361  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas Mayor Wants to Re-open Casinos. Thoughts? on: May 03, 2020, 11:37:22 AM
If I'm not mistaken, casino workers don't even want to work amidst coronavirus. The mayor does not even want to step inside the casino along with the worker if ever they will push through the reopening of casinos, but she wants to open it for their own benefits.

We should be expecting our government to keep our safety but what she just showed in the interview is very frustrating. Everyone wants to return to work and stop the economy from crashing but we have no choice but to stay at our houses because of the threat of the virus. Can't she just understand that? Even the interviewer seems shocked by the mayor's belief. If you are a mayor, you would not risk your people's health.

She's going to be questioned a lot after this terrifying crisis, worse is that she will not be a mayor any longer. Because what she thought be helping for the meantime would cost a lot of lives to be at risk. Beside, it is their economy status would get down that it ain't even as worth as many lives, and  who else is safe from it? (I mean the economy falling down). Anway even if I were a gambler from there I won't even give it a go without a second guessing, and no matter how much I miss wandering around. I appricate her intentions but it is really bad no matter which side you look at.
362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which of the two will you choose as a gambler? on: May 02, 2020, 03:07:17 PM
I'll go with key based authentication. Pros of using it are entirely enough, and IMO, that one must prioritize to totally secure his own stuff. It is not that email based are faulty but one slight of an error on clicking something you thought needed, everything you have in there would be in hacker's hand even if it is just a small amount of penny. And in addition, either between the two options user must take an extra care holding his account, and should be held responsible for some sort mistake that might occur. Thus choosing the less prone one is the best idea.
363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: May 02, 2020, 03:51:40 AM
Put your feet under him maybe but thats about it.
Best example for this is none other than Zaza Pachulia. If you haven't seen the intentional dirty work he did with Kawhi well, he just put his put his feet under Kawhi (shooting three) before landing in, that obstruction lead to ankle injury, it was playoffs Game 1, if I remember it right.

-
-
6. Patrick Beverley - LAC
This guy could make your on-night be an off-night by attacking you mentally.
One example is forcing Durant to be kicked out in expense for him being kicked out too. That is a win for him.
Pat is really a thing when it comes to defense with this current league. He's already scary with his height, and imagine what he can do if he is given a height of Rudy Gobert. That little man going inside your head were always a big problem that it can destroy you the entire game. This was the problem of Westbrook all the time he got to face Pat. More than that mental defense stuff, he is dedicated to defense more than to score. He never got tired of chasing big, small guys who pose a threat to his team.

One more thing who can defend well some 3 point shooters is Fred VanVleet. I just see some statistics stuff in net on who successfully defend Curry, and I found out that out 74 games Fred defends Curry he hold it to having just 10.8 points, how tough. I based on Curry since he's known to get buckets more in downtown and in perimeter line. And he also average 27.3 points per game back in 2019 (since the info I found was made back in 2019).

Anyway here's the source: https://www.bardown.com/the-most-successful-steph-curry-defender-this-year-is-surprisingly-fred-vanvleet-1.1315297

365  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Takes Place Amidst Pandemic on: May 01, 2020, 06:34:43 AM
Looks like Nicaragua had no new cases for quite long time. If they have closed their borders and restricted all sorts of travelling (inbound and outbound), then I guess they are safe just like Nepal and other countries that had like 2/3 cases where the patients were dealt with. If they are doing proper and enough testing of their patients, and there are zero new cases, then I see nothing wrong with this. Though, yeah. You don't want to risk anything. A single infected person who hasn't been tested might infect the whole crowd making a huge mess!

Definitely, just a drop of his saliva could infect allot already, but basically, why would they watch without protection right? I think they will still wear mask to avoid having the virus, or maybe the infected person should wear it. I am just thinking about this, if they are feeling sick, basically having the coronavirus, why would they still watch boxing match? or maybe they don't feel the symptoms yet but they are already a carrier of the virus. That's the problem here, even though we think it is safe for us to watch, we don't actually know if someone has it, meaning to say that these kind of activities should be within the jurisdiction of the country, and with a reason of having not enough funds to support their family isn't reasonable at all. It shouldn't be allowed so people could stay at home.

Closing borders, no new infected cases, and even wearing a mask for a so-called protection (which won't really do that good if you're totally exposed) isn't an assurance to go further with such events. It is not about the number, it should be all about on maintaining the possible worst-case scenario. Being over confident with having small or no number of cases at all would harm 'em by a very slightly mistake of letting the mass goes in public specially if someone out there is a carrier or an asymptomatic one (which is alarming since you don't even know if you have it or not).
366  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: May 01, 2020, 02:23:19 AM
I only long for the Clippers right now I think they have the dynamic roster in the NBA.
Gotta wait for the young guys to develop specially Morrant, who got the nerves to go directly with tall guys and try to poster. I just hope that attitude won't harm him.

