361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][VTR] vTorrent - Share with freedom | 2FA | HD | @Bittrex on: May 16, 2017, 03:14:02 PM
I have a series of questions to pose to the DEV team.  Most of these are from reading back in the thread, as well as being active in the slack channel, so I’m bringing up stuff others have also been wondering about.  There is a growing sentiment of “what the heck is going on around here”, so hopefully we can get some clarity on these issues in the form of response from the DEV team.  Here goes:

#1:  In post #2216, we are discussing how “pieces” of torrent files are not transacted (leacher to seeder) on the VTR blockchain, but rather through micropayment channels using tokens that interchange with VTR coins.  Where at in the development cycle are the payment channels?

#2:  In post #2226, ik_do discussed hopes for the client in terms of: ease of use, ease of search, web of trust (seeder rating system), chatrooms, and adoption incentives.  This was an excellent, far-reaching post.  Can you discuss any plans in the development process to address any of these goals?

#3:  Most people who have researched this project understand the technology can make those using it the target of actions ranging from harassment from ISPs to much worse.  Does the client currently or in the future plan to help mask the commonly used identifiers of nodes on the network?  Or, is this left to the best practices of the users of the client?  For folks less technically savvy, what suggestions can be made in regards to better protecting your node from easy identification so that the network can scale safely?

#4:  In post #2822, it is asked if the client will offer any ways to protect people seeding torrents?  This goes hand in hand with the above, but also, will the planned I2P and TOR integration be handled through the client or by users running these services on their own?

#5:  Are there any plans for the client to provide for the use case of private tracker groups through some combination of the blockchain, in-wallet chat, or RIOT implementation?  Or, are their plans for some stripped-down version of a market to allow for this?  Even without torrents implemented, being able to encourage private trackers to use the client would be a boon.

#6:  Is the DEV team waiting for BEP 51 or any other BEPs (BitTorrent Enhancement Proposals) to be completed in order for your deployment of in-wallet torrent to be ready?

#7:  Is RIOT chat implementation ready for testing yet?  Are there any details on its implementation you can share at this time such as where the data will be stored and if masternodes may be needed and/or optional with this feature?  Can you share how ‘private’ chatting inside the client will be with this implementation?

#8:  Lastly, late last year there was some great discussion around work on incentivizing seeders and working on the economics for seeding/leaching.  With the input that was generated, have you made any solid plans for what this model will look like in vTorrent?

Also, many have commented on the activities of a 0.8.2 node on the network.  Can you comment on the nature of this node?

---------------------------------

Those are my questions, but there are other points I’d like to make.  In post #3022 and then on several occasions afterwards, the community has discussed a desire to create some sort of marketing and PR front.  In most crypto projects I’ve seen do well, there is a clear collaboration between the community and the DEV team or the DEV team is doing active communication on their own.  I feel this community has the numbers and know how to get things done, we have a community built website, also reference post #4042 for instance, community created videos, etc.  However, the MAJOR thing holding us back is the lack of any real broad updates from the DEV team since the OP really.  We need clarity, if not on all the above questions, then at least on some.  Also, a whitepaper, roadmap, milestones, or a dedicated trusted go-between person should be produced or appointed by the DEV team.  If funding is an issue to do any of these, I’m sure the community would step up because ANY news on this front will surely act to bolster the price.  With information coming from the DEV team, we will actually have something to go out and spread the word about.  Right now, despite great development that has taken place, we have little to talk about, so stagnation is occurring.

More importantly, communication on these items will solve what I see to be the main issue in moving this project forward from the social or network propagation standpoint.  The supporters and investors of this project as well as would-be buyers are simply turned off by the lack of stated future plans and goals from our trusted DEV team.  In order to grow the network and get our active connections up from the tens of nodes, to the hundreds of nodes and more, we need to know where this is heading.  The DEV team speaks about needing solid foundations and have shown us they are creating them technically.  Now, use words and not code to respond to community questions (or by appointing someone who can collaborate with you on this social front) and state the future plans and by doing so you’ll be building the SOCIAL foundations – a distributed group of active nodes to help the network effects grow.  This in turn will grow community support which may lead to help aiding your technical efforts to build the technological foundations to grow and then scale this thing.

This is a very well thought out post, so thanks for that The Bitcoin Painter.

I'd also like to see some answers to these devs. I'm very patient but people are starting to get worried now.

It was a very well and thought out post, but i'm afraid it was in vain, as the dev will not answer. I hope you guys are staring to see the dev for his true colours? He is an utter dick. The guy does not give a fuck about any of his investors, he just silent trolls us.

