361  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling problem on: January 25, 2016, 05:50:48 AM
I've lost over 10BTC in the past three months, and let me tell you. Stopping isn't as easy as you might think. I don't know why I keep doing it but I do. And the result is always the same.
Net Profit: - 5.500BTC
Sometimes I play Black Jack, sometimes I play Dice. Most of the time it's dice, and that's basically where I lose all my money. Nothing ever works. Martingale: Nope. Reverse Martingale: Nope. All in 80-90%: Nope. Spamming 97% win chance: Nope. I wish I could stop lol

Dice is always a money trap. At least with BJ if you play "basic strategy" you have a chance of going on a roll and beating the house.

Are these BTC for fun? Or a big part of your income? Cause to lose that much money when you actually need it sucks.
362  Economy / Gambling / Re: How can I win big? on: January 25, 2016, 05:48:25 AM
Slow and steady is the best way to build your roll but if you are impatient and want to win big from 0.005 gonna have to play longshot parlays. They pay big but obviously the chances are not great to hit.

364  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betting on the US Presidential Election on: January 20, 2016, 08:11:53 AM
DirectBet is an option. Nitrogen sometimes has the Politics option available too.

Hillary is the favorite for the nominee and most likely election winner but I would put down a small bet on a underdog like Bernie Sanders. Maybe people will realize how bought out Clinton is by big banks and support someone not attached to them by the hip for a change.
365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Washington Post Writer Says People Loyal to Bitcoin are "Greedy and Stupid" on: January 20, 2016, 08:06:33 AM
This Vivek Wadhwa is the worst. It is obvious where his bias lies but he's still so defensive about his position and surprised when supporters of Bitcoin call him out on bullshit by calling them more names.

Why greedy? Because we see potential in a non-fiat currency?

Why stupid? If people here were really losing that money or didn't believe in what Bitcoin has to offer, they wouldn't still be here.
366  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Spanish League Prediction Thread (La Liga) on: January 20, 2016, 08:02:14 AM
Athletic Bilbao  VS  FC Barcelona
Barcelona on Monday played down fears that striker Lionel Messi injured his hamstring during Sunday's 6-0 thrashing of Athletic Bilbao in La Liga. So i continue to bet in Barcelona in this match.
Pick FC Barcelona @ 1.8

So big odds for Barcelona, I think it is a must pick for tomorrow

It's a Cup match as well as a two-leg affair. I don't think Barca will be as aggressive this match and Bilbao W/D could have the best value.
367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: January 20, 2016, 08:00:53 AM
Leicester City beat Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 at White Hart Lane last week, so I think Leicester City is more likely to win than to lose today at home. I will thus bet on Leicester City +0 @ 2.132.
Leicester City beat tottenham Hotspur won the last game, but this will probably be the arena revenge, tottenham will play very seriously at the forthcoming game, so I'll bet on over 2.5 goals, this will be an exciting match

It's also a cup match. I like the over for this game. Could see both teams coming out firing and being aggressive.
368  Economy / Gambling / Re: What makes PrimeDice the best? Or one of them? on: January 20, 2016, 07:45:47 AM
In my opinion, most dice sites are more or less the same, so people just got to the dice site which has the biggest reputation, which is of course, PrimeDice.

They have a very big user base, have a nice interface, and have ran smoothly for many years, I guess that is why they are the biggest and the best. Also, PrimeDice used to advertise a lot , so that attracted a ton of users. Now they don't need to advertise anymore, seeing as they have so many users. I think new users usually come to PrimeDice because they see PrimeDice mentioned a lot around the forum.

They are pretty much the same. They might have minor differences in house edge. Also right with the advertising, they haven't had a signature campaign for a long time.

PrimeDice is popular because of how long is has been part of the Bitcoin community. Plus Stunna is one of the most reputable people on the forum so people feel safe playing there.
369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it a sin to gamble? on: January 20, 2016, 07:43:50 AM
Depends on your religion. This has been brought up many times. Someone had asked before if it was haram to do binary trading which is a form of gambling so yes I would say that is technically a sin. It can lead you to a path of destruction if you abuse it.
370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lets try to make 1.5 BTC from 0.013. Total profit so far: 0.16btc on: January 20, 2016, 02:59:10 AM
There was no pick for today?

Seems 4 in a row so far. Looking for juicy #5.  Grin

If I'm not mistaken, I think all of the games tonight are live right now... so there is no chance for him to make a bet today, I think... Maybe he's just sitting this one out and waiting for a better tomorrow?  Idk about you, but I was planning on following his picks with a .013 bet myself... I mean why not, amm'iright?

I wasn't on earlier to see if he had posted but looks like he didn't play any matches today. Would make sense if he is waiting for a more favorable matchup!

I'm definitely planning on following his picks! Turn my 0.13 to 1.5 BTC too  Cheesy
371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Washington Post: 'R.I.P. Bitcoin. It’s time to move on' on: January 20, 2016, 02:50:21 AM
So much FUD in one article it's disgusting

"Bitcoin was born with serious flaws.  It was unregulated and provided anonymity, so it rapidly became a haven for drug dealers and anarchists. Its price fluctuated wildly, allowing for crazy speculation. And, with the majority of Bitcoin being owned by the small group that started promoting it, it has been compared to a Ponzi scheme."

Fuck this guy and his bullshit reporting.
372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2015-16 Regular Season Discussion on: January 20, 2016, 02:38:35 AM
New Orleans -5 tonight boys is the lock.  Towns and Wiggins will struggle mightily against the NO frontcourt.  I placed the wager earlier when it was at -5 NO but now I am seeing the line move to -6.5...