I wonder what would be the scoring range of the team that plays against the bad boys pistons in 1988.. If they are so physical then probably their opponent will be having a hard time to score, probably the score would not reach 100 points per game, or maybe they'll just hit 60 or 70 points, that's the lowest already at the current state of the basketball.

The total points 1988-89 Pistons made is 8740, and the total points of the opponents they faced is 8264. The total points average per game by 1988-89 Pistons is 106.6 while the opponent is 100.8. The point gap wasn't that high so it indicates that 1988-89 NBA teams are showing strong offense as well. Since if the said team was really a great defender (I am not denying lol, it was that the opponent have a great offense as well) more or less might not be able to score an average of 3 digits per game.

Comparing it to the league right now,  I don't think that they can execute something as physically as that. Referees now are soft like when Harden goes in it would always be foul, right away lol. Kiddin' aside, the entirety of the game right now is totally different because even big guys nowadays are shooting from 3 pt line instead of having a bloody battle inside the paint.

Here's the source of stats I mentioned above: https://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/DET/1989.html
(Please correct me, if I misinterpret the whole thing)

367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Gambling Life During Quarantine on: April 30, 2020, 08:47:31 AM
Man I really missed going outside. From the time the government orders lockdown is the time I never go outside again. It wasn't like that I don't want to but everything is closed, and I ain't even the one who buy foods, and stuff thus, I have no choice but to stay indoors. It is just irritating at some point 'cause it seems you're left nothing on what to do except exploring net, studying, and reading.

In terms of socializing, well, having it with your friends outside, I mean you see each other phsycially is entirely different than socmed because too much socmed at somepoint still would get in your boredom. It is just the feeling, the vibe isn't there so it is not thar fun/enjoyable.

Gambling life, well can't bet for obvious reason because sports are prohibited to operate. So as an alternative if my brother wanna play some games too we used to play NBA 2k20 with bet on the line. Apparently it is not bad since it is up to me to play well in order to win. Try it with your friends, siblings it is as exciting as you bet sports then watch it play live.
368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: April 30, 2020, 03:26:47 AM
Thompson is a great defender as well. Like back then in finals between Cavs and GSW it is Thompson who used to defend Kyrie, and you'll see Kyrie got a hard time somehow. When it comes to offense, indeed GSW as a whole keeps on going around specially the splash brothers, their big mans knows when to give a screen in order for two to have a clear path on shooting in 3 pt line. Reminds me of the breakdown video of their offense, forgot what it is called, it is... something like Elevator Doors. It is like, man nobody could even get close to Curry behind the line. And them as a whole they prioritizes passing rather than having a single man making play alone. That's why they are so great even KD haven't been recruited yet. Anyway don't get me wrong, I am not a fan of GSW.

Warriors have been very consistent, even with the line up now (without KD), I still believe they will get into the NBA Finals.
Honestly, I can't wait to see a healthy warriors playing again, and i think the pandemic gives them more time to recover, especially Thompson.
Agree man. However, they aren't the only team who is capable of getting in playoffs or even in the finals. These promising young guns have to be considered as well Luka Doncic, Zion Williamson, Ja Morrant, and Trae Young they are scary, I mean, just look on where these man are capable as of their rookie state, and imagine how capable they would be in the future. Curry and Thompson have been tainted by injuries if they could still get their accuracy, and playstyle like to what it was then they might be still one of a terrifying team to face-off.
Not to mention Giannis team, and Kawhi's, man, NBA team roster is a whole lot different now.
369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think sport betting and gambling casinos are the first business to get up on: April 29, 2020, 01:45:56 PM
This Pandemic will last for 6 to 8 months more and it will definitely take a toll on the gambling casino business.
Do you think it's one of the businesses that will get up or recover their losses immediately after this pandemic is over
or it will take some time because people will have to take care of business first or go back to work first.

Apparently it will take some time, of course, and it is just like everybody else's businesses. And no matter how much we see how everyone badly wanted to go out and do their daily stuff, the fear of getting exposed would always be there. Maybe there will be few who would go back. In addition, although casino income comes from a daily basis doesn't mean they lose a lot, you know, there were orders that obliged people/companies not to pay tax for a mean while. And beside they don't even have any employee to pay off specially if their contract comes in jno work, no pay basis (as an assumption). In conclusion, if such place comes into function again, they can generate money again like they used to.
370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: April 29, 2020, 10:54:14 AM
GSW may look like an offensive team with Curry and Thompson at their championship games. But when you look deep at how difficult the switching is, you will know how hardcore their defense is.
Exactly this, people tend to forget that since they were focused on three points shooting. Other teams started copying GSW, adding shooters and chugging those threes, but in order for that to work, you have to have quality defense, and proper kind of support players, like Draymond Green. Same thing Bulls had in Rodman, who had same capability, to defend all 5 positions.

