I'll try both - in order. Will check back in later E2A- without .conf & after 2 hours, I have 8 connections & next minting is in 10 hours so it'll be 2moz AM before if I know if the orphan prob is solved. Good. I hope there's improvement. I found that when I've run multiple wallets in the past that sometimes syncing can get 'stuttery', and wallets will occasionally need restarting. I stopped doing it because of that.

Fair point, on last re-start I ran from the 'old' desktop shortcut, but honestly, it makes NO difference. I've re-re-started from the FOR SURE new shortcut, as soon as it FUs again I'll screenie it.
Can you also try removing your current Kobocoin.conf and just let the wallet sync with the seeders (with no conf file). I'd even suggest deleting everything except your wallet.dat (back it up first) from the AppData/Roaming/Kobocoin directory and letting the new wallet sync from the start. It shouldn't take more than 1 hour (if even that).

Here's a visual to illustrate the issue:- Hi, That's not the updated wallet. It doesn't have messaging.

Just reporting in on a problem I've seen SO many times since the end of PoW. I hoped that the new wallet would solve it but no such luck.
This is what I see:-
I'll get a minting notification, checking 'transactions' will tell me that that the block has 1 confirm, but when I check back later - many hours - it'll still say 1 confirm, the mouse-over on synchronisation will say 'up to date' but when I check block explorer I find it stopped syncing after that 1 block conformation. When I re-start the wallet, the block I mined is orphaned, and I'm several hundred blocks out of sync. I only get about 1 block in 5 that isn't orphaned. About 2 Kobo every 3 days, with over 10K staking.
This isn't great performance compared with my #1 staking coin, which only orphans maybe 1 block in 30 & always re-mints within a few hours.
Anybody got any ideas? Dev?
Are you running multiple wallets (different coins at the same time)?

I have taken a great interest in this coin and am going to start trading. Good job dev team. I wish you the best of success.
Thanks. We seem to be making progress.

I haven't had that issue with either wallet. Which OS are you using? Also can you PM me and send me your debug.log?

UPDATE:Kobocoin ABE Explorer is now up and running http://167.160.36.102:2750/The X15 hashing issue appears to be resolved. There's still a few teething problems so the service might be up and down a few times over the next few days. I'll also add a link to it from the main website, and a return link. There's a few things I want to sort out but it appears to be serving the correct information. I want to re-install to verify the fix, and also to clean up all the rubbish from finding the fix. Once Abe and website integration is sorted I can start building the android wallet.

google chrome and internet explorer says that the file is unsafe to download. is it possible to do something about that because that scares people a bit off
FWIW, Firefox is fine with the download and, although my AV scanned the file on execution, it returned an all-clear. Although it would be best if the download generated no warnings, it might also be a generic issue with downloading an .exe file, depending on your security settings.... No issues downloading on chrome for me. And I uploaded to Jotti: http://virusscan.jotti.org/en/scanresult/9ed8a618ec453d1159537570fb11f20f64375982It has one erroneous report, nothing else that would trigger a normal virus/malware scan Thanks for this. I'll make sure to have test results of this nature included in any future updates. Here's the result for v2.1.0.1. I'll find out what PUA.Spyware.XPCSpyPro is. http://virusscan.jotti.org/en/scanresult/4a25327bce80f41f337bf420233fd85407085c40

DESKTOP WALLET UPDATED TO VERSION 2.1.0.1.An incorrect name was found in a strategically important location! Please download v2.1.0.1 from OP, update announcement, or website ( www.kobocoin.com). Thanks dev. Great job! Thanks. Funny thing is that when I used to build systems for a living I always said "Never install ANYTHING with a zero at the end of it". I was known for that statement. I guess it still applies!

Best I can do for now. As usual, no cryptos are allowed on the windows store. That's probably the only way to guarantee acceptance by the browser. I'll try and find out how other developers have gotten over this.

Yes, it seems fine with firefox. When I tried with IE it gave a message. I'll see what method of distribution to use to get over that issue.

I notice that KOBO value is dropping and that there is no volume anymore??
A coin will drop value with such a large ratio of sellers to buyers. If people would hold the coin and stake it, instead of leaving it on an exchange, the price would come back up. It just depends on people now, too many sellers, not enough buyers. Yes, unfortunately I think the delays may also be a factor. All I can do is keep building the platform. As services come online confidence should grow.

If you haven't downloaded your v2.1 Desktop wallet please head over to www.kobocoin.com and download one.

Website looking good. It's a good thing to make kobocoin more user friendly.
Going check the new kobocoin wallet tonight.
Thanks. I also want to put stats near the blue bar on a ticker to show time, current price, market cap, (maybe daily crypto news as well) or maybe some other info. I'll think of something. The website has to look current and live. But that's for another time. Right now it's full steam ahead in the pursuit of the Abe fix.

UPDATE:The www.kobocoin.com website has been updated. There's also a blue announcement bar on the front page. The website should be a bit easier to understand for new users.
