I will be out of here , as there is no more money to be made Smiley.

what I mean by that is not huge dumps like we saw happening

Let's call this a coffee break from the traders.
Just some news or some big player waking up and a hell of a storm will start again.

I'm wondering how many people are silently watching mintpal .

It will be stability in Blackcoin terms if it remains there for a couple of days. We should be praying that happens because every time we've had that stability, it means the profit takers from the previous pump are finished dumping and the next upswing occurs.  Cheesy

I'm almost willing to bet that we won't see stability for 24 hours , not even speaking of few days .

Would be interested but just not ready to take a risk, as I lost some money from edgecoin. Lets hope I get reimbursed or compensated or something.

We are not taking any BTC from you for the help. We will just send you as many BCC as we can to compensate if the majority agrees to it.

Edit: We would also like to keep this thread related to BCC. Please post anything related to Edgecoin at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=575001.msg6270855#msg6270855

This is indeed a nice gesture. To be honest I don't trust your coin that much but if indeed you keep your word it would be great for some poeple that lost money.

Otherwise... let's not even talk about it.

Thanks! With time you will know we are honest Smiley

Sorry to disappoint you , but it will take a lot , and I mean a lot of time to believe somebody is honest.

I don't know how long you have been on this forum but people you have known and had a lot of info about them turned not to be honest...let's not even name them again.

So , it will take a miracle to vouch for a person on this thread. I can only think of two or three persons I would really trust on this board.

Anyhow , good luck with your project!

Houbi is now accepting 3rd party deposits just announced on their site.

http://www.huobi.com/news/index.php?a=show_notice&id=323&lang=en

that's funny, Chinese love manipulation..... it is about time that PBOC release a new statement to clear all the FUD and explain once again and clearly their position about Bitcoin and give a strict guidance to prevent manipulation...

Glad you said new , because they have already issued this statement three times or more but seems like people just don't want to listen

It's like the food. You have one statement then a couple of hours later, you want another.

Love that analogy ... but.
You really want to eat the same stuff over and over again? . How about something new?
Something lighter... that could take us to the moon Wink
2653  Economy / Speculation / Re: Automated posting on: April 17, 2014, 09:03:53 PM

Smiley price is going up Smiley at last for at least a bit.
$5xx look much better than $4xx.

And it is making me more optimistic about nearest hours.

Unless you are a permabear , I really don't have a clue why somebody would say the opposite.
Oh , people who forgot to HODL. ?
2654  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin sCrypt | new Client v1.2 | NOW ON MINTPAL! on: April 17, 2014, 09:01:32 PM
just waiting for the new client release and the hard fork update  Smiley

I really think we're going to wait for a few.... or more.
Bad feeling about the future of this but i do hope it's just a feeling.
2655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Wallets Stolen By Hackers][We're Sorry][Contact Anon136 For Escrow] on: April 17, 2014, 08:59:07 PM
My most sincere apologies to those who this guy took advantage of. Is there a way to verify the identity of all the investors? If so, we should do a fundraiser coin for them. I know it's been done before but...

Real Edge Coin?

Verify the identity of the investors?
Most of the people here are trying to hide themselves , before the newbie wave it was like 66% tor users.

Also I doubt that somebody who lost 100 or 200$ will send some ids to another stranger just to take part in another project.

block halving, now there mining is 2048 per block Smiley

Just look how things , unfortunately , are Not , progressing.
We will have lots of chances to buy low.

I knew it, this guy promised heaven on earth within a short time. Are people out of there mind?  Open beta that only newbies account have accessed to?  Sending spam pm soliciting for investment?  To those that invested directly, you are greedy and you deserved to lose your money.

Just as I said so many times , and then I got tired of posting and instead added to my profile.
Greed is what drives a man crazy and makes him do stupid things.
2660  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Real Time Socialist Train Wreck (again) Happening Now in Venezuela on: April 17, 2014, 08:31:08 PM
Well , I assumed , and maybe I did the wrong thing that leaving Venezuela isn't as hard as leaving Cuba.
Or maybe i'm just behind with the time and the news.

Hmm.... At least Venezuela is not an island. Well... Out of the three neighbors, two are outright hostile to Venezuela (Colombia, because of support to FARC, and Guyana, due to border disputes). The other option is Brazil, and most of the Venezuelan-Brazilian border is covered by the Amazonian rain-forest, with Indian reservations on both sides. Extremely dangerous.  Grin

Well , my question was about something else.
I had the impression that in Cuba you are forced to stay in your country , just like it happen in the eastern block between 89 when only a few of us got permission to leave.
I wondered if it's the same for Venezuela.