Yes!
Green is the heart of their defense.
When I saw everything in slow motion, I realized it was that difficult switching Curry to another player like Thompson when defending offensive players.
One example that I saw was Harden getting a screen to force Curry to defend him.
Then, you will see hand signs which is a cue for another switch.
For me, that is just impossible since you will give up seconds of switching which could be an opportunity for Harden to shoot..

As I saw how clear it is, I became a fan of those guys. Those cannot be perfected without brutal practice and chemistry.

They were really sensational that time, Romeo was the one who is the most popular in the Gilas team, but other player like Abueva was also playing with so much energy that time, and we can tell after when other coach stepped up on the plate, and worst when Yeng took over as Romeo was never inserted in the line up.

It seems to me that Yeng coaches the team way too personal than looking upon the objectives. He even picked his players rather than looking generally on who is more capable of playing in internationals. Though one of the great coaches there but he is not as great as being the right coach for GILAS, IMO. If it weren't about that brawl happened back then the team itself would play as if their last. Anyway, still waiting with those promising young guns we have in future though.
372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CORONAVIRUS IMPACT ON SPORTS GAMBLING on: April 28, 2020, 11:20:54 AM
sports gambling most this days are online, and don't need to be in the place, but since sports like basketball, soccer, baseball , volleyball, etc, are cancelled
this gambling game are down, so mostly the impact are no profit, and no sports being held to protect the players we see that all business are interrupted and most of the employee's are jobless, because of this pandemic, i hope that people will stay at home for our community to go back to normal , im sure everything will be back to stable state, and all this gambling will also be back to normal.

The health of the players should be their main concern here. they need to make sure they are at their best when the games resume. I see in some NBA teams they are now allowed to practice in their GYMS, the others are still in lockdown because of their current situation in their respective cities. when these games will be resume, I'm sure they will recover their losses quickly.

Well it was, and will always be even though this pandemic doesn't exist since they won't be able to play a single game at their best if there is a health matter that disturbing the player itself. It is just that they are forced to stay home and look for themselves as this is not a typical health issues, and it is as terrible as it can easily affect the entire humanity existence. And in addition, conditioning themselves can be done at their homes as well, it is just that much better at gyms since every material they need is in there. So, they must have the initiative to do it so or to stay still.

SMB is the best team in the PBA, so it's obvious that they will pick the coach as the best coach.
Autria has a lot of achievement already as a SMB coach, soon he will retire, he might join the hall of famer although Tim Cone still has the better record.

Big congratulations to him, he is professional and maybe he handles his team very well so he got the respect from his players.

He is the best coach of the year. Speaking of the best coach and you mentioned about Time Cone.

I'll never forget how Tim Cone make it possible to the "Hotshots" to touch a Grandslam few years back. I was wondering if who will be the next Gilas Pilipinas coach (I hope one of them).

It is either between the two. But I certainly think it would be Tim Cone though the problem is, would he accept the offer? Because if not then it would be for Austria or maybe up for Norman Black, who knows? Norman Black is good coach as well though.

Anyway, everytime I think about Hotshots, Tim would always be there. Maybe the same for the others because of that historical feat he made, he is more like the face of that team.
374  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Ano ang tingin ninyo dito sa forum? Ano ang opinyon ninyo dito? on: April 27, 2020, 11:47:27 AM
Much has been said by sir @Bttzed03 and sir @LogitechMouse. Forum is more like a place wherein several companies are going in para makahanap ng space to endorse their product. So it is more like a job na rin to join a signature campaign, and beside IRL, particular jobs doesn't give you a decent salary lalo na pag-common ka. So may mangilan-ngilan na nag-eend up mag-full time na rito like sir @LogitechMouse though unstable pero it could save you more than your salary IRL job, it is just you have to be wise on saving money lang to secure your future stuff. Lucky enough ka na if you've been able to get in sa mga may high payrates na signature campaign here like Chipmixer, and FJ. So, I think the problem here is, the more the chances na mag open up may magpa-pop up talaga na lawbreaker and since anonymity promotes here some others think what is there to lose?

Anyway, if you'll enjoy your stay here thinking aside 'yong signature campaign everything would be wonderful kahit wala ka campaign siyempre 'yong learnings, discussions and such. Mas enjoy lang siguro if may campaign since you're doing your normal routine here while being paid, o diba? Who would've deny such opportunity rin naman.
375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: April 27, 2020, 05:57:30 AM
In my opinion, success is not guaranteed even North Port got Terence and Pringle along with Stand.

