1161  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 50K Silk road coins to be auctioned 5 March. on: February 28, 2015, 11:25:13 PM
They were being sold off in blocks. Is this the last set of coins from SR?
1162  Other / Meta / Re: Can we have a ponzi section added to the forums? on: February 28, 2015, 11:21:07 PM
I still think we should ban the ponzis after mods create a section for them. They are not good for the community.

Agreed. They aren't good for the community but as long as ponzis are legal in a country, it is unlikely to be banned from the site.
1163  Economy / Gambling / Re: What type of player vs player game would you like on: February 28, 2015, 06:45:32 PM
I would really prefer 0% edge dice, that would be nice lol.

But that would never happen, since casinos need to make profit.

A casino would still win even with a 0% house edge

In the long run the casino would be even, not necessarily profiting.
1164  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Purchsed my first BTC, spent my first BTC on: February 28, 2015, 05:33:52 PM
Best way to support the Bitcoin economy is to spend and almost everything online can be bought with BTC. Makes sense to instant convert and buy whatever you need with BTC.
1165  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SEGVEC CONNED ME OUT OF 14.09 BTC on: February 28, 2015, 05:30:46 PM
He has absolutely nothing to gain from paying you back, and nothing to lose from not paying you back.

You're dunzoes.

Pretty much this. Shitty situation from the start only made shittier by additional scamming. No one is getting paid back.
1166  Economy / Gambling / Re: Play Blackjack at BitcoinBJ.net - 5% Free Bonus!!! (today only) on: February 28, 2015, 05:28:06 PM
Will try it out but BJ pays 6/5 not 3/2?

Beautiful pieces. Good luck on the sales.
1168  Other / Meta / Re: Calling the PONZI/SCAMS "Investor-based games" its immoral on: February 27, 2015, 08:04:13 PM
By calling PONZI/SCAMS section "Investor-based games", its immoral in my opinion when we all know that section is FULL OF SCAMMERS .
You should simply forbid this kind of scams, not make their own section, and on top of that calling it "Investor-based games" ...

That section is a sort of "trashcan" for all the ponzi schemes discussion, don't worry because it is presente the warning :

Warning: You are in the Gambling section. You are likely to eventually lose any money that you gamble/"invest". Additionally, moderators do not remove likely scams. You must use your own brain: caveat emptor. Do not gamble more than you can afford to lose.

I think this is sufficient, if someone want to lose their money it is free to do that ( now all know what is a ponzi scheme).

This.

It is a corner of the gambling section now. If noobs go looking in that section and still ignore all the warnings, there is not much more that can be done. Scams/games are not moderated here.
1169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting On Cricket World Cup [Help Me Bet] on: February 27, 2015, 08:01:48 PM
Can anyone give a match analysis for New Zealand and Australia? Is Australia much stronger or is it close?
1170  Economy / Services / Re: [BIT-X.com] Earn Bitcoins by Posting | Signature Campaign on: February 27, 2015, 07:48:28 PM

1171  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting On Cricket World Cup [Help Me Bet] on: February 27, 2015, 03:38:07 AM
Can't believe Afghanistan came back to win. They were +1000 underdogs at one point

indeed true ! Looks like impossible but they came back strong making me loose too many things !

Even in last 5 minutes, it looked impossible.

I had them at 1.4 so not even good value with win  Undecided
1172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Average Age for Bitcoin/Crypto currency users on: February 27, 2015, 03:36:54 AM
Early 20s and teenagers for a majority I imagine. With a smattering of 30-40+
1173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin is a solution without a problem? on: February 27, 2015, 03:33:27 AM
99% of the time that's what I hear from 'average' people:

"Why should I use Bitcoin when I have a credit card and Paypal? Bitcoin is a solution without a problem ... "

Thousands have experienced problems with Paypal and credit cards! There are problems.

With competition like Paypal, Bitcoin has a very bright future.

It honestly boggles my mind that they have grown to where they are now.

Bitcoin has a ton of applications. It doesn't necessarily have to solve a problem. Just make life easier.
1174  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do girls use Bitcoin ? on: February 27, 2015, 03:31:53 AM
Many of the sells/buys on localbtc are surprisingly girl names so definitely part of the Bitcoin game.
1175  Other / Meta / Re: Can we have a ponzi section added to the forums? on: February 27, 2015, 03:29:44 AM
Thank you Theymos. The difference in the Gambling section is already noticeable.

+1

He just grabbed some random transactions on the blockchain and placed them onto the list, added a random number as "time left" and "confirmation".

THIS

Not even a good scam. Don't put ANY money in here.
