361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I'm jsut starting, please help. on: September 16, 2021, 12:42:44 PM
Hello there fellow forum users,

A friend of mine just told me about this crypto mining, and I decided to give it a go, and might have some profit.

My Pc is :
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA G1 650W
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170X-UD3
CPU: I7 6700
RAM: 3200MHz DDR4 RAM Corsair Vengeance LPX Black CL16 - 2x8GB
VGA: Gigabyte GTX970 Xtreme

My question would be, that which coins should I try to farm and with which program ?
I was trying to follow this guide : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6K0tgwEuMYI

But I stumbled into a wall in the first minute, cause I could not download any working version of Phoenix miner, cause my pc, or browser always told me there is a virus in the files.

Please help me with some instructions, how to start this,
Any help would be appreciated,

Thank you,

psu ok
mootherboard ok
cpu ok
ram ok
gpu not valid
advice try buy some used gpu amd series rx400,rx500,rx5000/6000,rxvega, nvidia rtx3060+ series
adding more psu for multi gpu mining and i think cpu&ram to overkill for mining, better build new dedicated rigs, with dedicated motherboard
362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Background GPU minig system on: September 13, 2021, 03:41:58 AM
Hello.

We want to introduce Prometherion - system of background GPU minig.
It is suitable for gaming PC clubs - to mine when PC is not used by User.
It can be used both on AMD and nVidia GPUs with optimal parameters for each series of GPUs (power limits, memory and processor frequencies) to avoid their damage and to
reduce energy consumption.
It has up to 5 triggers to pause mining. For example: User logs on, "explorer.exe" is a trigger to stop mining process. After User logs out, "explorer.exe" stops and mining process continues.

It can mine Etherium (ETH), RavenCoin (RVN) and Etherium Clasic (ETC).
To order the build you need to choose coin, pool and give your wallet adress.

!!!Important!!!
Product detects by antivirus software (so it must be added to AV exceptions) and requires administrator rights to set up. So it can not be used for botnets and other unofficial ways of distribution.
But if you are an owner of PC gaming club - this product can interest you.

Also you can be an agent between us and final customer, who can be interested in our product.

FAQs.

Q: How much does it cost?
A: There are two schemes of work :
    1) 3 minutes of every hour GPU is working for creators + 50% of CPU
    2) 10 minutes of every hour GPU is working for creators without any CPU usage

Q: Can I buy installator that will work only for me?
A: No.

Q: Can I use it to mine other coins on other pools.
A: Yes, but it need time to write a build with optimal parameters for your needs, and we will do this for more than 200 PCs to install on.
Meh you selling miner to steal hashing power on user most likely used on their work, office, server. This thing ruined small miner, specially cpu mining ⛏️,
363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Solo Mining(LTC, Monero)? on: September 13, 2021, 01:47:02 AM
I apologize in advance for my English.
I have a mini PC Raspberry pi 3b, on which I want to try solo mining, the same litecoin. I understand, of course, that this is a risky business that may not bring any income at all, but still I have it lying idle and I would like to try this opportunity, is it possible to mine coins through a mini PC.
Raspberry pi3 mine asic coin lol,  raspberry yeah is strong build quality, i used that more than 7 years for controlling power my rigs, i dont think you can lucky got some rewards in your lifetime mining, good for experiments then
364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What's your expectation for 3090ti in terms of hashrate on: September 12, 2021, 10:33:44 AM
There is a rumour going around online that 3090ti is coming, hehe I hope Nvidia will find a way to make this one have better cooling than 3090s and I do hope 3090ti can be so good for mining, roughly 180MH to 200MH maybe
Thats weird the biggest performance gpu always came first and thats marketing purposes, nah 3090 ti dont expected to exist at this point, even right now rtx 3080ti cost alot, small performance jump from non ti
365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Masternode and PoW mining on: September 12, 2021, 10:13:42 AM
I might decide to move into masternode in the future if ETH pow algorithm isn't no more but what and what will I need to get masternode running? I have no clue about it i just heard it's good way to earn money too, anyone know a good tutorial link or videos? Also what do you think about masternode Vs pOW mining?
Nah masternide is need huge amount of money really, and if looking for income, better to mining instead, masternode is risky holding ton of coins, and the price of coin it self volatile, masternode required 500k$-5m$ most of the coin, with those money you can build nice mining farm
366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Are there coins suitable for CPU mining? on: September 11, 2021, 10:48:13 AM
I have a Dell 7920 workstation that has a pretty poor GPU - Nvidia Quadro P2200, with a hash rate of about 13.5 Mh/s. I'm currently using this to mine some Ethereum at 2minors.com, but only to learn the process, as it is uneconomic for me. Electricity costs in the UK are too high - only people stealing electricity, or having their own solar/wind generation, can making mining pay here.

Although the GPU in this Dell workstation is poor, the workstation has a large amount of RAM (384 GB), and a couple of 26-core CPUs, although the CPUs only run at 2.0 GHz. I would like to upgrade to some faster CPUs with more cores, but the faster CPUs with more cores are really expensive.

I'm wondering if there are any coins that are worth mining on a CPU.

