It only doesn't make sense because not everyone has the same goals in this entire financial enterprise as you, just a blanket statement about buying and holding is projecting your own objectives onto people who may have entirely different objectives over completely different timeframes with a desire to be exposed to different amounts of risk.
Nicely written, but your words are meaningless. Please explain to me why one should choose the objective "I have an amount X of BTC now, I'm spending all of it and I will get an amount 0.7*X BTC in the future". And please do so by showing some numbers, like prawda did.

There is only one reason why buying mining hardware now could make sense: If you expect difficulty to NOT grow 20-30% every 2016 blocks. But seriously, who does believe that?

Your assumptions of always negative ROI in Bitcoin terms are completely false and superficial nonsense.

You're basically asking me to deliver a business model to you on a platter in order for my words not to be "meaningless", which is retarded.

Wow!

This: http://thegenesisblock.com/mining/a/391de737f5 will hold as long as difficulty keeps increasing the way it did the last months. It's all about difficulty, no "business model" in the world is going to change growth of difficulty, unless it contains buying up all ASIC hardware manufacturers. As some companies just start(ed) shipping, difficulty will grow for a long time before it saturates. By the time saturation is reached, current mining hardware is going to mine a few satoshis per day.

You're basically asking me to deliver a business model to you on a platter in order for my words not to be "meaningless", which is retarded.
No, I don't want that. I can think of some business models myself that could make buying mining hardware profitable (think cex), but that's way more complex than just buying the hardware, plugging it in and let it mine. And that's what 99% of people are doing.

It's really difficult to have a discussion if you don't tell us your arguments. There are some people who provided numbers and explanations and you just come by and use some highbrow wording to discredit people who actually provided proof to their statements while you provided none and just keep saying "Nah, you are stupid, I know better".

Actual board price (250E for 25GH) are very overpriced and don't ever make ROI.

You dont have also BFSB M-Board on stock, so how join boards toghether?

And this note: "all chips are not guaranteed to work" - 2 of them would work, 14 not and this is OK, beceause  "all chips are not guaranteed to work"Huh You don't cares about customers.

This is just a disclaimer, each board has to reach 25 GH (as advertised), most can be overclocked to more then 30GH.

Hello and please accept my apologies for radio silence. The boards that we received are running quite hot, and I decided that we cannot sell them without heatsinks. We've also been extremely busy building a mine here in Finland for a very big private customer while we wait for heatsinks for the new boards. The heatsinks have been in production for some time now. First the custom 150kg heavy tool is being manufactured from steel, then we will have a test extrusion (should happen next week) and then we go into full production. So I would say in about 2-3 weeks time we should be able to start shipping a safe product.
Hi Niko/punin,

would you maybe want to sell some of those heatsinks? I'd like to buy a couple.

Additionally, I have a broken m-board (h-board shows up in different, even multiple slots). Is there something we can do about that?

Lastly, maybe you remember, I made a little fundraising for some tips to appreciate the BSFB performance

SebastianJu contacted you to get an BTC address to send to, but there was no answer, so we decided to give the (small) funds to Sean's Outpost https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=295211.msg3164621#msg3164621 https://blockchain.info/address/1XEGAEjoy2cc8urafTTjRAnoXkshFc1iY

I hope this was ok for all participants.

There's nothing wrong with your M board.  You're just using the wrong rPi image for your version of the M board.

I tried different rPis, different images, different m+h-boards, its definitifely the m-board. When I plug in one h-board (which works normal on other m-boards), this one board shows up in multiple, different slots at the same time in chainminer, with hashrates around 2 GH/s or less each and going down to 0 after some minutes.

At the moment I found one slot in which it runs more or less normal at 20 GH/s for about 15 minutes and then goes down to 0, so I made a cronjob to reboot the system every 15 minutes.

I had a h-board on which the regulator blew up while sitting on this m-board, since then its behaving strange, I suppose it was affected as well in some way.
