361  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drake Wagered $1.3 million in super bowl bet using bitcoin on: February 13, 2022, 10:01:43 PM
It's been a big trend on social media since the Canadian shared his bet slips containing how much he staked on the super bowl in bitcoin. And how much he will receive in bitcoin if the Rams defeat the Cincinnati Bengals in Los Angeles, which is about $2.29 million in bitcoin.
The bet slip shows that he placed a bet in CAD and not with any cryptocurrencies, you can do that with stake where you are able to deposit with CAD or BRL using your bank account and it is going to be a huge advertisement for stake and not for Bitcoin as a whole. The entire cryptocurrency related sites will get a boosted advertisement as more people will jump in if they see that you can wage without much limit.
362  Economy / Economics / Re: Gambling with China and US on: February 13, 2022, 09:38:27 PM

The leaders of the Pacific should cease this opportunity and get the best economic deal. Since both China and US wants their partnership, these leader should consider the offers from both parties and secure the best deal. I am sure the Chinese would visit immediately after the American Secretary leaves the Pacific.
I am sure China is spending a lot of money in different parts of the world and there was a documentary earlier about their strategic investment globally as they are planning to become the next super power and i bet China will out bid the US when it comes to investment and strategic partnership and they need to be smart enough to understand the terms and conditions before jumping into a conclusion about these deals.
363  Economy / Economics / Re: Taiwan invasion - how would it affect bitcoin on: February 13, 2022, 09:08:09 PM
~
Taiwan might be too weak as a country so they are relying on a much stronger country for help. I do not see that as a big problem and if your on that situation I think you will also think of that. Taiwan invasion will have an effect in bitcoin but the effect can be mild only.
Taiwan invasion and he started this topic on October last year and still everything is fine as far as i understand and the now hot topic is Ukraine and Russian issue and the same kind of hype is created and hopefully we will not see any invasion either. Some of the companies that i know moved outside of Ukraine and i am not sure it is because of this threat or otherwise.

Any global issue might have a momentary affect to the valuation if that is being asked, other than that there is nothing in the long run.
364  Economy / Economics / Re: India's 30% tax on income from digital asset on: February 13, 2022, 08:25:30 PM
~
The top most bracket is 43% on regular income. That said, it should be noted that less than 2% of the Indian population pays any form of income tax. There are a lot of loopholes. Farmers are exempted from income tax, no matter how large is their income. The same goes for residents of certain states such as Mizoram. However gains from capital assets are being taxed at a concessional rate. For example stocks, if held for more than 12 months are taxed at a rate of 10% (and 15% in case they are being held for less than that duration).
Are you sure only 2% of the population is paying any form of income tax. With a billion population and you are saying less than 3 million people pay their income tax which is really absurd, from where you got this calculation. There might be loopholes in the system and every country will be having those loopholes but to say that just 2% of the population paying the tax is not true even according to simple google search.

A fixed 30% tax on income from digital asset is absurd, since the term loopholes were used, people will find a solution for that as well if some of them are true.
365  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: February 13, 2022, 07:15:20 PM
Tuivasa has quickly become one of my favourite fighters in the UFC. The thing I love about him is, even when he's getting absolutely battered, as he was by Lewis multiple times in that first round, he basically just bites down on his mouth guard, and swings for the heavens. I love that about him, and very rarely do you see that nitty, and gritty response. Usually, fighters try to duck their way out of it, get away, and then reset. Tui just goes for it, and while it definitely isn't always going to work in his benefit, it is entertaining to watch.
Tai Tuivasa surprised everyone because it is a huge leap in competition of him and he just showed his drastic improvement in his game plan and when things are going rough he was biting down and swinging probably against one of the heaviest punchers and Lewis landed some heavy solid shots and he was able to absorb that.

Seems a good guy outside of the UFC too, and isn't afraid to have a bit of a laugh. Adesanya did what he needed too, but to be honest I wasn't convinced he won that by the margin that some people think he did. I thought going in the final round there was an argument for it to be 2-2. Whittaker definitely could have taken that if he just took a few more risks every so often.
Even i thought the fight was 2-2 going into the last round because Whittaker was able to land take downs multiple times even though he was able to stand up. His legs were chopped up and Whittaker was one dimensional as i never saw him throw a right hand in this fight.
366  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: February 13, 2022, 03:23:54 AM
Even if Adesensay is going to be takedown, he might be able to still control the fight with his reach. He is back in his comfortable weight so it's not surprising to see him bend again.
Israel Adesanya have a good take down defense and in his weight division i think it is more than enough but i am expecting a completely prepared Robert Whittaker in the rematch as he was waiting for this for a long time. I hope he will not play to the tune of Israel Adesanya rather mix up the style and keep him guessing with take downs and heavy leg kicks.