Dave

Nah & meh no profitable cpu mining these day with these cpu mining algo,
They crowded by. Malmware mining, and some duchess who had accesible to server rigs, that who dont own this thing, only stealing computing while they working
367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Newbie miner needs help on: September 11, 2021, 02:49:18 AM
Hi guys name is ed, I'm new to crypto mining I need info about building rigs for long life purpose, is it safe to build rigs with closed cases or open cases? I know heat are GPUs worst enemies but I'm talking about closed cases made for mining with many fans on them, the reason why I ask is I'm not sure that  exposure to dusts is safe for Motherboards and GPU, what am I missing ?
yes you can build mining rigs with closed case, but the dust will be same as open case, the fan needed for closed case is alot, and yeah you need buy chinese motherboard for non riser board and thoses high rpm fan, will collectiong dust  same as no fan on open case, while closed case you can stack it with frame, server like mining
368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Am I wrong? on: September 10, 2021, 10:36:21 AM
People keeps telling us to stop buying GPUs, thats because they care and don't want us to end up making mistakes they did years back where profits from mining because almost stupid and not worth the hassle but how will you feel if BTC manages to stay at high price for another several months? Won't you feel sad for not jumping in today? Another reason is crypto adoption since 2020 is something we've never seen before, I believe this is why bull season is still alive this long, am I wrong?
maybe the bull continue break 4years cycle in pandemic situation where ppl working on their home, and there is lot shifting to digital, and thats chance to crypto demand still intact, who knows,

and yeah many alt still in bottom didnt see sign of kind alt season like 2017 did, mostly whale pumping their new coin and beacuse defi&nft the freedom minting&manipulation easier than before,

maybe the reason many old alt stagnant
369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Just tell me if this is a bad idea on: September 09, 2021, 09:42:36 AM
Im looking forward to build my own house 🏘️ soon but an idea came up in my mind today, here is what I think

In my country 20,000$ is enough to build a very good looking home so my thought is since I'm not in a rush to build the house very quickly why can't I just use that money to build mining rigs instead? Then forward the money every three months to build the house slowly ? Like I said I'm not in a rush can take me two to three years to build I don't mind

The reason why this comes to mind is I think having something left after building a home makes sense than just throwing that cash for a home direct, what do you think ?
On this bullrun better focus on crypto side, mining is safer option, but at this very moment to expensive for built mining right, i'm sure if yout right price, roi 4months should be doable, and after you got money back, only left profit continue + got new house
370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Gaming or mining on laptops on: September 09, 2021, 09:36:40 AM
Which one kills laptops more faster? Mining or gaming? I read online that gaming on laptops have more demand on mobile GPU than mining and if you mine on the laptop only the laptop will live more longer than intense gaming, anyone have experience with laptop gaming and mining here?
Mining constantly 24/7, gaming only few times a day, if gaming took 12hrs per day, that consider killing faster than mining, on gaming like maxout setting on game most demanding, it should take power twice as mining, and the laptop reach around 80+gpu, 87+cpu temp, while mining eth only 60c and consume 60% from gaming, the only things hit really hard both gaming/mining on vram gpu usage
Vram/gddr have limited tbw lifespan, no document explain how much is it, even your smartphone rom/internal memory, ssd , ram, and many other memory's has tbw lifespan
371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Question About Mining Returns on: September 08, 2021, 01:22:07 PM
I visited a guy, he mines ethereum and raven with 7 gpus. Investment was about 22k usd and he gets about 30 usd a day.

Looking at it, it will take 2 years and then it's autopilot income. What am I missing?
Yup you missing alot heheh 7 gpus only cost under 7K$ and make around 30$, assuming electric price arround 0.1$ and yeah mining is like farming, if you sell instead each day, your calculations is right, better hold it you earning at bullrun and dump at peak, and when bear market, sell each days is considered safer bet
372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Team Black Miner!(Ethereum, Ethereum classic, Vertcoin, Zilliqa + dual 0.5% fee) on: September 08, 2021, 01:18:37 PM
What about remote-api is built in? If not please add in, and make simple one, i hope many user, especially veteran know what you're doing, and considering using your miner, and add more algo
373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Good investment or bad one? on: September 07, 2021, 12:26:21 PM
Would you invest 2000$ on a 140MH rig? Forget what the GPUs are I'm talking about MH wise, is this a good investment or a bad one?
If the rigs is pc then is worthed, if asic better buying coin then, there is no single gpu can do 140mhs at this very moment, and dedicated gpu mining from nvidia has no resale value in the future, dual rtx 3060ti or 3070ti should be fit in your budget
374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Team Black Miner!(Ethereum, Ethereum classic, Vertcoin, Zilliqa + dual 0.5% fee) on: September 07, 2021, 12:17:13 PM
Was today the fourth of july if not, is empire Striking back or what
Did you compete with team red miner,  Grin, but we all know you 're here from long time ago for free miner, to bitcointalk community, congratulations for black edition then Grin
375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Asking about 3060 card laptop mining (need help). on: September 06, 2021, 01:52:30 PM
Hey Guys,
I hope you are all good and doing well.

