I'd like 63 and 69.

Thank you.

I am not really sure, but it does sound like that....

I read somewhere that they will be able to run at least until October 2020 but idk how valid that information is.
363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Number 9! Ninth altcoin thread. Back to the moon Baby! on: March 30, 2020, 08:31:35 AM
Been out of the loop for the past couple of weeks due to the Covid19 issues and didn't have as much time to research regarding ProgPOW and E3 end of life date. So far from what I understand the ProgPOW was a go, then people went all over Reddit and Twitter complaining to the ETH devs and they decided to not do ProgPOW, then they had some conference call which was 50/50 and haven't heard anything since. So is ProgPOW a go or not? Anyone got any concrete details?

Also it seems like next week sometime the Antminer E3 will cease to be able to mine ETH anymore. Basically it will stop at the same DAG as it did with ETC. Wondering what will happen to the hashrate. Honestly with all that is going around I still think the hashrate is still pretty high and hardly changed from the peak in Feb 2020, basically proof that most people are mining ETH with free or very cheap electricity rates.

Oh my my... How unexpected  Shocked

They have already released a firmware on 17.03.2020. with this description:
"1. Extended the E3 miner life."
364  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: It is 2020 time for a new diff thread. on: March 27, 2020, 07:58:23 PM
No, Been mining a while. Will not be profitable after halving, and likely turning off machines at this price.

After halving mining revenue drops by 50% due to block reward reduction.
Unprofitable miners turn off machines, increasing time to find block.
Longer block times further reduces revenue for active miners, forcing more miners to turn off.
Longer block times increase EPOC duration, making difficulty adjustment further away.
Mempool get overloaded as too little miners with too high difficulty. Slowing or freezing transactions. (higher fees may counteract this)
No new miners join as difficulty is just to high, with little chance of finding blocks.

so on, and so on..

It's just a theory, possible, not probable. Price will also have major influence. If it does happen, i'm sure the next diff adjustment will put things back to normal, just don't now how long it will take.

You lack knowledge my friend...

You are throwing around "big" words about mining, but you either do not understand how it actually works or you are just attention seeker. I'll leave this conversation now.
365  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: It is 2020 time for a new diff thread. on: March 27, 2020, 04:20:25 PM
But as a miner, i can shut down my machines immediately after the halving and just wait for difficulty to drop 50+% at the next adjustment. This will save me massive amounts of electricity and money.

It's free market with tight margins, so everybody has incentive to shut down right after halving. The miners who stay on take on the burden of mining at a loss.

I think its definitely a big risk to the network, and can be easily fixed with modifying the code.

Are you new to mining? Because it seems like you are.

There are a lot of people and big mining farms with really cheap or free electricity, and they aren't really mining at a loss.
366  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Looking for cheap and quiet ASIC on: March 25, 2020, 04:34:53 PM
I think there is a thread where they explained how you can make yourself one that is quiet but doesn't hash a lot since you use only 1 out of 3 hashboards.
If you are willing to cover the cost I can make you one out of V9 (if I figure out how to control it's fan speed since that is the main source of noise, but I do not think it will be hard).
367  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Raffle for one (1) Antminer T17 40 TH/s Free USA Shipping on: March 25, 2020, 12:33:04 AM
Okay, one more question.
If I buy 2 slots today, and decide to buy 5 more tomorrow, does that "discount"(10-9-9-8-8-7-7...) still count?
368  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Raffle for one (1) Antminer T17 40 TH/s Free USA Shipping on: March 25, 2020, 12:14:18 AM
So, how does it work exactly?
1. Where can we find the address?
2. Do we choose numbers and they pay or pay and then choose numbers?
3. If you say there is multiple slots, does that mean 1 ticket = 1 slot?
4. Is there a limit how many slots can one person take?
369  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain Introduces the S19 and S19 Pro on: March 24, 2020, 01:01:37 PM
You could be right, but wasn't there a lot of problems in the 17 model with cooling also? 29.5 joules is super efficient, its gotta be a 5nm in there. The weight for the S19Pro is also slighthly lower vs the S19 model.

If its a 5nm first time, exspect a machine improvement within months, a 20 joules machine is not far of the horizons?

There was never a wide problem with S17 (any model), there was quite a few PSU problems on S17 Pro (some versions).

It could be that these (S19 models) are still 7nm, but no one knows exactly...