Remember back in December when he said we would get a new client in two weeks, two weeks came and went, so he then decided to that we would get riot embedded into the new wallet like coins101 asked, but i'm afraid that was just a stall tactic, there is no riot or no wallet.

It fucking May now, this guy is just taking the piss. There are better projects out there to earn money off than this.

You gotto ask yourself does this guy deserve your support any longer?

Like I said previously "worst dev in crypto".

EncryptoTel Team please confirm this! Sasha said that you agreed to make a vote for the investors to decide whether the $1M should be refunded.

Sasha has come up with the correct response to the situation, put it to a vote, i'd be happy to go along with what ever the majority voted, it would be the fairest way to handle this.
363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥[ICO]EncryptoTel: Secure VoIP and B2B blockchain communications infrastructure on: May 11, 2017, 11:08:19 AM
How many others agree and would like to get their funds back?

Not me. I am happy they raised more. More = greater success of having the funds they need to carry the project through to fruition.

Your happy even though they lied and are going to dilute the value of your your token by adding a lot more to the supply?
364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥[ICO]EncryptoTel: Secure VoIP and B2B blockchain communications infrastructure on: May 11, 2017, 10:52:31 AM

So you oversold your ICO and are just going to keep the funds?

Wow... this is ganna go down like a brick shit house.

You can't just suddenly issue an extra 50% more tokens. People invested with the expectation of a certain number of tokens are going to be in the market. I mean don't get me wrong I think the extra funds will help encryptotel grow quicker and faster, which is great and TBH as a Waves holder having that many waves locked up in this project till 2018 is great!

I think $3mil was a low cap for such a great project ...but that's why a lot of people invested! Prepare for the shit storm this could create! 50% extra is not a small amount!

100% agree, the devs fucked up big time, it's gonna drop like a rock as soon as we can trade it.
365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥[ICO]EncryptoTel: Secure VoIP and B2B blockchain communications infrastructure on: May 11, 2017, 10:41:27 AM
Greedy cunt.

I didn't invest on these terms.

I say the ICO is null and void as you broke your own terms, due to your fucking greed, you have fucked this project before it's even got started.

Fuck your worthless token I want my BTC back.

How many others agree and would like to get their funds back?

If enough of us agree then we would be within our rights to get our funds from the escrow back.
366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥[ICO]EncryptoTel: Secure VoIP and B2B blockchain communications infrastructure on: May 11, 2017, 05:42:00 AM
I won't be supporting this project due to the greed of the developers, they clearly violated the terms of the ICO.

Sly tactics if you ask me, this shows them for their true colours, honesty and transparency goes a long way with a lot of people, they have clearly stained their reputation.

And fuck all the shills who wanna collect the signature bounty.
367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥[ICO]EncryptoTel: Secure VoIP and B2B blockchain communications infrastructure on: May 10, 2017, 08:42:28 PM
Wait a minute the ICO is still going on?

3 million hard cap has been thrown after the window?

What a pity. They have been ticking all the right boxes until now. This one wrong decision changes everything. It shows their words can't be trusted.

All the trust and reputation will be lost if they don't rectify this blunder.

Wouldn't surprise me if people start demanding refunds for blatant breaching of ICO terms.

Coming perilously close to being called a SCAM.

We should contact the escrower and ask for a refund as they clearly violated the terms of the ICO
368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥[ICO]EncryptoTel: Secure VoIP and B2B blockchain communications infrastructure on: May 10, 2017, 07:05:28 PM
The official word on this was posted and shared by our lead developer and CEO this morning in this post:

https://medium.com/@encryptotel/encryptotel-crowdsale-ends-with-the-collection-of-3-million-e17a6bf4444b

EncryptoTel crowdsale ends with the collection of $3 million!

We would like to take this opportunity to say a very big ‘thank you’ to all of our supporters for making this project possible.

The EncryptoTel crowdsale is over! The generosity of our investors and some extremely favourable market conditions have meant that we hit our $3 million cap before the formal end of the crowdsale.

Demand for ETT proved overwhelming, and we are extremely grateful for all the support the community have shown us. In the coming weeks and months, we look forward to rewarding your commitment to us by working hard and disrupting a sector we believe blockchain technology has much to offer.

The next step is a thorough audit of all deposits made during the course of the crowdsale, before the EncryptoTel Token is created on the Waves and Ethereum blockchains. You will appreciate that, as a one-off event, this is something that must be done right and can consequently take some time as the required checks are undertaken.