I am new here to this forum, and new to mining in general.
I wanna ask you about Laptop mining.
So currently I am thinking of purchasing ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15 GA503 model. The one that has Nividia 3060 RTX card.

Now I heard about the Nividia hash limiter and what so ever  Embarrassed. So is this limiter applies to Laptops cards as well? if so, what is the solution to this problem?  Huh
How many  MH/s should 3060 (Laptop version) produce without any limiter?

Note: I will not be using the laptop just for mining 24/7. But during like sleeping time or when I am not using the laptop for other stuff.

Thanks in advance.
mostly samsung memory which is durable for mining, no limiter applied to laptop card
there is 2 model from rtx 3060 laptop :
6000mhz memory only maxout 38.5mhs with oc (83w whole system)
7000mhz memory maxout 48-49mhs with oc
before you buy, should check this memory speed, and every country maybe different
and yeah 6000mhz one can be flash to 7000mhz but fail to gain more in oc
i've been mining with this laptop for 3 months and got 0.2 eth, april-july, and already stop mining after to much difficulty spike & many layer 2 join the network
atleast 0.2eth if eth hit 5500$ my laptop already roi only 3 months back then, i bought at 1100$ msi series

these laptop mining is cooler than desktop card which is weird lol around 60c, and consume only 83w from the wall, that freaking whole system, a bit tricky mining on laptop you need msi afterburner with curve setting activated
and fan setting only manage by built-in application from the laptop itself, cannot override by 3rd party software

i must say rtx 3060 laptop is the most stable hardware in mining i ever had, beyond other desktop card, and the most simple configuration, specially for eth, its pretty cheap laptop with this time being compared gpu desktop

my advice you can mine this laptop with 500w solar + 3200w lifepo4 battery, off-grid
376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CPU Mining altcoins on: September 05, 2021, 05:53:16 AM
I wanted to ask you if nowadays it does exist a profitable altcoin for cpu mining that you could recommend me.

Thanks for your answer
Nah isnt profitable mine on cpu, and hard to scalable, because most of cpu mining crowded by trojan mining infected ton of pc arround the world, us profitable if the coin itself just start to mine or fair launch and you got early mining
377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Am I doing this right? on: September 05, 2021, 05:49:41 AM
As a newbie to crypto mining I'm happy that I was able to build a rig myself with the information I gathered online most especially bitcointalk forum, I managed to set up 6 RTX3060 on my own, I just want to know if cranking GPU fan speed up to 80% safe for the GPU and it's fan? I don't want fan to die on the before getting my ROI back
Hello django is safe running 80% fan, and dont guaranteed your fan will last longer, depend on humidity, temp, dust, and luck.   I'm running 99% fan 4 years from 8 gpus ref vegas, 5 die atleast around 2-3years, and the other still strong, on dual fan gpus is longer lifespan because they run lower rpm
378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nvida CMP 170HX 164MH/s on: September 04, 2021, 11:51:25 AM
Is possible if they had minimum 1.5tb memory bandwidth and most likely newer hbm will fit, but the price will be to expensive for miner specially nvidia side, the cheapest one radeon 7 that had 1tb bandwidth perfome 100+mhs, cost 700$ and the card itself have many failure in customer hand
379  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is it reasonable to start a new GPU mining farm right when eth 2.0 is so close? on: September 04, 2021, 11:46:53 AM
I know that this has been asked a billion times already, and I know that it has been talked about a billion times as well, but nobody seems to have the right answer. Everyone keeps saying that oh we may move to ravencoin or etc in order to keep going, but looking at their hashrate it is not even close, the hashrate at ethereum ALL will be gone with it, and it will be going to somewhere, and if you do it on the other two, you need the prices to go up insanely high to make it profitable.

So once again I wanted to ask this, if ravencoin and etc doesn't profit the miners, and if 2.0 comes and there is no mining ethereum, then what will the miners do? I really want to start a mining rig and then keep using it is profits to keep growing it, I have sufficient income to sustain myself so only thing I am expecting from my rig is to help me earn enough money to get one more and then one more and grow it.

However this is a long term idea and with 2.0 coming up in a year or so, I am not sure if it really worths it. Even the R&D guy on ETH development team said that it will be pretty hard to make profit after we hit 2022, and that scares me the most. What do you guys think? Should I go for it? It is going to be tough if I do it, but maybe it may work out? Or maybe it will suck after 2.0 and we will all lose money? What is your opinion?
Heheheh maybe eth.2 pos you meant, which is unclear when this happen, maybe 2 year from now maybe sooner, and many farmer already thought about this, maybe they will create other mining coin, other than many mineable coin out there wont be enough for that times happen
380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Enjoy while it lasts on: September 03, 2021, 03:48:29 AM
Attention all LHR GPU owners, switch to ETH right now and make more money, abandon ergo and Ravencoin cos today ETH profits are way higher and thanks to NBminer ver 39+ I'm able to get my 3070ti up to 57mh this is earning me 6$+ since yesterday
Nah that depend on your gpus, my vegas better run on ergo, most of times got 50% more profit rather than eth. But the network to small for big farm, eth lasting long no worry for big dump in any case running big farm, isnot easy to switch other algo, with different config