It would be good if Dereck can execute his wrestling before he is going to be caught by Tuivasa's punches. Between the two, Tuivasa is much quicker if Tuivasa also has wrestling skills he can effectively execute to a much slower heavyweight like Dereck. Dereck relies on the opportunity for a counter-attack that his reach advantage won't count if he is caught by an aggressive fighter that can inflict heavy blows.
Derrick Lewis is fighting in his hometown and he will be a force with his one punch knockout power. The fight will not go to the distance and that is certain. I have not seen Tai Tuivasa showing any wrestling skills, i am expecting a stand and bang fight.

Main event started.

sometimes in bear periods you may have to wait longer than usual, or some people even sell and get out.
If you invested in Bitcoin or some of the top coins in the market, then there is nothing to worry. First you need to make sure that you do not sell at a loss under any circumstances. All you need to do in a bear market is to accumulate more coins and average your entry point and then wait for the market to recover or to turn bull. We are in a highly volatile market and hence selling out at loss is a really bad strategy.
368  Economy / Speculation / Re: No strength in Bitcoin in higher time frames on: February 12, 2022, 11:34:14 PM

It has gone lower. The current price shows that it might go $40k and even below that. Well, just a casual weekend matters to the market and we'll have to wait until this weekend finishes.
This would give the idea that others would think of it as it's just a bull trap. While the others analysis would be giving this form as a positive sign since it's about to get on that point of being low which has to happen for it to move higher.
The recent rally was unexpected and once the it reaches a certain valuation, you should expect big investors to book their profit and that is what is going on in the market right now. I do not view the charts all the time to determine whether it is a trap or a positive sign as most of the times the market does not move according to what is indicated in the charts, use that as a reference point and that would be fine. Wink
369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: February 12, 2022, 11:05:40 PM
Aussies are relying on domestic cricket data of Pakistan to figure out how pitches are in Pakistan.
Australia last tour was 24 years ago and its still not 100% sure whether they are coming or not.
You cannot expect green wickets in Pakistan and hence they will be looking at pitches where spinners will be having an advantage, least in the last couple of days. No idea about the qualify of wickets in domestic cricket in Pakistan. I never thought the last tour of Pakistan was 24 years ago, that is a really long time and i do think that Australia will move ahead with the tour.
370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: That is why play to earn concept is a massive failure on: February 12, 2022, 10:32:55 PM
The hype is really great and there are many projects claiming to come up with P2E games but you cannot expect them to release the best version from the start. Right now the fees are really high and there is not much great games either but in the future we can expect interesting games coming up when big game development companies start producing P2E games and then the entire landscape will change.
371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it just luck on: February 12, 2022, 10:13:01 PM
Is it just luck that I made most of my money from shitcoins and meme coins? While people are hating I always make sure I got in early and I ended up smiling, if you bought shiba at few weeks of release you know what I'm talking about, I do get some big altcoins too but this so called shitcoins gives me the best profits.
You entered in the meme market at the right time and hence you could have end up in a huge profit and entry is always the most important aspect and if you have done that then you are in a safe space and you only need to make sure you exit at the right time rather than holding them fo a very long time. Hype alone was the reason for meme coins and you cannot expect to be lucky all the time, so be careful when you invest.
372  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin the best investment at the moment? on: February 12, 2022, 09:23:11 PM

BTC is so very volatile that could any time it will pump or too much dump, waiting at the right time is the perfect advice for you. BTC has been proven that it is very profitable if you know how to wait for it. For the profitable purpose and less risk, choose BTC.
That is the hope if you are planning to invest in the market, all you need is to wait for the market correction and it can happen anytime and for every trader they love the high volatility so that they can make the maximum profit out of these market, invest when the market is bleeding red and then hold till the market recovers and repeat.
I do have assets for the long term which i wont be touching anytime soon and that i have set aside a percentage for short time trade and till now everything is going well.
373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: February 12, 2022, 08:22:03 PM
Even Kohli is facing the worst time of his career but still having very strong back up from his team and current management is very good he can fight back anytime in near future because we have a very long history of bad patches of great batsmen, and they fight back done good for their respective teams same can happen here in Kohli.
Virat Kohli was having having a dream run for a very long time and even during that period he was well aware that he would be going through a lean patch during his career and that is what is going on in his career right now. He will tweak his flaws and i am sure he will be back in form in a short period of time and one bad serious does not mean anything, he will be back in form.
374  Economy / Economics / Re: Impact of Bitfinex hack on the economy on: February 11, 2022, 11:52:04 PM
$3.5 billion recovered out of the stolen $4.5 billion by
the couple: Heather Morgan and Ilya Lichtenstein after a thorough investigations, they were arrested by the US department of Justice for being the masterminds behind the hack of Bitfinex exchange in 2016 claiming about $4.5 biliion
Not sure how i missed this news, a couple behind the hack, looks like a bond movie. So what about the $1 billion, they stashed it somewhere and usually in situations like a major hack or a major theft they usually do not recover everything and a major portion will be missing, so these hackers will get hold of the money once they get our of the jail.