Once this has been completed, investors will be able to withdraw their tokens from their crowdsale accounts. As a Waves token, ETT will immediately be available to trade on DEX, as well as Ethereum’s decentralised exchange. If you missed out on the crowdsale or were hoping to pick up more ETT, these are the best places to buy in the short term. We’ll be looking for further exchange partners and hope to announce additional listings as soon as possible.

The cryptocurrency markets are extremely volatile at the moment, with BTC, WAVES, ETH and ETC experiencing significant movements in price. Due to this factor, it’s likely that the dollar equivalent of the funds collected will fluctuate above and below the $3m mark. We also understand that display issues have prevented some investors from making deposits. In recognition of these factors, will will be leaving the crowdsale open for a final 24 hours, before closing it for good. We consider this the fairest way of ensuring investors all get a chance to commit funds, without unduly diluting our market cap.

Once again, thank you for your support and we look forward to a bright future together!

How on earth is it over when your still collecting money until ICO closing 12:00 UTC, May 11

What about the 1M waves deposited after the 3M was hit?

You have clearly violated the terms of the ICO.
369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥[ICO]EncryptoTel: Secure VoIP and B2B [Suspicious link removed]munications infrastructure on: May 10, 2017, 06:58:34 PM
This statement from Encryptotel simply means: WE AT ETT ARE GREEDY PIGS! Doesn't make ANY sense!!! I highly regret for investing in this ICO.

Let's not forget they would of started the project if they collected the minimum of 100K usd

Greedy pigs is not far wrong.

Now that they violated the terms of the ICO, I think we would be within our right to ask the escrow to refund us.
370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥[ICO]EncryptoTel: Secure VoIP and B2B blockchain communications infrastructure on: May 10, 2017, 05:26:49 PM

Awesome point, they broke the terms of the ICO we should get our BTC back.

I hope developers will return investment to all the greedy, and we will fly to the moon without them.  Tongue

How on earth is it greedy pointing that the devs have broken the terms of the ICO? The only greed round here is from the dev team.
371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥[ICO]EncryptoTel: Secure VoIP and B2B blockchain communications infrastructure on: May 10, 2017, 05:05:19 PM
Nothing to lose the number of coins decrease at the same time the value of ETele increase . i hope the addition fund used to stabilize the market price when lunch and further development as well .

Wrong, you get one ETT for every 4700 sat invested, more money invested past the 3M limit means more coins created. Thus making your investment worth less.

How do you know the value will increase, after this rip off ICO it could go wrong as everybody loses confidence in the team and dump it.

They won't care though as they already have way more money than they agreed to collect.

Not yet. The money is still in the escrow.

Awesome point, they broke the terms of the ICO we should get our BTC back.

Why 4,5M $ Huh It didn't stop at 3M $ ?

Unfortunately not, devs were in trouble now since it goes higher than expected. They will sure make announcement real soon.

They will try and drag this out as long as possible to line their fat wallets even further.

If they are going to deceive their investors like this, then it's not going to go well in the future of the project.
374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥[ICO]EncryptoTel: Secure VoIP and B2B blockchain communications infrastructure on: May 10, 2017, 04:02:33 PM
It's at $4.6 Million now, greedy pricks!!!

You violated the terms of the ICO, you going to answer devs?

It was supposed to be $3M now it's $4.6M, it's watered my investment down by over 50%
375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥[ICO]EncryptoTel: Secure VoIP and B2B blockchain communications infrastructure on: May 10, 2017, 03:59:47 PM
I think they are being greedy leaving the ICO open past the agreed amount, it will mean that there will be more coins created and thus watering down the coins of the people who invested prior to the agreed limit.

I agree - ICO should have been closed when the agreed level was achieved - this is quite underhand to leave open past the agreed time.

Very underhanded, this isn't what I signed up for when I invested.

They are breaking the their own ICO rules, just to be greedy, not off to a good start.

They were happy to collect $100k

Close the ICO NOW!

I agree - I invested early whilst understanding that there would be a cap at 3M USD however it appears that the team have lied to me and the other investors that have gotten in early.

Every amount invested past there 3 million should be refunded, as we speak our investment keeps getting watered down while they wallets get fatter and fatter.
376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥[ICO]EncryptoTel: Secure VoIP and B2B blockchain communications infrastructure on: May 10, 2017, 03:53:36 PM
4.5 million already. It seems that investors Fomo began.  Grin Grin

It's making our coins less valuable.