People would think it's gonna be a big 3 and will make the NP a better team, however, we need to understand that it's a team effort, and that's the reason why teams like SMB and Ginebra are successful, they have a good starting line up and they have good bench players as well.

Agree, and there were team that managed to do well in the league though they don't have that much of a big player like Fajardo such as Magnolia, and TNT, you name it. C. Stand is enough, if the team itself can maximize the potential C. Stand can produce, believe they'll be giving every team a hard time winning against them specially in All Filipino Cup, even SMB or Ginebra (though Ginebra IMO is quite weak in AFC). Right rotation, and playstyle would bring them ring.
376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: April 26, 2020, 11:16:40 AM
will see, with C. Stand addition, that's already huge, remember what they achieved last conference.

Very huge, C. Stand gives a lot of improvement to the NP team, they went to Semi-Finals against Ginebra and although they lose, but we can appreciate their improvement as Ginebra is such a good team with a solid foundation already, the thing is, C. stand's effort is quite close or even better than their import, so he will be a beast in all Filipino cup. This is just a start, if they keep this team, they'll achieve more.

He never struggles, he played 2 teams so far in the PBA but he only gets better. With the SMB, they won a championship, he was a good defender against Terrence Jones, which was beast that time, and because of his effort, the team won against the TNT.

The hustle, and effort he put every game. No wonder he's overall number 1 pick, after all, so he really needs to show the capability of top pick not to mention that he had a good team with a good coach wherein he grew up more. But now that the surroundings with him are entirely different he could give more compared to his previous team even though he don't have to give all, the team itself is already strong, IMO. The problem is that  C. Stand is quite hot headed that it could put him in trouble.

I have one friend who used to play dice in stake.com, he started with a very small fund ($100), out of that money, he managed to have a balance of 24 ETH at some point but unlucky guy lost everything in one day. Once again, with the bonus he got from stake, he managed to cross 30 ETH within less than a month but yesterday, he lost everything once again.
How come he lost everything one day? Do most of the gamblers lose money in such way?

Not trying to be a detective but may be he bet all of his assets? Or maybe he went lose streak then betting double after it? Though losing isn't uncommon in gambling world so maybe your friend went into sort of need-to-take-back-my-winnings guy so he go all unless he won back his money. Man, your friend needs an assistance, advice maybe won't do but you need to keep an eye on him else everything would be unfortunate to him in gambling world. To take note that he's already luck with his winning but he insist on playing once more, is already a sign of a bad habit. Something needs to reassess here, man.

What is your opinion about this one?

Robert Bolick wants to accomplish what Romeo, Pringle failed to do at NorthPort

Bollick trying to prove something, will his confidence be able to help the Northport succeed?
Romeo and Pringle are two of the best players in the PBA now, Bollick seems to be setting a very high goal here.

If that's his mission, then so be it and hoping for his success. That's a big statement and he also involved 2 NorthPort former top players which aren't actually necessary.

And coming from an ACL injury, I really hope Bolick will come back to his shape. That injury is not a joke as even his mind is really determined to push for the goal, his body might not cooperate at 100% in the process.

NorthPort basketball team operation should also do their best to surround their key players with good supporting players. They are always behind in terms of overall team performance for years.

When Romeo, and Pringle failed to do it so then how he can. I am not against this guy but what he wants to accomplish is something that requires a good team, good coaching and not a single player alone. I just wish that this loyalty he has for his team may last long till he achieve his dream championship, and I appreciate his ambition. You know, someone can easily be swayed by money, and sometime someone can be traded off for a couple of good players.

I think we can make a run. May dalawang big kami. May banger kami – si Kelly at Christian. I think we can make a run for the championship.

I want to highlight his statement. On contrary, again, he needs a good coach, players rotation (since they can't play all time long, they get gassed out either), playstyle specially in playoffs since the game isn't about how good the players are it's team game, after all. Anyway I just hope he get what he want but I am still rooting for TNT.

They will always find a way how to satisfy their inner desires in gambling.
Yes and it will be through something that is not conventionally known like this one.

The casinos have to do something to keep the players incoming too. They have to run their business and so we see this current rise in number of email bonuses, social media promotions and homemade games to bet on which can run indoors.

I am sure some friendly betting games occuring in social gatherings have reduced but it does not take long to combine a digital payment system and an IM chat with making bets with friends and this can be an alternative to gambling at local casinos.

Best works with friends who are into gambling. Anway it is still fun though the game might be uncommon but when you played it with your friends it won't ever get boring, not at all.

For casinos, their only best bet is to run it online. There's nothing they can do on having gambling except online although there will be only few users who have the materials to do it but at least they kept it running.