What impact do you think this will have on bitcoin price if the total seizure were back into circulation?
Usually they would return to the exchange and it is not going to be in circulation all of a sudden, if not they usually auction off these. I do not see any major changes to the price because of this.
375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: February 11, 2022, 11:37:47 PM
I don't have much knowledge about Indian team family backgrounds so I can't comment on them but in the Pakistan team, yes there is a lot of nepotism. Remember the Akmal brothers (Umar Akmal and Kamran Akmal), both remained in the team together for a long time even one of them does not have good performance, the other brother ensures/pressurzies that he plays in the team.
Umar Akmal and Kamran Akmal are brother who play cricket but where does the nepotism comes in if they do not have anyone in the management that are fast tracking them in the team. Unless there is no one helping them stay in the team you can accuse them of nepotism. Kamran Akmal was the best keeper batsman available for Pakistan during that time and Umar Akmal was a decent batsman.

Indian batting looks really weak but then the tail end players always take the team to respectable target which is a good sign but the top order was struggling and in all the matches they kept rotating players which i do not understand.
Even with rotating players and none of their main bowlers are in the squad and still they are able to defend small totals. Usually in Indian wickets we expect high scoring matches but none of the matches produced big scores which was a real disappointment and West Indies batting is really pathetic as they are not even able to score anything meaningful throughout the series.

I have a lot of respect for Indians and Africans in terms of teaching technology. You see all their videos on youtube just teaching people without hype or without fame. I remember this story of one African teacher I can't remember the country, he was teaching students to use computers without computers. How? By drawing the screens for every software like Word on blackboard!

Because he knew even though they may never have computers but if they went to college they would know how to type and use software.
I think i remember this video which was circulating a few years back, one teacher teaching kids about computer with a blackboard and those kids have not seen a computer, it was heart touching to see people who are inspired to learn technological advancement but not having money to purchase one.

I see the same thing with crypto, so many influencers are teaching nonsense and gambling. But the good ones are also there teaching the good stuff and without the same recognition.
I hate the so called influencers, who are self made fake ones who usually create a social media filled with bots and then preach themselves as the hot prospect and they do nothing to the ecosystem but a thorn in the system who are there to leech money and nothing else.
378  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: February 11, 2022, 10:44:24 PM
~
The truth is that I would like to see this fight soon, but not so much because of the result because it is obvious that the winner will be Mike Tyson, and I know that in that fight he will have some compassion, I would not trust myself if I take him as an old man, the It would really scare me if I start to underestimate him, even if he is about 80 years old, I think that with just one punch from him it is possible to quickly knock him out, this is a legendary boxer and I would fight him with all the respect in the world and taking care of myself, but I think that this meeting will not be decided yet, I think that what they are looking for is to have more publicity for the corresponding wait.
I think it is time to stop thinking about this fight, Mike Tyson is old and he does not need to go against someone who is really young and even if one punch from Mike Tyson will floor anyone, i do not think this is a fair fight. First Paul brothers are not even in his league. But i would like to see Evander Holyfield and Mike Tyson throwing their hands now and that will interest me.
379  Economy / Speculation / Re: Deception of manipulators or new rise in prices? on: February 11, 2022, 09:58:57 PM
~
According to the laws of the market, most participants lose their money, and I think that market makers will not raise prices now, because many people bought bitcoin in the range of 45-60 thousand dollars.
I think that this is a big deception and a trap, after which the price will be reduced first to the range of 32 thousand and then even lower, for example, by 25 thousand.
Even i was expecting the market to go down well below $30k but i have no idea when that would be, we have seen instances where the price went below $35k showing a pattern of the major corrections we used to see in the past after a major correction but then all of a sudden the market rallied once again and now showing resistance around $45k. So it is hard to predict when we would see a situation when the market goes well below $25k or this is the new trend Undecided.
380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How would you distribute an ERC-20 token at scale for cheap ? Any alternatives ? on: February 10, 2022, 11:56:13 PM
Ethereum transcation fee is too much for 2+ year. You have to accept it Because it is not decreasing in any way. But you can use multisender app for distribution. This will save you some time and transcation cost.
https://multisender.app/ visit this website and connect your wallet by metamusk or any other wallet via wallet Dapp. and go for distribution.

Structure - Sender wallet,token amount
Example - 0x72ei48939384849382iew888737,100
                - 0x82ie83oe93ie83848858829984ie,100
Once you load the wallet you will see that the fees will be incredibly high even with multisender. There is no way you can overcome that with the ETH network. Multisend will save your time sending everything at once but not the high fees. I tried to send BEP 20 tokens to 1000 wallets and they asked for 0.6 BNB as fees a few months back and you can expect the same level of fees for ETH as well.
