Hidden whois, never a good sign. The company exist but it was incorporated 2 days ago... and only take bitcoin. All the signs of a scam are there but it's well done!

LOL! They stole KnC's design with 4 boards and same radiators, but with different coolers. And of course if they have the PCBs and the chip how come there is no real proof of a device mining? SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!
3582  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Technobit HEX8A1 - 6/8 chip Coincraft A1 board on: February 06, 2014, 05:53:35 AM
Pretty quiet about the power consumption...

So, as suspected, the new business plan is cloud hashing.  After the Neptunes all get delivered, there will be no more equipment deliveries from KNC.  They got sick of all the customer complaints, RMAs, shipping costs, etc.

Going forward, they will sell hashing power only.  They are building the data center regardless of Plan A or Plan B.  The only questions is, where the hashing power/coins will be directed.

Once it is built and all of the Jupiters are hashing, they will either direct the hashing power to Neptune customers (Plan B) or start selling it (Plan A).

What worries me is that they said they will mine to your wallet rather than to your chosen pool.  What this really means is that KNC will be mining and collecting/stockpiling Bitcoins and then paying out the calculated number of Bitcoins to your wallet.  This means low variance since you get the number of coins calculated by the hash power/difficulty but it also means centralization since you can't move the hashing power elsewhere to balance the network.

As i have stated in burnin's thread I do understand getting sick of customer complaints, but i don't understand why can't they sell to some select customers?

What if Neptune Batch 1 customers get their 3Th/s before the Neptune comes out and until the moment of actual shipping? That would kick ass!

Looks like CEX.io and ghash.io have some competition.

They are all in on all fronts!

Ok so KnC just turned from white to grey for me. While i don't care so much about the Neptune delay, what i care is that they are building a big datacenter in order to cover all Neptune Batch 1 customers in case of delay. That means at least 3Th/s * 1200 units=3600 Th/s just for them (yes they will hash for Batch 1 customers but only in case of a delay and just for a limited amount of time). That 3600Th is more than the promissed 5% (maybe it will be 5% after they ship the Neptunes, but until then it's just greed).

Instead of selling 1-2 Jupiters to previous customers they go their own way and keep all Jupiters for them. Avalon did it, Bitfury did it, BFL did it. The dark side is too powerful in the Bitcoin world.

I think they'll start selling hash rate once they're done with shipping/hosting Neptunes

I think they can get more $ per GH now from loyal customers than after they are done shipping Neptunes, unless they go Bitfury style with way overpriced plans/miners to catch some suckers in.

What i don't understand is why make a big datacenter now with Jupiters when you can set things up and do it with Neptunes with lower power consumption than Jupiters unless they plan to sell them after they have Neptunes in hands.

Total Hashrate now is ~2100Th and ken wants to deploy 1300Th in May that will consume a staggering 1700 MW? Now this is one hell of optimistic projection.

How will he get/cool 1700MW? How many chips are needed for 1300Th? And only 1.3 mil $ for more than 50% of current network? How come nobody else noticed these points?
3587  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: CoinTerra Update: Engineering and Production status on: January 31, 2014, 03:04:30 PM
i completely agree with you, antminer is for people who want to buy something thats obsolete quickly and uses too much power, and takes up a too much space, and will require more hassle and wiring up power supplies, and is dangerous if used in a home environment because its not certified or approved for use.  ant miner is for hobbyists who don't mind having bare boards exposed, and power supply wires dangling.

This is why I love reading this forum. You fanbois are quite humorous. 2100 watts, requires a extension cord from another circuit in another part of the house to be dragged across the floor to power the unit. Home use? LOL! I'll chose "obsolute" hardware that makes a profit over a pretty box that doesn't, any day of the week.

One small note. aerobatic isn't a simple fanboi, he is an ivestor.

Why you can not used it?

Got only 4 plugs controller board.
3589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: January 30, 2014, 02:01:06 PM
Boo i can't use the upgrade boards!
3590  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: January 30, 2014, 11:22:03 AM
how can i set my KnC to mine 50% on 2 pools?

I'm not sure but i will give it a try. I think you will need to manually start cgminer with 2 pools and at the end use the "--balance" command.
3591  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN]ASICMiner Publicly Looking for Potential Customers/Partners for New Chips on: January 29, 2014, 09:02:11 PM

What to expect with the chips
Datasheets and reference PCB design are going to be released as soon as they are ready.

What is the frequency of the chips in normal mode?
3592  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: TerraHash thread deleted? on: January 29, 2014, 05:07:03 PM
Well I moved it back here, you're right it doesn't belong in off topic.

Thank you!
3593  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: TerraHash thread deleted? on: January 29, 2014, 04:08:11 PM
Wasn't deleted, it was renamed and moved to off topic/locked, by the OP.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=198489.0

So the OP can move/rename his thread to any subtopic at any time? What's the logic behind this?

This doesn't sound fair at all. For me his move means that he is trying to hide/wipe his scamming trails. I understand that this forum has a "caveat emptor" mindset, but this makes me think that scammers/scumbags have more tools for their bad intended moves than the average user has in order to defend himself. I wonder why there are so many that are pissed at this move. I didn't have any money invested in TH scam, but this is absurd for this community. I actually thought this is a better community than many others, but this makes me think otherwise.

Don't expect too much support from the forum on that regard. We have to take care of our own.

In this particular case i think that at least the name of the thread should be kept even if it's in offtopic. I don't even want to start a debate on that, but it's clearly NOT offtopic. It's actually offtopic regarding the offtopic subforum since it's custom hardware related. If i create a topic here named "how to paint" it is moved in a matter of hours to the offtopic, but it seems it's not the other way around. This is more than ignorance, it's clearly partaking the scammer. A new page is being written in the history of this forum. I wonder what will be the next one because we already know that "the show must go on"!

Congrats bro ;-)

Is this real? Grats!

CTS is legit.
Traced them finally...   http://www.cms.uk.com/   they are indeed a subsidiary, and in the same building, and same voice on recording, and one digit off on tele #  and My brother talked with Rebecca.  I still don't want one though.

Really? So we have only renders on site and only bitcoin payment and you say that they are legit? Are you drunk or high?
oh, but is was okay for KNC to have stick drawings...lol
here... since nobody seems to know how to use a computer...
on the UG.gov website...

So how many did you ordered?

Well it does further the funding, but the thing there is they bought the same 55nm gear we have.

5 mil $ for 1550GH/s? Is that a typo?

The board design looks interesting and likely is based on the strings design.

1550 GH/s for 5 mil$? WTF?