Looking pretty close so far but think Pelicans will seal it. Not sure if they cover the spread though. The over on that game is looking really good.

Nuggets come out firing on the Thunder. That +9 looking mighty fine right.

Surprising how badly the Heat got dominated. They are so streaky some nights.

374  Economy / Gambling / Re: My journey from 0.243 BTC to 1 BTC in a day on: January 20, 2016, 02:20:24 AM
I thought you meant you had already completed it. Seems like it would be very difficult to reach 1 BTC from 0.243 and using martingale strategy you risk busting your whole roll quickly. Thought this would be a sports betting thread.
375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lets try to make 1.5 BTC from 0.013. Total profit so far: 0.16btc on: January 19, 2016, 08:08:54 AM
You know, usually I see these threads pop up and think "Oh yeah right..." but your actually pulling them off! Good for you!

Maybe as of right now, you should think about putting them on a parlay and getting better odds, plus you don't have to wait day by day... mehh.. idk, keep doing what you're doing.

BTW just curious, what site are you going off of? I didn't see where you were betting in the OP.

I dont agree on making parlay. With parlay you will have more risk because there is more than 2 match that you need to double or triple your payout and you need to win all of the parlay to win it , the risk is too high so I dont think parlay is a good option to take

Plus with parlays you are usually only looking at matches for the same day. The method OP is using he picks from his favorite matches each day which gives higher winner probabilities.

Keep it up Carlos!
376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people use so many Bitcoin wallets? on: January 19, 2016, 07:19:16 AM
Every wallet has their own advantage imo and can be used for different situations. Helps to have to multiple to access from. As long as you have the private keys safely secured, doesn't matter how many you own.
377  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Portuguese League Prediction Thread (Primeira Liga) on: January 19, 2016, 07:17:13 AM
Cup matches on today.

Looks like Benfica is playing a second tier team in Oriental. Should be able to handle the ML. Maybe parlay it with another good pick like PSG
378  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: In Gambling, Money is not everything on: January 19, 2016, 07:14:43 AM
What is the prime motto for your gambling.
Many people here are against considering gambling as a earning source. Without money, you will not be able to gamble.
Just for fun type of gamblers, only a demo account or a video game is more than enough.

Please share your ideas on role of money in gambling.

For me,gambling is more to fun and entertainment. Yup, sometime im play a demo account just for fun. At least im not felt bored anymore. But,if i have some extra money on my wallet, surely i will gamble on it. Only two result i will get, either im lose or im win. Anyway,i love gambling. Wink

It's got to be for fun. Otherwise, you will stress yourself, so much you will get sick.  Too many times I have seen people lose huge amounts that they cannot afford to lose and become depressed. Concentrate on the important things in life first. Then have a little fun with the gambling as well. Too many people make it a part of their daily life.
379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2015-16 Regular Season Discussion on: January 19, 2016, 03:51:08 AM
Cleveland Cavaliers vs Golden State Warriors match, Cavaliers playing so bad. Warriors owned first half. i thought this match will close but it's not. Easy win for GSW.
heading 32 points and still Q3... Shocked

Can't even believe what I saw from that game. Complete domination by the Warriors. Sinking 3s from everywhere and playing lockdown defense.

Congratulations to all the Warriors backers!!

Didin't watch live for this match, but what happened to Cavaliers? they are playing in their Home, can't believe with this huge loss

Too many isolation plays. No good movement. Very poor defense.

Warriors outmatched them everywhere. Shooting better. Defending better. Better ball movement. And playing like they had a chip on their shoulder. They don't like the comments made by Cavs that Warriors got lucky to win the championship so they decided to embarrass them on their home floor.

BLATANT ISSUES WITH LIVE BETTING:

Careful when betting live here. There is a 5 second confirmation time for a bet to be placed. In that 5 second time frame, if the line moves out of your favor, your bet will be ACCEPTED. If the line moves in your favor, the bet is REJECTED.

Cloudbet also does this.

Avoid live betting here until the issue is fixed.

This problem is going with bitcoin betting sites only as today happen to me on Directbet I have bet with odds 1.4 and they accept this odds just 1.04 now have no faith in these sites

Yes I've seen that at DB but at least there is a "negotiate odds" so that you can automatically take a line if it gets there.

I do believe there is a warning about this before you bet, and most live games money is moving fast so if it's not that large of a line spread difference it shouldn't be concerning.

There is no warning about this before you bet. There is nothing indicating a 5 second confirmation time and there is definitely nothing that tells you your bet will be rejected if the line moves in your favor and that the bet will be pushed through if the odds go out of your favor. And that makes a massive difference in the value of the lines. Live does move fast but if you can't keep confirmations consistent then have live betting only available during timeouts or stops in play.

Hey Koshgel,

I'm sorry you're feeling frustrated with live betting.  All live bets have a 5 second delay to check that the lines have not been updated when the bet was placed. This is a verification to ensure that our live lines and odds are accurate. The software does not make the distinction on whether a line is favourable, only whether the odds are correct.

I understand that it could be frustrating when an unfavorable adjustment happens before you're able to confirm your bet, but I can assure you that this is not a deliberate act against the bettor. I'll be sure to pass along your feedback regarding making this verification policy more apparent in the live wagering rules. Feel free to PM me or email support if you have any addition feedback/questions.

Thanks,
Calvin

The 5 second delay was not originally part of live. It was added later. Nitro does everything in their power to mitigate any gambling advantage. That's why Soccer was removed from live betting altogether. Don't make it seem like I am seeing things out of "frustration".