Also, on the other not, S19 is still for sale on Chinese website, while S19 Pro has been sold out.
And they were all limited to 10 per user there so I guess we will see the same when it goes live internationally.
370  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain Introduces the S19 and S19 Pro on: March 23, 2020, 06:29:25 PM
Ok seems like my source got the shipping date off by 1 day, and actual prices now are  $2928 for the pro (off by $28), and the S19 is $2184 (off by $84), or maybe that price is for bulk orders, I know bitmain does that, are you aware of when the prices were listed on the Chinese website? because last I checked there were not there.

Prices were up (and selling started) at 14:00 (GMT +8) if I remember correctly. I checked in at 16:30 (GMT +8) and they were still selling with exact prices you just listed here.

Also, I checked fifteen minutes ago and S19 Pro's were sold out while S19 were still up for sale (not 100% sure about current situation).

International shipping has not yet been disclosed nor has been price posted on their English website.

I'll take 16. TY
372  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain Introduces the S19 and S19 Pro on: March 23, 2020, 09:20:42 AM
I got a sneak peek on the first batch date as well as prices, May 10 to 20  for the first batch, price is $2100 for S19 and 2900 for S19 pro.

I am 99% certian my source is reliable, in fact they are so confident that they started to take pre-orders starting from today.

What do you guys think of these prices given they are post-halving.

That is not a sneak peek, but rather almost exact information. Miners are up for sale on Chinese website.
Prices are very close to what you said as well as dates (they are shipping right on halving dates).

Also, internationally, they will be selling soon but big miners can already contact them and get offers.

I will be updating OP as soon as they release prices for international sale.

F) China has great discipline. They closed everything, went full quarantine for few weeks and isolated the virus. That being said, Italy is getting stomped by virus and they are still not cancelling their Bus/Metro transportation let alone thinking about full lock-down.

Meanwhile even in Serbia (with much less cases of Corona), we are only able to move out of house between 5 AM and 5 PM and all transportation is cancelled, all borders are locked and there is no import/export unless it is extremely necessary. As of next week, we might be in full quarantine (no moving out of house) and that will not be fun at all.

Ti imaš svoje referale, korisnici 'ispod' tebe imaju svoje itd...

Nobody gives a shit about your short term money laundering scheme, sell for what you want, don't impose. simple as that.
In the mean time, where is the competitors to Grin.. I see daily flops of mostly Europeans making utterly stupid public statements about their coin being used to buy daily objects, including icecream.. I mean, What The Fuck people.. no coherent absolute sane business person will invest to your stupid idea of god-damned ice-cream for your kid everyday if there is no DECENT incentive for them.. if you do not understand the absolute basics of business I would suggest, as a non-negative inclination to the braniacs out there, DONT SUGGEST OR TALK ABOUT THINGS YOU HAVE NO EXPERIENCE WITH OR HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT. No offense but at least, simple as that. Yes, simple the fuck as that. Idiots...

I quoted this as it is interesting to say the least.

I also deleted it.

Maybe its some type of bot that posted that. Or someone who just used Google translate because I honestly have no idea what he is talking about. I read it 3 times. I know its written in English but I can't understand anything he is trying to say. Maybe someone building up posts and they just plagarised someone else's post somewhere else on the internet. Basically just kept it long to make it legit.

Don't take it personally. I've been attacked before on the internet by trolls and sometimes it makes me upset too. If you didn't delete his post I would search his other posts and see what else he posts but I can't find access to his user info page.

I already did search him before Phil deleted the post. It seems that he hasn't been active since 2018 and then 2 random posts in ANNO and here. Possibly hacked account.
377  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain Introduces the S19 and S19 Pro on: March 16, 2020, 11:32:01 PM
Actually, I think it is worth buying it as soon as it comes out. Bitmain will be forced to lower the prices due to current recession and they will probably pump up those prices if BTC spikes again. However, waiting for S21(presumably) is another good option.

Personally, I would buy at least 2 S19s but I am unable since Bitcoin tanked and I have to save cash as we are currently in quarantine in our country.

Zasto bi uopste zalazili u thread koji se bavi referral coin-om tj. piramidom?  Traze KYC, nema svrhu, i nema vrednost - rekao bih da je shitcoin ali to bi bilo premalo reci.
379  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: It is 2020 time for a new diff thread. on: March 16, 2020, 02:26:12 AM
Some researches suggest that higher temperatures will slow down the spreading of the coronavirus...

That is highly unlikely, as Corona has spread all the way even into the hotter parts of Earth (Australia for example).

Also, it has been around 20C and more for last few days in Serbia, and it continued spreading as fast as any other country.

Also, Serbia is as of 8 hours ago in full lock down - quarantine. We are (same as Italians) not allowed to leave house unless we have written document stating that we have to (due to work or any other valid reason).

We (Serbians) are not that big part of crypto market, but I just wanted to share my current status.
